self-love is me resisting the urge to eat the leftovers I have in the fridge as a bedtime snack, out of compassion and adoration for future-me, who deserves to wake up in the morning and eat something delicious without having to cook it first

Making Emmrich's Hazelnut Torte

so, in a codex entry Emmrich gives lucanis a recipe that his mother used to make

Me and @themournwatcher decided to try and make it

We followed the recipe, except I stupidly overfilled my pan so it kind of deflated

Apparently Nevarrans make their food very beautiful which we did not succeed at. The presentation was... a bit sad

But the taste was really good!

This fried Black Pomfret (Parastromateus niger) has few bones which makes it easy to eat. The cauliflower, mum cooked it with leftover char siu that she likes to buy from the roast stall in Chong Pang. Steamed rice is a mixture of white and purple rice.
