Wu's Oc Academy - Masterlist
This is a Masterlist dedicated to my art project were I collect all my original characters (OCs) across the multifandom universe, and try drawing them all existing together in a magical academy-esk setting called WOA.
They are all drawn in a chibi artstyle cause that's the style I mostly drawn in and also the essence of the art style is to exaggerate the features that makes a up character, which i feel kinda fit this project.
Currently a work in progress and I will be constantly update this post.
Warning: Cringy names of certain characters and lore dumps all over the place.

The Great Forest Compendium masterpost
I'm thinking of making a small compendium of creatures from the Great Forest. A massive forest so incomprehensibly huge that every single map of the realm with all five kingdoms can only show a small portion of the Great Forest. I've only just started this, and I probably won't be consistent with adding to it, but I'll try. This an idea I'd like to try out and I just wanted to share my initial progress on this idea. For now, I'm only putting the entries for each creature, but at some point I'm hoping I will add a picture of each creature so stay tuned for that at some point. This is going to hopefully be similar to the Minecraft Mobestiary in concept. There will be at least 3 levels to the Great Forest, the Outer Great Forest, the Inner Great Forest, and the Deep Great Forest. They are classified by both the unique flora and fauna that inhabit each region. The Outer Great Forest contains creatures not unlike our own, but slightly different. The Inner Great Forest contains creatures and plants very different from ours, with fleshy, bleeding plants and gored creatures that only appear similar to the familiar creatures of our forests. And the Deep Great Forest, the home of some of the most horrifying creatures in all the realm.
I will continue to add to the Compendium as time goes on, so stay tuned for any updates.
So, here's my progress on my newest entries, the Nerida:
Deep within the Great Forest lie creatures unlike any that we know. They have been a mystery to our realm and to our scholars for many long years. This is my Compendium of all the creatures I have encountered within the Great Forest; I write these entries in the hopes that someday in the future we might understand these incredible creatures that live within our realm.
Professor S. C. Faevyre
The Elapos: A peaceful deer-like animal from the depths of the Inner Great Forest. It's body is mangled and gory, much like other creatures from the Inner and Deep Great Forest. The males have antlers made of bloodied and sometimes broken bone and the females have heads with almost no skin or flesh, leaving most of their skulls entirely exposed. They stand at around 5 feet tall for the males and 4 feet and 7 inches for the females. Both males and females can reach speeds up to 68 mph whilst running within their wooded home, and feed both on the fleshy plants of the Inner and Deep Great Forest and the carcasses of dead animals.
The Kerosavra: a peaceful lizard-like creature from the Outer Great Forest. Their predominant features are having dark bloody scales and a horn similar to rhinoceros' made out of pure white bone. They feed mostly on the fleshy petals of flowers and on the bloodsucking insects of the Outer Great Forest swamps. They can reach up to 7 inches in length but are on average 4, they are mostly only 1-1.5 inches tall and weigh around 1.7 pounds.
The Skiudos: a peaceful squirrel-like creature made almost entirely out of bone. They live on the border between the Inner and Outer Great Forest. They feed on the tumor-like seeds of the Great Forest trees and will sometimes hunt Kerosavra in times of desperation or for fun. They reach around 5-7 inches in height while being 6-8 in length when counting the tail. They weigh anywhere between 1.5-3.25 pounds and make their homes in abandoned nests in the willow-like Klefmous trees left by the carnivorous and prideful owl-like Lakviya that occasionally hunt in the Outer Great Forest area.
After careful observation and analysis, I have come to the conclusion that the Isbalvenos, a humanoid creature that bleeds from the mouth and eyes while silently observing civilians in towns, and the Arpatiko, a grotesque creature made of mangled flesh and bone that dashes through the Great Forest while making demonic wails, are one in the same. I present,
the Viyakomogo: a shape-shifting resident of the Deep Great Forest. While they are in their humanoid forms, they pose no threat to anyone. But when they start hunting, it is best to stay away lest you be torn limb from limb. Their main prey is the Elapos, and because of this, they have developed the ability to reach similar incredible speeds as the Elapos. These creatures only know pain. From what I've observed, I've found that Viyakomogo are in constant pain because of their shape-shifting nature. While they are hunting, in what I've dubbed their "wild form", their bones are constantly breaking and connecting, while blood consistently leaks from their hollowed chest cavities. While in their "disguised form", their excess blood has nowhere to go so it seeps from their facial orifices, creating an unsettling appearance many indigenous people have come to call "The Crying Angel". Many have speculated on the homes of the Arpatiko, but none have seen it as of yet. Thus, from my thorough research into their behaviors and appearance, I have come to the conclusion that the Viyakomogo live in a central nest, one I have yet to find but have come to call "The Angels' Hollow", along with a few smaller sub-nests.
The Nerida: Tricksters. These mischievous faeries like to play pranks on other species, not stopping with just us, but even playing with some of the most dangerous creatures from the depths of the Great Forest; I have even once glimpsed one playing with a Viyakomogo, and in its Arpatiko form at that. These creatures are similar to the Skiudos in that they are also mostly skeletal in appearance. Their wings though, are like that of the angels from up above, but twisted to fit the nature of the Great Forest: torn and covered in bloodied white feathers, the flesh of the wing underneath swollen and mottled with pus. I have even had the luck of glimpsing one with a jagged bone pierced through the flesh of the wing and scraping against its skeletal cheek with every beat of its wings. It is unknown what these creatures eat or even if they need to at all. They measure up to 5 inches in height and mostly 1 in width. They have a wingspan of 4.5 inches.

