Il terrario della Dendrobates

Il mio progetto consiste nel ricreare un piccolo ecosistema biotopo all’interno di un terrario, integrando all’opera un video esplicativo della fasi di lavorazione.  L’idea è quella di ricreare una zona palustre dell’america centrale, in quanto, il terrario viene progettato secondo le necessità di un determinato animale che abita questa zona: la specie Dendrobates, ovvero rane di piccole dimensioni, che variano di specie in specie la loro colorazione. All’interno di questo piccolo habitat inserirò proprio il tempio di Tikal Jaguar, in quanto opera architettonica presente nella zona geografica in cui vivono questi animali. Il terrario inoltre sarà bioattivo, termine che indica una pulizia autonoma, ricreata dai vari substrati (torba di sfagno, corteccia, sabbia e muschio) con l’ aggiunta di isopodi (”insetti spazzini”), una squadra composta da collemboli e onischi che permetteranno di pulire e nutrirsi di qualsiasi materiale organico presente nel terrario.

Il progetto, realizzato qui con il programma Sculptris e prototipi in cartone, rappresenta un gruppo di nuvole da cui piovono coltelli. L'opera verrà realizzata con materiali leggeri poiché verrà appesa sopra le teste dei passanti all'interno dell'orto botanico di Urbino ... i coltelli rappresentano le conseguenze dello sfruttamento delle risorse ambientali ma anche quello dei lavoratori e del sovraffollamento delle popolazioni ... che hanno avuto rilevanza nella formazione dell'attuale situazione di disagio.
