Nine-Tailed Fox (Ascended Form)

Prince-Class Chrysalis Yang Pilot: Yang Guang Yin Pilot: Variable

My take on Nine-Tailed Fox, from @xiranjayzhao's novel Iron Widow, rendered in Lego. I've made brick-built mechas before, but few as slim as Nine-Tailed Fox, which combined with the many curves required some weird SNOT tenchnique. I think it turned out okay though.

The tails are all cipped onto a steering wheel hub, so they can easily be detached for fighting. There is also a ball joint in the waist for added flexibility.

Celestia and Luna Redesign!

merely because I was bored, and that this was also put on hold for months- I'm deciding to post it now, though!

The brightest light in the daytime sky, and the comforting glow of the night, these two sisters work together as one.

Celestia is the more talkative of the two, and is often seen with her eyes closed shut- a way to symbolize that she puts her trust in Luna to keep watch as she speaks her wisdom.

Luna is quieter, but has taken on the role of being the voice of Twilight's mentor. Her words speak of truth, often having her perceived as "harsh" and "stone-cold" when she refuses to speak white lies.

While the two have been in harmony, they have had their times of weakness- Causing one or the other to split away from their combined form, the dance between the moon and the sun ceasing. The sisters have forgiven each other, but they remain ever vigilant- always watching each other's backs and minds.

Nightmare Moon is formed through Luna's perception of her sister becoming warped, leading to her becoming paranoid that Celestia is draining her power in order to keep the sun in the sky longer. Luna's paranoia becomes so intense that she forces the split, her distress leading to her becoming Nightmare Moon. With that change, the moon becomes locked within the sky, creating a constant twilight as the sun is unable to rise, leading to distressed animals and famine. The mane six are the ones to bring Luna out of her paranoia, Celestia becoming too focused with trying to restore the order of day and night to help her sister.

Daybreaker is formed through Celestia's power being challenged and distorted through Discord, afflicting her mind, much like her sister. Instead of paranoia, she's full of internalized wrath, for what her sister caused over "some stupid thoughts"Daybreaker, like Nightmare Moon, locks the sun in the middle of the sky, making night impossible and leading to drought in equestria. Luna eventually breaks through her sister's anguish and anger, breaking Discord's influence on her, forgiving her sister at the same time for putting their home first before her. This process creates a solar eclipse.

COMING SOMEDAY: Princess Cadance and Queen Chrysalis - The insectoid alicorns of healing and solitude.

You know the drill, here's some info :

Prectikar are a bit hard to read because the fur-feather stuff smooths them out a bit, but they store fat and build muscle in similar places as mammals. It’s hard to tell the difference also between just fat or really muscular because a really bulky muscular kar would also look a lot like the high body fat image, the middle guy is more really toned/on the lighter side. Them being underweight is hard to see for us (they’re all big) but when compared to a larger individual the difference is obvious

Kixeli aren’t really built to store that much fat but they’re great at building muscle. Fat storage happens on the neck and legs, and can sort of smooth out other areas in their body. A shredded Kixeli is very easy to notice because their skin is so thin that the muscles show very easily. The back of the skull, chest area, and in the eye sockets is really where you’d be able to tell if they’re skinnier than average, since all of them tend to have (in our eyes) pretty spindly limbs and such.

In drecu, muscle and fat building works a bit differently between Dorest and Rox. Just some clarification about how they work in general, they have primarily exoskeleton support and some internal supports in their hip/torso/tail area. However, this outer armor ranges in thickness and flexibility, and has some gaps that are bridged underneath by skin derived from their chrysalis. They only really grow or shrink in size in areas where there is a gap or where the outer plates are springy/segmented enough to allow. So, Dorest only really store fat in their neck, ‘armpit’ area, and underside of tail. Rox have an additional area on their abdomen that can do this. Dorest have a lower muscle ‘limit’ on their arms than their legs since the plates on the legs are springier to allow more muscle space. Rox have a larger and more segmented structure all around that helps them build more muscle. In both, the presence of more muscle or fat under their exoskeleton and in their endoskeleton gives a fuller appearance to it, while the reverse makes them look sunken-in and allows any segments to fall close together, making it look smaller.At a certain point along that line, they’ll just slow down to a hibernation state since they can’t consume any more muscle from their own body without risking folding in on themselves.

