Organizing my thoughts/feelings towards Naruto ships and my thoughts/feelings on it (also disclaimer I can’t outright hate any ship, I can always get why people ship it so no bashing in this!)

Let’s start with Canon(if one’s not here then I have zero opinion on it):

ShikaTema: They’re widely liked among the fandom. I don’t hate them. They’re cute and had good development. I would never read a fic for them though so. Take that as you will.

NaruHina: Oh boy. Let’s get into this. So, the thing with them is I love that they could give each other the loving family that that never had growing up. I enjoy them as they are in canon. They’re just..not my favorite romance wise, ya know? I wouldn’t read a fic for them.

SasuSaku: Now these guys, I like these guys. I used to not like them so much but they’ve grown on me a lot. Their dynamic is good and does have development despite what others might say. I would read a fic for them.

NejiTen (they’re canon to me): They could’ve been so much more😭 The one ship with the obvious romantic tension(early on). Probably wouldn’t read a fic for them though.

Non-Canon Straight Ships:

ShikaIno: I think they could’ve grown together as people. Him getting over the sexism. Her getting over the obsession with her looks. Though, honestly, I don’t mind their canon interests it would’ve been interesting to see them together. Would read a fic if it fit specific standards.

LeeSaku: I can see why people ship them, but personally don’t like them romantically. Would not read a fic for them.

KibaHina: I like them. Misunderstanding trope would go crazy with these two. Wouldn’t read a fic but i sure as hell could write one.

NaruSaku: My loves. They could’ve been so much more😔 Though, with them, I love their dynamic in anyway shape or form so I don’t mind that they didn’t end up canon as long as they stay friends. Would read a fic for them.

Non-canon queer ships:

ObiKaka: I love them in a way that nobody else loves them. I like the idea of their og team being a love triangle in the actual way. Obito likes Rin, Rin likes Kakashi, Kakashi likes Obito. But of course, Kakashi couldn’t handle emotions bc of course. Would read a fic for them.

KakaIru: I love them in a married couple and their adopted child way. Not too crazy about them though. Would read a fic where they main pairing but would enjoy their romantic side-plot.

SakuHina: I have very complicated feelings towards this ship. So, the thing with them is I know most people only shipped them so that sasunaru’s wives were out of the way. I don’t like that. But if someone likes them for different reasons then ily. Wouldn’t read a fic for them.

SakuIno: FAV WLW SHIP😍 So much potential. Another pairing that could grow together + the comphet thing they got going on. I would read a fic for them.

ShikaNaru: Holy biscuits guys, I love them. Naruto’s first friend. The Hokage and his advisor?! I also love the idea of Chill Guy Shikamaru with the most unchill person in existence. Would read a fic for them.

SasuNaru: Very first queer ship I ever shipped (that’s crazy) back in the day. Of course I love them!! The bond they share is like no other in the show. They’re like, literally soulmates. Sun and Moon. As Sasuke said, his “ONE AND ONLY…friend!” Would read a fic for them.

MadaTobi: Oh my lord. I love them. Was very confused when i first discovered this ship. I definitely understand now. They’re so divorced in the war arc lmao. Would read a fic for them.

Team 7: As in, Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto. This is a no brainer since I love all of these ships individually. It’s very “I’m bisexual and my girl and guy crushes started dating😕” They figure it out eventually. Would read a fic for them.

Boruto ships:

InoHima: They’re cute. Love a ship where the girl is stronger than the guy. The implied future canon ships in Boruto have a lot more development earlier on than the Naruto canon ones do so i’m really enjoying it. Though, I wouldn’t read a fic for them just yet (this may change).

BoruSara: By far my favorite straight ship in all Naruto media. Way up there in all time favs. Love an Uchiha x Uzumaki ship, but honestly, I don’t ship them this crazily because they’re the next best thing behind sasunaru. They have a completely different dynamic that i love. Would read a fic for.

Lmao whatever guys 😂 this was just an excellent episode showcasing their closeness, their intimacy, their silliness, their individuality and their soft spoken nature with each other. It showed the way they consistently consider each other, what the other wants and needs. I don't think I have anything to expand on from what I've already said above. I really loved this episode. Fully plan on the last episode making me cry.

I’m having trouble with my art style again! I mean the current style looks nice. It’s got the roughness and the edge I’m looking for, but it still lacks a certain softness. All the artists I’ve gotten inspiration from paint traditionally, so trying to recreate the same vibe is difficult when all the digital brushes feel too… digital, and fake

...damn, that´s actually quite complicated lmao. Like, Momma´s dead but at the same time she´s not.

I like to think that a part of Momma - the Ellie part - is defo dead, rotten, has ceased to exist because otherwise that demonic entity wouldn´t have been able to take over. A body can´t have two residents, two souls (even if one of them is rotten to the core) and while split personality actually does exist irl that is a whole other topic and has nothing to do with demonic entities taking over (and I, in no way, mean to downplay that disorder or make fun of it).

So, when I say Ellie I´m talking about the very soul, the spirit.

