Currently Watching: Been making my way through One Piece with my bestie, although we're also making a detour for some Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works. I'm exposing him to all my favorite stuff.

Currently Reading: Not really reading any primarily text based stuff right now, but I have a huge list of manga that I'm reading on a weekly basis as new chapters come out. Gonna give a shout out to Marriage Toxin, a really cool shonen action series about an assassin trying to find a potential wife with the help of a marriage swindler.

Current Obsession: My Fate/franchise obsession is the current dominant hyper fixation. My TTRPG group is talking about rebooting my attempt to run a Fate tabletop game that everyone really liked, and thinking of ideas for it is kicking that hyper fixation into gear.

Currently Watching: Summoning Salt’s Halo 2 speedrun video. As for TV shows, currently watching The First Responders with my sibling. It’s good!

Currently Reading: Oddly enough, I’m also working my way through Discworld like Sayvir, albeit on my first run through. Currently about halfway through Feet of Clay

Current Obsession: Destiny continues its streak and I snagged the D1 collection on sale, so I’m playing through that for the first time. I’m starting to veer towards tabletop games, though, and the inherent moddability they have. I also want to check out Lancer, partly to study a tabletop game that isn’t DnD, but mostly because of Vexwerewolf’s excellent shitposts

Also, I’ve become weirdly obsessed with the Duskrender type 0 helm from D1. I think it just looks really neat.

That's...that's definitely not something I regularly think about doing, so I don't even know why I brought it up.

Housekeeping

Some new backend changes have broken a bunch of formatting on my old decklists and article posts. I had it fixed previously but it looks like that fix no longer works, so I’m going over them again to try and get it back to my intention. Good thing it’s not too complicated, because I’m extremely out of practice with CSS. Hopefully things will be a little nicer for people checking the backlog once I can get everything taken care of again.

[Command Tower]

Through coincidence I acquired this lovely little C17 [Command Tower] and as I already have one in every of my commander decks I thought to myself “why not alter it?”

It turned out a little harder than I expected, because these glares around the light in the sky (is it some kind of portal? idk ...) were really difficult to paint. But now I am ready and it turned out pretty okay I think. Hit me up if you want to buy it! I am sure you will need another Command Tower in the future anyways ... ;)

Hey, so I know you're particular outspoken about your disdain for Mara Sov. I have a bad habit of missing the nuance of the Destiny 2 story. I'm also sure you've already talked about it, but I was wondering if you could go into what's wrong with her.

well it’s a good thing you asked that because i just wrote this thread. 

tbh there’s a lot i dislike about her - mainly her being an abuser who manipulated her own brother into emotional dependency then let savathun use and kill him - but this is by far my biggest pet peeve.

well, actually, my biggest peeve is bungie retconning her from “space pirate queen who was mutated by the collapse, left to rot in the reef, but refused to die and instead clawed her way up to power and led her people to becoming major players in solar system politics because she has balls harder than plasteel.”

...to “yeah the awoken happened to fall into another dimension when the light and darkness fought and that dimension happened to give them immortality and godhood and mara happened to get her powers because she happened to fall into that dimension first. then she happened to manipulate everyone for thousands of years because they happen to like her, except for the ones who don’t.”

let’s just say there were clearly some plans that got scrapped along the way. BUT it gave us forsaken’s incredible story that saved destiny so like, it was definitely worth it in the long run.
