I've seen in one of your post saying that Checo and Nico Hulkenburg kinda fall off?? I've known that they race in Gp2 at the same time and look quite closed. But they don't look close (from what I see) anymore. Genuinely asking, what happened between those two??
Side note: Love your blogs btw. It's so informative and positive 💕💕.
Oh yes, if we are talking history, I think Checo and Nico are similar to Brocedes. Nico and Checo were competing together in GP2, sharing a few podiums and being cute together:
Tumblr media
Look at them! They were just babies. Loving how Nico always had his arm around Checo.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They became sort of friends, Checo has always said he admires Nico and he is his biggest competition. He has told his Dad, his brother, and in interviews. With his Dad, he said that if Nico ever made it to a big team, that would be the hardest fight. And to his brother, who asked him who was the strongest driver he had competed, Checo said 'Hulkenberg without a doubt'.
Nico entered F1 a year before Checo, so they kind of drifted apart... until they become teammates in Force India. But as close as they were, also they were extremely competitive. Otmar (head of the team) said that they were always trying to outdo each other, Hulkenberg managed the first year they were teammates, and Checo did it the second year, right when Nico decided to leave the team.
Those two years we witnessed them being competitive even in the team dynamics. There was an origami challenge and Checo was super pissed because Nico actually knew how to do that, it was wild. I think that created a little strain between them, but it wasn't as noticeable because we were in the middle of the divorcing of Brocedes, and that took the cake.
By the final year of Nico in the team, they were a little off, and not as close as before, standing in different places in the drivers' parade. Never stopped talking or made passive-agressive digs at each other like Brocedes (or crashed into each other), but the distance was there.
They seemed to reconnect when Nico moved to another team... but then 2020 came.
Apparently Max and Marko wanted Hulkenberg for the seat in RBR, and Horner wanted Checo. In the end, Checo got it, and Hulkenberg was out of a seat; these are just rumours, but apparently that didn't sit well with Nico and strained their relationship again. I read interviews with Nico saying that he was in talks with RBR, but Checo won in Sakhir and that sealed the deal.
Also, and that's beside the point but it adds to people perceiving some sort of feud between Checo and Nico, Nico was a little agressive with Checo, kicking him (playfully, never in a bad way), pouring things on him (those were more questionable) and making unfortunate comments about Checo. Nico is just like that, like when he approached KMag and said a sarcastic comment, and my shipper side saw this as pulling imaginary pigtails, but that's just my delusions.
Now Nico and Checo seem to be keeping a respectful distance, but not as close as they were before; they chat and act friendly, but not as teasing and sarcastic as they once interacted (they both were little shits and kept making weird jokes).
That's why I want Checo to go to Audi, so they reconnect once more and revive Hulkenrez!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Look at them! Power couple!!! 💖💖💖
Sorry for the long rant @lunarprophetuwu , as you can see, Hulkenrez is one of my weak spots. I hope I could actually clarify things and not make it more confusing.
And thank you for your lovely comments!! Happy of meeting amazing people like you who enjoy fandom without being mean! Hugs for you! 🤗🤗
I leave you with the power couple, even in different teams:
Tumblr media
Checo likes' them tall your honor.

This is not about swearing, this is about sanitised sport
One of the biggest stories coming out of Singapore this year was that, on the Thursday, FIA President Ben Sulayem made comments about the drivers swearing and said "we are not rappers", which Lewis Hamilton then rightfully pointed out that in that language there was an element of racism.
Whilst it was widely understood to be about language used on team radios during races, the immediate follow-up to these comments was a reprimand for Max Verstappen following a comment in a Thursday press conference where he referred to his car as "fucked".
To me, this felt like a kneejerk reaction and making an example of Verstappen to cement that they weren't joking about the earlier comments of swearing. The reprimand itself isn't a new one: Verstappen has had to do "community service" before, for the fight with Ocon, but a lot of fans simply don't remember it. It was definitely more deserved in that scenario, given F1 doesn't want to let its athletes fight each other after collisions on track.
Everything that followed was the interesting part.
Verstappen, upon qualifying in P2, proceeded to boycott the press conference. He only gave one or two word answers the whole time, and in a show of solidarity with the actual press, he answered their questions outside of the press room and the TV pen, in the middle of the paddock.
A lot of the commentary I've seen on this is just it's funny. Which it is, but its also a legitimate form of protest against an unreasonable reprimand, whilst not harming the other people who work within the sport itself as a consequence. It shows a level of awareness from Verstappen/RBR that the reporters and journalists rely on his comments for their articles, and that their fight is not with them, but with the FIA. It's targeted, and in my opinion, pretty brilliant.
But this isn't about Verstappen.
Collectively, we forget that professional athletes are working class, regardless of the tax bracket that they occupy. Even though Verstappen is rich enough and has enough security in his position in the sport to quit without looking back, a lot of other drivers aren't as lucky. In recent history, we only have to look to Sargeant, replaced mid-season, and now to Ricciardo. The drivers' union, the GPDA (Grand Prix Drivers' Association), is so, so important not only for safety, but for athletes' quality of life within the sport.
The FIA sets the boundaries. To the sport in general, the drivers are what sells, what makes running it commercially viable. They generate the vast majority of the sport's income, whether through the actual act of their driving or through interacting with fans and the media. As far as Liberty Media and the FIA are concerned, the drivers are the profitable commodity that keeps the sport running, except they're not a product. They're people. The FIA, particularly in recent years, has sought greater and greater control over its athletes, what they say and what they do, the interactions they have, and because of social media, often what they do in their private lives.
This is particularly prevalent in regards to political statements, which are now banned altogether during a race weekend, but only for drivers themselves, since McLaren, with no consequence, was allowed to invite an active political candidate into their garage during the 2024 Miami GP.
The bans on political statements came after a few instances in 2020/21 where drivers took the knee and and wore shirts with messages in support of equality. This was, to my knowledge, lead and organised by Lewis Hamilton.
A lot of people want sport and politics seperated. This is not possible. Sport is and always will be political by its existence. Athletes in general, not just in F1 or motorsport, have very little stablity in their positions, their contracts and in their sport. It is not a career that they can keep all their lives. In particular, in motorsport, the drivers rely on their teams for the ability to perform and do their jobs. They often don't keep their own trophies, and have to have replicas made when they win races.
Their identities, and their words in press conferences, have become a commodity to the sport. It drives income. But in this instance, the drivers in general have the ability to push back against the clamp down on expression by boycotting and not giving the FIA the control over what they say, whilst withholding income and revenue from them, too.
Whilst the GPDA is mainly focussed on safety, as the FIA tries to clamp down on and control the drivers, Verstappen's boycott is a brilliant act of protest, and I hope the other athletes follow suit, as this is about preserving the ability to maintain an individual identity within their sport and what is effectively their workplace.
Because for now its swearing, but it demonstrates a dangerous precedence about how much the FIA is allowed to reprimand or fine drivers for simply saying things they don't like, including criticism of the governing body, which is vital to give these athletes agency.

