Made rose-lemonade with pink food colouring and edible gold glitter as an offering for Freyja ♡
Also did some divination for some suspicions I had and yeah, three constructed deities I thought were connected were in fact all Freyja.
Like I said on Discord. Three Freyjas in a trenchcoat xD
And the Veiled Silence has revealed herself as Holle.
So quite some changes in the personal pantheon! Both have shown interest in teaching me magic and Otherworldly travel, so this will be interesting

masai condescendingly referring to cleon as “miss”, and then a moment later cleon using it as an honorific when referring to cyrus, is such a slick way of acknowledging his hypocrisy without so much as breaking the flow of her argument

I don't know WHY, but for some reason I've had a vision of a Golden Ratio Slay the Princess AU.
I genuinely don't know why, maybe it's because of Ratio's owl motif and one of 2.1 quests being named A Cat Among Pigeons (in reference to Agatha Christie and possibly Aventurine's role) and then later owning three black cakecats even if he's mostly associated with peacocks? Maybe it's because I somehow associate Aventurine's many masks and personas we see over the time we know him with the Shifting Mound's many perspectives and how both her and him are so confident their respective foil won't kill or betray them at the end of everything (and are even fine with it if it does happen), how both the Princess and Aventurine always, always fight for freedom and are denied it until the very end of their story when they finally are granted a true escape through their own efforts and an outside force be it through being show the way or death? How they're both connected to a being so much larger than them but have no say over it (the Princess being seen as only a part/perspective of the Shifting Mound even if she can be found at her heart, Aventurine was blessed by Gaiathra Triclops and ultimately none of that did them any good).
Or maybe it's because I can practically hear this line from the Princess coming out of Aventurine's mouth to Ratio the more close he is to knowing who the real Aventurine is after I woke up in a cold sweat from a nap to write this out:
"Have you figured out what you want to do yet, or are you going to keep trying to find a center that doesn't exist?"
(The Princess saying this about herself and how she's the heart of the Shifting Mound and hasn't really been herself or stopped playing a role through the entirety of the game, but in this context Aventurine saying that there is no 'Kakavasha' or 'No.35' or even 'Aventurine' anymore, just the many masks he wears even though he admits to himself he hasn't changed)
I have no idea if this is anything though or if it would fit their characters at all though. Maybe it's just a silly vision I'll write out one day, maybe not.

So i'm in the early stages of this new conlang idea, where I essentially build a language from the ground up on the assumption that it is being invented over the course of a conversation between two deific beings at the begining of a new universe. They subconsciously know all concepts that ever where and can ever be, but they can't consciously concieve of a given concept until they've given it a name.

Linktober Day 8
Constructs
Way too late if ya ask me because Nayru and Hylia have decided to forsake me but it's done. *Collapses* This one did NOT want to write itself no matter how hard I tried even if I have so many feelings about constructs, in the end Hozier, the SS and TOTK soundtrack carried this to the final stretch even if it's just a small drabble lol.
Mostly referenced this time though, something soft and nice about Sky and Reader and Constructs, can be interpreted as platonic or romantic. Day 9 and 10 prompts will be released on the same day if it all possible though depending if I actually get some darn rest and have the time (because Legend is being a bit difficult on the Linktober Shadow one in contrast to how deity is going and I have irl stuff to get done, hopefully this is good enough until then.).
Wild’s Sky Archipelagos couldn’t be different from Skyloft, though no less breathtaking. The eternal beauty of the sky ringing true and everlasting over the cloud barrier enforced by Hylia, though if the sky found in your favorite Godslayer’s was beautiful due to the life that thrived in the loneliness in spite of it all, of creating a community that would outlast the wish for entropy Demise attempted to enforce into the world with the black hole heart of his greed, then Wild’s was because of the echoes of what once was there, that it was lovely and beautiful even in ruin as nature reclaimed what belonged to it by right. That even if the people were gone they existed, they thrived and lived and loved and even in tragedy, that mattered.