Rossetians also work a lot like mammals in terms of fat and muscle. Unless they’re on steroids, it’s kind of impossible for them to get any sort of muscle building without also adding fat, so unlike the ripped kar example they don’t have as much definition even if they have equivalent muscle mass . As I’ve mentioned before, any Rossetian that’s as noticeably skinny as the example shown likely has some problems and should be checked up on, but they can look like that and mostly be fine.

Sundyne are a lot like Drecu, though their main fat storage location is on their abdomen like a cat almost. It helps protect them when in fights and keeps their limbs more streamlined. The male Sundyne beauty standard is thin and delicate but still lithe and curvy /not malnourished-looking and also not too muscular (close in terms of how unrealistic it is to the human standard of ‘very thin but somehow has massive boobs’ thing ) For females, large noticeable muscles while still having a robust but not too large body is the beauty standard (close to the human standard of ‘I’m ripped and you can see every muscle because I haven’t drank water in 2 days)

<- this whole post was actually kicked off by me thinking more about sundyne body types for when I'm drawing Maro, since she's a mix of the two: all muscle but very skinny for a female. She's staying in that zone thanks to a combination of her own insane body image standards telling her to be as athletic as possible, unaddressed gender stuff making her hate looking feminine, and limited access to cerest food or therapists in her area. Surely these problems have had no effect on her younger sibling who looks to her for everything about their self-perception!!

Hold up. I've seen a few people now point out that the kid who attacks Marinette in Revelator either has the same outfit as or just is the person taking notes in Illustrhater, but I'm not sure if anyone's pointed out this extra detail, so I just noticed—

The BRACELET or WATCH in Illustrhater is absent in Revelator. And we did see three watches in the London Special, but iirc we only saw two powers, right...?

I feel like there's clearly more going on tech-wise, between Nooroo's circuit-looking wings now and the cliffhanger weird light behind Lila in the s5 stinger scene. But yeah...

I'd like to propose that all the note takers we see are not Chrysalis herself, but are being literally puppeted around by her, whether willingly or unwillingly. That the watches weren't just backups but hints to a third time power, whether she's given it to herself or she's using a combination of tech and the Butterfly or she's offering either to a network of people she's convinced to help her.

The latest and newest artwork I'm pouring on the internet for the first time, hehe

This is my character that I play in Changeling: The Dreaming. It's been a long time since I've had such an easy, enjoyable and comfortable game. All the other games were good too, don't think so. I just feel like it's MY thing. Maybe it's the fact that I finally didn't limit myself and decided to take ALL the things I love and combine them into one character? Well, that makes sense…

Her name is Charlene René Wade, but in the fairy community she is known as Leofrun from the House Ailil. She has recently passed her Chrysalis and the Fior-Righ, but has already earned the title of knight in the course of our chronicle. She is a very emotional and passionate Autumn Sidhe from Unseelie Court. She enjoys making devious plans, participating in intrigue, unraveling other people's schemes and learning dirty secrets. More than anything, she longs to benefit the noble House Ailil. She likes to be a bit dramatic, although she loves fun and taking care of her loved ones. Sometimes she wants to appear more cold and impenetrable than she really is (she is far from it).

Like any Sidhe from House Ailil, she strives to be seen as nothing less than ideal and when that naturally doesn't happen… It hurts her. Sometimes she gets overly emotional and allows herself to think overly violent things. Part of her is frightened by this urge to burn cities and shoot at knees and… Charlene doesn't usually remember what happens next. A piece of her life falls out of her memory and it's good if she finds herself in a familiar place. She doesn't know, but in these moments that very part of her really wants to placate the universe and show that she is not bad, but on the contrary the kindest girl in the world.