hi there!
i saw another post where you were discussing the ferrari rumors and you mentioned that you were personally worried about the mekies one.
according to this, it seems like those were old rumors and mekies is still on board. wish i could find the articles referenced in these tweets but alas.
also, reddit posted an article where fred was responding to the various rumors about charles' meeting with the chairman. commenters pointed out that it was an interesting move for fred to go to a french journalist instead of an italian journalist. the article referenced is in french and behind a paywall but i'll link it here in case you want to try to access it (i unfortunately couldn't).
of course, the most interesting part about the tweets and reddit post was the reference to a potential internal leak at ferrari. now i'm not trying to point any fingers but considering who these rumors seem to never mention as well as a similar thing occurring a few years ago at a certain rbr junior team, i could only hazard a guess at the identity of this leak...
hopefully i don't accidentally start shit (as i am merely an impartial observer [for the most part]) but i'm a sucker for the inner workings of team dynamics and how individual goals influence that and i thought this was really interesting...
Hello, hello 😊👋🏻
Yes, I saw the quote about Mekies! Tami being a star and coming through as always to help us make sense of this convoluted media mess 😭
You make a very good point about Fred choosing to address the rumours via French media. A lot of the rhetoric coming out of the Italian press has been pro-Binotto so it makes sense. Plus, with him giving answers in French it's probably less likely for things to be misinterpreted or get lost in translation. And about the leaker, I mean... 👀 You're not wrong 🤔💭 Even down to the rumours surrounding Charles and him possibly leaving for Mercedes (sounds vaguely familiar - Max signed an extension until 2020 later that year). I mean, to a degree that's always been a vague possibility and it cyclically gets tossed around but I guess they've intensified over the past few weeks, even though he still has two full seasons left in his current contract, and could easily start negotiating towards the end of this year or early into next year.
As for the identity of the leaker, well... In the spirit of speculation technically nothing is off the table. It could be a disgruntled anonymous employee. But also... 👀
🫱🏻‍🫲🏻 Inner workings of team dynamics are fascinating. There's so many more names and faces involved than just the staff we're familiar with from the pit wall or garage. There's also the inherent power dynamic push and pull stemming from the fact that Ferrari historically seems to have issues separating the brand/company entity from the racing team. I may be way off here, but I think idk the Mercedes F1 racing team is afforded more breathing room and decision-making powers as a separate self-governing entity (yes, I'm sure Toto having a significant share doesn't hurt.) Of course the Mercedes-Benz/Daimler group is still involved and kind of overseeing the whole project; they're still a company, at the end of the day, with shareholders and sponsors they have to please. But Ferrari's always been this box of mysteries where everyone seems to have a common goal on paper (winning championships) but vastly different approaches to achieving said goal, which translates to something of an internal power struggle between factions, essentially. Even Seb said that trying to navigate the complicated internal politics was exhausting and probably one of the worst parts of his experience of being a Ferrari driver.

