Imagine an adult Yuu who arrived at Twisted Wonderland PREGNANT.

This could be considered part of the Yuu! Parent variables (?). Perhaps the poor woman was returning from an early ultrasound (at 2 or 3 months old) when the black carriage hit her, scaring her to death upon her appearance in TWST. She must have thought she was about to be sacrificed to a cult.

I can definitely imagine the Squad characters being much more understanding/soft of this Yuu, especially Ace and Deuce. Ace wouldn't be so malicious at the beginning of the game (I'd like to believe that not even he would be capable of laughing in the face of a pregnant woman), and instead feels obvious guilt because Crowley has entrusted her with a mediocre job.

Deuce, my sweet boy, will set off all his alarm bells. He's the most outraged that the headmaster is forcing a pregnant woman to work ALONE, and if his dorm leader hadn't been so strict in the beginning, he definitely wouldn't let Yuu sleep in a dorm that's falling apart. Has Crowley gone crazy? Does he have no shred of decency?!

Grim probably thought at first that Yuu had eaten her baby, haha, and had to receive the wonderful "birds and the bees" lecture (much to Ace's amusement at Grim's horrified reactions). Let's just say Grim now insists on standing sentry in case Yuu decides to do anything too "dangerous for the baby" (humans are fragile even with magic; he has to take care of his minion!).

Jack, bless him, also tries to help make the ramshackle dorm safer alongside Epel, whether by removing the most rotten parts of the structure, helping clean, assisting with Yuu's errands, etc. Especially when she starts showing more of her bump.

GOD, IMAGINE THE DORM LEADERS!

Riddle was probably the only one who didn't realize Yuu was pregnant until the events of the Savanaclaw episode. And when he found out he almost seriously hurt a PREGNANT WOMAN? Trey and Cater practically had to keep him from banging his head against a wall for half an hour out of embarrassment and shame. He also drafted a LONG apology for Yuu, which was delivered with a giant strawberry cake (and one of those exaggerated bows I KNOW Riddle would do).

Thanks to his mom (for once in his life), Riddle is the most knowledgeable about useful pregnancy stuff! Whenever Yuu goes to Heartslabyul, she has access to calcium- and iron-rich meals (prepared by Trey), and teas that boost her immune system and combat morning sickness. Riddle is careful not to give her things like black tea or rosemary tea, knowing they could have negative effects (if it were up to Riddle, Yuu probably wouldn't walk unaided).

Leona is much more respectful to a female Yuu, we know that, but I don't think he has the energy to be rude, or be especially , well, Leona, to a PREGNANT woman. This ends up bringing out a side of Leona no one thought existed: an almost delicate side. Sure, he's still lazy and sarcastic, but he doesn't say no to Yuu when she asks for help with something, whether it's bringing something to her dorm or dealing with a difficult situation. he dosent even COMPLAIN. what did he do to the real Leona??

We all know Crowley doesn't give Yuu and Grim enough money to live comfortably, let alone considering they could soon have a new member on ramshakle. Yuu is now surprised to find extra money in the dorm after certain visits. Not that he'll admit it, but it makes everyone feel more at ease.

Again, I want to believe Azul wouldn't be capable of leaving a pregnant woman homeless, at the very least he offered her a place to stay in Octavinelle. It turns out the twins (especially Floyd) quickly took a liking to Yuu.

A cute scenario I came up with, when Yuu already has a prominent baby bump, is that she tries to joke with the Leechs that the nickname "shrimpy" doesn't suit her anymore, and that maybe they should change it to "whaley."

AND FLOYD IS LIKE, "Why are you saying that, Koebi-chan? :( Is someone calling you that? Come on, tell me :)"

I think the Octavinelle folks genuinely don't know how human pregnancy works, so they're surprisingly gentle and caring with Yuu (even when the baby is born, I can see Monster Lounge having a kids' menu for them).

Kalim, my god, Jamil is going to have to stop him from giving Yuu a completely equipped nursery for both her and the baby. Ironically, the one who's the most normal about pregnancy (the guy has 30 younger siblings, so he KNOWS about these things) and genuinely knows some home tricks that helped his mother when she was pregnant.

offers to organize a baby shower/gender reveal party! The bad thing is that it ends up being a whole festival with all of Scarabia participating. But hey, it's the thought that counts.

There's no way Yuu, who's already 6-7 months along, will wear the school uniform simply for comfort, so if you need help finding comfortable AND cute clothes, Vil will gladly help! Obviously, he's not as strict or harsh with Yuu due to the circumstances, but he still wants the best for her. Who knows, maybe they can pick out some clothes for the baby in advance.

Idia is afraid to get close to Yuu, not only because of social anxiety, but because of the thought that he might "ruin" the baby in some way. He needs a lot of support from Ortho and Yuu to even allow himself to have normal physical contact with Yuu, and just as he does, the baby kicks. Idia's heart is gone (everyone wants to feel the kicks now, especially Ace, Floyd, and Malleus).

They probably use some STYX or Ortho equipment for some of the baby checks, and he even gives an approximate due date, which feels bittersweet. Even if everyone does their best, Yuu still hoped to have his baby at home, but he doesn't complain when the boys do all this for them. It feels like Home.

Malleus is another who doesn't fully understand human pregnancy and is incredibly intrigued. It doesn't help that Lilia's answers to his questions are even more confusing, so he ends up going straight to the source of his intrigue, Yuu. Malleus is completely mesmerized the first time he hears the baby's heartbeat, completely fascinated by what human life is like compared to fairies/dragons.

That said, he proceeds to "scold" the baby when it kicks Yuu for "hurting its mother," not quite understanding the concept, but he has the spirit. Malleus is very scared of the idea of childbirth once he's educated on it (WHERE will the baby come out? HOW!?) and will probably try to improve his healing magic SOLELY because of that.

All I can say is that if the baby is born in Twisted Wonderland, they'll have a wide array of adoptive siblings, father figures, babysitters, and weird and eccentric uncles who will take very good care of them and its mother. So you can rest easy.

Esto podría considerarse parte de las variables de Yuu! Parent(?)Talvez la pobre mujer estaba regresando de un ultrasonido de los primeros meses (2 o 3 meses) cuando el carruaje negro le paso por encima, dándole un susto de muerte cuando apareció en TWST. La pobre mujer debio pensar que estaba a punto de ser sacrificada a un culto.

Definitivamente puedo ver a los personajes del Squad mucho mas suaves con esta Yuu, especialmente Ace y Deuce. Ace no sería tan malicioso al principio del juego (digo, quiero creer que incluso el no seria capaz de reírse en la cara de una mujer embarazada) y más bien siente una obvia lastima de que Crowley le haya metido en un trabajo mediocre.

Deuce, mi dulce niño, le disparan todas las alarmas. Es el más obviamente indignado de que el director haga trabajar a una mujer embarazada SOLA, y definitivamente si su líder de dormitorio no fuera tan estricto al principio, no dejaría que Yuu durmiera en un dormitorio que se cae a pedazos ¿¡que acaso Crowley perdió la cabeza, no tiene el mínimo de decencia?!

Grim probablemente al principio pensó que Yuu se había comido a su bebe lol, y le tuvieron que dar la maravillosa charla de las “aves y las abejas” (para diversión de Ace por las reacciones horrorizadas de Grim). Solo digamos que ahora Grim insiste en actuar como centinela en caso de que Yuu se le ocurra hacer algo demasiado “peligroso para él bebe” (los humanos son frágiles aun si magia ¡tiene que cuidar a su secuaz!).

Jack, bendito sea, también trata de ayudar en hacer el dormitorio destartalado mas seguro junto a Epel, ya sea quitando las partes mas podridas de la estructura, ayudando a limpiar, ayudar con los mandados de Yuu, etc. Especialmente cuando empieza a mostrar mas la panza de embarazada.

DIOS, IMAGINENSE LOS LIDERES DE DORMITORIO.

Riddle probablemente fue el único que no llego a darse cuenta que Yuu estaba embarazada hasta los eventos del capítulo de Savanaclaw ¿y cuando se enteró que casi lastimo gravemente a una MUJER EMBARAZADA? Trey y Cater tuvieron que físicamente detenerlo de que se golpeara la cabeza contra la pared por media hora por la vergüenza, también redacto un documento LARGUISIMO de disculpa a Yuu, que fue entregado con una gran tarta de fresa (y una de esas reverencias exageradas que SE que Riddle haría).

¡Gracias a su madre (por una vez en la vida), Riddle es el que sabe más de cosas útiles para el embarazo! Cada vez que Yuu va Heartslabyul, tienen acceso a comidas nutritivas en calcio y hierro (hechas por Trey), Tés beneficiosos para el sistema inmune y para combatir las náuseas matutinas, aparte de que Riddle es cuidadoso de no dar cosas como Te negro o romero, sabiendo que podrían tener malos efectos (si fuera por Riddle, Yuu probablemente no caminaría sin ayuda).

Leona es bastante más respetuoso con una Yuu mujer, eso lo sabemos, pero no creo que tenga la energía para ser grosero o especialmente, bueno, Leona, con una mujer EMBARAZADA. Esto termina sacando un lado que nadie creía que existía de Leona, un lado casi delicado. Claro, sigue siendo perezoso y sarcástico, pero no le dice que no a Yuu cuando le pide ayuda en algo, ya sea llevar algo a su dormitorio o con una situación difícil.