You could just leave this here, happy and satisfied as is…
…But thats not how things get to end, right?
Tumblr media
Maybe one day they can be happy together. But not like this. Not when Infected can barely remember who he’s with, and not when Lampert is so scared of contracting the parasite himself.
One of these days I’ll do a full summary of how I interpret their dynamic. Both as friends and as a ship. I see them as having a queer-platonic relationship for the most part though.

MXTX couples rated by whether or not they should have a kid:
Wangxian 11/10 should have not only one kid but several. Look how well they did with Sizhui. They're fabulous parents. They'd be thrilled with more babies.
Hualian -3/10 should never be responsible for children again. Oh my god. One of them was FULLY a disguised god and they didn't even realize because they barely remembered to feed him
Bingqiu 1/10 probably wouldn't be too bad at taking care of biological needs but SQQ has Wine Aunt energy and is bad enough with his disciples. Also Binghe would get jealous of his own child.
Moshang 7/10 would do well with kids! Should... probably wait a bit to figure out the logistics and get into a more stable point in their relationship, but they'd be good parents.
FengQing 4/10 would probably not fuck up immediately or super badly but shouldn't keep a child around for more than like. A week. Good babysitters, still shouldn't have their own
Beefleaf -100000000/10 are you kidding me here
3zun and any internal pairings 6/10 I think they'd think a kid could fix them. Not a good reason to have a kid! They'd still do it, though. The kid would probably only be MILDLY traumatized.
Any Jiang Cheng ship 1/10 Jiang Cheng is fabulous as an uncle. 100/10 should have more niblings. Should not have kids of his own because of his many neuroses