And nothing reflected that better than the Constructs which of outlasted the civilization. Made out of now decayed copper and sturdy ceramic, made cute, so the people would remember to treat their new helpers kindly, and made sturdy so they’d remember the people who loved adored them and their built in sense of duty and kindness to aid any guest of friend in need and given voices so they could listen to them speak, to make them just a little closer to humanity.
‘Many of them are deactivated now,’ Wild had told you, the first time you’d all stepped foot onto the main island, it was disorienting for you and most of the Chain (except for Sky, because of course your heavenly, cloud trailblazing boy would have taken to the abandoned, atmosphere cold and echoing sun gold clear beauty of the sky island the quickest like a fish whom was questioned on their ability to swim or a falcon on their ability to hunt, you were almost jealous if not for the fact you or Four always made lunges for his collar – Crimson didn’t come with through the portal after all, nor First’s Russet’- when he attempted to follow Wild’s lead and in consequence give you heart attacks), the little beings of ceramic and old bronze completely non hostile, going about tending to the islands with their faint whirs of gears and whistles of self sustaining magic batteries, voices cold but calm, almost comforting and the first pieces of technology far away from Sky’s them that weren’t immediately hostile towards your boys, ‘Mostly the soldier ones, the Stewards have remained though. Carrying on with their duty, making the place homey even if the people are gone.’
Something about that gave you pause, lagging behind your group in a long abandoned garden, the scent of Sundelions and lavender tickling your nose and a deactivate Soldier Construct coiled up in slumber. Remembering the ancient robots in Sky’s Era, carrying on in their little pockets of time, unaware that the people they were created to aid have long since gone, that their time had long gone, of Fi, everlasting, ever sleeping Fi, bound to duty, always remembering the one’s who created her, of Sky who treated her as a friend, and always watching as people so very unlike him but achingly similar came and went, unable to do anything. Loving like a ghost.
“Guest?”, came a little mechanical chirp, you blink yourself back into awareness, a Steward floating over with a tilted head, jade ceramic earrings clinking, “If I may, you look troubled. May I offer unsolicited aid?”
You can’t help but chuckle, shaking your head gently, an idea stitching yourself in your mind like threads of silk upon a gown, “No no, sorry, I’m alright, I was just wondering. Is it alright if I come on by to pick some flowers? They’re lovely, you did a great job caring for them.”
It inclines their head, chiming, something close to delight, as much as it can express as a machine, “Ah, I see you were admiring them. If I may offer a bit of trivia, Sundelions were the queen's favorite, you may. Will you take care of them?”
You smile, gently reaching a hand to pat it’s head with a nod, it clicks and whistles, surprised, but doesn’t pull away, “Of course, may I ask you a few questions as well? I’d like to know how many Soldier Constructs are resting now.”
You should also ask Sky what Fi’s opinion is on flowers, as well.
It might be a bit silly, but they deserve it after so long.
(Later, much later, when the Chain notices you’re gone after talking to Zelda in the Temple of Time high up in the. Sky finds you in the garden, gently weaving blossoms into a crown, the construct from before amicably chatting with you as it tends to the Sundelions with a ring of flowers around it's long, long neck.
He joins you, and when asked what his and Fi’s opinion is on flowers, he tells you she won’t mind, much less him.
Later that day, Fi’s gains a crown of yarrow, bluebells and morning glories
It’s not much, but it makes Sky smile, you hope she likes them.)

People being upset with Matt for not providing the characters with an alternative view of this "should the deities be destroyed" debate from someone who is heavily involved with said deities 😬
Like first of all, this is Dungeons and Dragons, since when have the characters EVER been given all of the information they ever need? For all we know, Matt has a whole host of deity-worshipping NPCs at the ready, but none of the decisions the characters made have led them in the direction of the NPCs.
Second of all, sometimes the hardest part of decisions like these is having to make them without having all the information, is having to make them knowing absolutely nothing about what you're fighting for/against, and that's very much where the characters are, at least in this second group.
Third, I think it's been very clear from the beginning that Matt has had a purpose with this campaign and that there is potentially something world altering coming - either because they want to switch to a new game system (I don't necessarily see this because they're popular because of D&D) or because Matt wants to shift the world on its head in preparation for some sort of time jump/new world of Exandria for future campaigns.