OK SO. since u asked. @loveinstreams. this f1 au follows the 2023 grid. i do Not care enough to find exactly 20 drivers (+ reserve) among the kt cast so ill tend to focus of the “big teams (including Williams)” (im so sorry ar/haas/AT)
Everything under “Read More” because this is REALLY. REALLY long.
The grid goes like this :
Red Bull Racing—Team Principal : Loth d’Orkney (GR)
1 Lancelot Du Lac (GB) 18 Galeschin Declarence (GR)
AMG Mercedes—Team Principal : Leodagan de Cameliard (FR/IT)
35 Arthur Pendragon (FR) 16 Yvain de Cameliard (FR/IT)
Scuderia Ferrari—Team Principal : Emilian Laquitain (FR)
10 Bohort Deganis (MON) 15 Caius Camillus (IT)
McLaren Racing—Team Principal : Bohort Deganis Sr (MON)
99 Gauvain d’Orkney (GR) 55 Rohan Kashtrya (MON)
Aston Martin—Team Principal : Calogrenant Cynon (FR)
3 Venec Nasri (ALG) 78 Alzagar Alessi (IT)
Williams Racing—Team principal : Dagonet Caerleon (AL)
12 Perceval Gallos (FR) 5 Ferghus Finn (IRL)
Arthur Pendragon used to race for SF 15 years ago, however his teammate Manius Macrinus’ off-track death pushed him to disappear from the F1 world for a while—his 2005 WDC ranking was P1 before he retired, after the Monza GP.
He came back to the grid in 2020 at AMG Mercedes after the Team Principal Leodagan de Cameliard asked him to (although it took a lot of convincing) and won the 2020 and 2021 season.
From 2020 to 2022 his teammate used to be Lancelot Du Lac. However, during a battle at the 2022 Silverstone GP which led to a double DNF and multiple other incidents between the drivers, Du Lac resigned from the team, accepting an offer as first driver in RBR for the 2023 season. He finished the 2022 season at P2 in the WDC.
Shortly into the 2023 season, he revealed that he was the younger half-brother of three times World Champion Hector O’Maris, despite having never met him.
Rookie talent Yvain de Cameliard stepped up from 1st driver at Alpha Tauri to second driver at AMG Mercedes : this decision was not well received by the media and fans, since they believed it was nepotism and that he would not be able to be a good enough teammate to 2x World Champion Pendragon. He entered the F1 world in 2021 after finishing P2 in F2 with Art Grand Prix.
His nickname is Chevalier au Lion, because of his running joke that F1 engines sound like roaring. Fans also commented on how his hair at AMG Mercedes was alike a lion’s mane, and his driving style “wild and straight to the point.”
Gauvain d’Orkney made his F1 début in 2023 after winning the 2021 and 2022 F2 seasons with Prema Racing. It is a well-known fact that despite bearing Loth d’Orkney’s name, he is hardly associated with him. He often jokes about the abuse he suffered from him as a child and then teenager.
Rumor has it that he and Yvain de Cameliard left F2 in bad terms, although they appear polite and friendly towards one another during media duties.
Caius Camillus’ career in F1 made him quickly famous due to an anonymous reveal that he was the half brother of F1 racing legend Priam Furius (Camillus,) who sadly passed in 2000 after a brutal collision with former rival Hector O’Maris at the Monaco GP. He signed with RBR in 2017 and was overworked until his firing.
After a hospitalisation for burnout in 2020 he accepts to race for SF, losing his seat as first driver in his former team to race alongside Bohort Deganis.
He’s nicknamed Centurio by Tifosi, because he’s known for always listening to team orders, even when they might not be to his advantage.
He’s been declared most stylish driver of the grid, alongside McLaren driver Rohan Kashtrya.
Bohort Deganis (also known as la Lune Monégasque) quickly stood out due to his driving style being drastically different to his off-track personality. He’s known for being agressive and slightly too brutal with both his opponents and teammates. This behaviour led his previous teammate, Venec Nasri, to leave SF a year into his contract, both teammates still in bad terms to this day.
He’s however extremely popular despite this, due to his kindness and sportsmanship as soon as the race ends. His nickname comes from such lunatic behaviour; he got caught in a “positive” scandal in 2019 for bringing homemade biscuits to a line of fans waiting in queue at the Japanese GP.
He won the 2022 season with 410 points, while Lancelot had 322.
Venec Nasri grew up karting with his now teammate Alzagar Alessi, and is the first ever Algerian F1 driver. The pair have the habit to call themselves I pirati, because they also share the passion of yatch racing.
They both come from humble families and had to give up most of their childhood and teenage years to work overtime to help pay for karting.
Venec failed to pass his driving license 3 times.
The Team Principals are all quite familiar with one another, but the rivalry between d’Orkney and de Cameliard goes back decades.
Leodagan de Cameliard used to race under the number 7 for Williams Ford, debuting his F1 career at 18 in 1980. He won the same year, and became the youngest ever World Champion. Despite being a gifted driver, the work ethic imposed by his father took a toll on him, as he continued to win 5 other WDC, but retired immediately in 1987 after breaking both his wrists and getting severe damage to his back during a test session.
He and his son entertain the fans with an instagram account of the family dog, a Newfoundland called Simba.
Bohort Deganis also has a dog, a Doberman called Helain. He also has an account for him.
Loth d’Orkney won in 1987 with Ligier Ford, remaining Leodagan’s biggest rival. He’s known for his dry but sarcastic posts on social media and for his mistreatment of his son.
2000’s fatal crash :
O’Maris and Furius were struggling during a fight for pole during the Monaco GP; the track in the city being narrow and not allowing much space to manoeuvre. O’Maris made a wrong move at turn 8, sending both his and Furius’ cars spiralling in the tunnel—the force at which the latter hit the wall after multiple barrel rolls killed him on impact.
O’Maris was stunted but quickly gained back his consciousness, rushing to the other driver’s car to see the damages. Because they ended up under the tunnel, it was harder for help to reach them, but the other drivers were immediately informed of a Red Flag. A few minutes after the crash, the ambulances could only bring out the two corpses of the drivers—O’Maris’ body was found in an odd angle, as if trying to reach Furius’ hand.
Both their numbers, 12 and 76, were permanently withdrawn by the FIA.