Hello Viktor enjoyers I make my return..I have thoughts about this latest season. Before getting into full criticism, huge props to the artistic talent that worked on this show. Fortiche as a whole has genuinely changed tv animation, the combination of 2D and watercolor sequences-the super stylized music and fight scenes, absolutely thee best animation I think I’ve ever witnessed. The music, the art, the animation-even the character designs. While I don’t care for certain choices, the designs have so much artistic talent put into them. I adore cosmic horror, and to see that utilized was very cool!

To see the character it was used for, I have thoughts on. But I enjoyed the design as it was-the writing on the other hand..I’m upset with.

Admittedly, the first watch through I had was pure adrenaline. I went into this season with two things I wanted. I wanted to see Viktor evolve closer to his league self, and I wanted to see what route Sevika and Jinx would take-whether that path be together or as individuals, I wanted to see how they helped Zaun. And technically, in a way, I got what a wanted..for a moment.

There was a rumor in circulation, that arcane was meant to be five season long. I genuinely believe this wasn’t a rumor now. There was so much missing, there were so many interactions that were needed to feel this story the way it was felt in season 1. With everyone, but primarily with Viktor and Jayce. There’s that rebuttal old as season one that goes: “Arcane is meant to be about the sisters!”

Okay, how did the sisters mend their connection? Did they ever talk about it-the fact that Vi made Jinx-or how Vi committed chemical warfare on people-HER people?? Additionally, if Viktor was meant to always be the big bad we absolutely needed more time with him!! We needed to see the wedge driven between him and Jayce, to see when that good intent took a turn to the extreme. We needed to see him have more interactions with different characters-or expand further upon his already existing relationships!

There were seeds planted that the writers completely forgot about and let decay in dried up soil. In act 3 of season 1, Viktor starts getting snippy-and then outright mad at the people around him. Someone on here did address that, Viktor does have a temper. One that we were shown, when he snaps at Jayce on the bridge-literally smacking his hand away when he tries to help him up after being outright discriminative. When Mel even alludes to hextech weaponry, he gets upset-and then outright angry-teeth bared angry at the fact she would bloody their work-HIS work with Jayce in war. He and Jayce linger on it-he begins experimenting on himself because he realizes Mel has gotten to Jayce in a way he can’t pull back. The promise to destroy the hexcore, the thing he MADE Jayce promise his last wish was violated.

He stumbles out of this upright chrysalis entirely changed, amalgamation of flesh and organic looking metal-braces permanently encased to his body. He sees the blueprints for hextech weaponry, he SEES the schematics for Catelyin’s rifle. And he just..leaves, just “I must say goodbye to this place.”

I’ve seen the argument made: “the hexcore is controlling him!”

Then why does he show clear emotion in episode six? Why then and there can he express fear, concern, gratitude, outwardly. Not in the astral realm! Outwardly-his sass is even shown to be intact when Jinx thinks she has jokes! So why the hell did he never once get angry about his agency being robbed, about his life literally being left in someone else’s hands when that was something season 1 was alluding too?

And what about sky? I’m still so throughly confused on what her purpose of being back was about. Writers have had to clarify what she’s meant to do because of the lack of context! It feels like we have four, forty-five minute episodes missing. And not just of context and story for Viktor but of Sevika-of Jinx-The underground-Zaun’s conflict with piltover! The crux of what season 1 was, these two sisters and the two cities. A Zaunite and Piltovian, we had Cait and Vi, Jinx and Silco, Jayce and Viktor-dynamics that were mapped out. That needed to be explored, how did the undercity come to forgive Jinx after her father exploited most of the residents with Shimmer?

There was an entire lead up to Cait’s role as a dictator and we see..none of it? And the aim changes to finding Warwick and then to Viktor and there is so-so so much happening. It really does feel like three seasons compressed into one, but to the worst extent that the characters don’t feel like themselves. Viktor’s confidence he exudes in season one, that defiance, that determination, the anger we see him hone later. It’s gone, we he does fight Jayce there is not a HINT of anger or resentment-just: “Oh well-I was trying to be peaceful-I am going to kill you now though.”