Ultimately though, people need to let go of their expectations of this being a well-rounded debate where all sides are heard, because that's not realistic. The characters the players are playing are flawed, some of them are completely inexperienced, and none of them really have a connection to the deities. On top of that, they all have been exposed/experienced horrific things and not once have the deities stepped in... personally, I think it makes sense that there might be some pause, especially in the very first few days of them going on this journey, about whether or not they should stop the releasing of Predathos or just allow the deities to be destoryed.

Thank you so much for the tarot reading you did for me a little while back 💜 i'm sorry it's taken me so long to say that! i do rather think you have prophetic gifts, by the way- it was spookily accurate and helped me a lot 🔮
No problem! I'm glad it was helpful to you!
I do tend to get at least one message like this every time I do a tarot night for my followers, and like... you are totally entitled to that belief! What do I know about psychic phenomena and prophecy anyway? lmao. Maybe I am psychic.
But personally, I believe that tarot has a high likelihood of speaking to us no matter what, if just because the archetypal nature of the cards means that they're dealing with problems that we all struggle with. We all have self-doubt, we all have complicated relationships with money, we all crave love of some kind. We all have trauma in our past and we all want to believe that this time, things could be okay.
One of the reasons I like tarot cards is because they are inanimate objects that we imbue with meaning. They were just playing cards, y'know? We're the ones that gave them power over us, and we did that by filling them with our own stories. We placed a mirror in those cards, and while mirrors can be used for scrying, they can also just be used to take a good hard look at ourselves.
If I say "oh, you've had money troubles in the past," who doesn't that apply to? Maybe I'm thinking about me, when we were homeless for a while when I was a kid. Maybe someone else is thinking about the money they lost to gambling last week. Maybe someone else, someone wildly wealthy, is thinking about a stock market crash that brought their five mansions down to two. Maybe a final person has just never had quite enough to make ends meet. God knows that describes a lot of people.
I like tarot because we can all look at the same spread and see something different. I see a story to tell to the best of my ability, and that's how I do readings. But for the people getting those readings, they're often looking into little mirrors and seeing how they reflect their own personal experiences.
Because, you know, we all see different things in the same mirror! That's how tarot works, I think. Maybe some people are a little better at reading things in that mirror and interpreting what they see there, but we all see something new and different and deeply, deeply personal when we look at those cards.
Love that for us.
#that's what I eventually ended up studying in college btw#the way people construct personalized belief systems and vernacular religion#I got into religious studies to make sense of the world after I got out of an abusive religious background#and people always ask me what religion I am now#and I always say... y'know... I don't know what I believe#I don't know if magic exists or ESP or the supernatural or any number of deities#I don't know if I fully believe anything anymore#but I do believe in the power of stories#how we tell them and why we tell them and the parts of us that we mix into them to bolster their power#stories can ease a broken heart or they can be used to launch a war#they can create a belief system or tear one apart#we tell stories to make meaning out of the senselessness around us but we use them to CREATE meaning too#and sometimes the meaning that we create can last for centuries#they can make a little pack of playing cards into something that I was forbidden to touch when I was a child#that I was too scared to even be in the room with until I was in college#and the stories I tell myself instead can reframe those cards as something lovely I can collect#that help me make sense of the world in all kinds of ways#by helping me understand the emotions at the root of our experiences#and the stories we tell to give voice to them#and make them material; a thing we can finally touch#idk I'm rambling a bit but! those are my thoughts on the matter!!#replies#tarot#tarot shenanigans

Fern's (new) introduction to the Gleaming Grove
The Gleaming Grove is the name I use for my personal pantheon. It is a mix of historical, unrecorded, and constructed deities that I have been honouring for a little over a year now. Some of these deities have been in my life for quite a bit longer, some even right from the start.
Through personal interactions with these deities I have gotten to know them beyond what is historically known. This is called UPG, or Unverified Personal Gnosis. So please, keep in mind that these are my personal interpretations of these deities. Also, as I walk this path and learn more about myself and about these deities, the pantheon might change.
Now, allow me to introduce you.
