Me when I get my hands on 10 cra-Z-art super washable markers also yes I know I can't color inside the lines it's an issue I've had for 17 years believe it or not

I just wanted to use my coloring book to practice shading I don't know how it came out so cool and irl the yellow shading gives it a weird like. Yknow the red blue 3d glasses filter you can put on photos and stuff it's that except yellow like it shouldn't be on paper and instead on a digital screen idk it's really cool and im sad the camera didnt pick it up because my bedroom has shitty lighting

At the age of 10, Rika had been taken under the care of Sakonji Urokodaki, after Giyuu Tomioka found her in the woods, unconscious and bleeding.

She had been attacked by a demon in her home, where her parents were both killed, fighting for their lives and trying to get their daughter to safety. The demon had tried to get to her, but with her quick speed, she out ran him and ran out into the woods, running into the late night until dawn, Having her to pass out due to exhaustion.

After being saved, it was from there she learned about the demon slayer corps. Right then and there, she wanted to be trained and to become a demon slayer. she was willing to become strong, So that she can protect and save other people…So, She trained for two years under urokodakis guidance. within those two years, she looked up to both urokodaki and Giyuu, forming a close bond with the two.

At the age of 13, she went into final selection and officially became a demon slayer. Promising herself and the others that she would become stronger than ever, to fight and protect to those in need.

Rika has regret of not being able to save her parents, which gives her the desire to become strong enough to protect her loved ones (or anyone in general) no matter what. She can't let the same thing happen again and know its all her fault. She blames herself for not being able to save her parents and would push herself intensely to become a demon slayer so no one could experience the pain she felt.

When she’s out and fighting demons, one specifically targeting a family, she is attacking the demon every second she could lay a finger on them and she'd do it all by herself. Even when she's hurt, she'd be too focused on that one demon, blinded by anger, not at the demon but at herself. If she can't save this family or save anyone else, she probably doesn't deserve to be a demon slayer or even be alive…

-She was trained on using water breathing and that was originally gonna be her combat style. but when she met Rengoku and saw him practicing flame breathing, it piqued her interest, and asked him if he could train her, and he agreed. quickly the two formed a strong sibling bond overtime. During those training times, is when she creates Sapphire Blaze Breathing, to suit her more with her slight flexibility and spear combat skills.

- Rika is a fast runner and a bit flexible, she can fight easily and swiftly with her spear.

- She’s actually a very good cook! Happily helps aoi at the butterfly estate with cooking meals.

- She has cold hands and her body temperature is mostly on the slightly cooler side.

- Tends to get bashful when praised or complimented.

Xo Kitty Outfits: Minho and Kitty

I wanna talk about Kitty and Minho’s outfits this season because I think everything they wear makes them look GOOD together

They start the season off dressed completely opposite to each other. Minho is white; Kitty is black. This could represent how there feelings are opposite right now too. Minho is completely in love with Kitty; Kitty has never viewed him in that way.

When there eyes first meet after the plane Kitty is dressed and red and white Minho is dressed in blue and black. Red and blue are complimentary colors, meaning they’ll always look good together (this is why some of the best ships use this color scheme). Red and blue also contrast each other in meaning. Red is, hot, passionate and, loud; Blue is, cold, calm, and subdued. This actually represents their relationship well. Kitty is outgoing sunshine, while, Minho is the pessimistic clouds. Their outfit are opposite but fit together perfectly (like the pair) (Also this is a stretch but Kitty outfit has hints of blue with the overalls and Minhos sweater has hints of red (?) which shows there connection)

During their talk the color palette of there outfits are almost the exact same making them look like a pair. Kitty’s outfit has hints of blue and cooler tone brown that contrast Minho’s warmer brown. Kitty’s outfit is cool and dark; Minho’s is warm and light. They still have opposing feelings for each other, but their emotions aren’t completely opposite anymore.

The kiss boy and girl uniforms directly contrast each other. The girls uniform is dark, cool blue; The boys uniform is light, warm tan. But the uniforms have elements of each other’s color pallets, making them feel cohesive.

In this scene, while, kitty is directly matching Pravienna, her and Minho still look like more of a pair (which makes sense because they spend the bulk of the time together not Kitty and Pravienna) The red of Minho’s jacket matches the red of Kitty’s hair.

In this scene Kitty is wearing the compliment to Minho’s signature color, green. Even when she kisses Yuri her outfit looks better with Minho’s

In the hot tub scene every element of the two’s main color palette this season is present. Minho has the black, blue, and white. Kitty’s outfit is full red. This could also represent the emotion in the scene. Minho’s outfit is calm and quiet, while, Kitty’s outfit is loud and angry. (Also huge stretch but black could represent the unrequited aspect of there love seeing as Kitty is wearing all black when she rejects Minho and Minho TAKES OFF HIS BLACK JACKET to get in the pool and comfort Kitty)

The rain scene has arguably the most iconic Kitty and Minho outfits of the season. It’s what they used in most of the promos and they’re used in the climax of these two’s relationship this season. This makes sense because the outfits are literally perfectly complimentary. Kitty’s outfit is primarily blue and Minho’s is primarily red. Perfection.