Sevika’s urgency to make topside pay, is still there-she’s rallying people together, but then we just don’t see her until the big fight. Sure Scar is with her there-but that doesn’t say anything about it she’s leading whole different factions of Zaun after the prison break!

The finale left more questions than things answered, and I extremely dislike the usage of a time loop. Jayce’s line to Viktor of about his disability and his disease made my blood boil on my first watch through. There are so many others ways to say humanity’s imperfections are what make us perfectly human. Use emotions for example-scientifically we as humans have the highest range of emotions, but they don’t make us weak. Our ability to feel things vastly is what drives us to do certain things, art, writing, music, creation as a whole is driven by emotion. Creation can be good or bad, enlightening or destructive, but as humans we have that innate urge to do it because of emotion. Especially those who are artists, by far my favorite part of season two is how many artists looked at what was given and went:…so. I’m going to take this, and make it my own because you clearly cannot be trusted.

In conclusion, when writing fanfic or making art it will be of season one Viktor and the Machine Herald, not the Herald of the Arcane. Shoutout to The Boy Savior though, Ekko also has issues but man did he get the best end of the deal. Viktor enjoyers take care of yourselves, canon isn’t the end all be all. Have fun with making your Au’s or fixitfics, have fun drawing versions of characters you enjoy. And if it helps, season one does end on a very bleak point, but it could be seen as the ending.

So a reminder on some Princess Bee Plot Points:

To stop Gabriel, the Wish is used to make it so that he(and any allies) can't directly access any Miraculous. Through power of Equivalent Exchange, this means that Marinette and her allies can't access the Miraculous either.

Lila still manages to steal the Butterfly during the fight and as neither side considers her an ally, she can still use it. But when Ladybug and co seem to disappear, she doesn't utilize it to become Chrysalis and just. Continues on doing other things for a while.

Some 20-odd years later we get the nextgens. The Adrienette kiddos find the Miraculous and decide to go for a little joyride thinking they won't get noticed. THey get noticed and people think the Heroes are back.

Lila sees the news and for various reasons feels that her unfinished business with the Miraculous and with Ladybug in particular will help fill the void in her life. So she takes up the role of Chrysalis and starts sending out Akumas.

As the adults are still locked out of the Miraculous, the kiddos get to play Hero now.

The two other exceptions to the Wish locking people out are

1.) Alix. She was outside of the Timeline when this happened and thus wasn't effected.

2.) Chloé. Due to a combination of the range of the powers(she was outside of Paris at the time) and the fact that neither side considered her an ally anymore, the Wish didn't effect her.

I think I filled out a version of this on my own once, just for fun without posting, but I hadn't looked at it in a while and it was fun to update!

■ Basics

Name: Her smile feels a little practiced but genuine. "Aja Verdona. Please, do not stick a 'Commander' or 'Master Jedi' in there unless it's not a formal or life or death situation, and Throne-breaker is just a title everyone likes calling me because of the Tenebrae fights. My name is Aja, thanks."

Are you single? Aja's expression remains mostly the same, but there's the faintest hint of pink creeping into her cheeks. "I, uh, I mean, I am a Jedi, so it's... yes." She coughs, shifting in her seat with her nose slightly wrinkled. "Though honestly, I don't know if I'm that much of a Jedi-Jedi now, in the, uh, official sense. It's complicated. So I suppose it wouldn't get in the way of anything like that? Not that it matters. It doesn't. It's all good." She takes a deep breath to recover and shrugs, awkward. "I am single."

Birthplace? "An artists' hermitage in the Gallo Mountains, tucked away in Naboo's Lake Country. A combination of being so young when I left and some of the subsequent traumas in my youth have made my memories of it hazy." For a second, Aja's face turns almost dreamy, eyes closed as her lips curve up in a tiny smile. "But I can remember the water lapping up by the canal edge, glittering in the sun. And the millaflowers that grew on the slopes swaying in the light breeze. It was beautiful."

