Jotaro, Kakyoin, Polnareff and y/n all collectively rent a house near their university. It's somewhere in the US.

Joseph and Suzie have an open marriage because she wanted a few side pieces but Joseph turned into a massive slut

DIO and Jonathan are vampires. Diego is DIO's cousin who just shows up sometimes.

Josuke isn't Joseph's son, he's a distant relation of Jonathan's but everyone just calls him cousin. He started a cult for the sole purpose of performing "miracle healings" with Crazy Diamond

Stands exist here but nobody really cares about fighting or world domination or anything

The Pillarmen are like, cryptids. Everyone knows they're there somewhere but nobody messes with them either because Joseph tried and came back missing half an arm

Morioh is still a hub for peaceful stand users

Kira moved to the US because it's easier to fit in with nutjobs like Americans

He hasn't been caught yet

Josuke travels a lot for Cult Reasons™

Golden Wind and Stone Ocean haven't happened

Dio has three toddlers and an infant to look after because he didn't practice safe sex and the mothers wanted nothing to do with him

Giorno is the baby

He tries very hard to be a good dad

Jonathan helps

Caesar's alive because fuck you

He's Joseph's other partner and tries to keep him responsible

Kakyoin's English is better than Jotaro and Polnareff's

Joseph found Shizuka in a box in an alley near his and Suzie's main house in Manhattan and they both absolutely dote on her

Abdul and Polnareff are dating and everyone knows that but Polnareff

Abdul visits the house like, all the time

He practically lives there

Polnareff and Kakyoin are like, total gym rats

Jotaro is just Like That™

Iggy, Petshop, Coco Jumbo, Stray Cat, and Danny are all lovingly cared for by Jonathan

They talk shit about DIO all the time

Bucciarati is in the middle of Doing Normal Tweenager Things™ in Napoli

Jotaro actually really likes dinosaurs and likes Diego more than DIO, which DIO really hates

Abdul is really into electric swing and teaches Polnareff swing dancing

Jotaro drinks tea like a fish, he hardly ever drinks water, just tea

Diavolo and his nonsense is happening in Italy so it's not a problem until later

another Vital AU hunter-and-camila thought from this morning was a thought of, like. camila very very very gently and carefully explaining that she'd like luz to get a basic physical done by a doctor in the human realm, because luz has not been seen by a human doctor since she was four and is overdue for ten million vaccines and desperately needs bloodwork to check her vitamin and thyroid levels, etc, etc, etc, and hunter is like. visibly freaked out and upset by this. bc he is SO afraid of strangers hurting luz.

anyway. that's all pretty much expected, on account of The Horrors.

what got me in my feelings was the thought of camila telling hunter that she has a lot of the same worries, and that she Knows not all human healers have good intentions, and that she Promises she'll take that into account when finding one for luz. because she does not want luz to get hurt.

hunter, naturally, is like "how.... do you know that....?" and camila is like ay dios mio. HOW do i explain medical racism or the united states..... to a boy.... with no concept of racism or the united states.....

Kim has a chipped tooth , but the chipping is inside , and very very small. It can't be seen and he won't get it fixed.

It's a souvenir from the very first time he defeated Chan on hand to hand combat. Even Chan doesn't know that, THAT hit, did so much damage.

Chay on the other hand , knows.

After their first kiss on his shaggy old couch , and the many more that followed that night , he could wax poetry about all the edges and softness of every single crevice on Kim's mouth. He had whimpered when it accidentally grazed his lips , and had grabbed onto Kim's shoulders at the time.

But after that one night Chay never got to kiss Kim again. He never saw the warmth in his eyes that melted and re-moulded his entire world. Not even when he begged in front of Kim to tell him some part of whatever they had , was true.

Afterwards when he tried to move on , when he tried to fall into the arms of strangers who creeped all over him lustfully , the kisses never made him * feel*.

They were just a way to distract the minds of these poor replacements , so they wouldn't notice how empty Chay's ministrations were. They always closed their eyes when they kissed , and so Chay's unsatisfied frown went by unnoticed. His anger at the reminder , the lack of friction when they tried to dominate him, only made him pull back to lead their attention elsewhere, which they mistook for throes of passion. Hopefully.