Requested by @loveinspirelivelife
Request; Heyyy, will you be able to write about lewis’s wife being horner’s daughter and to show how they got together leading up to him winning 2020 championship and celebrating with her and their child?
Warnings; mention of RBR and Horner, that’s it.
Note; almost started crying at how cute it is to write about dad!lewis 🥹
✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩
Being the daughter of the Red Bull Formula One’s Team Principal, you had grown up in the motorsport’s world, you had seen your father racing when you were a child and now, he was leading one of the biggest team in Formula One.
It wasn’t always easy to be in that world, everything you’d do would always be commented on even where you were simply a team principal’s daughter. So, when you met Lewis and you too became friends, the medias didn’t hesitate to spread rumors of the two of you dating.
That being said, they weren’t exactly wrong as Lewis asked you out two months after you first met, and even if you knew how disappointed your dad would be- you wanted to do something for yourself, and going out with Lewis had been the best decision you had made.
It was the first Grand Prix since the summer break, you hadn’t seen Lewis since the last Grand Prix before the break but that didn’t stop neither of you to text each other every single day- every time you’d see his name pop on your screen, you would smile to yourself.
You’d be lying if you said that what you were the most excited for this race week-end wasn’t to see Lewis again. As soon as the Red Bull garage had been installed and everyone had arrived, you excused yourself and headed to the Mercedes’ garage to see your friend.
Greetings everyone you knew in the garage, as soon as you saw your friend, as his back was facing you, you jumped on his back, “ guess who is it?”
“ Mmh I’d say that it might be my favorite person dressed in Red Bull’s merch?”
Laughing wholeheartedly at his guess, you kissed his cheek before climbing down from his back, “ that wasn’t too hard to guess!”
“ It definitely wasn’t,” joked your friend as he engulfed you in a warm embrace, “ I missed you! How are you?”
“ I’m great, happy to see you again- I missed you too! Excited to race again?”
“ Of course, especially knowing that you’ll secretly root for me.”
Playfully rolling your eyes, it wasn’t really a secret that ever since meeting Lewis, you became his number one supporter in the Paddock, even if you were coming from a rival team, “ i think everyone knows it.”
“ Next step is for you to wear Mercedes’ merch.”
At his comment, you faked indignation, scrunching up your nose and a hand over your heart, “not even in your dreams!”
“ Alright, alright but more seriously, what you’d think about going out for a drink or something tonight?”
“ Like, as a date?”
“ Yes, as a date.”
“ Only if you win one of the two practices today.”
That day, you hadn’t set the bar too high by challenging to win one of the two practices of the day, it wasn’t surprised that he ended up winning and the same night, you two were going on your first date together- the first of many.
After that first date, it didn’t take long for you two to officially start dating, everyone around the paddock knew about it at this point but you didn’t really made it official to the public until Lewis posted a bunch of pictures you took together to celebrate the six months of dating.
Dating Lewis was one of the best thing to happen in your life, he had always such a positive attitude no matter how rough days could get, he was always there to make you smile and laugh- you’d trade what you two had for nothing in the world.
Your father wasn’t the biggest fan of Lewis and yours relationship but ended up accepting it when he realized how happy your boyfriend made you.
Over the time, you started spending more time in the Mercedes’ garage than the Red Bull’s but you were accepted and loved by both of the team. However, you had yet to be seen wearing Mercedes’ or Lewis’ merch.
The two of you were a match made in heaven, you shared so many hobbies and interest and one of the thing you loved to do the most was having matching outfits, or at the very least outfits that were coordinated on the paddock.
When you moved in with Lewis, you couldn’t have been happier, not only you could spend more time with him but also with Roscoe who was, in your opinion, the best dog ever- he was a bit shy when you first met him but now he loved you and enjoyed to stay around with you.
It had been over a year and a half that you had been dating when Lewis first mentioned the possibility of getting engaged and married with you- he wanted to know your opinion before actually proposing to you.
You were sitting on the couch, Lewis’ head was resting on your lap while Roscoe was sleeping at the bottom of the couch- you two had been playing on his console for the last hour or so when Lewis stopped playing to look over at you.
Noticing Lewis’ eyes on you, you stopped playing too and looked down on his face, “ what is it?”
“ You know, I really think I’ve found my person with you, the love of my life- the one I’m happy to spend the rest of my life with.”
You were confused as to why he was telling you this right now, you smiled as your hand went on Lewis’ cheek to gently caress it with your thumb, “ I feel the same way, babe- you know it but why saying this now?”
“ Well, I was thinking about how lucky I am to be able to call you my girlfriend- but I was thinking maybe one day I’ll be lucky enough to call you my wife?”
“ You want us to get married?”
“ Would you say yes?”
Chuckling, amused that he was asking this question as if he didn’t know what would your answer be, “ of course, I’d say yes silly.”
“ Then, Y/N Y/L/N Horner, would you make me the luckiest man in the world and accept to marry me? Of course, when I get a ring, I’ll make a real proposal and even more cheesy than what we see in movies.”
“ You don’t need to make anything big Lewis, it’s perfect like this- and yes, I’ll marry you Lewis Carl Davidson Hamilton.”
Lowering your head to reach Lewis’, you kissed him, wondering what you did to deserve someone as sweet and loving as he was with you.
A week later, Lewis had already found the perfect ring with your favorite gemstone on it- it was definitely the prettiest ring you had ever seen.
Six months after, Lewis and you were officially married for your two years together, the wedding was big of course but still, it was only with people you knew, your family, Lewis’ family, his friends and yours including the people working at Mercedes and Red Bull.
Your father was the one to walk you down the aisle, even if he still wasn’t the biggest fan of Lewis, he was still proud to walk you down the aisle, watch you get married and have the best day of your life.
Due to the championship and the upcoming races, you weren’t able to go on your honeymoon until a few months later during the winter after the end of last season. But now, you had a surprise for Lewis, something you had kept as a secret for the past few days as you wanted to surprise him on the first day of your honeymoon.
You both chose to go somewhere calm for the honeymoon as you wanted to have privacy and just have fun without being disturbed everyday, it was only going to be Lewis, you and Roscoe- and nothing could make it better.
Ever since you learned you were pregnant, you thought of a cute way to tell Lewis and the honeymoon seemed to be the perfect moment to tell him. You hadn’t really talked about having a child before but you knew how good Lewis was with kid and you could see yourself having a family with him.
It had been hard to not tell him beforehand, you just wanted to break the news as you never kept anything from your husband but this time was an exception.
Nuzzled into your husband’s neck, you watched as he was scrolling down his social medias while he had an arm loosely laying on your side, the two of you were tired from the flight but not enough to sleep yet, “ can I ask you something?”
“ Yeah?”
“ What would you say about having a baby one day?”
Lewis frowned, surprised by your serious question, locking his phone and putting it on the side, he looked at you, “ I’d say that I would love to have a family with you.”
Smiling at his answer, even if you had already guessed his answer would be along those lines, you gently grabbed his hand that was resting on your waist and slid it to your belly.
Lewis was struggling to find the right words- too stunned by your announcement, “ are you? we’re going to have a baby?”
“ Yes,” you giggled at his happy but shocked face, “ I did two tests at the beginning of the week and they both came out positive- I wanted to tell you right away but I wanted this to be our moment and what better time than our honeymoon for that.”
“ I’m going to be a dad?”
You could hear in your husband’s voice how emotional he was, as well as the tears of you in his eyes- there was no doubt about it, Lewis was going to be the best dad ever.
“ Yes, babe. You’re going to be a dad.”
Still keeping his hand on your stomach, Lewis smiled ear to ear, as if he had finally registered the news you broke to him and pressed a kiss on your lips.
Throughout your whole pregnancy Lewis had been by your side, never missing an appointment whether it was for an ultrasound or anything else- no matter how busy his schedule could get, he always managed to find a way to be there.
During the last months, when it became harder to do simple tasks such as bending down to pick something up or just standing which made your back hurt, Lewis would do everything he could to make it easier for you- and he looked happy to do so.
When your baby finally arrived, Lewis and you were over the moon as your little girl was born healthy and she was the cutest baby you had ever seen- she was a perfect mix between you and Lewis.
As you had expected from the day you learned you were going to have a baby, Lewis was the best dad- he was so invested in everything, from feeding your daughter to bathe her and change her, he was doing it all.
The first time you brought your daughter to the Paddock, she instantly had everyone wrapped around her little finger and you couldn’t blame them.
As she grew up, it didn’t take long for your daughter to become Lewis’ number one supporter, and here you were two years later, in Istanbul at the Turkish Grand Prix watching with your daughter as your husband showed the whole world why he was the best in the world as he won his seventh world title.
Everyone in the garage was cheering, some of the engineers ran to the fence to cheers as your husband went past the checkered flags- your daughter was jumping on her little feet as she understood that her daddy was champion of the world.
Proudly smiling with tears in your eyes, you listened to your friend, Bono, as he told Lewis, “ get in there Lewis! What a way to do it mate! What a way to win your seventh world title!”
In the headset you had been wearing the whole race to hear Lewis, you heard him laugh happily, overwhelmed that he had just equaled the record of having seventh world title, “ thank you so much guys.”
Now that Lewis was going to park, Toto made a sign of the head to tell you to follow the team to celebrate your husband’s win. Taking your daughter in your arms, you followed the team and waited for Lewis to get out of his car.
When he finally did after taking his helmet off, you could see his eyes full of tears- as soon as he saw the two of you with the Mercedes’ team, he made a sign with his hand for you and your daughter to join him.
You weren’t supposed to go there and would probably be reprimanded later, but Lewis had just won and you didn’t care in the slightest about what the FIA could think of it.
Lewis took your daughter in his arms while he was still on his car to share this moment with her, you took your phone out and immortalized this moment with pictures- maybe you had chosen the right day to finally wear Mercedes’ merch.
Kissing y/d/n’s cheek, he handed her back to you to jump down from the car, as soon as Lewis’ feet landed on the ground, he hugged the two of you and kissed you, “ this win is for you and y/d/n.”
“ I’m so proud of you, Lewis. You deserve it more than anyone else, now go celebrate with the team.”
After another kiss, Lewis ran to his team and jumped on them as they all cheered and celebrated their champion.
When it was time for the podium, y/d/n and you were at the very front to applaud Lewis as he threw his trophy in the air to celebrate. Your daughter couldn’t stop jumping on her feet as she clapped her hands while the music was blasting and champagne was thrown on the podium.
As soon as the celebration was finished and it was now time for the interviews, y/d/n ran to her dad to hug him and tell him he was the best champion. Lewis lifted your daughter and made her sit on his shoulders while he was holding her legs so she wouldn’t fall and ended up doing the interviews like this much to y/d/n’s delight.

