Today has been very eventful you guys. I sadly did not take any pics tho. But I took Autumn out with me (along with my datemate of course) to a tourist town, which is a 30min drive from where I live, that's famous for having witch stuff and huge for celebrating Halloween. While there we found so many amazing plushies, including some super cute and unusual animals from the brand Miyoni by Aurora, the largest selection of Palm Pals I've ever seen in one place, and a nicknack store half of which I can only describe as Jellycat Valhalla. Yes I came home with some new friends. I adopted a very fluffy rooster, 2 precious red pandas, an axolotl, and a jellycat little dexter dragon
#the rooster and one red panda are by Miyoni. the other red panda and the axo are palm pals#I actually wasn't gonna get the little dexter dragon so my datemate got it for me instead#not that I didn't have the money I just couldn't justify getting it. but my datemate saw how excited I was to see it irl#so he bought it. Im def not complaining#ik I said recently that Im overwhelmed by my collection and have very little if no room which is true#but all the plush I got were smaller and I thought about them for 20 minutes each before buying#I didn't get them impulsively. otherwise I'd have come home with multiple jellycats instead#but I've been wanting to expand my collection of red pands (they're hard to find in person) and the 2 I got are incredibly cute#especially the miyoni one. I LOVE stimming with her tail and she's got the most precious face. she's my fave red panda in my collection now#and the axo is very small. she fits on my bed. the rooster I probably didn't need but I've been wanting to add a chicken plush to my#collection for a while. and he just spoke to me. he's very fluffy#these plush will remain in my collection when I go thru the purge because I genuinely really love them n its not just new possession#type of love. I will show you all pics later and you will see#anyways happy Halloween everyone I gotta go get over being stuck in the freezing cold and rain for 2 hours#after waiting for lyft to select a driver to come take us home#my poor fingers amd thighs are so cold rn#viti shoosh

An unexpected role | cl16
Summary: You revealed your little secret to your date, you didn't expect he would take it so well.
Warning: fluffy Charles, step dad!Charles, some tears while storytelling.
a/n: This is a little long story, but I hope you like it! Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7 Part 8 Part 9
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You never thought you'd go back to dating after the way your last relationship ended, which wasn't in a pleasant way... But here you were, in a coffee shop with a guy who was a known friend to your bestie, Lola, what seemed strange to you is that you never heard her talk about him... And obviously she hardly talked about him, since he is a racing driver.
To your surprise the date was going very well, you seemed to be in a fairy tale or something similar, you had a good feeling in your chest and it had been a long time since you had felt that way with someone.
“But I'm done talking about myself... Tell me more about yourself” He said while giving you a little smile, he told you about his races and that seemed very interesting to you, you used to be a Formula One fan when you were a little girl you watched the races with your father.
You let out a small sigh. "About me? I don't know what you would like to know about me, I don't think I have a very interesting life compared to yours.”
He denied while smiling. “You can tell me anything about yourself and I will find it very interesting.”
As if by fate, your cell phone, which was on the table, turned on showing a message from Lola, she was taking care of your little two-year-old girl Lily. The message said: “She just wanted to send her mama some kisses 😘” maybe she sent you a gif of your little daughter blowing kisses at the camera... You smiled a little when you saw the notification, what you didn't realize was the look of a certain green-eyed Monegasque who was also looking at the screen with curiosity.
“Um... Tell me you didn't see my screen, did you?” you said a little fearfully.
“I'll just tell you that I saw what was necessary... But now I am curious to know who that person is who sent you kisses” He tilted his head a little. “Do you have someone waiting for you at home?”
You took a breath, this wasn't the way you wanted him to know. “Actually... Yes, I have a little person waiting for me at home.”
You took courage and spoke again. “This wasn’t the way I wanted to tell you this, but,” you said with trembling hands. “I'm a single mom.”
You narrowed your eyes, expecting the worst possible reaction, perhaps he would get up from the table and leave without wanting to know more about you for the rest of his life, but you didn't expect his hand to rest on yours in a gesture that filled your heart.
“Wow... That's unexpected, but... Wow, I don't know what to say.” He said while giving you a loving look. “I don't want to sound nosy but you do have an interesting life.”
“Yes, well, dealing with a two-year-old little girl is not easy at all... But I wouldn't change it for anything.”
“Tell me about her… About you two actually.”
Just saying those words was enough to turn you into a first-rate chatterbox, you told him everything about you and Lily, the rollercoaster of emotions with pregnancy, the appointments to the gynecologist, the day she was born and so on, you practically spat out all the information there was and could be about the two of you. But his look of adoration and care did not leave his face, he listened attentively to every word you said to him, it was as if he were collecting data for the future? You didn't know exactly.
“Oh wow, that's totally amazing.” He said while having a small smile on his face. “I noticed you didn't mention her father, did something happen between you? If you don't want to answer, that's fine! I understand, there's no problem at all.”
You sighed again, there were few people who knew what happened between you and your ex, maybe telling him won't hurt.
