when i get into the groove of reading in my native language i "forget" that im reading at all and am able to focus more on the "images in my head" that appear as i go line through line of the story. (not sure if this is a common reading experience; absolutely let me know what it's like for you!) with japanese i still have to sound out the syllables and read very carefully; i actually think that one of the barriers to deeper understanding for me (again, not sure if this is universal for all language-learners) is that i'm not yet completely able to understand which images the words are trying to convey. presumably this should be even easier to do than with english since japanese is a logographic language?

actually my favorite trope in one piece is when something very bad happens and then luffy's typical luck does something to fix it only for luffy to fuck it up and make it even worse and the cycle keeps on repeating a few times over and you're just sitting there wondering when lady luck will just give up on this dumb idiot already, love that

I’m not sure how skz got embedded in my brain but thank you for everyone who helped!! Please support the writer they genuinely make such good stories as you can tell by my desperate plea for help their work lives rent free… I am removing the tags from this post but leaving it up for everyone who wanted to find the fic as well 💕

I don’t remember for sure which skz member it was but I know it wasn’t Felix, Seungmin, or I.N & I don’t think it was bang Chan… (I think it was either Changbin or Hyunjin but also idk)

It was 3 parts but they aren’t super long or anything & it’s a mafia arranged marriage between their fathers & Y/n tries to get __ to like her but he says in the heat of the moment how he has a hit out for her & she runs away (except she doesn’t, she gets kidnapped!) & a different member of skz brings her back.. she’s unconscious for like a week in their bed room & __ is getting scolded about needing to do his work when she wakes up & says something like “do your work”

Other details

She ends up secretly having been the one who made his meals & put flowers in this vase they have… he misses her & there’s a line that’s like “what do you mean she’s not with her parents?” One of the things when she’s kidnapped her remark is ���I must not be his wife then” & they ask her about her ring which she claims she stole & when she’s found she’s still wearing it which warms __ heart a bit. I have more details if you need but I cannot find it despite literally reading it yesterday & I am going nuts 🤡 thank you so much