Todos sabemos que Crowley no da ni de lejos el dinero suficiente para que Yuu y Grim vivan bien, mucho menos pensando que PODRIAN TENER UN NUEVO INTEGRANTE PRONTO, por lo que Yuu ahora se sorprende después de ciertas visitas, aparece algo de dinero extra en el dormitorio. No es como que lo vaya a admitir, pero todos están más tranquilos de esa forma.

De nuevo, quiero creer que Azul no sería capaz de dejar sin hogar a una mujer embarazada, aunque sea le ofrecería una estancia en Octaville, ya que, además, resulta que los gemelos (especialmente Floyd) se encariñaron con Yuu muy rápido.

Un escenario lindo que se me ocurrió, ya cuando Yuu tiene una panza de embarazada prominente, es que ella trata de bromear con los Leech de que el apodo “camarón” ya no le queda bien, y que a lo mejor tendrían que cambiarlo a “ballena”

Y FLOYD ESTA COMO “¿Por qué dices eso Koebi-chan?  ¿alguien te está diciendo asi? Vaaaamos, dímelo ”

Creo que genuinamente los de Octaville no saben muy bien cómo funciona el embarazo terrestre, por lo que son sorprendentemente gentiles y cuidadosos con Yuu (incluso cuando nace el bebe, puedo ver el Monstre Louge teniendo un menú infantil para ellos).

Kalim, dios mio, Jamil tendrá que detenerlo de regalarle a Yuu absolutamente toda una guardería completamente equipada tanto para ella como para el bebe. Irónicamente el que es el mas normal al respecto del embarazo (el man tiene 30 hermanos menores, el SABE de estas cosas) y genuinamente sabe algunos trucos caseros que le sirvieron a su madre cuando ella estaba embarazada.

¡ofrece organizar un baby shower/ fiesta de revelación de genero! Lo malo es que termina siendo todo un festival en el que participa todo Scarabia. Pero hey, la intención es lo que cuenta.

No hay forma en la que estando ya en los 6-7 meses Yuu use el uniforme de la escuela por simple cuestión de comodidad, por lo que si necesitan ayuda en encontrar ropa cómoda Y bonita ¡Vil le ayudara con gusto! Obviamente no es tan estricto ni duro con Yuu debido a las circunstancias, pero sigue queriendo lo mejor para ella. Quien sabe, talvez puedan elegir algo de ropa para él bebe de adelantado.

Idia tiene miedo de acercarse a Yuu, no solo por la ansiedad social, sino por la idea de que podría “arruinar” al bebe de alguna forma. Necesita mucho apoyo de Ortho y Yuu para siquiera permitirse tener contacto físico con Yuu de forma normal, y justo cuando lo hace, el bebe patea. A Iidia se le salió el alma del cuerpo (ahora todos quieren sentir las pataditas, sobretodo Ace, Floyd y Malleus).

Probablemente usan algo de equipo de STYX o Ortho para algunos controles del bebe, incluso el da una fecha aproximada de nacimiento, lo cual da una sensación agridulce. Aun si todos hacen su mejor esfuerzo, Yuu esperaba poder tener a su bebe en casa, pero no se queja cuando los chicos hacen todo esto por ellos.

Malleus es otro que no entiende el embarazo humano completamente y esta increíblemente intrigado, no ayuda que as respuestas de Lilia a sus preguntas son aún más confusas, por lo que termina lleno a la fuente de su intriga, Yuu. Malleus se queda completamente hipnotizado la primera vez que escucha los latidos del bebe, totalmente fascinado por cómo es la vida humana en comparación a las hadas/dragones.

Eso sí, procede a “reprender” al bebe cuando patea a Yuu por “lastimar a su madre”, no entendiendo bien el concepto, pero tiene el espíritu. A Malleus le asusta mucho la idea del parto una vez que se educa al respecto (¿Qué el bebe saldrá DE DONDE? ¡¿COMO!?) y probablemente trate de mejorar en magia curativa UNICAMENTE por eso.

Solo puedo decir que si el bebe nace en Twisted Wonderland, tendrá un vasto abanico de hermanos adoptivos, figuras paternas, niñeros, tíos raros y extravagantes que lo cuidaran muy bien a él y su madre. Así que pueden estar tranquilos.

a/n: oh this was by far my most requested work. people wanted father crewel!! i held off on writing this for a while because i felt like i had such a weak grasp on his character. i did my research for this but sorry if my interpretation is off. nonetheless, I hope you enjoy :>

ace trappola

Very against this. It's just one bad influence after another with you, isn't it? First Grim, now this guy. You attract the absolute worst pups, don’t you? You’re lucky you’re his favorite. That’s not stopping Crewel from being crazy strict with both of you though. Expect to get seated across the classroom from your boyfriend. There are plenty of well-behaved puppies in the litter, why are you settling for one who barely knows how to sit? Ace and Crewel are NOT getting along. It’ll take Ace trying to improve himself (i.e. not getting in as much trouble) for Crewel to start being more accepting of him as your boyfriend. If he sees Ace attempting to be a better student, he's more than happy to start extending some grace. He isn’t that cruel… And then Crewel finds out that Ace cheated on a few tests and he’ll get detention for weeks. In detention Crewel is going to make him write a 12 page essay about his bad behavior; standing over his shoulder the whole time as Ace writes this. He'll crack his whip against the boy’s desk if he slows down while writing… Yeah. So much for not being cruel. These two are going to be bickering CONSTANTLY. With time, they’ll mellow out and their arguments will get more playful. (i’m imagining it like Meemaw and George from Young Sheldon) But don't expect him to stop punishing him. It's what bad pups get after all.

deuce spade

Believes you two are adorable together! You two puppies can bounce off and learn from each other. He’ll push Deuce to follow your example, especially if your grades are better than his. He is an educator above all else and takes his position very seriously. Though, as your self-proclaimed father figure, he will be watching Deuce closely. Yes, the pup is good intentioned. But he also has a tendency to get in trouble and still has a long road ahead of him. Crewel will be getting more strict with Deuce, but it isn't as strict as he is with Ace. He's more willing to let some of Deuce's mistakes slide because he sees that he genuinely wants to be better. But those mistakes are in terms of academics. If he makes mistakes in your relationship? Oh that pup is getting whooped. No questions asked. Crewel will not tolerate him hurting you and he has made that very, very clear to Deuce who accidentally got a closer look at the professor's whip. It's not that he thinks that Deuce will hurt you. He's just making sure. He sees it akin to putting a leash on a puppy as they play to make sure they don't get rowdy with the other dogs. Deuce is simply being kept in check by him. Perhaps under Crewel's watchful eye, he will shape up to be the perfect pup for you! He believes Deuce has the potential. It's just a matter of unlocking it.

cater diamond

He's fond of the boy. Makes sure Cater doesn't get away with using his phone in class. He'd hate for any bad influences to start coming your way, so he'll ensure that Cater is following the rules to the tee. He isn't afraid to take away or even break Cater's phone if the time calls for it. Crewel's actually been wanting to get to know Cater more since he's heard about his Magicam. The professor is acutely aware of the latest trends and what not but firmly believes that vintage looks just hit different. So, with Cater now being your boyfriend, he'll be more likely to come up to Cater and recommend him fashion brands that most young people probably wouldn't know about. He's going to start buying you two matching couple outfits, enjoying seeing both of you represent older luxury brands. In exchange, Cater will usually talk to Crewel about celebrity gossip or whatever's trending. This will all be heavily scrutinized by Crewel, but the professor just can't stop listening to what new gossip Cater has. He's open to hearing about student gossip too. Crewel is always open to learning more about his adorable pups and makes sure they aren't misbehaving. Cater becomes his news outlet of sorts. Honestly, Crewel is probably talking to your boyfriend more than you. You're still his favorite of course, he's as loyal as a German Shepherd. Cater is his just new gossip buddy.

trey clover

A fine choice, albeit boring in his opinion. Crewel enjoys a little flare, obviously. His curiosity will grow as to how your relationship happened and why you'd want to be with Trey. His attention will be on Trey more often. And being the astute teacher he is, he'll start to notice more and more... interesting comments that Trey lets slip. Crewel will definitely find out about that side of Trey which... he doesn't know how to feel about it. On one hand; flare! Yay! Now he understands his favorite little pup's relationship better. On the other... Trey is a rather bizarre man is he not? He thinks to himself; how did he ever think that Trey was a normal student? NRC has none of those, much to the teacher's dismay. He appreciates Trey's efforts to win him over though; leaving him little treats. It's like watching a dog bring back a bone, waiting for validation. He'll give it to the boy with due time. Though, Crewel would rather see him treat you nicely as opposed to Trey giving him gifts. He's obviously a well-trained pup, especially given his position as the vice-housewarden of Heartsbyul. Though, Crewel is hesitant to say any boy is worth your attention, he doesn't mind Trey and his tendency of spoiling you. It's what you deserve. Crewel really doesn't have any reservations about your relationship. He just has his suspicions on Trey as a person. Especially if you tell him about the teeth thing. Please don't tell him about the teeth thing.