Hair color? "Dark brown." Aja laughs. "Well, mostly. I wouldn't be surprised if there's some early grays hiding in there nowadays." Her smile falters, turns a little awkward, and she brushes her white-streaked forelock out of her eyes. "The, uh, the white is from Valkorian. Little parting gift from when we finally got him out of my head. Doesn't bother me really, I just feel a little weird trying to explain it sometimes."

Eye color? "Green. Kira said they're leaf-colored, I always liked that description." Aja blushes slightly. "There's, um, there's a different shade green it reminds me of now, but saying it out loud feels a little silly."

Birthday? Aja's smile turns awkward. "Complicated. I was so little when I left Naboo that I don't remember when it was beyond "middle of Lake Country summer". The hermitage didn't keep great medical records, either, and anything they had on me got lost at Coruscant, so no luck there. Kira decided to declare my new birthday was the day I broke free of Vitiate's mind control about a decade back. Felt as good a day as any to pick."

Gender? "Female."

Mood? Aja sighs. "I am... hanging in there. Have a lot going on right now." She twists the smile on tighter. "Don't worry about it, though, I'm fine. Happy and ready to continue the interview."

Are you happy? Aja pauses for a moment. The practiced smile is still there, but there's something flickering behind her eyes. "In many ways, yes. But I'm... very tired, too."

Are you angry? "I don't know. I'm just... tired."

Summer/Winter? "Summers. Warm days by the water bring back happy... well, I don't think they're memories really, but... feelings of them, or impressions, I guess? Memories of memories?" Her mood shifts to wry and amused. "Plus, I traveled around a lot as a Padawan, and trust me, when you're camped in the middle of karkin' farkin' nowhere trailing some Sith relic excavation team, snow up to your rear end and you can't build a fire because you're trying to remain undetected, you long for a warm summer night."

Morning/Afternoon? Aja grins mischievously. "I annoy so many people because I'm apparently, to quote Lana here, 'an incorrigible, accursed morning person'." She shrugs. "It was just because I got in the habit of dawn-to-sunrise meditation with one of my former masters, Karoli, but nowadays? My day to day schedule starts at 0800 and goes to 1900 and I am always on call in case of an emergency. I like that quiet time to catch my breath before I have to start my day."

■ Eight things about your love life

Are you in love? Aja's face flushes scarlet. "Wait, I thought this was like a "get to know the Commander" fluff piece kind of interview, not—I—well, I, uh..." she clears her throat, still red-faced and smiling through the nerves as she twists her fingers in her lap. "I don't know, exactly? I've never had... feelings of that kind before. So it's all really new and confusing, and I'm playing it all by ear as best I can. I think I'll know when I know, but I don't know right now, if that makes sense." She winces. "Please don't tell anybody. I already don't have much of a private life. I'd like to have something good to keep to myself for a while."

Who ended your last relationship? Aja shrugs. "Nobody. I haven't had one before, that's why I'm so... weird about all this, I guess."

Have you ever broken someone's heart? Aja shifts uncomfortably in her seat, a troubled look flickering in her eyes. Her throat bobs as she swallows. "Not in the romantic sense, but... yes. More than a few people, I think. It's been a long road and I've made a lot of mistakes on it." When she looks back up, there's an earnestness in her eyes. "But I'm trying to do better, always. I promise you that."

Are you afraid of commitments? "Not really." Aja leans back in her seat and laughs, a bit wry. "I don't think I'd be leading something like the Alliance if I was afraid of committing all of myself to something." She rubs the back of her neck and exhales a soft sigh. "Though I think sometimes I commit all of myself to something too much, y'know? I don't give myself a lot of space to just be myself, let alone just be myself with someone else."