Cernunnos: Horned Hunter – historical and unrecorded Gaulish deity of the forest, of animals and the hunt. He is the leader of the Wild Hunt and the King of the Fae. He is the god of the liminal, the in between. The cycles of nature – death, decay, and life again.
Nehalennia: Wildmother – historical Dutch deity of nature, the sea, harvest. She guides travelers over sea, guiding them with her stars, or with profitable winds. She is the tempest and the storm, but also the cooling breeze on a hot day. She is the deity of agriculture, especially orchards. Her travel over the sea also includes being a psycho-pomp, guiding those who have passed to their afterlife.
Baduhenna: Rootwoman – historical Dutch deity of the forest, magic, and war. They protect the sacred places and fight against any who wishes to take it away. Protects the oppressed and gives them the tools and power to fight against their oppressors, in both weapons and magic.
Elen of the Ways: Wayfarer – historical or constructed deity of roads and pathways, of journeys both physical and spiritual. She guides us with her lit lantern when we are lost. Labyrinths are dedicated to her, especially as a way to travel inward. She protects us when we travel and nudges us in the right direction of where we need to be. An antlered deity carrying a lantern and surrounded by green.
Nemetona: Sanctuary – historical Gaulish deity of sacred spaces. Protector of boundaries. Both the sacred spaces we creating when practicing witchcraft, as the sacred spaces that are our home and our personal boundaries.
Avalon - Lady of Avalon. Goddess of healing, magic, apples, and harvest. Queen of the Fae, keeper and protector of magic.
Hearthlight – unrecorded and constructed deity of home, hearth, and community. Protects the home and hearth, provides and guards warmth and love in the home. Connections and community. Sharing what you have and taking what you need. Perhaps a mantle shared between different deities
Loki: Trickster – historical Norse deity of mischief, change, laughter. God of the outcasts, challenges societal norms and brings necessary change.
Venaris: Lady of Flowers – unrecorded deity of spring, of flowers, love, joy, mirth, and art. Beauty, music, poetry and inspiration. She invites us to dance to the tune of the seasons, to stop and smell the roses, and see the small wonders around us. Is related to Eostre/Ostra and Meda
Liyesa: The Iridescent One – historical and constructed deity of beauty, self love and -acceptance, freedom. She teaches us there is beauty in all of us, and helps us learn to love and accept ourselves as we are. Breaker of Chains, she guides us to break free of the chains society and our own perfectionism throw around us. She grants us second chances should we need them.
Holle: the Veiled Silence – constructed and historical Dutch deity of silence, of winter and of secrets. She is the silence of snowfall. She urges us into contemplation and introspection, and what secrets mean and how to keep them.
Arawn - historical Welsh deity of the Underworld, the wild hunt, loyalty, and honour. King of the Fae and Lord of the Dead. Also called Gwyn.
Ashka: Ashkeeper – unrecorded deity of the dead, graveyards, and memories. Gathers and keeps the memories we have of those who have passed. Keeps the ‘souls’ safe until they are ready to continue to wherever they choose their afterlife to be.
the Morrigan: Crowmother – historical Irish deity of war, magic, and sovereignty. She is connected to Baduhenna both through historical sources and my own interaction with both.
Mona: Moonmother – historical deity of the Moon, magic, the night. Bringer of change and moving through cycles. Mother/sister to Starsister. Void created the stars, Herta (the Earth) and the moon. We gave them life in the form of divinity. Moon came first, and she inspired humans to give her a sister/daughter.
Stēra: Stardancer – unrecorded deity of the stars and the night sky, of navigation and of hope. A light in the dark, a guide to lead us home. She dances across the sky, leaving a trail of stars behind.
Herta/Arda: Greenmother – historical Dutch deity of the Earth, nature, growth, and harvest. Her day was called “Hartjesdag” or “Heart’s Day” and was a day for collecting magical herbs to bless the home.
Gahella: Void/Creation – The emptiness from which anything can be created (chaos in Latin) The depth of space. The Divine Chaosyne. Void is the emptiness that was here before the big bang. The void from which creation springs forth. They are the darkness between the stars that birth the galaxies and starfields. Chaos is needed to keep things from getting stagnant, and is the catalyst for change.
