looking for alaska by john green and my thoughts on it

WARNING SPOILERS IF YOU HAVENT READ THIS BOOK YET THEN DONT READ THIS POST

I've heard some people say that looking for alska by john green has a bad representation of mental health and i have to disagree because as someone who strugles with mental illness i can relate to these characters especially alaska. When i read this book i was strugling with depression and suicidal thoughts and inside the book after alaska dies and everyones just left struggling wondering why it happened, how it happened, and if there was anything that couldve been done to prevent it struck a cord with me. It explicitly describes that feeling of loss and the confusion that comes with it. But to me it felt like it was describing what happens when someone commits suicide, or when anyone really dies.

might straight up just request blankets and pillows and stuffed animals from people for my bday/christmas this year . they dont have to be high quality just soft i want a nest

i'm very happy that they're bringing back the couch and chair dynamic from the beginning of watcher weekly except it's so much cozier now. i think it shows how much more comfortable they are with running a company now than they were three years ago. they started in a small, empty office with the couch and chair that looked very much like New Office Furniture and similarly they presented the company in a way that was almost begging to be taken seriously. and now their furniture looks comfortable and lived in and there's clutter around from their shows and from fans and it was designed to showcase sentimental things and happy memories. they're experienced now, they're making bigger investments in themselves and they know who they are and what they want to make and they've built a space that reflects that. they're not just a tiny startup production company anymore!!
