so not only the "the deadline's passed so the quest has failed" change served for letting us see percy going from wanting to have nothing to do with the gods to giving the bolt to zeus himself, but we also saw poseidon literally surrending to zeus and saving his son for the second time this season because he cares, he cares so much about him, while in the book he says he's sorry he was born. don't talk to me.

a little detail i'm loving about the series so far is how the main three all have their 'smart' moments. one of the things that left me disappointed about the movie was how percy was the one that got most of the ideas and plans, and annabeth (I wouldn't even had thought she was athena's daughter if I didn't already know) and grover felt like simple bystanders. here, everyone can shine (see annabeth in e2 using percy for strategy in capture the flag or grover noticing glass on echidna's jacket etc).

So how’s ride kamens going for you as I just pulled my self together long enough to read the other half of the current main story

I've been working on catching up on the event stories since they announced the upcoming main story update! (I totally bombed the last few events...they're so fast-paced and I just didn't have time...😭)

and then of course they went and dropped THIS on us today