Werda: Wordweaver – unrecorded deity of words, stories, magic. Muse of writing. They spark the inspirational spark and guide the words on paper. They are the keepers of knowledge, both mundane and magical.
Lycke: Lotweaver – unrecorded deity of fate, luck, and the tapestry of life. They weave the threads of life, guide and watch over them. Fate is not set in stone, choices and such will always have an influence on the tapestry.
Klaithe: Craftweaver – unrecorded deity of creativity, artistry, and artisans. The joy of creation for the sake of creation. The inspirational spark that is within all of us. The need to express our true selves in our own ways.
Spirits honoured in my practice: the Good Neighbours, Alven, Merfolk, Dragon, Unicorn. My ancestors of blood and bone, land, heart, spirit, and craft. The spirit of Wolf and Crow.

Translation
Ides, the Judge, the Truth, the Eye, moved from Heɕɔve (the liminal) to Heɕɔq’ in the young night. Faīti, the Moon, the Death, the mother of night, was naught but a faint crescent of silver. She was quiet this night, nearly ready for her rest.
While traveling through Heɕɔq’, Ides saw a woman of divinity — an apatɬi of deep black and blue with flecks of white, gold, blue, and red spattered across her body, and her hair glowing like clouds at night. She reached her skillful hands above, tending to her stars and gently moving those that had fallen out of place.
This apatɬi he knew; Farāhi, the Sky, the Swift, the keeper of secrets. He saw, though, on the apatɬi’s face a somber expression. Ides approached and greeted her warmly.
“Swift Lady Farāhi, the night is lovely, why are you so sorrowful?”
“Watchful Lord Ides, I’m pleased to be in your presence. Oh, the night is pleasant, yes, but the silence is overwhelming. Lady Faīti must part from me to rest, and it’s a necessary thing, but I do confess it’s very lonely. I do miss the company.”
Ides felt sorry for her and decided to keep her company in the quiet night. They talked the night away, and slowly the Sky’s somber expression brightened, but not all the way. This didn’t go unnoticed by the Watchful Truth, so he asked her:
“Swift Lady of the sky, the night is more lively with our talk. Why, then, are you still sad?”
And the Sky responded, “oh, Watchful Lord of Truth, for this I cannot lie to you. To be in your company was wonderful, and I am grateful, but I confess I am still sad because the night grows old and you must leave me. My friend, I will once again be alone when you return to your duties and you—being so busy—cannot visit me each lonely night. Oh, I fear that your company tonight has made me want it more.”
And the Watchful Lord nodded because he knew, and when he spoke again he said to her, “my Lady of the Sky, you need not worry. It’s true I cannot visit you each lonely night, but I can leave a part of me here so when you have your lonely nights you may have something to remind you of me there.”
Then, with a divine blade, the Lord of Sight and Illusion cut his hand and out poured his blood of light. As his blood flowed, he reached up and painted the body of the Sky in silks of vivid green with tinges of pink, red, and blue.
“These silks of light are called the ukudin. You may call upon it and wear it during nights whenever you wish. They are of my blood and thus are of me.”
And Farāhi was grateful, finally saying farewell to her friend. She did as he said and called upon his gift each night she missed him.
Literal Word Order Translation
Ides, the eye, from Heɕɔve to Heshuq in the young night he moved. Faīti, the Night Mother, silver only small she was. This night shy she was and her rest almost ready for.
While in Heɕɔq’ Ides moved, a woman divine [he] saw. Dark black and blue apatɬi she was, and on her body white, gold, blue, and red splatters had, and night clouds her hair was like. Above, her skillful hands moved, her stars tended to, and out of place stars back moved.
This apatɬi he knew - Farāhi, the Swift divine. But on her face sad expression existed he saw.
To her Ides moved and kindly greeted: “Swift divine sky, beautiful night [it] is. Why so sad you appear?”
“Watchful divine Truth; with you good to be. Ah, yes beautiful night [it] is, but Fotuna here is not so overwhelming [it] is. To rest, the moon from me must go, and she needs [to], but regardless, admittedly, very lonely I am. Living things [“company”] I really miss.”
