As someone who volunteered at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, I really don't understand why Glasgow has put itself forward to be the host city for the 2026 games.

We going to get the twee tunnocks teacake costumes out again? Just seems short-sighted amidst record cost of living prices and energy bills.
