I’ve been selfshipping for a long time and I’ve never been in a real relationship, and now that I’m actually flirting with this (real) boy I have to keep reminding myself that he’s real while I’m texting him. Because my brain has categorized romantic attraction as a fictional thing for so long — and my chronic dissociation and DPDR don’t help. I feel bad for him because I want to genuinely connect with this real human being, but on some level now my brain views romance as an imaginary little escape.

I keep going back on how Sha Wujing was represented in LMK... It's true that he did, in fact, kill anyone who passed his river... but not because he wanted to. It's explicitly stated in the book that he did it because he needed to eat. Plus, he felt guilty. Not to mention, his only crime in Heaven was breaking a plate. It doesn't make sense for Sha Wujing to be extremely violent like that... but that's where one particular line in the show comes in. "I am a monster. That's what the world wants me to be, so that's what I'm gonna give 'em!" I absolutely adore this line. I think it is utterly PERFECT for Sha Wujing. It encapsulates his story so unbelievably perfect...that being said- It was a quick line- a line that was covered up by the action scene going on. I feel like not enough people recognize that. So many people who haven't read the story just settled on Sha Wujing being this horribly violent guy who killed anything in his path for fun- but that completely destroys who he is.

it was a late friday evening in the cafe, the air was thick with the scent of coffee and pastries and the quiet murmur of other students studying for their final exams.

amidst them were you and your best friend anton. he had known you ever since you were young, a smile finding home on your face whenever you recalled the day he moved in next door. years later your friendship still thrived, often finding comfort in each other’s company.

“do you think if someone died during the exam id still have to take it?” you asked anton, voice laced with stress. he laughed at your question looking up from his textbook to face you,

“you’d still have to take it either way, yn. you’ll be fine, we’ve been studying for weeks.” reassuring you.

he patted the seat beside him, gesturing you to sit closer, “cmon sit beside me, i’ll help you study.”. once you moved places anton began slowly explaining the subject.

as he leaned closer to explain a particularly tricky topic, you felt your faces brush against each other, feeling your breath get caught in your throat, causing anton to pause.

in that fleeting moment of shared tension, you felt your hand tremble immediately trying to find the words to apologize, he leaned forward kissing you gently. time seemed to stand still as you both froze in surprise.

anton’s face flushed pink, his brain struggling to process what just happened. “ohmygoshimsorry” anton said, pulling away quickly and staring down at the text book.

you felt your heart pound in your chest and reached out tentatively, lifting antons chin to meet your gaze. “anton?” he looked at you with wide eyes, “ive liked you for so long.” he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper.

the room felt warmer and the atmosphere seemed to be filled with years of unspoken feelings, the hesitation melting away.

without thinking your lips pressed against his once more as one of his hands reached up to softly holding your face in his palm, the other laying on the small of your back.

“this is not how i wanted to confess to you.” he groaned one you both pulled away. giggling you rested your head against his shoulder, with your fingers intertwined.

There’s almost always a camera placed on Hobie’s bed stand, next to the shattered pieces of his alarm clock. You laugh, every night he's deep in focus with a screwdriver, and hours later it’s usually in pieces again but you’re a lucky girl whose abundant film storage pairs well with the attractive look of Hobie’s face in deep concentration. It’s hard to believe that you find yourself turning away from the convenience of your phone camera (pictures of you and Hobie take up most of the storage) but the intimacy a polaroid camera provides makes it believable. 

The photos linger, leaving a physical representation of a moment in time. When your cold hands make their way into the pockets of Hobie’s jacket, the tips of your fingers are met with plastic but your eyes are met with a rather intimate moment of you with nothing on. Hobie only laughs when he feels the heat on your face and the soft punches on his arm. 

He leans in close, his voice a deep timbre in your ear, “Just like to keep my favorite memory of my favorite girl for when I’m missin ‘er is all.”

For your first anniversary Hobie gifted you a cassette player and a tape with your name scrawled in Hobie’s scratchy handwriting, next to it is a heart he drew. The sound of Hobie’s deep voice and guitar fill your ears, you feel giddy over the beautiful melodies and lovesick confessions. Between your day to day you find yourself reaching for it, committing every note to memory and oftentimes Hobie hears the tune humming from your lips. He would continue the melody in unison with you, but his lips are usually on yours. 

When you eventually explain the wonder that is Spotify it has him interested, he wears the right earbud while you wear the left. He devours all your playlists and while the music isn’t always his favorite he still listens to it all knowing what you love makes up a part of you. The shared playlist between you two is hours long and the difference in music taste should give you whiplash but you adore it still. Hobie’s never ending efforts to understand and take part in what you love don’t go unnoticed, your top artists are all rockstars currently.

♡ Alastor suspected it, he had been watching your behavior after noticing how strange it was, but that didn’t make the confession any easier.