riddle rosehearts

He appreciates you going for an obedient pup. Crewel hopes Riddle will push you to be more responsible, officially assigning him as your partner in all the classes you have together. The professor also asks him to be your tutor after seeing how well you work together. Academically speaking, Crewel believes Riddle is a good pup. However, he wants to make sure you're being treated like royalty in your relationship and isn't afraid to make vague threats to scare the boy a little. He'll say things around Riddle like, "Hm. It's been quite a while since you and the Prefect have gone on a date, hasn't it?" While not so subtly cracking his whip. Fear is one of the best motivators and best believe Riddle instantly took you on a date after that incident. They have mutual respect for one another as they're both sticklers for the rules. Riddle is just a bit... intimidated at times by his professor. But it's all smooth sailing. Crewel just reminds Riddle of the consequences of treating you poorly. A lot. The housewarden is unnerved but uses it as an opportunity to better himself, earning some brownie points in Crewels book. He's always had a soft spot for obedient puppies.

jack howl

Crewel's intensity really gets to him sometimes. He knows it's bad but whenever Crewel's around Jack starts to overthink. "Why is he looking at me like that... What if I did something wrong? What punishment will I have to face?" In reality, Crewel likes Jack. He thinks you picked the cutest little pup ever. Partly because Jack is a wolf beastman with dog-like features. But Crewel also recognizes Jack's grit. He's actually quite charitable when it comes to complimenting him. During class, Crewel will correct and check up on Jack quite a lot. The beastman takes this as his Crewel not thinking he's good enough for you. But in reality it's quite the opposite. Crewel just genuinely enjoys teaching things to Jack. He approves of the relationship, believing you've chosen a well-rounded dog. Strong, reliable, a rule-follower— it appears you've finally gained a good companion. However, as time goes by, Jack can't stand the thought of Crewel not thinking he's well suited for you. Soon enough, he goes to the teacher and spills his guts, saying that he knows he's not perfect but he's trying really hard to be the man you need. Crewel laughs, patting him on the head. "Oh, you silly little pup. You already have my approval." Jack is shocked to hear this, but it does make him happy to hear. All the more reason to be devoted to you in Jack's mind.

ruggie bucchi

He's not fond of troublemakers— a well known fact. So, Ruggie tries to be more subtle with his mischief once he finds out that Crewel's protective over you. As much as he'd like to stick it to the man, Ruggie quite enjoys his life and would rather not play with fire. But Crewel catches on. He always does. And oh boy, he finds Ruggie's under the table misbehavior to be anything but tasteful. His whip is going to be put to good use. Ruggie gets mortified and starts skipping class, making the whole situation worse. You're probably going to have to be the middleman for these two and make sure nothing goes overboard. Needless to say, Crewel is not fond of Ruggie. However, the teacher respects his work ethic. That boy is always on the job, looking to get extra cash. There's potential in Ruggie and Crewel is going to find it. Meaning that he's going to bug you for more information about your boyfriend before pulling him aside and having a genuine talk with the pup. After the talk, they seem on good terms, with Crewel even complimenting Ruggie from time to time! Yay! Little do you know that he's constantly threatening your boyfriend with the whip.

leona kingscholar

He hardly sees the appeal of a lazy cat who sleeps his days away. Leona is hardly in class so Crewel can't even punish him. He'll have a stern talking with you, telling you not to settle for anything you don't deserve. Once you explain that, "Oh no, Leona treats me very well." and maybe throwing in a, "He lets me use his credit card." for good measure, Crewel will be more open to the idea of you two dating. He could always sense that Leona had that side to him, but he absolutely despises his laziness. He'll try to get you to convince the beastman to come to class more often. Crewel starts threatening to punish you if your boyfriend continues to skip. After all, your boyfriend is an extension of you. And if you're boyfriends being a bad pup, then you are too. So basically you're begging Leona to start to come to class again because Crewel does not play when it comes to punishments. Crewel is not holding back any punishments once Leona starts attending classes more. It's extremely frustrating for Crewel— seeing untapped potential in Leona. He doesn't tolerate this pups behavior, but he genuinely wants to see him be better and decides to talk to him after class. Leona is surprised when Crewel isn't being too preachy and instead talks about how he wants to make sure you're being treated right. It kinda pisses the beastman off that his professor thinks he'd ever treat you wrong in the first place, but it does give him some newfound motivation. The two eventually grow to have a mutual respect relationship on the basis that they both want you to be happy. Though, Crewel still thinks dogs are better than cats. And frankly, this extends to your boyfriend. Sorry not sorry.

floyd leech

What spell does this leech have you under!? In what world would he EVER let you date this monster of a man!? This love is forbidden! Crewel will go full Romeo and Juliet style when restricting you two because he is NOT letting you date Floyd! Nope! Not if he has a say in it! Going on a date tonight? Too bad, he's assigning both of you extra homework that must be completed ON YOUR OWN. Floyd dislikes him right back, always complaining to you how Crewel's no fun. Floyd is one of the biggest troublemakers on campus, right next to Grim. Arguably worst. Floyd is going to get really upset about Crewel's attitude about it and, to your horror, he confronts the professor about it shamelessly. RIP your boyfriend. That poor guy is NOT making it out alive. If you make the mistake of asking Crewel why he doesn't like Floyd, oh that man will go on a tangent. He will be talking for HOURS. I don't see this relationship improving either. Floyd has no intention of changing ever; very content with how he is. If anything, he's making it worse by talking back and throwing tantrums. And it's probably going to be your job to calm him down because Azul and Jade do not wanna deal with allat. Have fun!

jade leech

Unsettled to say the least. He swears up and down that the pup is plotting something. Unfortunately Sam tells him he's overthinking it. He will be sitting you two away from each other... A part of Crewel genuinely wants to get to know him and how this relationship flourished. A louder part of Crewel wants to get you the hell away from this pup because he's scheming SOMETHING he can sense it. All their interactions are going to be the most tense thing ever. Like, both of them are going to be staring at one another with the most strained smiles in the universe. As Jade passes by Crewel's desk with his up-to-no-good smile, I can picture him saying, "Is something the matter, professor?" And then Crewel hitting him back with an equally as devious grin. "Nothing that concerns you, my pup." And then they'll proceed to have a staring contest until you inevitably drag your boyfriend away. Hey, at least Crewel is outright disapproving or hostile to your boyfriend? But he does give you several warnings to watch Jade closely. Because no one should like mushrooms that much. It's suspicious. Crewel is definitely paranoid and probably has a bunch of conspiracy theories on Jade but he never really disapproves of the relationship. A win is a win?

azul ashengrotto

As mean as this sounds, Crewel can sense his insecurity. He's just learned how to pick up on those kind of things after being a teacher. And Azul reeks of hidden insecurity to the professor. He doesn't go any easier on him— he'd be damned if he let any of his puppies step out of line. But he's much more open to be complimentary, especially since you're dating Azul. He'll encourage Azul to spend more time with him after class for studies in order to give him pep talks. If Azul was good enough to catch your eye, then Crewel assures him that he doesn't need to put on this whole 'business' facade to win anyones favor. Azul is definitely stunned to receive this kind of talk from his teacher, but decides to take his advice to heart because he really does love you. Crewel doesn't tell you any of this. Whenever you talk about your boyfriend he kinda just nods along and goes, "That's nice, honey." But in actuality, he smiles to himself after hearing that Azul's been coming out of his shell more. Or— in his case pot. He's no love expert, but he goes soft when he hears that his students are genuinely improving.

kalim al asim

Okay. Get that money. Crewel respects the grind; going for the richest kid on campus. But he isn't a fan of how reliant Kalim is on Jamil in terms of academics. And now that he knows that Kalim is your partner, he'll be harsher on the boy. Crewel doesn't want you hanging out with non-scholars! You deserve a very intelligent boyfriend who can at least get a B average. So he pushes to see Kalim more after class without his attendant, claiming that he needs to learn how to be independent. Kalim obviously struggles with this a bit due to his upbringing, but is willing to take the challenge! Especially if it's to win the respect of your father-like figure! He's really sweet and does try hard... but it doesn't garner much results much to Crewel's dismay. Nonetheless, Kalim does in fact show the grit that was needed in order for Crewel to approve of your relationship. Though, he does insists that Kalim continues to come after class on his own. Maybe you could tag along and help him. Because somethings that boy just doesn't get, no matter how hard Crewel tries. The professor can't help but smile when he sees how lovesick Kalim is over you. He'll watch from afar as you two puppies hug each other in the halls. If you accidentally make eye contact with him, Crewel will give you a small, approving nod.

jamil viper

Crewel has had his eye on Jamil before the two of you started dating. He could tell that the pup held himself back. For what reason, Crewel couldn't say but once he heard the news about you two, he definitely used it as an excuse to get to know Jamil more. He'll watch how Jamil acts around you, the way he relaxes and becomes more snarky. Crewel finds himself liking this version of Jamil more than the quiet, blend in the crowd guy that he presents himself as to the professor. So, Crewel decides to force him out of it. He'll push him, purposely grading his papers harder so that he'll have to put in more effort. Crewel knows that Jamil is capable of 'A' papers despite only turning in 'C' level work. His solution? He makes it so that, in order to get a 'C', Jamil has to turn in 'A' level work. Call it unfair, but it works. Jamil does get frustrated and rants about it to you. As hard as he tries to bite his tongue, he'll eventually let something slip on accident to Crewel. Now, Crewel hates disrespect. But he knows he purposely pushed the pup to see this side— the true side. He'll tell Jamil that being fake doesn't suit him. So, Jamil drops the act. He isn't stupid, Crewel is basically your father and he isn't trying to get on any of your family's (blood related or not) bad side. And it turns out to be for the better as they actually develop a nice bond with Jamil being more himself. Some puppies just need to be pushed out of their crate.

epel felmier

Crewel is happy to hear you're dating a Pomfiore student! He'd like his son-in-law to be fashionable. Then he hears that it's Epel and he's mildly disappointed. Listen, he genuinely cares for his students so he pays attention. And he's heard Epel slip out his native tongue underneath his breath. He's seen the boy rough play with Ace and Deuce. He knows that this pup is different from the other Pomfiore students. That's why he also gets frustrated when Epel tries to maintain this fake act with Crewel. "Good pups don't play pretend when it isn't asked of them. Drop this act. That's an order." This, naturally, freaks Epel out a bit. The country boy is a bit ashamed to be himself around Crewel since he really wanted to appease him due to your father-like bond with him. But he isn't going to disobey— Epel has seen Crewel's punishments, he's not taking his chances. Although Crewel isn't the biggest fan of Epel's southern charm, he appreciates the pup being his real self around him. Is he good enough to date you? Not in Crewel's book, no. But he'll allow it. Epel knows what the punishments are if he breaks your heart anyways.