Have you hugged someone within the last week? "I hug Teeseven all the time. Screw anyone who says it's weird, Teeseven is the best, he deserves a hug. I think I hugged Kira after she consulted on a Darth Nul thing the other day. And I gave Vega a side-hug after she conquered a complicated Force trick she'd been struggling with yesterday. She's working hard to master super-precise stuff because it doesn't come very easily to her, I'm proud."

Have you ever had a secret admirer? Aja tips her head back, shaking it as she cackles. "Admirer, yes. Secret, no. Though he did finally get the message I wasn't interested and stepped back. We're great friends now that all that's out of the way, no one I trust more to patch me up after a fight." She leans her head back forward and stops to think for a heartbeat, and then her eyes dart sideways as she brushes some hair out of her eyes again. "I... might have another, but, um, let's keep that between us until I can figure things out, yeah?"

■ Six choices

Love or lust? Aja coughs, awkward, eyes flicking away again as a blush creeps into her cheeks. "Love."

Iced tea or lemonade? "Being raised in the Jedi Order means you get hooked on tea from a young age. But Admiral Daerunn introduced me to iced Gatalentan tea and now I'm addicted, curse the man."

Cats or dogs? "Do I have to pick? That's not fair, don't make me pick between my babies."

A few best friends or many regular friends? "Is both not a good thing? Because I've ended up with both and I'm quite content." Aja pauses to think about it, cocking her head to one side. "I think I prefer having a small circle in a lot of ways, though. Not to the point of hating the wider one, just... it can be a lot."

Wild night out or romantic night in? She clears her throat. "I, uh, well... I wouldn't mind staying in, but it doesn't have to be... that. I'm good just sitting and watching a holovid."

Day or night? "Day. Definitely day." Aja shifts uncomfortably in her chair, eyes averted. "I... don't like the dark."

Been caught sneaking out? Her averted eyes grow small and any semblance of the polite smile on her face is completely gone for a moment. "Once. Uh, on Alderaan. It was less sneaking out and more trying to tag along in secret." She swallows hard. "Orgus, my master, he caught me and made me stay back. I, uh..." Aja clears her throat again, voice soft. "...can we move on to the next question?"

Fell up/down the stairs? Her face flickers with mild relief at the subject change. "I don't think so. There's been some times I stumbled when I had my mind somewhere else, but I've never actually fallen." She frowns, blankly. "How do you fall up stairs, though?"

Wanted something/someone so badly it hurt? Aja clenches her mouth shut tightly, a muscle visibly jumping in her jaw. Her eyes drift down to her lap. "Yes. It's, um... a bit heavy to get into here, though, so... let's keep it rolling, yeah?"

Wanted to disappear? The expression grows even more distant. "Yes. Very much, yes."

Smile or eyes? "We're doing romance stuff again? Oh, boy. Uh..." Aja blushes deeply and she ducks her head, grinning to herself. "Both, kind of. But the smile is the one that keeps getting to me, so..."

Hookup or relationship? Aja's eyes widen, and she looks a bit like a uxibeast in headlights. "I, um... relationship, I suppose? Can I have some slightly less invasive questions, please?"

Do you and your family get along? She looks visibly relieved and then laughs wryly to herself. "Biological, I don't remember. But my chosen family? Oh, we are an absolute, ever-changing, always-squabbling mess." She grins. "I wouldn't have it any other way."

Would you say you have a "messed up" life? Aja stares blankly for a moment before biting her lip to stifle a snicker. "Yeah. Yeah, I would say that, definitely."

Have you ever run away from home? "No. Not unless you count joining the Order, but my parents approved it, I remember that." Aja cocks her head, smiling wistfully. "Honestly, ever since the carbonite stint, I feel like part of me has been trying to run back home, in a way. I think I'm close to getting there, but it's so very different now."

Have you ever gotten kicked out? Aja frowns thoughtfully. "Saresh threatened to kick me out of some joint operation strategy meetings once or twice, back when I was the Order's Battlemaster. Said it was for vehemently disagreeing with her. Does that count?"

