the straw hat pirates but i haven't seen one piece
um hi so my brother is REALLY obsessed wih one piece (he comes to recite the one piece lore at least once per day) so i mainly did this for him but also decided to share it here since i know how funny it is to see characters depicted by non-fans... hope you enjoy also idk if this is a discourse in the community at all but holy cow how are most of the pre-timeskip outfits/overall looks SOLOING the post-timeskip ones??? it's also funny how post-timeskip everyone decides to show off their chest like you go ho
NAMI!!!! i love her so much idk what they did to her outfit in the post-timeskip
...i know what the fandom is thinkin with these two
i saw a short compilation of clips of robin and chopper having this adorabale mother-son type relationship i found it so wholesome 🤲 also chopper if you need a second parent i volunteer
idiot3idiot
BROOK!!!! he's my brother's favourite and i based his birthday gift on him too :3 i also love him because bones bones bones
added some more characters, this time some of my favourite ones,,, as the disclaimer says i don't condone any bad actions that these characters might've done, i really just like their designs and/or some of the things my brother has told me about them

i have a mad respect for people who are ✨self-taught✨. it might be due to inability to afford expertise or any other reason. it's a thousand times more an achievement, no matter if you are still a novice.

New Skill Series - Crochet Part 6
Hello everyone!
Life is less hectic now which means I have had time to crochet! So we're back to our regularly scheduled programming.
This is Crochet Lesson 5 Take 2! In case you missed it, Take 1 was a bit of a mess. Things went wrong and I had no clue where things went wrong or how to fix them. Thankfully, I do not exist in a vacuum! Both @legendarycollectionjellyfish3 and @caseyscozycorner were kind enough to comment and let me know their thoughts. You were both right! My core problem was my tension. I didn't have to go up a hook size but as seen below I was able to crochet a successful Moss/Linen stitch sample! The reason my first attempt curled was that because my stitches were so tight, I couldn't tell the difference between my chain space and my SC space so I was putting the hook in both instead of just the chain space, therefore dramatically increasing the number of stitches. At least I think that's why it curled. Thank you again for taking a moment to comment on my post because it really encouraged me to relax and try again!
So yeah, here's Linen/Moss stitch take 2! I'm glad I got some outside perspective from more experienced crocheters because I genuinely thought this was going to end up as like 3 failed attempts and then giving up to come back to at a later time. Mainly because I couldn't figure out what went wrong. It's wild to think how much tension makes a difference in a piece. I think I have a better grasp on tension for crochet now but I guess we'll find out as time goes on!

above refers to everything in the poll option directly above (including if that poll also has an above). I'm basically asking where people draw the line

First Principles: I've Always Felt That A Person's Intelligence Is Directly Reflected By the Number of Conflicting Points of View He Can Entertain Simultaneously On the Same Topic
“I’ve always felt that a person’s intelligence is directly reflected by the number of conflicting points of view he can entertain simultaneously on the same topic.” – Abigail Adams, “Letters of Mrs. Adams: The Wife of John Adams”, p.539 — Like many of her time, and the wisest in our own, Abigail Adams understood that the best of education comes from being self-taught. New Skill Series - Crochet Part 3
Hello Hello Everyone!
It's Friday! This not only means that the weekened is soon upon us, but that it's New Skill Series day!🥳🥳 Today I'm going to show you the results of lesson 3: Double Crochet, learnt via this video.
As mentioned last week, I ended up going up a hook size to a 6.0mm hook and it worked a lot better than the 5.5mm hook I'd been using previously. I found that with the bigger hook, it was easier to get the tension right so it's probably that my previous tension issue was due to hook size. Who'd've known.
I'm not sure if it was the bigger hook or the stitch itself but double crochet is my favourite stitch so far. It was really easy for me to pick up and from beginning to end I didn't have any problems. I was also better able to see the stitches, but again, that could've been a hook size problem.
I think it looks pretty good! Excited to learn Triple Crochet next!

Was I the only homeschool that had almost zero parenting involvement in my studies?
Probably not, but I want to know how common it is. Because homeschool is supposed to be with your parents teaching you, yes? Mine didn't??? But then I entered school online, without peers to share anything with. I felt alienated for years
Still do, I'm studying my degree online

magic is writing is cooking is carving is painting is music is math is magic
the condition of the "just right," and the complete inability to explain. showing your work, explaining your sentence; why is it there?
you know why, because it's meant to be there, but how could you ever hope to explain that?
All throughout childhood, while my peers were socializing and making friends, I studied the blade read so many books that I am now almost legally blind, which left me with vast and deeply instinctual understanding of English grammar - and next to no ability to explain how it actually works. Friends will often ask me to proofread their writing and then get very mad when I say things like, "You need to completely reverse this sentence and cut this clause entirely; no, I'm sorry, i don't know why, I just know that the way it is now ITCHES 😭"
Now, what I want to see is a fantasy story where this plays out with MAGICAL grammar. Someone from a backwater town deeply steeped in folk magic arrives at Wizard Uni where all their fellow students are like "What do you mean, we should add another '𝞯∘⋇𝞿' to the incancation because it 'sounds better'? What do you mean, 'it could just be a regional thing'?? WHAT DO YOU MEAN, 'THIS SPELL JUST FEELS LIKE IT NEEDS A LIVE RAT'????"