Note
there's something distinctly hilarious about people thinking that somehow having understeering automatically "makes a car slow" as if 1) people who drive understeering cars, like nando and prost, and to some extent seb and lewis (i think he's said he likes a 'planted rear') aren't capable of driving insanely quickly and 2) no it's not a trait of "midfield cars" to be understeering, engineers will develop to what they think is doable and will suit general engineering demands the best while not being impossible for the driver to manage.
every time i see some of those vaguely "technical" posts on here, i want to laugh. thrilling to know we have a wealth of engineers here who are sure to be the future of f1 and not people who are just commentating on things they understand extremely poorly. (every day that passes, i start to dislike chirlies more than my cfd simulations, which i thought was impossible. do some thorough research before commenting, and stop acting like the whole world is out to get charles or that it's a crime to refuse participating in the muretto's stupidity, thanks. he's not letting himself be defined by the worser moments of this season, stop making that your obsessive focus. and also: have some decency towards somebody who could've died twice already.)
i don't even want to add anything to this bc anon you said 👏 it 👏 all 👏 but i will anyway! so i guess it's just easier to blame anything and anyone for "making" charles lose a championship that, really, has been max's all along i'm not saying this from my high horse of nichilism or whatever, i got my heart broken as well, i was hoping for ferrari to win this just like any other ferrari fan but..... really there was no foul play, no random conspiracy or wasted resources or whatever they're still making up. they simply weren't ready. the team, the drivers, not even the car. like i said already (or, even better: like any technical article written by some actual engineering expert) the updates of the f1-75 worked just as planned. they kept their comfortable lead over mercedes (who was also becoming faster than the rest of the midfield) and battled it at the top with redbull. while i was thinking about your ask i kinda realized that we could summarize ferrari's gaps in performance with the streak of races between imola and monaco. so, in order: mistakes by the drivers, deficit in straight-line speed compared to the rb18, engine unreliability, the strategy team being tragically unprepared. all of these just repeated again and again thorough the season. because of the spectacularity of it everyone latched on monaco and blamed the management for "failing" charles, completely ignoring the more alarming fact that there's no race this season where the ferraris won (or could have won, if we wanna include monaco and hungary) without max having some kind of technical issue or having to start from the back. i went on a tangent there, i'm so sorry anon 😭 but about what you were actually talking about: yeah i would be surprised if they knew about driving styles at this point, since they've learnt the word "oversteering" as being a synonym for "fast". or if they could even entartain the idea of a driver adapting his style to their car (kinda what carlos did this year. but don't tell them ! it's all sainztander !). but still, they were also the same ones that mocked seb all thorough 2019 and 2020... so yeah. why i am even surprised by their antics. my poor problematic sexy f1-75, being trashed every week despite consistently taking poles and being the second fastest car on the track on sundays..... and that's simply because rbr came back from the summer break with the secret to indestructible tyres. but hey, explain tyre deg to them. or make them take a step back to compare ferrari with any other team on the grid. maybe then they'll realize there was never a step back. simply it's rbr that took so many step forwards.