What compelled you to want to date this man? Crewel doesn't understand your taste. Rook starts leaving clothing and jewelry from luxury brands that Crewel loves on his desk. The professor has very mixed feelings about this. 1. How did Rook find out what brands he's partial to? Should he be concerned about this? Because he's getting concerned. 2. Crewel doesn't like the idea of being bought over. No matter how much he enjoys the gifts. Because he wants your love to be genuine. Crewel wants to see proof that Rook is treating you right, not another luxurious coat that he'll definitely be wearing later down the line. He takes the fact that Rook thinks he can be bought over as an insult and pulls him aside after class, giving the pup a stern talking to. "Non non! I simply gifted it because it reminded me of you, professor! These have nothing to do with my devotion toward the Prefect." Crewel smells bs and does NOT tolerate that. He'll punish Rook by having him clean the alchemy tools after the freshman class since that class was notorious for leaving behind a mess. Rook knew what he was doing. His hand holds yours tighter and he smiles as you two pass by Crewel, with Rook catching a glimpse of the professor wearing one of the necklaces Rook gifted him. You just sigh because there's no way of controlling this man. His audacity knows no bounds.

vil schoenheit

Oh, Crewel is living for this. Vil might just be the one student he fully approves of, 100%. You dating one of the top alchemy students who is also an actor and model with the best sense of fashion in the entire school? Now that's a good puppy! Crewel almost wants to buy both of you treats with how over the moon he is. Vil, ever so charming, easily woos Crewel over by showing him how caring and compassionate he is towards you while also maintaining good grades and fixing your clothes. The professor smiles wide as he asks you, "How's your boyfriend doing?" And he listens happily as you tell him about the super romantic date that Vil took you on. Vil also seeks Crewel out for opinions on different outfits he plans on wearing to his modeling shoots. Crewel is more than happy to give his two cents. All the alchemy students have Vil to thank for the professor being in such a good, less snappy mood. He's not any less strict on them, but he compliments their work much more as he thrills over the fact that his little puppy is dating the perfect student. There's nothing more pure than puppy love, and he sees it written on Vil's face whenever he's around you.

You're dating the recluse? Now how did that happen? Crewel rarely sees Idia so he hasn't exactly seen how the two of you interact. He urges and bugs you to get your boyfriend to show up to his class. Cause Crewel only has a faint idea of what he's like. And once he does get familiar with Idia... Oh... Oh, puppy, why? Why him? Not exactly the type Crewel would've gone for at all. He'll definitely have to punish Idia a few times. Partly because of his horrendous attendance. Partly because he's heard him say a few sly comments under his breath. But mainly so he'll know the consequences of hurting you. Idia is beyond TERRIFIED of this man. Why does he keep calling him a 'pup'?! WHY DOES HE HAVE A WHIP?! And his fears are justified when Crewel punishes him. Idia will let out a loud sigh as he snuggles against you. "Out of all the staff members to be your fatherly figure... Did it have to be him?" Which is pretty funny because you're pretty sure you've heard Crewel complain, "Out of all the students... you chose him?" Looks like they've got some similarities. Just don't expect Idia to be striking up conversation with Crewel ever. Same goes with Crewel. They just pretend that the other doesn't exist and move on with their days.

Oh, Crewel knows who Sebek is. That pup has a lot to learn. Especially when it comes to controlling his volume. Crewel uses the fact that you're dating him to teach him a lesson. "If you yell a single time in my class again this week, I will have your relationship with the Prefect ended. That is a guarantee." It's not a guarantee since Crewel knows he can't really control you, but he says it to keep Sebek in check. And it works. Nobody knew he could stay that silent for that long. Crewel was pleased with the progress, giving him a pat on the head with a small, "Good pup!" Oh, and Crewel is especially satisfied when Trein comes to complain to him that Sebek's been extremely loud in his class as of late. Crewel shrugs, claiming that he's been nothing but the most obedient dog in his class. "Maybe it's a teaching problem regarding you?" Trein wanted to strangle him when he said that. Crewel found it extremely amusing. The professor honestly thanks you for dating Sebek because this is the most fun he's had in a while. You're just glad that Sebek got Crewel's mark of approval. Because you know he would've been crushed if he didn't.

silver

He isn't a fan of the boy who's always sleeping. Crewel becomes even harsher when he hears the two of you are dating. It's hard for Silver so eventually the student comes to him explaining his condition. The professor is much more understanding after that. He actually tries really hard to help Silver, probably dragging you along as well. He'll have you stay after class for some parent-kid (blood related or not, you are literally his child) bonding while making a potion. Crewel will make dozens of potions, giving each one to you so you can pass it along to your boyfriend. None of them really make his condition go away fully of course, but it definitely helps as he's able to stay awake in class. Silver is extremely thankful for the help from Crewel, making it a point to express his gratitude nearly every time he sees him. With Silver awake more often, Crewel's able to witness the knightly way in which he treats you. Spoiler alert; he loves it. Yes! Live out your fairytale dreams, puppy! Crewel's convinced that Silver was a medieval knight in a previous life. He also offhandedly mentions that Silver should start modeling because that pup is GORGEOUS. (I'm biased because have you seen his eyes!?)

lilia vanrouge

Sure. He's cute.... Wait he's how old? Crewel is NOT approving when he finds out that Lilia is probably older than him. It's funny because Crewel starts to talk to Lilia more like he's a staff member than a student. And Lilia happily goes along with it. It's such a switch when he talks to you and then your boyfriend. "Hello, pup. I'm glad to hear you had a good day. How's your alchemy project coming along?... Oh, Lilia. How's the mortgage." "Quite well, professor. How's the wife? Wait, sorry, I forgot— you don't have one." Yeah, he hates your boyfriend actually. May or may not attempt to set you up with someone else. Only for the person that Crewel sets you up with to be Lilia catfishing as someone else. "Khee hee~ The internet these days is crazy, isn't it?" If you look closely you could probably see steam coming out from Crewel's head. The professor will make it a point to constantly tell you that your boyfriend is the worst. He doesn't even consider him a pup in the litter. He's a rodent who somehow snuck into the box. A rodent that you adopted much to Crewel's dismay.

malleus draconia

Since it was well known that Crewel was your father like figure, Malleus actually made it a point to go to him and declare his love for you. It kinda catches the professor off guard. One minute he's just grading papers. The next some fae pup busts through the door and starts spouting Shakespeare style how much he loves Crewel's unofficial adopted child. Crewel is left speechless by the time Malleus done, barely even registering all that he just spouted. "... You have my approval?" Heavy on the question mark. Crewel might've had no idea what Malleus said, but if he willingly went on a 30 or so minute tangent about how much he loved you— he probably loves you a lot. And Crewel doesn't regret it as he watches the two of you bond like you're in your own little world. He'll start being more open about approaching Malleus, suggesting small tweaks to Diasomnia's dorm uniforms. Your boyfriend agrees with the biggest smile and implants the suggestion right away, loving the fact that he has the favor of your father figure. Crewel likes to watch the two of you from a far and muses how the most unlikely creatures from completely different worlds can still fall deep into puppy love. The universe works in funny ways, doesn't it?

Sebek was critical of Yuu the first few times he knew them and Lord Malleus were hanging out together-- because what if this puny, magicless being was just trying to charm their future king for his power?

But when he noticed all the soft glances, the secret giggles, and the inquiries of how their friend was faring-- all with a slightly forced passiveness, he knew then and there that his prince was in love.

And suddenly he was the biggest shipper and the most obvious wingman.

"Hey you, prefect! Come with me, posthaste!"

"Huh? But I promised to go to Heartslabyul for their unbirthday party."

From his very first breath, there have always been plans in place for Geta. Rarely has he ever had to think for himself. No matter the situation, no matter how great or small, there has always been someone there to answer for him.

The irony is not at all lost on him - that he is the Emperor of Rome, a lofty position only rivalled by the Gods themselves, and yet rarely, if ever, has his opinion truly mattered to anyone.

His life has been chosen for him. Each step meticulously thought out.

Marry. Sire an heir. Perform the role of Emperor, all for the glory of Rome.

Not once, in all of his years, does Geta remember anyone asking what it was that he wanted.