Ellie had to die in order for that demon to take full control over mind and body. But, at the same time, while It doesn´t require vital functions like respiration, digestion, excretion or a beating heart to simply be, the (Ellie) shell It inhabits does. And, as with any housing, you gotta take care of it and do some maintenance so it doesn´t start falling apart over time.

So if that entity plans on getting comfy then It gotta keep the "house" in shape, lest it starts rotting.

So yes, that body IS still alive and kicking in a way because It makes it so in order to be up and about in actual, physical form. It´s like a parasite latching onto and taking over another life form to be able to thrive which is only possible if the parasite doesn´t kill its host.

Now, as for your deliciously detailed questions about Momma´s inner workings as well as her body´s temperature...I think it´s not a matter of if it happens but when. Because that body is still active in some way but, at the same time, not active enough to pass as a real human being. Meaning, the body being "alive" is not a permanent state but rather...it´s remaining on standby until the situation requires for it to "wake up". Or until it´s starting to protest because Momma keeps neglecting it because she doesn´t know how to human, at all.

So, Momma can be warm to the touch and can have a beating heart and circulating blood and she can have bodily functions that still require use...if the entity wills it or the situation requires/triggers it. My latest post is actually a good example of what a trigger might look like because her darling Drama Queen getting manhandled like that surely triggered quite a bit in Momma, made her boiling with rage and if someone were to (be foolish enough to) touch her in that moment they might actually hear a hiss! because Momma is literally boiling. Overcome with a fury you do not wanna witness.

(Btw, I absolutely love your idea of Momma being quite hot to the touch because of the fever she might´ve been suffering ever since that parasite took over. 👌)

Sometimes a situation requires certain bodily functions though and now the aforementioned maintenance comes into play. Like, yknow, making sure the facade hasn´t got any cracks and frequently unclogging any drains that require it and mowing the lawn and-

So, at some point, the body will give out these signals when something ain´t right. Be it dehydration, starvation or near passing out from a lack of oxygen because Momma does tend to forget us meek humans kinda need that stuff to survive - wimps.

However, as I´ve said before, it´s not permanent but more like a refill, like someone refueling their car - enabling them to continue driving over a longer period of time before the next refill is needed. Momma´s filling her tanks, so to speak.

However...given the right motivation...if SOMEONE desired her to...demanding her to get all hot and bothered there´d be no hesitation, Momma´s on it - body heating up in milliseconds - and you actually start to sweat a bit already-

(I also feel it necessary to mention that Momma can heat up any part of that body...separately. The choice is all yours... 😏🔥)

I´d say she´s rather cold to the touch by nature though because that body has died already and runs on standby most of the time now.

So, to summarize:

It - the evil entity - is the main source of power that keeps everything running, the brain if you will. In order to exist in physical form It needs a host though. Enter Ellie shell (I´m sorry girl 💔).

Ellie shell needs constant maintenance to be able to run smoothly though. So It better take good care of Shellie because no body = no hands or tongue or anything to smother her darling Drama Queen with, climb into her and be one now and forever-

(It has to be said though, it does help with the maintenance that Maggot Momma´s got a rather excellent wound healing.)

Oh! One thing I´ve been wanting to mention as well is the fact this demonic entity knows stuff only human!Ellie could´ve known. Like the fact she calls aunty Beth "Bethy Boo" or "groupie (slut)" or just being quite maternal in general, albeit in a very deranged way. All signs that there´s a connection and Ellie is still there somewhere but not really present, it´s more like an echo.

(And now I´ve actually made myself fucking sad - mourning Ellie and thinking about how she deserved so much better. 😭💔)

But yeah, I like to imagine the whole process of being half dead and coming back to life again, systems booting up only if necessary, works similar to someone bridging their car because I asked Google because I´m a nerd and this is what it says:

🏆 - Best friends (past, current or future) Her loser ass had only one person she called her friend, a lord in her father's court (I still haven't thought fully about him, oh well). Aelinor shined to him really quickly, he had similar knack for bullying other kids. He saw her fully and didn't shy away which made Aelinor feel less like shit really lmao. I would say she grew rather obsessed with him, straight up cutting her palm and wanting him to do the same so they could join their blood (he agreed). Of course until he suddenly grew morals as he got older and suddenly she's crazy. 🙄

Aelinor is jealous of her sisters, somehow they always seemed to be better and easier to love compared to her, another obstacle from her parents' attention to put it. However, she really does love them despite her feelings but that love was warped in jealousy and violence, and violence is really only way she knows how to express something.

Aelinor actually can't stand Alicent, not that she has done anything wrong to her but the way she interacts with Aegon reminds her of her own mother and her which leads her to be unable to bond with her. Not that Alicent hadn't tried or been harsh to her, she was there for Aelinor when she first gotten to court and was carrying the twins. Aelinor didn't have a motherly figure in court to guide her through this with her mother in Storm's End and her own refusal to contact her. So Alicent was there, helping in any way she was allowed. It was all muddled to Aelinor, because she does want to be close to Alicent in a way but she keeps herself guarded as not their relationship escalate to the same one she has with Aegon. They do get closer eventually when the war starts.

