Ok ok, I get it. I see where you’re coming from but let me explain myself a little better.

I’m not homophobic (I know you said you didn’t say that I am but I have to clear that out of the way) and my point of saying they were ‘shoving it down my throat’ I meant as in saying that ‘there is no other way to interpret it’.

I’ve done my research and come to a conclusion of ‘there is no right or wrong way to interpret the patterns or Rumi as a whole. She is a blank slate for anyone to fill in the blanks and see her in a way they relate, so they can feel a connection with the character and the movie. I personally see it as having to hide your true self and being a constant people pleaser and how no one accepts you the way you are with all of your flaws and imperfections. Some other people may see her patterns as scars or bad past experiences or really anything. there is no right or wrong way.

That was my whole point of that post, just trying to say to all those who see it that way that it’s not the only way. To let others see it how they want and not come after them for thinking differently.

And again, I’m really really sorry for all those who relate to Rumi and her patterns in that way. I’m just talking to those I’ve seen on YouTube videos, insta reels, tumblr posts and really everywhere. That’s why I generalized, since that’s all I saw. I’m well aware of how queer ridden tumblr is, I didn’t want to start a whole thread of reblogs, it was just a random opinion in the heat of the moment, if someone doesn’t like it, they can skip it or even block me. But I didn’t mean to come off as how I did, I was just generally speaking off experience.

And I never said anything about polytrix shippers, it was just a dumb joke, I don’t hate them, I even put likes for some funny posts about them. But the whole thing with the tag was just a joke.

I genuinely apologize for ‘being too mean’ or hurting anyone or coming off as hating but I’m really not. I’m just a dumb 15 year old with unrestricted internet access. Sorry to everyone and sorry to you. Hopefully I’ve cleared myself now.
