Posting Guidelines
When sending in submissions, please include which Benedict Cumberbatch character you want along with what you want them to say.
Please do your best to use good grammar! It’s okay if you have some mistakes, I can (and will) fix any grammar issues when making the post with your submission!
I’m iffy about doing sensual posts for the real people Benedict Cumberbatch has played (Alan Turing from The Imitation Game, Bill Bulger from Black Mass, Stephen Hawking from Hawking, and Louis Wann from The Electrical Life of Louis Wann) so I may not allow submissions for those characters. I will not allow submissions for Paul Marshall (Benedict’s rapist character in Atonement). Benedict’s other characters (yes, even the animal/creature characters) are fair game though!
Despite the blog’s name and description of being sensual, I do accept SFW submissions as well as NSFW submissions!

A Blackhawk, Adder, Mad Dog, Dragonfly and Summoner from my Ghost Bear unit, the Clawtake.
Newly minted Star Commander Jehan recognized in the early days of Operation: Revival that the strict traditions of the Clans were a hindrance in the fight against the Inner Sphere, and that should the Clans be successful they would need to integrate Spheroid warriors, with their own traditions and tactics, into Clan Toumans.
His opinion was sufficiently well argued, and the ensuing trials sufficiently well-fought that he was instructed to form a unit to beat the Spheroids at their own game. His initial star was filled with Warriors almost of Sohlama age, with the intent being that they would be replaced with Abtahka.
The plan worked, and the unit came to be known as the Clawtake, after the trophies claimed after a successful Clawing ritual. Furthermore, it led to Jehan being promoted as the unit grew and sponsored to the MacKenzie Bloodright.
It was only after the fact that my spouse pointed out I'd painted them in the colours of the Asexual Flag.

These sound fun. Ask away
So my problem with most ‘get to know your character’ questioneers is that they’re full of questions that just aren’t that important (what color eyes do they have) too hard to answer right away (what is their greatest fear) or are just impossible to answer (what is their favorite movie.) Like no one has one single favorite movie. And even if they do the answer changes.
If I’m doing this exercise, I want 7-10 questions to get the character feeling real in my head. So I thought I’d share the ones that get me (and my students) good results:
What is the character’s go-to drink order? (this one gets into how do they like to be publicly perceived, because there is always some level of theatricality to ordering drinks at a bar/resturant)
What is their grooming routine? (how do they treat themselves in private)
What was their most expensive purchase/where does their disposable income go? (Gets you thinking about socio-economic class, values, and how they spend their leisure time)
Do they have any scars or tattoos? (good way to get into literal backstory)
What was the last time they cried, and under what circumstances? (Good way to get some *emotional* backstory in.)
Are they an oldest, middle, youngest or only child? (This one might be a me thing, because I LOVE writing/reading about family dynamics, but knowing what kinds of things were ‘normal’ for them growing up is important.)
Describe the shoes they’re wearing. (This is a big catch all, gets into money, taste, practicality, level of wear, level of repair, literally what kind of shoes they require to live their life.)
Describe the place where they sleep. (ie what does their safe space look like. How much (or how little) care / decoration / personal touch goes into it.)
What is their favorite holiday? (How do they relate to their culture/outside world. Also fun is least favorite holiday.)
What objects do they always carry around with them? (What do they need for their normal, day-to-day routine? What does ‘normal’ even look like for them.)

Star Colonel Jehan MacKenzie, reporting for duty, Commanding General. I understand we are still tasked with taking the dropport, in concert with Star Captain Tseng and her bondsmen? Also, I do not suppose I could sit? It has been a long run from Kinship, and my ribs are complaining vociferously.
Certainly, Jehan, please, come in.