My opinion on Salyra has not changed but worsted lmao 🤣 . That being said I don’t doubt Salyra loves the MC in her own complicated way, but the path to hell is paved with good intentions 👀, and there is so much that a person can endure and forgive… You have build a really interesting character and the fact that there’re so different responses to Salyra speak well of your writing.

I was expecting the reveal about Erlan and the probable role Salyra had in it, but the implication on why she had the MC hit in the feels. Poor MC when they will discover the secret Salyra is trying to keep. I love how Salyra only followed them to avoid her old friend to spill the beans 😂.

On the other hand i can forgive Ahlf’s role in chapter 5 angst, he was only trying to protect the MC, and my MC would have reacted the same way (like father like daughter much to Salyra’s chagrin 🤣). Maybe it is because i read Ahlf’s side story? Or maybe because his secrecy seems to be propelled by a wish to protect, while Salyra seems to act in fear of the MC’s reaction? 🤔

Now I have a doubt: was Salyra truly the fugitive she believed to be? We already know that Erlan wasn’t a threat to the MC or the vinian family, so it is not hard to believe that he wasn’t so obsessed in finding her outside of Ishari. I mean I don’t doubt Erlan would have danced on her grave if in the war effort she ended up dead, but going to the lengths of finding her for years outside of Ishari… 👀

Salyra is a complicated character and I never wanted her to be this perfect mother who swoops in to save the day, after the MC had to live with Ahlf for so long 😅

Erlan's death is going to come up in Part 3, because I wanted to focus on the main plot points for this chapter and to foreshadow the MC's reason for being born 👀 Salyra did not follow the gang to meet Sangasu - she had already been planning to head there but didn't think the MC would have gone too 😂

Ahlf did try his best to protect the MC and by part 3, you will get to learn more about his role in the whole Salyra/MC relationship 👀 the side story does explain a little about how it started, but there is a lot more that still has to be explained.

She was for a long time on the run, but with age, Erlan grew more reluctantly to continue fighting a battle he seemed unable to win so he lost interest after some time. Whether or not Salyra was really being sought by Erlan is a matter of perspective 😅😬

FIRST: You are such!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHH MOTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You!!!!!!!! are a sneaky little!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!! I am so much at a loss for words. I thought this entire time that it was Jin who was the worst character of this fic but YOONGI?!?!?!?!?! It's not even a surprise given he stole mc to take as collateral, and you have been giving hints that there is more to that situation than meets the eye but OH MY GOD???????????????????? The way you distract the reader is honestly masterful and I feel like more people need to take a page from your book because the twists aren't even twists, like nothing you have done has been perfectly hidden, you hint at and dangle so many things and yet it is still SHOCKING. I feel like everything I have known has been a lie but also not because clearly Yoongi's feelings are extremely mixed up and complicated.

I also want to say that the way you mix in his habits and thoughts that hint toward addiction is so well done as well. Like, the stress he feels is so heavy and palpable and in the last several chapters as he has been distant and too tired to deal with someone being in his private room, I was curious about what the fuck could be the matter with him, and even though it is not spelled out completely, this POV has made so many things make sense. I actually have the urge to go back about halfway and find if there are things maybe that I didn't catch while reading the first time.

SECONDLY: THE FINAL TWO WORDS, OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know that the way it will be revealed to mc is going to be such a moment and I am so worried for her heart because I legitimately gasped and almost dropped my phone on my fucking face. That, or it will be handled with no grace at all because shit feels like it is about to hit the fucking fan and I just can not even imagine what in the fuck is about to happen.

THIRDLY: So many things about Yoongi's past. SO MANY THINGS I WANT TO ASK ABOUT BUT HONESTLY I don't think you have introduced anything in this POV that will be ignored later, so I am going to hold onto my questions for now.

FIRST: yeahhhh, i have been deceiving you quite a bit on purpose. but not entirely. don't let Seokjin off the hook so easily!!! he did some shady things in the process of getting mc out, and there are things (like her phone!!!) that he has not told Yoongi about. i do love to dangle and distract, tho! you are correct! that is my ninja way!!!

mixing in his habits is something i did more and more each time i proofread. originally, this pov was just barely over 6k, and i was struggling with wanting to add more but not wanting to force anything into it, so i ended up really dragging out some of the details and his thoughts, to the point of obsession almost at times, to show how much he was really spiraling. i am glad that it all translated because i didn't want to be too heavy-handed on the addiction stuff, since i know some readers have struggled with that in their lives.

if you do go back and find anything that strikes you as something worth bringing up, i would love to know!

SECONDLY: AHHH!!! i have been so eager to reveal that to the reader, and since not a lot of people read the pov chapters compared to those who read the others, it is kind of a special moment that you will not be sharing with everyone. the reveal that comes in the main fic........................................i already have it written lmao. i wrote it last april while watching the Haegeum video, and it will be the same opening as that which i was going to open Reconciliation with, maybe just beefed up a little. my writing style has probably changed a little since then. it might be impactful and it might be something that we cannot even hang on before action happens. you'll seeeee.