In the wet dream, again, every element of the twos color palette is present. Kitty’s outfit is the red and blue; Minho’s is the black. Also, If we’re viewing black as a loose symbol of the unrequited aspect of their relationship then Kitty is literally being confronted by it in the dream, With Minho’s wearing it head to toe.

There are two things of note in this scene’s outfits . One, Minho is introduced to us season one episode one in green; Kitty’s primary/most iconic outfit in season one episode one is blue. So, In a way they’re wearing each other’s color. (Especially Kitty, they really hammer in green being a Minho thing). Two, blue and green are analogous colors, meaning they’re next to each other on the color wheel. After theses outfits they transition into wearing the same colors which could represent them feeling the same way about each other.

Color Guide for matching Festival Genes + Primal Eyes

Now i want to say this is not meant to be some definitive guide. These are just my attempts at matching colors as closely as i could find with what's available on the color wheel currently. Some of which were quite tricky to find a good match for (or is maybe not even the best use for the gene, looking at you Crystalline...). Will list the colors used for the scries above, but I'll also have some notes for some other similar matches or other color ideas. Overall, this was just a fun little project to work on as the genes released, and maybe some will find some use from it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Light: Sanddollar (Flaxen is a very close 2nd, if you want a very slight warmer color. Banana could also pass, but i find it a little too dark compared to the eyes)

Lightning: Robin (This one's tricky since the color IS the lightning rather than the outline, but Robin is bright enough to give the illusion of being white with a matching blue outline. Aqua is a close 2nd, but again is a little to dark in comparison)

Fire: Sunshine (Saffron if you want darker, more orange fire. Marigold if you want a lighter, more yellow fire. Sunshine is the middle ground of these two. All 3 of these match very closely, so up to your personal preference here)

Arcane: Bubblegum (Matching to the little runes. If you want to match to the eyes themselves, Orchid is the closest match without being too dark in color)

Plague: Vermilion (Berry if you want something less egregiously bright. But i do think Vermilion is technically a closer color match, tho both are very close. If you want a color flipped match, Chartreuse matches the colors pretty well, or Crocodile is you want a similar pallet but less bright (and also has a slight bit more red to it's accents). Bonus color: while it doesn't really match the eyes, Red has a very good Plague-y vibe, if you're a fan of the red+green aesthetic)

Earth: Pumpkin (This one has been the most difficult one to match with all the colors going on with both the eyes and genes. But it leads to a bunch of potential options that just kinda almost match. Ultimately tho there's not really a perfect match for these, just go by your own preference. Ginger matches close for a solid color match. For multi-toned picks, some other good options are Caramel, Peach, Ivory, Seafoam, and Cream. Sadly there's not really any colors that adds more pink secondary tones. (also as an added bonus for these: if you want to match with the geode currency used for the festival: teal, ultramarine, and splash are some good picks)

Ice: Eggplant (Indigo if you want just a very slight more saturation, but ultimately the two are nearly indistinguishable from each other. if you want some really dark blue ice in the same hue, Sapphire works well. If you want a lighter ice color: Sky, Periwinkle, Twilight, and Storm are the closest without going just full on white)

Shadow: Grape (Royal or Violet for a more subdued color, tho i find them a little too bright. The strong highlights on this gene make it tricky to match perfectly, especially when we don't have many darker purples as is. But at the same time, you really can't go too wrong with most of the purple range with this gene, it's just a matter of preference)

Wind: Peridot (Not much to say about this one. This color is incredibly spot on. I guess, if you want something a little darker, Pear matches the darker tips of the eyes)

Water: Cornflower (The whole Lapis-to-Sky range works here, for varying degrees of saturation and brightness, but i think overall Cornflower has the best balance out of all of them? (it looks the closest on adult dragons at least). Idk, this one's really tricky too xP And i am once again painfully reminded that we don't really have any good super vibrant colors in the sky blue range T___T All the closest colors are either too green or too faded. Also as a bonus option: If you want a foamy look, Ice and Pistachio work really well for this)

Nature: Orca (I initially thought Peridot would win this one, but then Orca came out of nowhere. Peridot's still another good option tho, the flowers are just a little more on the green side than the ones on the eyes (but they do match with the actual 'eye' part of the eyes). Also for a bonus color, Pearl also looks really nice paired with nature eyes, even tho it does have a lot of purple in the vines. the leaves and flowers still match really well. And as far as i can find, there's not really a good way to match the vines to the vines of the eyes, since that parts seems to stick to darker colors and browns)

OMG hai. Okay so I will be honest I do eyeball it just from my muscle memory on the color wheel bc I’m so used to it by now, that it’s not rlly a thought out choice even tho it should be and I definitely need to study color theory, but these are the ways I help find the right colors for me :]

Aside from that I recommend not getting caught up in “realistic” colors, skin can be saturated, white can be any color you want (blue or green… even pink!) black can be navy, etc. and also I used to look at color pallets religiously for fun, I don’t rlly use them anymore but they rlly helped shape my eye for color scemes! Just don’t get caught up in using ONLY those colors, sometimes it limits you and the characters details. I recommend this blog https://www.tumblr.com/color-palettes

Scrolling thru it used to inspire me w ideas!

looking thru art that inspires you too helps so much! For example I liked how jojos and one piece manga’s colored renders looked and I tried to study them! Finding good color combos and eyeballing them rather than using a color select tool helps so much. It gets you into the habit of finding the colors yourself and knowing where they fall on the color spectrum, making it an easy habit to know what u wanna use without grabbing an image and picking it off from it each time! I hope that makes sense T_T

Takara's treasure!