Not once were his desires, his happiness, ever taken into consideration.

That is, until he met you.

Your union was arranged, of course. As was expected, and not to be contested. For no one could possibly entertain the notion of an Emperor falling in love.

And yet, that was exactly what had happened. Not at once, but through time on his part, and patience on yours, Geta found himself growing more and more enamoured with you.

No one had ever shown him the care that you had, that you do.

Even as a boy, he knew that there was something discordant in how his parents cared for each other. It was sterile at best, and hostile at worst. His father had a ferocious temper, made only worse with age.

Geta remembers it well.

They were the very antithesis of love. As though Cupid's arrow had arched too high, and fell short, some ways away. And yet, what they had was all that he knew. It was what his future held for him, in spite of his reluctance, his fear.

But you...

Oh, you were most certainly a surprise.

And to this very day, you remain so.

You take care to ask his opinion on whatever matter may be at hand, and you listen to what he has to say. Not from a sense of propriety as his wife, but because his thoughts actually matter to you.

In the beginning, it was close to pushing him to the brink of madness, this habit of yours. Surely, you must be mocking him. Hoping that he would falter, stumble in what he had to say. Make a fool of himself for your amusement. You had had as little say in your marriage as he. This must be punishment of some kind. Recompense for this life that had been forced upon you.

When Geta had admitted this to you, in a fury made only worse by sleepless nights and potent wine, you had looked at him with such heartache. As though his words had struck your skin like lashes.

He has never spoken to you in such a manner since that night. And he never will again.

Regardless of how well Geta performs his duties, there is always a hand guiding him to work harder, push further. The demand that he marry was satisfied for no more than a day, before the demand for an heir was placed upon him. The pair of you had looked at each other, with such unspoken trepidation, knowing what was to be expected.

A boy.

Nothing else would satisfy an Empire as greedy and relentless.

Offerings were placed at the Temple of Juno, prayers offered to Priapus, and a statue of the dea nutrix - a goddess who takes the form of a nursing mother - brought to the palace. Medici and midwives were chosen with the utmost care, and your diet was carefully constructed to ensure the health of you and your unborn child.

Geta remembers the hours of labour as though they were a dream brought about by fever - pacing the corridor continuously, back and forth, back and forth, as he waited for news. And all the while, he could hear you, in such unbearable pain, locked away from him. There was nothing that he could do; not even he could go against such a long-standing tradition. Emperor or not, he was not permitted inside. He could not be with you. And so he paced on, for hours on end, until the small hours of the morning.

When the door finally opened, he has never known relief like it in the time since.

He had rushed to your side, to find you in a complete state of disarray, and yet still the most beautiful thing he had ever laid eyes on. You had looked up at him with such a warm smile, the one that reached your eyes, before casting your gaze down to the little bundle tucked carefully into your arms. His own followed, and he had felt as though the very earth had been pulled from beneath him.

A girl.

After every offering, every prayer, everything, the Gods had been cruel enough to give him a daughter.

In hindsight, he is able to see what a fool he was. You had held her out to him; this fragile, delicate, little thing, and he is ashamed to admit now that he felt nothing but disdain. Why had the Gods forsaken him?

He held his tongue, allowing you to place her in his arms. Her little hand had stretched out, opening and closing around nothing, until finally she found him. Her tiny fingers wrapped around his, gripping him so tight, as though he were her anchor.

It was only when a teardrop struck her skin that he realised he was crying. In that very moment, all of those feelings of disappointment and anger melted away. He would protect this little girl - his daughter - with his life, Empire and its cruel demands be damned.

There were whispers, of course. Geta knew them well. Poisoned words from forked tongues, of you, of your infidelity, your unfaithfulness. How else could the Emperor have been cursed with a daughter? Geta was merciless in his retaliation, and those tongues soon fell still.

He would not have your name sullied in such a manner. In spite of his fear, he knew that you were devoted to him, and only him.

How you have never wavered; stood only steadfast and loyal by his side.

On days such as today, long and arid, he finds that his mind is prone to wandering as it has. He rouses himself from his meditations, watching as you slowly pace the marble floors of your living quarters. Your child lies in your arms, her head resting against your chest as she continues to defy sleep. You hum softly under your breath, a soothing breath of a sound that would surely defeat a much stronger being.

It has been the undoing of Caracalla on many an occasion, and though he would be reluctant to admit it, Geta himself.

During your pregnancy, there had been talk of finding a suitable nutrix, but you had been quick to dismiss it. You would not have another person take the responsibility of raising your child from you. You had spoke with such ferocity that Geta knew it was a losing argument, and no more was ever said on the matter.

He rests his chin in his hand, a small smile pulling at the corners of his mouth. To think that there was a time when the very scene playing out before him would have made him recoil in disgust.

How he pities the man he used to be.

"Geta," you call softly, pulling him from his thoughts. "Perhaps you might try for a while?"

You cross the room to where he sits. Your child is still fussing, refusing to allow Somnus to cast his spell over her. Without a word, Geta rises, reaching out to take his daughter in his arms. When he looks down at her, it is to find her bright gaze already fixed on him.

"Whatever is the matter, little one?" he asks in a murmur.

Slowly, so as not to startle her, he rocks from one foot to the other; a gentle, back and forth rhythm. Her hands grasp at his robes, as her feet kick lightly at him. She is nearing the age where she is close to her first steps, but not quite. How it frustrates her.

He continues on in this manner, quietly placating her with gentle words, and rocking her slowly in his embrace.

"How she fights," you whisper from where you now sit.

Geta cannot help but smile. "She is truly Caracalla's niece."

It is some time before her eyes finally fall closed, her head pressed against Geta's chest. Her faint little snuffles are the only sounds to be heard, as the pair of you collectively hold your breath, so as not to disturb her. Carefully, Geta sits down next to you. You lean close to press a kiss to his cheek.

"And you were worried that you would not be fit for such a role," you say softly.

Geta frowns. "I said no such thing."

You gently wipe a dot of spit from your daughter's lip. "It does not matter. A wife always knows."

Geta cannot argue with you; at least, not without having to lie to you. So often has he worried that he is too much like his father. He wonders if given the choice, would he have ever become a father in the first place.

"Do not retreat too far, dulcissime," you say, your gaze still fixed on your child. "You are needed here."

There have many times throughout your marriage that Geta has been close to accusing you of witchcraft. For how can a mere mortal always seems to know what he is thinking?

"Shall I take her? Your arms will tire if she is to grace us with a long sleep," you tell him.

Geta shakes his head. "Not yet. Let me stay as I am for a little while longer."

You do not argue with him, merely resting your head against his shoulder, as you bask in the quiet of the late afternoon.

Just for a moment, Geta can pretend that this is his only responsibility. That he is but a man. A husband. A father. All of this, and no more. It is a quiet delusion that brings him a fleeting feeling of peace. For here, with you by his side and his daughter asleep in his arms, he finally has something that he can truly call his own.

During a huge battle in Book 8, Malleus is clutched in 🌸's embrace-- barely conscious, desperately holding on to life.

🐉: "🌸, forgive me... for not being with you longer than I should have... I wish our time together was longer than... a mere twinkle of a star..."

🌸: "Don't say that, don't say that..."

🐉, coughing blood: "I wanted to see you... in a beautiful wedding attire. The most beautiful in all the lands..."

🌸: "That's right, you haven't even fulfilled your promise yet! How could you leave, knowing that I've never once rightfully called you my husband?"

🐉: "If I could turn back time..."

🌸: "If, if you get well I swear-- I swear I'll make you ice cream everyday until you get tired of it."

🐉, clutching their hand and smiling painfully: "What a wonderful proposal..."

🌸: "And then I'll... We'll clean up all the abandoned gargoyles in the world and give them a new home."

🐉, closing his eyes: "Truly, even your heart is of great beauty..."

🌸: "I'll even give you those twelve children you desperately wanted--"

🐉: *Shoots the fuck up from his position*

🌸: ?????

🐉, standing straight, rolling his shoulders and fixing a stiff neck: "Would you look at that. My body has stopped deteriorating."

🌸: "What the fuck? You were dying a moment ago-- the fuck?"

🐉, blinking: "A dragon has a high regeneration rate. Surely you knew that? It seems what you bravely promised me only contributed to my motivated healing."

🌸: "You were still literally dying up to the gargoyle part-- before the twelve kids thing-- oh my god. It's the twelve kids that motivated you?!"

🐉, grinning wide: "That stimulated every inch of my cells, yes."

🐉: "Now, you sit here tight and wait for me. I have a match to finish."

Then he leaned down to their stupefied face, as if to kiss them. But then he stopped just as the corner of his mouth brushed their's; lips nearing their ear, a devilish glint in his eyes too obscured for them to see.

"Don't forget your promise."

How do you think Malleus, Ida and Vil would deal with having a sweet and cute s/o who is convinced Malleus/Ida/Vil is the cute one of the relationship and they’re so puzzled when other people don’t agree with the men being the cute one? They’re convinced other people have bad tastes.

Addition:  Oh yea. About my request for Vil. People would be like, he’s not cute, he’s so graceful and handsome and s/o would be like “True… but you’re wrong about him not being cute”?

