Colorblind challenge ft. the ringmaster of the ever

honestly I dunno what I was fretting about with the whole "unrecognizable palette", this turned out surprising really well and... consistent?? (which shouldn't be a total surprise as this WAS my second attempt at the challenge)

I really like how this turned out, reminds me a bit of the difference filters I would put on my art if I'm feeling E X T R A, so ig this would be a challenge complete? Unless you count my laziness to put a substantial amount of palettes to use as a "fail", which I totally did not cut the amount "required" in half because I didn't really need that many + I could NOT be bothered today

This time I wanted to challenge myself and replicate a "colorblind" thing I saw on YouTube, with artists making a color palette, turning the canvas to greyscale and pick the colors only based on their value without knowing exactly which color you're using! To play safe as my first time I only selected the skintone and the eyes but everything else is random and chosen "blindly" 🙏🏻💕 I think it's fitting for our beloved "Blind Melon" Roger 😅

i actually tried this a few days ago and ultimately failed cuz i'm an utter dumbfuck but i'm back baby this looks hideous i'm now convinced either the universe hates me, everyone's extremely lucky with good colors, i'm shit or everyone has FAKED it also don't mind me repainting mista's face at the very end somehow i coloured it a different color than the one on the rest of his skin, um oops

I really liked the colors on the second and third paintings but I think the first has too little contrast and looks a little like a thermal vision picture, but I like how the crown and throne turned out.

Colour blind challenge sun

I had seen this challenge that i really wanted to try. To set your PC to greyscale and then pick colours and draw them. And since I still had the lovely line art that @sand-shark gave me of Sun.

I decided to colour him again with this challenge.

this is what i coloured ( i could only take a picture of the screen, so I bet lesser quality)

And this is how he turned out. He turned into a frog version? ....swamp version? of himself.

I also accidentally overdid the glow on his left eye. But this was so fun to do! I am gonna do this again. Maybe for both moon and eclipse?

I had so much fun with this. However, I did not expect to get variations of purple from the random color palette. I thought I was getting so really weird combo's and then was like, "Oh man, this is so pretty."

Anyway. Had a blast, then a breakdown, bon appetite 💜

i tried that challenge where you draw with your screen on greyscale and dont reveal the colours until the end!! turned out way bluer than i expected but i actually really love it