I've been missing them a lot, so I just finished rewatching the whole series, with so many thoughts and feelings, I decided to write about some details and things I really like about the drama and some interpretations!

Takara leaves the marbles that Taishin gave him in plain sight, away from his collection and in a place where he can always see them. Love that every time he thinks about him, misses him, and always watches them, that Taishin only has eyes for him??? that he wants Taishin with him all the time??? put him in his pocket???

Taishin slowly making his world bigger. How we start with just the photo of Okame-kun, a familiar place, then in EP 3 is the same picture but now with the marble that Takara gives him! New, exciting things, then in the final episode, in his second year of university, he is now more comfortable, he has a new bigger picture frame, his friends, and the picture with Takara now that they are boyfriends, Okame-kun and of course the marble.

Also the parallel of Taishin talking to his mom, between EP 1 and the special episode, how she first tells him to be careful, not to hang out around the "wrong" crowd and in the special how he reassures her that Tokyo is not that scary :')

The scenes that don't appear in the series but are in the opening?hopefully with the new DVD/bluray (˚ ˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥ )づ♡

I love that we get a new pic added with each episode at the ending :')

Every time they kiss, Takara holds Taishin's face/neck, like give Takara a mic, we need answers

The size/height difference, in the manga and drama, nailed it! especially in ep 7 when they enter the ramen shop, like you can barely see Taishin behind Takara. I also love the details in this scene, Takara taking the chair out for Taishin and passing him the chopsticks!!!!

How Takara first leaves the marbles on top of the pouch they came in like he wants Taishin close but the uncertainty, fear(?), he then puts them in another place, closer to him and now in a glass dish, Taishin having a more permanent space in Takara life, he wants Taishin to be close to him despite all!;;; and at the end of the special episode Taishin marbles are now mixed with some of his(?) :')

Taishin wears a lot of blue during all the episodes, the bird that he wanted to show Takara during their first date was a small blue bird that it will you happy if you can see it, perhaps, they didn't see them that day, because the little blue birdy was already at Takara side making him happy. (also the way blue has been part of Takara life too? in his happiest moments! His grandpa is wearing a blue jacket when he gives him the Ramune and the marble, when they go hiking together for the first time, now small Takara is the one wearing a blue jacket)

Takara slowly adding cushions to his bed until it's finally two pillows, I didn't noticed before and thanks to this post (I'm crying, thank you so much for this info) I can't stop thinking about this, the details ಥ‿ಥ

I love that in the drama they gave Taishin buying/wearing the earrings more importance than in the manga, I still can't get over how Takara looked at him at the end of episode 2 (⁠´⁠°⁠ω⁠°⁠｀⁠)

I love Taishin's mom and her radishes, please I need to see her finally giving Takara one, also adored that the radish she didn't give to Taishin childhood friend, Daisuke, made it all the way to Tokyo with Taishin, I laughed so much when I saw it peeking from Taishin bag when he entered the apartment because it was indeed Taishin backpack that she was putting it in lol

Talking more about colors! Is so nice how we get from one pallet of colors for each character until they start mixing together. Takara mostly uses muted colors, Taishin is the opposite with his bright color wheel until we can see Takara wearing brighter colors, while Taishin is using more black/grey, even the cups they drink!

Love their communication and how much they can tell with just their eyes (the director was so right in describing Yoji's eyes as treasures and Eito's as marbles). They make each other so happy and always reassure one another :') <3

Also, just a random fact! Yoji and Eito were the main leads in different music videos for the same artist! Meant to be! Casting director, I hope you had an awesome bonus! (⁠・⁠–⁠・⁠;⁠)⁠ゞ

how do you choose such pleasant colors??

Hello! I'm not sure about what particular part of my coloring interests you, but I'll explain how I color my drawings in general. Here I show how I recently choose colors. For each part, skin, eyes, hair, clothes and even backgroud, i alway pick the opposite color, as you can see on the color wheel. For shadows it's always a cold color, you can pick any, starting from purple to even greenish ones, depends on the mood of your drawing. And for highlight I always choose yellowish-orange and a little bit brighter colors. And that's basically all I do. If u ask about the color pallete and it's intencity, brightness etc, well, here I can't help, it was a very long way for me, you have to train your eyes, also I work as vector illustrator for almost 6 years and my art director helped me a lot to learn about color theory and I don't think I would undertand it myself so well. Now picking colors process is smth subcounsious for me, I just try to keep them all even saturated and a complementary. Hope I helped at least a little bit. But you have to practice A LOT.