Your opinion confused Malleus. The word cute was usually used for small things, fluffy things, or brightly colored things. Babies. Small animals. Decorated pastries. The fact that you associated him with such a word confused him, however, it doesn't bother him. You are free to have your opinion. He is also aware that the word cute can refer to what people find endearing, and if that's what you thought of him, he'd only be happy. If people would ask him though, the cute one would definitely be you.  

What he doesn't really understand is why you feel so confused when people disagree with your opinion. Of course, with how much he is feared, people would not think Malleus to be cute. He was tall, had horns and wore mostly black – a color children of men often associated with scary things. He was also powerful and of royal bloodline. None of those things would quickly be associated with the word ‘cute'.  

He tries to explain it to you in the only explanation that he can think of for your opinion: it's because you're his s/o. You see him in a way nobody else does. He shows you a side he doesn't show to anyone else.  

After that he just lets you be about it. He does not mind being called cute, and he cares very little if other people agree with you or not, though he isn't sure how he would like being called cute by someone other than you, or maybe Lilia.  

Idia heavily disagrees with your opinion. He? Cute? How? He was a lazy, creepy shut-in. The fact that you even fell for him still surprises Idia. So when people tell you you're the cute one in the relationship and not him? He completely agrees. Look at you, you're always so nice, always doting on him despite him being the way he is. You're the cute one, not the flaming creep in the hood.  

His jaw drops when you tell him you don't understand why people don't think he's cute though. Once you tell him, he goes off on a rant, listing all the creepy things about himself, and listing all the cute things about you. That second part goes on for a very long time if you don't stop him, because he has A LOT of positive things to say about you.  

Whenever you bring it up to people Idia tries to either get you away from them, or to get away himself. How embarrassing would it be if those normies thought he was cute? You don't need to convince them, he doesn't want them to call him cute. You're the only one who can do that.  

Whenever you bring it up to him though, he keeps going against you, saying that you're the cute one and not him. It's not a disagreement he will drop. As long as you keep bringing it up, he will keep going against it.  

Secretly he's flattered to know that you think something so positive of him though.  

The first time Vil hears your opinion, he raises an eyebrow. Cute? That's not exactly the aesthetic he was going for. Beautiful. Stunning. Drop dead gorgeous. Now those are words that describe his aesthetic. Cute though? That would much better describe you.  

When people correct you, saying he's handsome and graceful instead of cute, he agrees. Those words suit him much better than ‘cute'. He's happy to hear when you agree with them too. No matter how sure he is of his looks, his heart always skips a beat when you compliment his looks. Your opinion matters most to him out of all people, after all. When you mention he's also cute though, he gets confused. Usually, someone would be described as handsome or cute, not as both.  

Vil tries to compare him and Epel for you, showing the difference between handsome, being him, and cute, being Epel. You agree that Epel looks cute, but also add that Vil just is cute. That is where he gives up. You can call him cute all you want, you're still the cuter than him.  

He starts making it a habit of calling you cute too, teasing you with it. It becomes a little game, trying to prove that the other is cuter. Neither of you are willing to give in though, and at a certain point it becomes more of a joke than an actual competition.  

Vil, ever the diva, will still correct you when you try to tell other people he's cute though, correcting you by calling himself handsome or graceful, or something like that.

Crewel had been in an awfully good mood that day, and had granted the class the opportunity to brew a potion that would let the students see the red string of fate. The possibility of seeing who their soulmate was encouraged many students to do their best. Finally, the potions were finished and after approval of Crewel that they were safe, the students were allowed to drink their own potions.  

Brewing the potion itself was a breeze for Malleus. He waited to drink from his potion only because it was part of the assignment, knowing it was safe and working for sure. Finally, after Crewel praised him as a good boy, he took a sip of the potion.  

Malleus didn’t get his hopes up when he did, knowing that it was rare for someone to meet their soulmate. With how long he had lived already, it was very possible that his soulmate had already passed away.  

What surprised him was not that there was a red string, but how tightly the string was bound around his pinky finger. He was sure that if this string was physical, it would cut off the blood flow to that finger, and possibly even cut the skin. His eyes followed the string, and his eyes widened as he saw the other side of the string attached to your pinky finger, just as tight as around his.  

You had no idea, you were still brewing your potion, and in your focus, you were unaware of his gaze. Imagine the chances that now, of all times, he tried to make this potion, and his soulmate was standing just a few tables away from him. Shock slowly made way for a smile as the meaning of the string sank in. He had found you. His soulmate. The person he was destined to be with.  

Malleus quickly looked away, waiting for you to see it for yourself instead of being able to read it from his face. From the corner of his eyes, he watched you finish up your potion and drink it. Your eyes went down to your pinky finger, over the ground... and landed on him. Only then did Malleus look up to you and smile. The shock on your face made him smile even more, despite him knowing he likely looked the same only minutes earlier. He got up from his chair and walked over to you.  

“My dear Y/N... I knew you were special when I met you, and this only proves it. You were made to be the most special person in the world to me. There is much more I’d like to say to you but... perhaps those would be better suited for a more private occasion. Would you like to have dinner with me tonight? Just you and me?”  

Lilia wasn’t too excited about the assignment. Sure, brewing a potion like this wasn’t too hard, but meeting the one person who was supposed to be your soulmate out of the billions of people on this world? It was a long shot. It was an assignment though, and he had no problem doing it. He only hoped you wouldn’t be too disappointed when you saw your pinky wouldn’t be tied to his. He took the potion but didn’t look down at his pinky, instead looking over at you. Crewel had just approved of your potion as well.

Your eyes looked down to your pinky finger and you were surprised. Looking at your pinky finger, Lilia was surprised too. You were tied to your soulmate so strongly. It was often seen as a blessing, and a sign that you’d meet your soulmate for sure. A hint of hope flared up inside of Lilia. What if? It was so unlikely... but even if the odds were one in billions... the possibility was still there.  

The hope only flared up when your eyes landed on him. Unable to stand the uncertainly any longer, he looked down at his own pinky, seeing his string tied strongly as well. Following the thread, the noticed your pinkies were tied together. His eyes met yours once again, and surprise quickly made way for a big smile. Not a second later Lilia appeared behind you, wrapping his arms around you and resting his head on your shoulder. He held his hand next to yours, watching the two fingers wrapped tightly in the red string. His hand lifted yours to his face where he placed a kiss on your pinky, right over the red string. You could hear the grin in his voice as he spoke.  

“Well well Y/N, look at that! The chance of meeting your soulmate is so small, and yet look at our fingers! I guess we really were meant to be, huh? That’s good though! We’re super lucky! I honestly didn’t think I’d ever find my soulmate. Now that I’ve got you though, you bet I’m going to treasure you. Maybe I should cook for us tonight?”  

It was no surprise to Vil when his potion got full marks. Sure, it was a challenging potion to make, but with everything Vil makes himself in his spare time, following a recipe was like a walk in the park. Vil was about to drink his potion, when he heard the harsh voice of profession Crewel from the table next to his, your table. Your potion had failed. He lowered the cup and looked over, seeing your disappointed face as Crewel walked away.  

“Are you alright?” Vil asked.   “Yes. I just... was looking forward to seeing the string? You’ll have to tell me if ours are connected.”  

Vil heard the disappointment in your voice and his heart felt like it broke just a little. He hated seeing you anything but happy. His sadness was soon replaced with a smile though, as he knew the perfect solution to this little problem. With a small grin, he handed you his cup.

“How about you tell me instead?” he said with a smile. Your eyes widened.   “Vil? Are you sure?”   “Of course. Now drink it.”  

You did. Vil watched as you looked down at your pinky, following a trail only you could see, before your eyes landed on his hand. Vil felt as if there were fireworks going off in his chest, knowing what that meant.  

“They’re connected...” Vil heard the disbelief in your voice, and it made him smile. “They’re tied super tight as well. I’m pretty sure if this was a real string, that’d hurt a lot.”  

That statement only made Vil smile more.  

“My love, that means that we’re more blessed than others. The tighter the string, the more it was meant to be. The more the universe, magic, fate, destiny... whatever you want to call it, it working towards bringing us together.”   “That’s amazing... but Vil, aren’t you sad you don’t see the string?”   “Darling, seeing your face light up as you followed that string back to me means so much more to me than seeing the thing myself. Your smile is much more beautiful, after all.”  

It was an advanced potion, and Crewel had allowed students to work together, though the judging would still be separate. You and Epel jumped at the opportunity, brewing your potions together in the exact same way. It was something both fun and nerve-wrecking. Doing this as a couple added some significance, certainly if it turned out to be you were soulmates. But that was stuff that happened in fairy tales, and this was the real world. There was a big chance that the string would go off into the distance, and not to each other. Despite that though, you both had fun and joked as usual while brewing the potion, leaving those worries for later.  

When Crewel finally judged your potions and gave you two the approval you needed, you drank the potion. Immediately, Epel’s eyes shot down to his hands. He noticed the string, tied tightly around his pinky. He remembered reading something about it in the textbook earlier, but that became a though for later when his glaze followed the red string, to the seat next to him, to your finger.  

He heard you mention his name and looked up, briefly locking eyes with you before looking away again. He had never guessed you two would actually be soulmates. This was his first relationship, and he barely knew what he was doing. To now find out that you two were meant to be? It overwhelmed him. Of course he was happy, but what was he supposed to do now? How was he supposed to react?  

Slowly he looked back to you, making up his mind on what to do now. He gave you a smile, before motioning you to wait for a little. He pulled the textbook in between the two of you, and after some searching, he pointed out the part he had been looking for.  