On 13th April 1719 a small Spanish force, believing itself to be part of a much larger invasion planned for England to return the Jacobites to power, landed in Loch Duich, east of the site of what is now Kyle of Lochalsh.
The little known 'Little Rising’, saw a force of 300 Spanish soldiers land and combine with less than a thousand Highlanders, under George Keith, the 10th Earl of Marischal, William Mackenzie, the 5th Earl of Seaforth Lord George Murray and John Cameron of Lochiel.
The plan had been hatched by King Philip of Spain and Italian Cardinal Alberoni as a diversion to help in the campaign to restore Spanish power and territories ceded to the British following the Treaty of Utrecht. The Spanish force should have been much larger, but much of it had been destroyed by a storm. Added to this Highlanders did not join the Jacobites in the expected numbers, However, the Jacobites made their base at Eilean Donan Castle and intended to capture Inverness. Unfortunately, Hanoverian ships shelled the castle and the only battle was at Glen Shiel two months later when the Jacobites were defeated by a Government army led by General Joseph Wightman.
This uprising is often overlooked, the only “major” action was on June 10th at the Battle of Battle of Glen Shiel, more of that in a couple of months.
A wee added note to this, it was during this time that Eilean Donan was destroyed by Government ships bombarding it the ruined castle was abandoned until 1912 when it was purchased by Lieutenant-Colonel John MacRae-Gilstrap. Rebuilding was undertaken between 1914 and 1932 and it was at this time that a bridge was built to link the island to the shore. The pics shows how the castle looked in the two centuries between these events and the restoration, and the ruin, as it was.

It has always struck me that an insistence on the Warrior Caste focusing solely on, well, war. Leads to a certain inflexibility of thought.
It is for this reason that I approve whole-heartedly of the Sea Fox tradition of involvement by their Warrior caste in mercantile matters. And also the reason I encourage all the Warriors under my command to spend time upon their Great Work.
I myself undertook a study of leatherworking. My dress uniform includes a short cape I made myself from my own personal Clawtake, the pelt of the Ghost Bear slain in my Clawing ritual.

NCIS’ predecessor will at last be available to stream in its entirety.
Prime Video will host all 10 seasons of JAG beginning Monday, July 1. Whereas current rights holder Paramount+ only has select episodes, a source tells TVLine that Amazon has licensed the rights to every episode of the Navy drama — so, barring any operational delays, all 227 installments will be available to binge ahead of Independence Day.
One-and-done for NBC, the military procedural first launched in 1995 and found a new home on CBS the following year, where it would run for nine more seasons and spawn NCIS, which itself has generated five spinoffs (including NCIS: New Orleans, NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: Hawai’i, NCIS: Sydney and the upcoming NCIS: Origins).
For the uninitiated: JAG followed judge advocates (aka uniformed lawyers) employed by the Department of the Navy’s Office of the Judge Advocate General. David James Elliot starred as Navy Captain Harmon Rabb Jr., while Catherine Bell, who joined the military procedural in Season 2, played Lieutenant Colonel Sarah “Mac” MacKenzie.
Fourteen years after JAG’s 2005 finale, Elliot and Bell reprised their roles as Harm and Mac for a three-episode arc on NCIS: L.A.

🏆⛓️🔮 for Jehan!
You ask if I am Bloodnamed, and to this I answer that I was sponsored to the MacKenzie Bloodhouse shortly before the Trial of Tukayyid, on the strength of the successes I had using the tactics of Spheroid warriors against them.
You ask if I have taken many Bondsmen and to this I answer that it is the strength of the Clawtake that many of our warriors are Abtahka, former bondsmen taken from the finest warriors to stand against us.
As for my opinion of the Inner Sphere, I find that the Spheroids dwell amidst an embarrassment of riches, that their leadership seem intent on squandering. It is a far cry from the careful husbandry of resources that the Great Father insisted the Clans practice.
I hope this answers your questions, Quiaff?

Admiral Chegwidden: Rabb did what?!?
Bud: The hospital wouldn’t let him visit Colonel MacKenzie since she’s still recovering from her injuries. The Commander was told that, unless he himself was also injured, he wasn’t allowed to stay. So, he punched himself in the face and told the hospital staff that he was injured, so therefore he could stay.
Admiral Chegwidden: Well, you have to admire his… dedication I suppose.