Her he felt sorry for, and in the quiet night with her to remain he decided. Unil the night’s end they talked, and slowly more happy the sky’s face became, but not became completely. This [the] Watchful divine truth saw, so her he asked:
“Swift Sky Woman divine, by means of our talk more exciting night became. So why sad you feel?”
And Farāhi answered, “Ah, watchful Truth Lord divine, to you I can’t lie. With you very nice [it] is, and for it thankful I am, but admittedly, still sad I am by means of old the night becomes and from me you must go. My friend, to me you can’t come each lonely night. Oh, with you to be, it I want more it caused, I fear.”
And by means of he knew caused watchful Lord divine nodded, and when he again spoke, he said, “my Sky Lady divine, not worry [command]. Yes, admittedly each lonely night to you I am unable to come, but to give some from me I am able so when lonely nights you have, here you me are able to have.”
Then, by means of a divine blade, Illusion Lord’s divine hand he cut and out his light blood poured. At the same time the blood flowed, green and a bit of pink, red, and blue silks on the Sky’s body above his hands reached to paint.
“‘Ukudin’ this I call. To yourself this you call and to wear are able in each lonely night. From my blood it is, therefore me it is.”
And grateful the Sky was, and to her friend farewell she said. Him she listened to and to herself ukudin she calls in each lonely night.

Your conlang seems very interesting! Care to infodump a bit, if you want? (I'm genuine) (I'm a language nerd)
It is still in it's infancy so it's a hot mess right now, but I'd love tell y'all about it! It's a mix of all my random amateur language studies and just straight up 'the ghosts told me this word' lol
It's called Akelkiahn, as it is the language of the people of Akelkiah (basically my religions avalon, eden, etc). It's shorthand is AKL. I do have a baby blog @akelkiah where I plan to post in the language and about the culture and shit! I mostly use it as a tag system and when I write spells!
I generated it using vulgarlang.com and have been working at nitpicking the words and shit for a few years. I use IPA reader for pronounciations.I chose Hebrew as the base phonetics because when I have HEARD the language in my dreams and from the spirits it sounded similar, and I figured it was a good start as I would be adding on a LOT of dialects.,the only word I really remember hearing in my dreams was 'kipahnu' which meant 'little rebel', and they also said 'shamat' meant baby. Each of dialect is separated by colour (this diagram is old and messy I made it in like 5 min. names at the bottom are the deities)

I don't have a script yet and idk anything about lingustics terms or anything so I'll give a little demo of some phrases and break it down.I was a DINGUS and did not save the grammar rules.... so if it's wrong.... let me live.
To cut down on using pronouns over and over, you can mark things by using the last few letters added on to the word. For plurals you just repeat the last letter or syllable. to NEGATE a word, you write or say it backwards. Examples:
petz ge ta'shatohkh (you are sunshine, KH added here makes it MY sunshine, using the pronoun for me- BOKH) bokh ho ta'shatohkh (Me only sunshine with possessive KH) petz gish mefu'avkh (you make happyME. the other way to say this would be petz gish bokh mefu'av) av tmimm ge zmuv (when skies are grey. The word for sky is tmim, extra M makes it skies)
An example using you pronouns petz:
You have snake scales covering your eyes is a phrase to mean 'you are getting in the way of yourself' boftz malmosh ture' eden meyy (haveYOU snake scales cover up eyes)
Another example is basically the YOLO of the AKL world 'Everything is Nothing' can be translated as two ways:
Zif la paf (literal, everything is nothing) = Zif la fiz (everything is not everything)
also something funny that they told me was being called a chicken (shagufos) in AKL culture is NOT meaning you are scared or skittish, it means you talk too much about yourself, (me me me translation to bokh bokh bokh, sounding like a chicken).
I think the best translation is still the name for the 7 Sisters, the main deities..... is 'dad boy' which is honestly a great gender to have and very fitting for them.
I'm always down to talk about Aklekiahn stuff I'm just nervous about talking about the aliens in my head. lol! If you like any words or ideas feel free to use them, this is a language that is meant to be adapted!
((((((((someday I hope to do this with Hylian, so keep an eye out for that lolol)))))))
