"zoro would've killed sanji if he saw what he did during wci" i think you people genuinely failed your 9th grade english class. there is a difference between being righteously angry/furious at someone's actions—someone who you respect and silently consider a friend—without knowing the whole story versus actually killing that person due to a mistake. no one is doubting zoro's strength or loyalty to luffy but the mischaracterization is wild here. not only would zoro not kill sanji in wci (he hesitated even agreeing when sanji ASKED HIM TO in wano & don't even get me started on the entirety that is thriller bark), but luffy wouldn't give the fucking order either because he has never viewed the sacrifice of another's life as an option.

yes zoro would've been pissed !! but did you all seriously not see arlong park or enies lobby. it's been stated a hundred times or more that sanji sacrifices himself because he values others over his own life—and the straw hats Know This. it's a key reason as to why robin is so pleased when sanji asks for her help in wano because he's learning to lean on people just like she did. they've sailed together for years. they've considered each other family for Years. they care about one another and that is the truth for zoro and sanji as well as literally any other straw hat. sanji did what he thought was right in the moment, and though he was wrong, i think considering everything we know about him—everything the crew knows about him, zoro included—they would understand.

sorry this is the ONLY discourse ill allow myself to participate in post finale of agatha all along (or i fear i will lose my mind entirely), but DAMN some people out here rn after the finale being like “i’m sorry you didn’t get the agathario smut you wanted” BITCH!!!! I WASNT ASKING FOR THEM TO FUCK ON SCREEN!!!! i didn’t even need them to get together or even get any semblance of a happy ending!!! i didn’t expect a happy ending in the least tbh!!!!! but you know what i did expect? a final ending. a wrap up. a satisfying and complete finale. a conclusion that actually answers any one of my remaining questions or gave us more context for scenes that we’ve been missing context on the entire time. and i’m sorry but this finale didn’t do that at all. and it’s obviously not bury your gays but jesus christ it wasn’t a good conclusion either. at best it’s honestly a cheap set up for a season two or further content with billy that will prob include bits and pieces of agatha

sorry but alicent hightower isn’t “ruined” this season. you people just never understood her in the first place and think of her as something she’s not lmao.

of course she’s a hypocrite, she has been the whole time. her holier than thou persona is a facade. she wants freedom of choice and, with that, sexual liberation. she gets that now with criston at the price of her own shame and guilt tied to her faith, which is real (criston’s faith, at least in the seven, is NOT, but yknow. for another time). her going for what rhaenyra got and what rhaenyra had the freedom to partake in is not character assassination lmao. It’s what’s been set up this whole time. she’s not this saint that she and her stans claim her to be. she’s variably flawed CLEARLY (which is what makes her a good character) but isn’t going to stray away from the exact thing she claims to hate.

“duty and sacrifice” and “honor and decency will prevail” are shown to the viewer to be hypocritical statements. fucking obviously. why did anyone take that at face value LMAO. All those things are what alicent herself has been forced to align with since she was a child made to marry viserys. she wants rhaenyra to ALSO fit that mould and to feel that misery that she’s felt, just as she wishes she had the freedom rhaenyra has. that doesn’t mean she believes in these ideas. she clearly goes against them; that’s her character. she believes that she believes them, but her desire to leave the mould outweighs that time and time again.

to say that she’s an outlandishly different character in s2 after seeing one singular episode is insane. she’s the same. she and criston is not a left field decision, nor is it a particularly bad one, even if it did feel abrupt (which is more a pacing issue). alicent and criston’s joint hypocrisy has been pointed out the entire time. to further highlight it is not bad writing or character ruination. you just didn’t understand them in the first place. Alicent isn’t a blushing nun. she’s a woman whose old decrepit husband is finally dead and now has the freedom she didn’t get at 17.

i'm having feelings about the way mental health has been discussed in this album and tbh none of them are good... as someone who was drawn to taylor's lyricism when i first started listening to her i'm only enjoying this album because i like the music production lol i'm straight up ignoring so many lyrics. not that there aren't any good ones it's just that so many of them are making me feel icky. idk i know it's meant to be raw or whatever but so many lyrics sound so unkind when it comes to dealing with mental health issues specifically. what do you think about it, especially since you're majoring in psychology?

This is such an interesting point, because I've been having several thoughts about the way mental health is being discussed in the fandom rn. Right from swifties giggling at the that one interview where she says "I don't need therapy. I'm sane." (as if therapy is only for someone "insane", whatever that is) and joking about the psych ward, taking the asylum and functional alcoholic lyrics in light and lowkey making fun of someone's addiction is just....disgusting? I think taylor tried to be earnest in her portrayal of her struggles but it's getting lost in translation for me, because some of the lyrics seemed to not only imply that her partner's struggles with depression or addiction were a reason for the relationship to fall apart (which is fine, that happens and is an extremely difficult process for both partners) but also point out how it's their fault for not being able to get over those struggles? I keep reiterating that I still haven't played the album in its entirety so it's possible I'm missing a few facts, but there is a very fine line between expressing your mental health issues through art in a way that is cathartic and important to the artist + inspiring to their audience and cherry picking imagery that you find the most "aesthetic" for your art with little concern over how those who actually experience these issues may perceive it + its actual public reception

i feel like a lot of comments on iwtv reaction videos are taking the fun out of it. a lot of the reactors are people that are ONLY familiar with the show. when people specifically write comments under their videos about how an event never happened or a character is lying about something or whatever….it really sucks

let these people enjoy the show and find out for themselves whats real and what isnt. let them form their own conclusions. stop jumping in to immediately defend/attack characters if the reactor mentioned smth 100% in line with the AMC storyline so far just because it might be revealed later as a book arc twist.

its like a spoiler and it influences people to watch with preconceptions of characters theyre meeting for the first time ever. let new fans be new fans!!!!