What happened to your horner hoe hours, you switched up on us horner fuckers I miss the old kate :(
Ooooffffttttt you must have followed me since the old school tw*tter days 🤢🤮
I've received several similar asks so I'm just going to get it over and done with:
I haven't said a good word about Christian since early 2019. What happened is that I realised he's a scumbag. People forget how close a relationship Daniel and Christian actually had:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Daniel was asked to drive Christian and Geri on their wedding day from the church ceremony to the reception hall, a duty usually reserved for the best man or brother of the groom. By contrast the other Red Bull driver at the time, Daniil, wasn't even invited/present as far as I know (which is a whole other can of worms about the overt and uncomfortable favouritism and exclusionism at Red Bull but thats for another day.)
I was still very much sympathetic towards him throughout the horror show that was 2018, even post Daniel's announcement that he was leaving Redbull, when the snide comments started. Everything he said and did was fair game to me because I understood he was running a multimillion dollar business and he couldn't be faulted for putting the interests of RBR first.
It wasn't until it came out that he'd said Daniel was running from a fight right before dts premiered.
It was untrue. It was unnecessary. It was malicious. It was terribly gas-lighty given Daniel had comfortably outscored Max for two consecutive seasons. And it was very obviously said to inflict long term damage. And it did. It's a persevering narrative. It was the perfect sensationalist headline fodder and Christian knew that.
He played the role of scorned, destructive ex very convincingly, he still talks about Daniel leaving Redbull 2 years later, literally just a couple of months ago- still fucking talking about how Daniel left.
The fact that he could do that to someone he very clearly had a personal relationship with was the perfect foreshadowing to how every other driver was going to be treated at Red Bull.
+ Anon, I say this lovingly, its a self drag to be a h*rner f*cker in the year of our Lord 2020.

If you think Lewis Hamilton is even remotely OK with the idea of having another driver at the hospital then you absolutely do not know him one bit and you should be ashamed of yourself for spreading rumours.