♡ Alastor’s love language is food–he absolutely loved making things you would enjoy, making things you haven’t tried yet, making you things when he felt like it, etc.

♡ However, he began to notice how you would eat everything he offered, then suddenly you would get very ill to the point of rarely being able to leave the bathroom, and wouldn’t eat anything he gave you.

♡ Safe to say, he was worried.

♡ He went through trial and error trying to figure out what was happening; he would pay extra attention to your plates and food, making sure there wasn’t any poison, anything raw, or anything you were allergic too, he would watch you and make sure you weren’t eating too much food at once and unintentionally making yourself sick, but nothing he tried worked.

♡ Eventually, he just settled on asking you directly. He could tell immediately it wasn’t something you wanted to talk about–you looked nervous and tried to use every excuse in the book, but Alastor wasn’t letting up.

♡ Finally, you just sighed and told him. You cried your heart out when you told him about your insecurities and why exactly you were getting so sick.

♡ For once, Alastor felt his chest squeeze.

♡ There weren’t any reliable therapists in Hell, so he went out and got as much information as he could on Bulimia. He hadn’t been in a situation like this before, so he had to build his knowledge from the ground up.

♡ He sat you down once again, where he explained that he would support and love you unconditionally no matter what and would do his best to help you in this rough time.

♡ He became a safe space for you to go to when you didn’t feel safe with yourself, he helped you build a better self esteem through encouraging words, helped you see through a different perspective, and would eat with you/share meals with you so you wouldn’t feel as guilty.

♡ Eventually, when you’re more stable and comfortable in your skin but still wanting to lose weight, Alastor will encourage you to use more healthy methods, such as exercise.

♡ Of course, you’ll have slip-ups occasionally, but Alastor will be there for you every time.

You were just getting used to being in Carmy’s life - neither of you were used to staying this long. Days blurring into weeks into months as the only thing keeping them steady was the presence of each other.

One day you were meeting the hot chef your friend told you about and the next thing you knew he was just there - he was always there. He swore he never did this, the casual intimacy of you running your fingers through his hair enough to draw out the confession.

He didn’t fully understand why you felt so different from anyone else he’s tried to have a relationship with, everything just seemed easier with you than without.

You weren’t accustomed to it either, getting used to doing everything alone made it feel weird now that you didn’t have to. Sharing a bed with someone was one thing - waking up to them still being there on purpose was another.

His blinks were getting longer, he was resisting the sleep your soothing hands were urging him to. He always tried not to fall asleep before you, never not missing seeing you so relaxed and peaceful.

His words were cut off by the other boy’s lips on his.

Y/N’s left hand was on Izuku’s hip and the other hand on the back of his neck, pulling him closer.

Izuku was stunned, he couldn’t move. His body refused to respond.

‘Shit, does he not want me to kiss him?’ Y/N panicked. Almost about to pull away as Izuku’s arms wrapped around Y/N’s neck.

Eyes closed and bodies close together, kissing in a tight hold of each other.

Izuku broke the kiss, breathing heavily at the other boy, smiling like a dork and in total bliss.

“I thought you didn’t like me. You looked pretty disappointed.”

You shake your head, “You know I love to eat with you.” A frown comes to his face, or maybe it was just his face. It’s hard to tell sometimes. “What will you do when I’m in the military,” his brows furrowed. “That’s what you’re thinking, isn’t it?”

“Should I be worried about you?”

“You don’t have to be.”

“I’m worried about leaving you,” Junho confessed. His hand rests above yours, but he doesn’t make any effort to hold it completely. “Will you be okay?”

You nod, “Of course.” You turn your head to face him, rubbing your pinky against his hand. “Will you be okay?”

“You think I won’t?” He asks, quick and sharp.

“I don’t want you to be lonely.” You reply. You figure he will always be closed off no matter how hard you want to be let in. “I’ll miss you.”

Junho doesn’t speak any further, though you wish he had. You’d never pry. Junho loves you because of that. You never pushed him for answers, always telling him it was okay, giving your advice loosely based on the situation.

You were smart, gave well-thought-out answers, and comforted him in a way he was comfortable with.

“I love you.”

Your world stops when Junho says it. When you look at him, he’s turned the other way, lips drawn into a straight line, and you realize he’s avoiding your reaction.

“Junho.” He hums. “An Jun Ho.” He sighs in annoyance but turns to you regardless. His pupils dilate when he realizes the proximity. You’re half on top of him, an arm on either side of him, and you're staring at him. “You love me?”

He doesn’t respond for a moment; his mouth runs dry, and no words come to his mind because you’re still so close to him. “Yes.” There’s a little glint in your eyes that Junho doesn’t understand. “What?”

You shake your head, laying back down. “Nothing, I’m just happy.” He sighs, eyes trailing over your face, giving you a small smile. “You make me so happy.”