“Look here. ‘The tighter the string is attached, the more blessed the soulmates are, and the more likely they are to meet each other’. Y/N I... I will do my best to be a good boyfriend. I will try to- no, I will make you happy. So... ehm... what I’m trying to say is that... I really... really like you.”

How do you think Malleus would deal with a crush where he had been in his dragon form and when he’s normal again, crush is like “I actually thought your dragon form was really lovely”. His dragon form was frightening, but there was just something so beautiful about it?

Malleus had not intended for you to see him as a dragon. He wanted to stretch his wings a little, go for a flight to relax, to clear his mind. You had been all that was on his mind for a while now, and though he had no problem with his crush on you, it certainly made paying attention in class more difficult.  

When he landed and noticed you though, he was about ready to disappear. His dragon form was terrifying, and of course you would no longer even want to be near him now that you had seen him like this. Nobody would, after all.  

He quickly changes back to his human form and apologizes to you for showing himself like that, and that he did not mean to scare you.  

“I actually thought your dragon form was really lovely”

“Excuse me?”

Malleus has to ask you to repeat yourself. He heard you very well the first time, but he wishes to hear it again. He needs to hear it again to believe it. You saw him as a dragon and you are not scared? You like it, even?  

Malleus feels like the luckiest person in the world in that moment. Not only does his crush not fear his other form, but they actually like it? He can practically hear the wedding bells ringing already, and he's about ready to confess to you right then and there. He holds himself back though, hoping to confess to you in a bit more of a romantical setting.  

You only need to say the word and he will show you his dragon form again, whenever you want. He'll even allow you to fly on his back. As long as it's within his power, pretty much anything goes now. You've got him wrapped around your finger and he doesn't even mind it.  

He will confess to you not long after, knowing for sure now that you're the one he wants to be with.

Your change in attitude never failed to amuse Malleus. Most people, certainly children of men, would become less happy when it rained, often complaining about not being able to go outside or that the sound of the rain on the windows was annoying. You though, were the complete opposite.

The moment the rain started hitting the window, Malleus would look over at you, seeing your attitude shift, becoming more cheerful. He always thought it was adorable, to the point where he would even start looking forward to rain, so he could see you be happy like this.

When you start dancing in the rain, he gets you a towel and waits by the door, watching you have fun. He always hides another towel out of sight, because no matter how much he convinces himself he won’t join you this time, he knows that he can’t say no to you when you ask him to join you. Certainly not when you’re looking so happy and cute.

All you need to do is reach out your hand to him and he will join you out in the rain, pulling you close to him and guiding you into a dance only he can hear the melody of. He will note the way your hair is sticking to your face and neck, how your skin glistens with the raindrops, how absolutely happy you look. He’ll have a content smile on his face the whole time, enamored with you just being unapologetically you.

He definitely starts looking forward to the rain more because of you.

So how would Leona and Malleus deal with them getting jealous cuz someone is flirting with their s/o despite s/o not being interested and it goes too far, it gets to a point where they go over and hold their s/o close and they don’t get a chance to intimidate the enemy or stake claim properly to their s/o cuz s/o clings to them with their eyes closed and they look adorable and happy?

At first, Malleus doesn’t pay much attention to the person flirting with you. He knows you’re very capable of handling yourself, and he has no doubt of your feelings for him. He does keep an eye on you in case you do need help, but he doesn’t expect you need it.

That is until this person just keeps bothering you, even after you’ve made it very clear you’re not interested. How did this person think it was a good idea to keep pestering you? What were they trying to achieve? Didn’t they know mutual respect was essential when trying to court someone?

The longer Malleus watches the scene, the more annoyed he gets. Not only did you explicitly reject all their advances and they continued, he heard you mention you were taken. And his person was saying they could do better? It was time he showed them that they were crossing a line.

Malleus walks over to you, absolutely ready to put this person in their place. The moment he reaches out to protectively place his arm over your shoulders though, you immediately wrap your arms around him, snuggling up to him, so happy to see him.

One look down and all anger leaves him. You look so happy, so content... so cute. A gentle smile appears on his lips as he returns your embrace, the other person completely forgotten. They did not matter anymore. You were happy, and that was all that mattered.

Malleus will place a kiss on your head before urging you to continue doing whatever you were doing, leaving the other person behind.

Leona is watching the scene unfold with amusement. He doesn’t like the idea of others coming on to you, but he enjoys watching you reject them, over and over until they get it. You’re his. He’s yours. All is good.

That is... until this person don’t take no for an answer. It makes Leona’s blood boil to see them refusing to take your very clear no for an answer. No is no, and if they had a shred of decency, they’d respect that. Leona walks over, ready to show them what he thinks of people who can’t take no for an answer.

Walking up from behind, Leona puts his arms around you and pulls you close, ready to verbally trash this person, until he feels you turn around in his arms, burying your face in his chest and snuggling up to him.

No matter how mad he was before, how can he stay mad at anyone when you look that happy? Why are you so damn cute? His aggressive stance fades, relaxing a little as he pats you on the head, placing his other hand on your back.

“Listen, you piece of trash, when someone tells you no, it’s no. Don’t let me catch you bothering anyone like that again.”

Leona then picks you up and walks away with you. Seeing you all snuggled up to him made him crave for more, but he’s gonna get you two to a more comfortable place first.

Jamil has a pretty set sleep schedule. Though the time he goes to bed may vary depending on when he's done doing things for Kalim, along with finishing up his personal business, he has a set ritual before bedtime. He comes into his room, brushes his teeth and hair, gets changed into comfortable pants and a loose shirt. After that, he relaxed a little longer, for example by reading a book, before going to bed to prevent going to bed restless or frustrated.

If you're there though, that relaxation is talking with you, or cuddling with you. He won't easily initiate it, but he won't refuse you if you start it.

Unless he's really tired, Jamil loves talking with you in the dark, just before going to sleep. It can be about anything, though preferably about good things, so he can go to sleep with the thought of positive things, and you.

Jamil can move around a lot during the night, certainly if he's dreaming. Usually a whisper of his name and maybe a kiss on his cheek or forehead will calm him down though. If you want him to stop moving completely though, just hug him while he sleeps. He'll stop moving at all, instead just snuggling farther into you and staying there.

Jamil snores very quietly, only when he's in deep sleep. Aside from that, he breathes so quietly that you don't hear him at all.

Because he has to take care of Kalim, Jamil has to get up at a certain hour, and he won't stay in to snuggle. He often wakes up before his alarm goes off, and will quietly leave the bed so you can continue to sleep. Because of this though, you'll often wake up alone.

Rook is a hopeless romantic and adores any and all kinds of affection. If you're sleeping in the same bed as him, you'd better believe he's not letting you go for a single second. He will hold you close to him, preferably with you facing him or with him being the big spoon.

I hope you weren't hoping to sleep early because once he starts talking, he just keeps going. Rook continues talking with you, regardless of when he needs to get up the next day. He doesn't mind if you fall asleep while he's talking though, he'll just think it's cute. If you struggle to fall asleep, he'll gladly recite poetry for you, or tell you a story.

Once asleep, Rook is pretty calm. He rarely snores and doesn't move around too much. If you move away from him though, he always seems to crawl back towards you. You'll never know if he does this while he's asleep or if he does it because he wakes up. He refuses to tell you either way.

Rook is a pretty early bird, but one pleading look or word from you is all it takes for him to crawl back under the blankets with you, snuggling for another 5 minutes (and maybe another 5 after that).

If you're waking up with Rook next to you, be prepared for an absolute shower of compliments. About how cute your bedhair looks, about how cute your face is when you're still sleepy, about how nice and warm you are when he hugs you… he'll say anything that comes to mind.

If you ask Rook to wake you up, he's waking you up with a kiss. He'll smile and make a joke about how his 'true loves kiss’ woke you up.

Leona sleeps like a log. He sleeps within seconds of his head hitting the pillow, and he doesn't move at all in his sleep. His breathing is pretty heavy throughout the night, and he only snores when he's in deep sleep. When he does though, it's very loud.

He may pretend he doesn't care about cuddling in bed, but trust me, he does. The feeling of you in his arms always makes him happy, knowing you're safe with him. He also has a soft spot for when he can rest his head on your chest. Sometimes he'll make a little joke about your chest being the best pillow because it's soft, but really, he just loves the warmth and sound of your heartbeat.

Leona sleeps in sweatpants and without a shirt, but he is bundled up in soft and warm blankets. His bed is pretty simple, just his blankets and 2 pillows, one for him and one for you.

Good luck getting him out of bed in the morning. Leona is NOT moving. This man can sleep all day and if you're not careful, he's keeping you in the bed with him. Ruggie is very happy when you sleep together with Leona though, because that way he doesn't have to deal with him first thing in the morning. Despite the struggle though, you're likely the only one who can drag Leona out of bed without facing any insults or glares.

If he happens to wake up before you, he's not getting out of bed. He'll just lie there, looking at you sleeping cutely next to him before pulling you close and going back to sleep. There is not a shred of shame to be found if you wake up before that and catch him staring though. If anything, he'll keep eye contact with a little grin, hoping to annoy you a little with it.

Idia is an absolute cuddlebug. It takes him a good while to get to the point where he's comfortable enough around you, but once he does, he thrives on affection. He's still a little shy about starting it himself, but if you hold out your arms to him, he will immediately scoot over for some cuddles before sleep. Maybe even during sleep.