When Chay finally was picked up by Kim at Yok's bar one night , Kim was shocked seeing how very much Chay had to drink , and how lax the security around him had been , especially considering their ward had been inebriated. Chay could barely recognise it was Kim half-carrying him out of the bar. Porsche had mentioned to "Make sure Porchay is being safe , Yok called and said he's drinking now. I know , shocking!" , Kim hadn't expected to end up with whole armful of drunk lanky Chay with flushed face and pouty lips.

Kim decided then and there to take him to his penthouse to sleep it off, so he could lie to Porsche about how drunk he had been and maybe so noone else could see his Chay like that.

Once a slightly sobered up Chay took in the piano that stood against the backdrop of a starlit Bangkok skyline , he tearfully broke down and tried to push Kim's aid away.

Only for them both to end up on the rug overlooking the balcony , holding each other , Kim trying to bask in the aroma that was simply his Porchay , and Chay trying to claw his way into Kim's leather jacket.

Finally , finally; Chay got to taste him again , and his whimpers got louder each time Kim grazed his plump lips with that one chipped tooth.

Some vague part of Chay's consciousness revelled that it couldn't get better than this , for Kim to choose that moment bite his lips with full force and draw blood. Chay started to shake like a scared fawn when Kim's fingers climbed underneath his shirt and headed to his chest.

i honestly have no idea how you judge your fic but my fave captain america fics are the not easily conquered series - pretty canon divergent, as in steve survives ice crash but imo does a really good job of engaging with the canon events and reckoning with how his life would develop in that situation; and if they haven't learned your name - written before cap 3, so entirely canon divergent post-tws, very humorous, contains possibly my favorite natasha of any fic i've read

lmaoo anon are you in my walls bc guess what i just finished reading 😭 i had read the first part of not easily conquered the other day and had mixed feelings about it but this afternoon i was like fuck it i’ll try part 2 and that one was much better. jesus. i literally finished pt 3 not an hour ago and YEAH. still not entirely sure how on board i am with some of it but BOY did the angst hit. i was literally sat there for 100k words going ok so are they gonna get their soft fucking epilogue or not.

“Yep, finally.” 

Lena climbs into bed and crawls over Kara, so she can lay between her girlfriend and the wall. It’s an impossibly tight fit— the two of them on Kara’s twin-sized mattress. It’s almost comical to look at the consolidation of their limbs and how they keep from toppling off either side.

But Lena doesn’t care. She likes being squished between Kara and the bricks. She imagines it’s what a Temple Grandin hug would feel like.

“It only took five hours,” she adds. “Which is the shortest amount of time I’ve ever spent on a lab.”

Kara bites back a laugh. “Only.”

“Yeah.” 

Lena nuzzles her head into Kara’s shirt, humming to herself as Kara picks up the Switch she’s set on her stomach, and turns it on again. 

“You deserve a little game break,” Kara says. “And a little treat.”

“A little treat?” Lena raises an eyebrow. She curls in closer to Kara. “What does that mean?” 

“You know, like a fun little drink or something. A reward for finishing your assignment,” Kara explains. 

Lena contemplates it. 

She’s never used any rewards system before. Unless Lillians ‘complete your work and you won’t be physically punished’ rules counted.

“But I didn’t do anything impressive,” she says after a moment. “Typically a reward indicates you’ve accomplished something meaningful. By doing my schoolwork I’m just… doing what I’m supposed to do.” 

“Yeah, but it isn’t about doing something incredible. It’s about giving yourself something nice after finishing a hard task. So you have something to look forward to.” 

“Oh.” 

Lena threads her arm with Karas. From the way she lowers her brow, Kara can imagine the gears beginning to turn in her head. 

“So,” Kara asks after a moment. “What would your ideal little treat be?” 

“Napping while you play Animal Crossing?” 

“You’re not getting this,” Kara teases. “The treat is supposed to be physical. Like dessert or something.”

“Okay…” Lena hesitates. “Nap with you and then get coffees?”

“Yes!” Kara exclaims, smiling from ear to ear. “That’s perfect.”