Macbeth Donmar Supporter's Zoom Conversation
On the 9th of May 2023 Donmar Warehouse held a Zoom "meeting" for supporters where Michael Longhurst talked about their two newly announced productions - Clyde's and Macbeth. This was a week before tickets went on general sale and before they announced that Cush Jumbo would be playing Lady Macbeth.
At the time it was all, of course, quite exciting since everything they revealed during the talk was brand new info! Most of which wouldn't be known at large until the play was being perfomed (or later). I think only about 80 people participated, most of which I think either worked for the Donmar or were members at much higher levels.
Today it's no longer new information as such, but I thought it might still be interesting to make a post about what was said during this talk :)
Michael first spoke about Clyde's (which I didn't actually listen much too) and then introduced Macbeth as their Christmas show (using the word Christmas "incredibly tenuously") saying the cast was yet to be revealed, but called it a beautiful ensamble piece, and that they were in the process of casting with the cast to be revealed "shortly".
He then went on to say that the casting that was revealed the week before made a bit of a spark - David Tennant coming to the Donmar to play Macbeth :) He mentioned it being directed by Max Webster since Michael was so impressed with how he did Henry V the year before. He said they had a joyful process of going to their favourite actors trying to match slots and titles to the actors that they love - and that they were thrilled that Mr. Tennant was stepping up to the Scottish play - "we felt it was time!"
"He [David] has obviousley given amazing Shakespearean performances - Hamlet, Richard II at the RSC - I, yeah, I think his verse speaking is frankly unparalleled, it's a thing of beauty. He's quicksilver, but he can push himself into the most extraordinary characterisations."
He went on to say that David and Max were deep into discussions about what this production should be. He said there's always Macbeths, but he thought what they would do so spectacularly would be to allow it to be a deeply psychological take on the play (facilitated/inspired by the Donmar's space).
He said they had a very exciting Lady Macbeth who would be announced in a week. He said she was a Donmar alumni who had a great Shakespearean set of works under her belt. He was thrilled to reunite her with David, saying that they had just done a TV series together. "So you can go do some subtle googling, but please don't share it" :P "It's amazing, they are gonna be a fierce combination!"
Someone then asked about whether the show would be streamed to which Michael said they were having conversations about it since there was a LOT of interest and they knew demand for this show with David would be incredibly high. So they would be doing everything they could to get the show streamed, it was their absolute ambition. Not least since it would be amazing to be able to share it with students. So they were in those conversations "as we speak". He later talks about it again - saying that streaming is a way of mass sharing, even if it can't recreate the experience of closeness at the Donmar. That they would try to secure screenings of it since they were aware it would be very popular "It's almost a curse of having such an intimate theatre - that when you program a star like that, it becomes huge".
Choosing to stage Macbeth was down to Michael and Max having a conversation about a short list of Shakespeare plays Max was keen to have a go at and them talking about various leading actors (later he expands on this as Max having had conversations with potential leading actors on which titles they were inspired with/ to perform - sorta like an Actors dating spree, 6 months ago) to decide which one would be the best one for this moment - "David's availibity created this window between two massive screen projects and it felt like the one to grab". Macbeth hadn't been staged at the "Donmar" since 1976 - with the legendary Dench and McKellen version. Michael said he thinks that the Donmar stage is the perfect space for Macbeth since "it allows the director and the lead actor to utterly hold a room of people in a way that'd be thrilling and terrifying, that you can't necessarily do in other spaces". He then said that he didn't think Max was interested in the witches and the supernatural as real entities but rather looking at psychological, trauma related reasons to explore those devices within the play. He also said Max was very passionate about making it very Scottish and that he had already been meeting with Scottish folk musicians to create his ensemble team. Also that he was very interested in Lady M being from outside the Scottish hiearchy - that she's be unafraid to challenge that Scottish status quo.
For Michael it's about "the synergy of an actor who should be playing that character - and that is Mr. David Tennant because he is one of our greatest verse speakers, let alone the greatest Scottish verse speaker".
He said that the production would definitely be a contemporary set. A modern dress Macbeth.
He then said that the reason he wanted to back Max as a director is that he thinks he offers a brand of total theatre that is really exceptional. There was a question about the music used in Henry V, and Michael said he just knew about the Scottish folk music and that music would be a part of the show, and that music is always a big part of Max's shows.
Someone then asked if they consult with scools on what plays they are studying in order to choose what they put on. Michael says they were obviously very aware of Macbeth being part of the curriculum and that being one of the reasons they thought this was "the text. And obviousley with David and his DW background, he brings a huge appeal and accesibility for young people who might find Shakespeare challenging - and you know, being brought into that story by someone they know and love so well is...you know we saw the effect happen on Henry V, 40% of people coming to the Donmar were coming for the first time when we had Henry V on - and it's thrilling to expand that connection, and we know David will do the same".

had the unique experience today of being lucky enough to win a plush kirby prize in an ichiban kuji that is Perfect for holding on my lap while I watch things on my laptop, while the something that I was in the midst of watching today was the seemingly most R-rated show netflix has to offer
this on its own is not much of an issue, except for the fact that due to this plush's design and how i had my hands folded over it it looks like kirby is watching along as well, leading to a particularly fascinating contrast in media consumption- here's a visual aid I put together demonstrating this phenomenon:

by far not the world's tidiest wrong side but honestly this is so much neater than I usually bother to be with colour work. I'm kind of proud of myself.
(it helps that right now I have 3 yarn cakes attached at any given time, not 11 like I had with the baby dragon blanket. it'll probably be up around 5 in the shoulders but that's fine I'll cope)