Not to be that person, but maybe some Lewis fans would be less angry at macs and redbull if they didn't have to endure a whole year of:
racist and hateful comments from both rbr and some of their fans,
constant booing,
insinuating Lewis tried to kill macs,
childish behavior and insults from macs, not to mention the lack of checking up on Lewis after that crash after underlining himself Lewis' 'reaction' to his crash,
the fact macs and rbr get away with their behavior so easily, never apologizing, never owning up to it, while Lewis has to explain himself every. single. time. he. says. or. reacts. to. anything.
Oh and the fact people have been calling macs 'champion' left and right all year long when he hasn't yet won anything while Lewis is still 'a fraud' with 7 championships.

F1: enforces a three hour rule to start a race.
Also F1: the race has started with the formation laps but it didn't really start lol, nobody knows just vibe with it. Oh and we stopped the clock. It's still three hours but we're the masters of time. We will decide which hours count as part of the three hours limit!

i'm so confused; i feel like i've seen so many fellow lewis fans having some sort of beef with alex/alex fans
have i missed something recently?? can i not just like them both wtaf is going on lmaooo
You absolutely 100% can!!! (And you should … both are amazing)
It‘s just that Alex has made some comments in support of Max (saying he‘s had lots of problems throughout the season so him winning made up for that, saying he feels bad for Mercedes but also the team meaning RBR meaning the team he was working for deserved it) and because we‘re all a lil bit hypothetically around here those quotes are being used as an excuse to shit on Alex
And Alex fans have been in the trenches since … Idk, 2020 post Austria AT LEAST, we‘re always ready to go to war for our boy 🤍💙

I just feel like the conversations about Lewis' dominance often get tainted by racism and more so than with Seb or Schumi//
I see, of course I definitely get your pov. And you are right about anti-fans and some commentators. I watch the GPs via skysport f1. And most of the british commentators are heavily biased towards Lewis, which I kinda like, cause he needs the extra support. Mostly though, it gets frustrating, especially when there is a good fight in the midfield. I rather watching the midfield, instead of watching the dominant car, especially if I know dominant one is gonna win, it doesn't matter who is the driver. It could be Seb, Lewis or any driver. And I think the boring aspect of it is also about the commentators. I wish Button could be in the commentating booth more😊 Thank you for being a blog that we can share our thoughts calmly and nicely.
Sometimes I get really jealous because all I get is Sky Sports Germany F1 and Ralf Schumacher heralding all things RBR and even Macs dad. And then I remember Paul DiResta sometimes is on the International broadcast and I feel a bit better haha.
I feel like if people actually looked towards the midfield more often, no one would think F1 is boring (except for Monaco because that was boring af lmao). We've had really good fights between McLaren, Ferrari, Alpha Tauri, Aston Martin and Alpine and even Williams an Alfa Romeo sometimes. Sometimes even between Mick and the Williams cars. We've seen good and clean battles all across the year and yet broadcasting only focuses on what's happening at the front and if that's boring, the race and the sport is boring. And I feel like I follow a lot of Aston MArtin, Alpine and I'm a Williams fan and I don't feel like the season was boring, or 2020 was boring because there was already so much happening in the midfield.
(Also with that calmly and nicely I'll take it even if I think it doesn't apply to all thoughts and opinions, because if you remember my anti verstappen shenanigans I can get quite vocal as well haha)

in order to cope, what are your top 3 ferrari moments and your top 3 charles leclerc moments? :’)
awww anon thanks! but also S.O.S.
well top 3 ferrari moments! these are just the ones i remember but i will say:
1) michael's last race EVER - 2006 brazilian grand prix
Tumblr media
first of all, it was in brazil and it was the end of an era. everyone was crying even the reno fans were crying because it felt like A Coming Of Age moment. pelé was there and he was crying too. the whole thing was poised to be a disaster. the championship was as good as done and michael had qualified in 10th while fernando was in 4th. things got worse when he attempted to overtake fisichella and punctured his tires, which supposedly meant his race was as good as over as he nearly got lapped. however, he climbed back to P4. he deserved better in a way, but his performance was the one of a champion imo.
2) seb's first win - 2015 malaysian grand prix
Tumblr media
here's the thing, seb's rbr era came along w my puberty and sudden awareness that people are hot. he was incredibly cute (come 2013, incredibly hot), he stanned michael and he was the best driver on the grid no cap, which meant i secretly was into him while officially standing as "i hate everyone who isn't in a ferrari". 2014 onwards i knew it was a matter of time and 2015 came to confirm it: he was mine. i mean, ferrari's. so the combination of this particular grand prix having played out in the pits alongside seb, my ultimate bias, winning for my favourite team was HUGE. when i think of ferrari seb i think of moments like these tbh not about what happened in 2020. oh well 3) RUBENS BARRICHELLO AT THE 2000 GERMANY GRAND PRIX
Tumblr media
MAN. obvious choice, how could i not add it here? first brazilian win since ayrton senna in 1993, first brazilian to win for ferrari, RUBENS' FIRST RACE WIN EVER AFTER BEING LONG OVERDUE ONE. this is 2000 so i was four, i'm not gonna claim i remember vividly everything that happened on that day, but since i watch it quite a lot whenever i am sad, i have practically the whole thing memorised. complete masterclass by rubens in the wet after starting in P18 (just as The Boss would have liked it). what moves me the most is seeing everyone congratulate rubens (including michael, who had dnf'd himself and came back just to hug him. also both mclaren dudes). in the british narration brundle says how he can hear the brazilian commentators going insane and that's not enough. these dudes were CRYING. the narration gives me chills, one day i will subtitle it and post it here. alexa play tema da vitória.
ok, so, top 3 charles leclerc moments? it's hard for me to pinpoint tbh because in his case, my highlight for him is the entirety of 2020. he had surprise podiums, monstrous qualifyings and true bottling races worthy of mental breakdowns yet he always kept his head high and managed to criticise the team without breaking them down and was incredibly supportive of seb without ever throwing him to the lions. he is the sort of person you want in your team if you know your car is shit and the payoff has been a very solid 2021. his pole lap in monaco this year was amazing. i just wish the guy was a bit more socially conscious but well. i live in bolsonaro's brazil everything is miserable, you know? i want to have fun mindlessly for 2 hours or so. i will always carry 2019 italian grand prix in my mind though. it really was worth to make the engine illegal.
Tumblr media
also 2018 germany grand prix, free practice 3. that was hilarious.
sorry for the long wall of text anon!