If Idia wakes up while still holding you and/or with you holding him, he's not leaving the bed. He's staying there until you wake up. Maybe he'll pretend to be asleep so you don't think he's been watching you while you slept because he doesn't want to seem creepy to you.

If you have a strict morning routine, he will pout when you leave the bed first. Like I said before, Idia thrives off affection and getting some morning cuddles in will definitely boost his mood for the day.

He's a pretty calm sleeper, not moving around too much, certainly not when he's cuddled up to you. He does make some sounds while he's sleeping though, mostly some soft, incoherent babbling. He doesn't snore either.

Idia has the comfiest pants and hoodies to wear to bed, and he's more than happy to share them with you if you wanted some. Seeing you sleep in his clothes always makes his hair turn pink, but he loves the way you look in them.

When you can't sleep with him, he'll hug the pillow you usually sleep on because it smells like you and it makes him feel like you're still there.

Idia's bed is the comfiest thing ever. There are soft pillows and fluffy blankets all over, and there's a few stuffed animals hidden here and there as well. He'll be a little embarrassed when you find those, but he's not getting rid of them.

And there you are! So kind and cool and just… you! You can fight yes, but unlike the Leech twins rumors, everyone is in agreement that those two have killed before. Look at them!! 

Do you have any self-preservation skills, Yuu? Are you safe? Blink twice if you need help, Jade says, he'll even do it free of charge. Hell, Azul’s gonna send his own twins over for a wellness check soon.

Is the shrimpy into scary twins? This is just perfect teasing material for Floyd. If you liked scary twins you could have at least asked them out or something. Those two just seem so… boring…

So secretive and polite-acting with all their fully thought out schemes– Where's the flavor?! Jade is in agreement. At least he and Floyd have distinct personalities.

Azul is just very baffled. Good for you Prefect but have you thought this through…? It's just you're the typical perfect crush people write in their diaries about and you're with them? It's oddly intimidating. Is there more to you he doesn't know?

A total powermove to have two scary boyfriends in this damned place. Despite all the rumors though, the two love you with their full hearts and are happy sharing. They both take such good care of you and no one bothers to take the time to get to know them.

They are both so vastly different yet similar. Mischievous and kind. The rumors mean nothing to you when they've been your number one supporters through the school year. Sides, if anyone upsets you they'll take care of it…

Scarabia

Ibadat?? The total birdbrain? Okay, yeah, seems you do have a type for cocky idiots given your friend group. 

The parrot is a very confident, extroverted personality with a bit of a mischievous streak… a real chatterbox and never thinks before he does anything. 

He is a bit of a scatterbrain and tends to get wrapped in so many things at once, yet is a very good schemer…

Jamil doesn't have any strong feelings about it. You're happy. That's all that matters. However he does like that since you’ve been dating him he causes less trouble in his dorm now. He can just go to you and ask him to sort him out.

Kalim finds it sooooo cute however and seems to be more excited for your relationship than either of you. A magic carpet is one thing– but being carried and flown around??? That's so much more romantic!

Students are flabbergasted on how you would want someone so forgettable as him. He barely stands out from most of the other students here… Doesn't seem to have any major achievements either.

What they don't see is the bird that takes out some of his feathers to decorate you with when you mention not having any special clothes. They don't see the praises he gives you. The lectures you receive when you push yourself too hard. The confidence he instills in you. The way he does all he can for you, always at your beck and call.

He never lets you doubt yourself for a second and you never doubt him either.

Raven… ah…

An interesting one at least. They are always a bit of an enigma among most students. Fashionable, beautiful, confident, yet mysterious. One of the best alchemy students in the school.

It should be no surprise that two beautiful and accomplished people get together, so why was it a surprise?

Well not one person can name anything they know about Raven. They hold themselves high, yet shy away from others. They are so prominent yet elusive. You may see them roam the halls yet never know where they go. They are elegant, yet have the most animated expressions. 

Does anyone even know their favorite food? Favorite color? Has anyone even heard them speak?? Why do they have so many oddities on them at any given time?

Vil doesn't care at all about the rumors. As housewarden, he checks over all of his dormmates. The birdfolk preens themselves well. They have good hygiene, good confidence, good grasp of their identity and who they are, and they're hard working!

He's never had to lecture or guide them once. With their attention to detail they always seem to notice what he expects without him having to say it either. So what they keep to themself? Eveyones allowed their privacy.

Rook is almost jealous. You get to understand the most mysterious student on campus? The one that captured their heart? You get to see them behind closed doors and know them on a personal level. Maybe even hear them speak if they do at all? Oh, how he longs to uncover their many mysteries himself… Ah, but what a beautiful love story! The trust, the passion. He is rooting for both of you. 

Epel doesn't trust it one bit. Nope. Nuh uh. Sorry.

No one even knows what they get for lunch. They strut down hallways with all eyes on them yet are quick to flee when spoken to? They are seen all across campus yet no one knows any one place they frequent? And they alway suck up to Vil like ugh!

They're bad news Yuu! No one good has that many secrets! The campus all agrees and it's totally not ‘cause they're salty!

Fools. If only they knew how sweet they were. All those times they saw Raven ‘wandering’ was them making their way to you. All those trinkets were offerings of courtship. The place where they disappear to is your dorm.

They're confident because they know they're talented. They flaunt because they're beautiful. People just want to pick them apart and know everything about them for the sake of their curiosity and not because they care, unlike you who doesn't expect anything out of them. Why wouldn't they open up to you?

The Fair Queen was said to have a raven that accompanied her everywhere she went, staying by her side matter what. They intend to show you how deep the loyalty of a raven goes.

Idia never thought he'd meet anyone more socially awkward than him. Fear leaves his room less than him!

The imp-man always looks like he's on the verge of a panic attack, he shakes every step of the way, everywhere he goes, and he's known to not even get a few words out. He wasn't even on the roster, he's that distant!! He lives up to his name for sure.

Even when you walk down the hall with your boyfailure in hand no one believes for a second you're together. You're just being nice and helping him go out!

So many students refuse to believe you’re with him. They're better! They can easily impress you more than that imp! And Fear tells you they're right… Boo! Bad Fear! You're wonderful!

Seriously if Idia realized he had this much Of a chance he might have considered taking it…

Ortho as a first year has seen him a bit more since he's friends with you and likes him a lot! He and Idy would be friends!! 

Everyone doubts his capabilities and mind. Tearing down his appearance with his horns and messy clothes. 

You don't let anyone talk cruelly about him and give your group of first years THE scariest lecture of their life when they dare comment anything negative about him.

If people did pay attention they'd know that Fear would come out of his room a lot. Whether as a bird that flaps around campus or a stray that frequents the gardens.

It's not his fault he has a severe stutter. You were the only one who bothered to wait for him to finish his sentences, even when the simplest ones took minutes. You never made fun of him or even brought it up.

They don't see that he loves you to the point of invention. How he makes so many things to make your life a bit easier here. How he frets over you and listens to your worries. All the little animals he becomes to cheer you up or look out for you from afar. 

The people who put him down never had a chance with you to begin with.

Diasomnia

Griffon…? Who is that…? Wait, did that statue just move…?

It was only revealed when Malleus of all people met him first. He invited you to a late night stroll to show you some of the wonderful gargoyles his dormitory has.

He was so proud to show you this new gargoyle he only recently discovered here. As he rattled on about this interesting find you paused. “Wait, that's not just a gargoyle… Griffon???”

The gargoyle suddenly moved at the sound of your voice, yawning a bit. “Oh hey Yuu…” he said, reaching over to drape over you. 

“...a talking Gargoyle…?” Your lover? 

The school had a small storm overhead as Malleus pouted. You're telling him there was a gargoyle student here and you didn't tell him? When you know he likes gargoyles? How dare you! He's so betrayed for a bit but his attitude changes when he gets to talk to Griffon.

Not only are they a gargoyle– they're a descendant of the goon race. The very goons that worked under the thorn fairy and protected the castle with their lives! Why he's honored… he even joined his club too! And he says the other gargoyles on campus say good things about him!! He can talk to them?! Oh Yuu, he wishes nothing but the best for your relationship!!!

Lilia is surprised he didn't see them sooner! Just like the goons he knew. Honorably sticking to the shadows. They always watch over others and save their energy to put their all into whatever task they must do when needed– you are very lucky indeed.

Griffon makes Waka-sama happy so he approves fully! Furthermore, goons are very loyal to Briar Valley and he's so happy you're recognizing the glory of fae culture! He can tell you even more about it later!

Silver has a new napping buddy… Griffon’s always so tired, saving his energy for when he needs it most. When he's caught napping in the rain the gargoyle stands over him to shield him from it and get some much appreciated moisture.

Griffon guards the school. Perched high in every hallway, outside every building, every classroom he attends. He steps in when needed and that's how you both met someone who was giving you unnecessary trouble and the statue from above swooped down to intervene.

Students wonder how it even works out. He's asleep almost all the time. He doesn't do anything . Even when he's awake he's always tired. And he always gets in the way of the class fights to break them up! A real stick in the mud.

Though it is true he is always tired, he is willing to defy his own nature to stay awake enough to talk to you. He is happy to leave his perch to be with you as well. It is a goon’s job to protect what they love most dearly. You are exactly that.