■ Friends

Do you secretly hate one of your friends? Aja's face twists into an absolutely bewildered expression, eyebrows furrowed, nose wrinkled, and lips pursed. "I don't understand this question. And honestly, I don't think I want to. Why in Malachor's name would I pretend someone I don't like is my friend? That just sounds... cruel, and catty, and such a waste of energy. No thanks."

Do you consider all your friends good? "I consider them as trying to be, if they're my friend. Or, trying to do good, if they don't think of themselves as good." Aja tilts her head to one side, a thoughtful expression on her face. "I see nuance in it now that I didn't when I was younger—good's not what you are, it's what you choose to do, y'know?"

Who is your best friend? Aja laughs. "I don't know if I can claim a singular person for that role. Teeseven's the best, and Kira, Theron and Lana are my people, if that makes sense—we've been through so much together that calling them friend doesn't feel like enough, but it's not romantic, so they're just... my people. I couldn't see myself being able to do any of this without them."

Who knows everything about you? The smile flickers and Aja seems to shrink a little bit, expression hard to read. "I... well, Kira did, once, but... it's complicated, I think. Are... are we done here? Good. Sorry to end it on such a downer, I'm just—I don't want to talk about that. This was fun."

She stands up to leave, nodding politely in farewell, and glances at her comm as she goes, sighing in a way that sounds both weary and content at the same time. The break was nice, but now back to work.

You‘re so right, some people in the ml fandom are so… sensitive (for the lack of a better world) when it comes to opinions that aren‘t exactly theirs. Though I‘d say the fandom has such a special case of this because interpretations of character beats and plot points etc. are interpreted in wildly different ways by everyone. Cutesy flirting vs SA, redemption vs damnation, which character has the better moral and so much more. Combined with how attaches fans are to their faves, any productive discourse is almost impossible. You can‘t dislike a character without someone accusing you of sexism, racism, abuse apologia…

The level of insanity is crazy

My point in the now gone forever post was that S6 lacks goals/hope/positive things to look forward to.

Previously we had the love square antics, the reveal, and taking down Gabe.

Gabe's gone in a way that satisfied nobody. Chrysalis isn't yet a presence.

The rest of the love square was not just let go but actively shown to be bad in order to get to adrinette.

With 4+ more seasons to go and multiple fake outs, no one thinks the reveal is happening anytime soon.

So ... What are we supposed to look forward to?

We need something to look forward to. We need a goal. We need something to dream about like we dreamt before, because oh how we dreamt.

S6 hasn't given us that yet. 'Marinette stops lying to Adrien' doesn't count. Wanting the pain to stop doesn't inspire hope(often)

I hope it gives us that. Kids watching the show now deserve the magic those watching in S1 experienced.

Hmmm ... I'm going to say Lucifer.

I know he's quite well-loved by the fandom, and I can see why. He's a goofy circus ringleader who's obsessed with ducks. And he's also a depressed dad who loves his daughter but doesn't really know what she needs from him. That combination of whimsy and angst is like catnip to some people.

But I haven't seen enough people talking about how he signed off the Exterminations.

He was so jaded by seeing nothing but the most cruel and wicked specimens humanity had to offer that he agreed to let Heaven kill them off.

Charlie points this out herself. When Vaggie suggests talking to her dad to get him to back the Hotel in Episode 5, Charlie counters it with, "He let the Extermination happen to begin with! They just had a meeting and said, 'Go ahead and kill everyone!'"

So why don't more of the fans talk about that? Why don't we have enough essays examining why Lucifer let that happen, and what would need to change for him to see the error of his ways, and whether he'll still have prejudices to work through even in Season 2? Why is it all just Radioapple shenanigans?

Now, it may be that in a future season we'll see a flashback to that meeting, and we'll see Lucifer put under pressure to agree to the Exterminations, or desperately pleading for the Hellborn to be spared because of his daughter, or something like that. That would made me revise my opinion.

Right now, though, I'm going to go ahead and say that he's not the fun devil he's often made out to be.