2021 predictions by totowoof  ~ no logic or technical knowledge, just vibes ~
this is more to keep a trace of it somewhere for myself than anything else
also it’s a mix of teams/drivers’ results and shenanigans (mostly)
in no particular order :
Lewis wins an 8th championship
Esteban improved in 2020, he beats Fernando. He may be a worldchampion and have loads of experience, he hasn’t raced in F1 for a while plus he’s old and reflexes aren’t the same sorry
no Cyril tattoo (i know it's sad but i feel like he will dodge it somehow 😞)
Daniel and Lando do not cooperate as much as they’d like them to, things are a bit tense in the papaya team
things are even more tense in Maranello
Checo does not have consistent results, he struggles with the car. Still he does better than Alex and Pierre.
at least one team principal talks about RBR having problems with the second seat and managing their drivers (my money is on Zak)
McLaren struggles with the merc PU or adapting the car to it (I have had a bad feeling about this since it was announced, please prove me wrong)
Renault does something illegal
Yuki has a below average 1st year in F1 (sorry bub ily but it's ok you're a rookie)
mazepin defends when blue flagged
mazepin gets a penalty in the first race
mazepin being lapped 24/7 and me laughing my ass off
Mick being lapped 24/7 bc the Haas is a shitbox and I’m crying in a corner
Mick won't be able to say anything about Mazepin bc he has to be professional, he’ll have to play nice and fans will give him shit for it somehow
Same for a lot of the drivers (this will be a PR nightmare)
SEB REMONTADA
Max matures and is a bit smarter in taking risks, more patient (see Sakhir GP)
Max gets P2 in the drivers’ championship but really close to Valterri
Ferrari is back, kind of, P4 in the constructors’ championship
Antonio improves and has a good season, hair majestic as ever
Kimi retires
one of the drivers gets married (idk why, don’t ask)
would make me a bit sad but Nicky scores points in the Williams before George after some weird twist of fate :(
someone drops their trophy while on the podium and it breaks
RedBull making their usual video stuff and Checo is a bit awkward (i’m sorry and ily)
everyone complains about the tyres
at least 3 races are cancelled due to covid and we get Portimao again
PR stuff from the teams, F1 and the media in general feel more forced, they understood what the younger fans like and push it too far
weird animal on track (not a cat or a dog, but more like the lizard in 2016)
no one says anything about Saudi Arabia
one of the commentators somewhere says something live about a controversy and gets reprimanded
midfield will once again be tight, AT will be behind a bit as Pierre will be paired up with a rookie (and that’s normal i think) but otherwise it could be any order depending on reliability, DNFs and stuff.
Aston Martin with a special James Bond livery or at least helmets (Seb gets a beautiful and classy design)
Lando pulls a perfect lap out of his ass and gets on pole
8 different drivers on the podium

RBR chief encouraged pilots to be contaminated by Covid-19
EFE / EPA / VALDRIN XHEMAJVerstappen is the main driver of RBR
Helmut Marko, a consultant at RBR, revealed that he advised his drivers to be infected with the new coronavirus before the 2020 Formula 1 season begins. In the understanding of the Austrian leader, this would be a way for the professionals to be prepared for the start of the competition.
“It would be an ideal time for the infection to come. They are all strong young men in good health. That way, they would be prepared for when the action starts, ”said the 76-year-old.
Marko's idea was to contaminate Verstappen, Albon, Kvyat and Gasly, drivers of RBR and Alpha Tauri, in addition to reserves (including Brazilian Setti Camara) and juniors. The plan, which was intended to give immunity to professionals, however, was rejected and has not progressed.
“We have four Formula One drivers and eight or ten juniors, and the idea was to organize a field to mentally and physically overcome dead time. Let's put it this way: it was not well received ”, he commented.
Helmut Marko is the head of RRB
The planning of the RBR consultant is contrary to the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), which advises the infected to practice quarantine.
Worldwide, official data compute more than 700,000 people infected with Covid-19, with 36,873 deaths.

Ricciardo happy with Red Bull support
Daniel Ricciardo and Christian Horner Daniel Ricciardo is satisfied that he has a level of support equal to that of team-mate Max Verstappen despite comments from Red Bull Racing boss Christian Horner. Prior to Verstappen’s re-signing, until the end of 2020, Horner had encouraged the Dutchman to stay and have RBR “build a team around (him).” The 20-year-old also received an upgraded Renault…