“Well... He abandoned me when I told him I was pregnant, our relationship lasted almost two years, but when I told him the news, he left but without leaving me a nice little gift, a good blow on the cheek.” You said while chuckled. “And on top of that, my family didn't take the news very well either, they told me such hurtful things that made me feel unprotected and hurt by the people I least expected.” You said as you sobbed a little. “But hey, these are things that happen, right?” You said as you dried a few tears with your hand, but they kept coming, one of his hands rested on your face to dry your tears with his thumb and you smiled weakly.
“Oh God, I'm very sorry, I didn't imagine such a thing would have happened to you... But you are very brave and it shows, well, from what you tell me, that you do what is best for your little Lily." He said and your eyes crystalized again, you wanted to hug him, nobody had never said those beautiful words to you.
“Thank you Charles... I have never been told anything as nice as that.” You whispered.
“It's nothing, pretty. Now you will hear them more often.” He smiled as he winked and you giggled, apparently this date is going to lead to something very precious.
-
“Honey, stay calm baby, mama is trying to comb your hair.” You said as you tried to make Lily's pigtails, but she was a little restless today, excited perhaps.
You had been talking to Charles after that date, and now two weeks after that he is going to meet little Lily, he is taking you both to an ice cream parlor. You had been sending him pictures of her and so on, you talked about everything and at the same time about nothing, it was like an instant connection and that for you was fascinating, considering that he didn't run away from you when you told him everything you experienced with your daughter.
The sound of your apartment's doorbell distracted you, luckily you managed to do your little girl's hair in time.
“Let's see who's waiting for us at the door, little princess.” You said and took her hand, when you opened the door Charles was there with a shy smile and in his hands he had a bouquet of daisies and a little bag.
“Hi cutie” He said with some tenderness and smiled. “Uhm... These are for you... I saw them and I remembered you, I don't know why, maybe because they are pretty like you.” He smiled and extended the bouquet of daisies to you.
“You didn't have to do it Charles," You said as you placed them in a vase of water. “My love, meet a friend, his name is Charles… Say hello darling.” You said to Lily, who was hiding behind your legs.
“H..hi!” Lily stammered, she talks a little, although sometimes she tends to be a non-stop chatterbox, but she's adorable.
“But it's the popular Lily! Your mama has told me a lot about you.” He said with a smile as he crouched down to be level with her. “Look, I brought you something.” He said as he took out a bunny stuffed animal from the bag, Lily's eyes lit up at the presence of the stuffed animal.
“Bunny!” She said as she stretched out her little hands towards the little stuffed animal and took it from Charles's hands.
“How do you say, honey?” You emphasized.
“Thank... You” She said while babbling between laughs, Charles gave her a little smile and a small kiss on her forehead, you can swear that when you saw that your heart melted completely.
“It's nothing little princess!” He said as he looked at you and smiled. “Okay, shall we go? Those ice creams are waiting for us!” He said in an animated tone earning a small jump from Lily. If this were a competition, he would already be ahead by a long shot.
-
After going for ice cream and going to the park for a while, sleep began to take over Lily, both you and she had spent a very fun day with Charles, it's been a long time since you had such a good time, with her you always do your best to do something fun between the two of you.
“Mama... Swleep” She said adorably as she snuggled up next to you.
“Don't worry little one, Charlie is going to take us home, you will soon be sleeping comfortably in your bed." You said as you smiled at your little girl, you turned your head and saw the green-eyed boy smiling as he took your hand.
Sooner than expected you found yourself at the door of your building while trying to lift Lily out of the car.
“Leave it to me, I’ll help you with Lily.” He said and he carefully took Lily from your arms and carried her against his shoulder.
You noticed how natural the scene was and how incredibly comfortable Lily was in his arms, you smiled. Only Lola did those things to help you get out of somewhere with Lily, but seeing him with her in his arms gave you a feeling of familiarity in your chest.
You entered the building and took the elevator until you reached your apartment, when you entered he gave you Lily again and you took her to her room to put her pajamas on, he looked at you tenderly from the door frame, it's incredible how he won Lily's affection so quickly.
“You are ready to dream, little miss!” You said as you placed kisses on her face and she giggled while holding the stuffed bunny that Charles had given her earlier.
“Chas! Chas! Bed!” She said a little enthusiastically towards Charles, your time to tell her a story was approaching.
He approached her bed and she smiled and then you started telling her the respective bedtime story. At the end of telling her the story, you approached her and kissed her goodnight.
“Good night my sunshine! I love you so much” you said as you gave her a kiss and she smiled.
“Chas!” she said towards Charles and he smiled.
“Good night little one! I loved being with you and your mama today.” He said while he gave her a kiss on the forehead and caressed her head.
“Morrow chas?” She asked as she looked at him sleepily.
He smiled and looked at you tenderly, as if he was asking permission or something.
“Only if your mama agrees, darling.” He said and smiled a little.
You sighed and smiled. “It's okay sunshine, Charlie can come tomorrow.”
After saying that she smiled again and you two left the room closing the door behind you, you sighed a little and smiled at him.
“Thank you for this nice evening Charles,” you whispered. “You didn't have to came here and...”
You didn't finish speaking when you felt his lips on yours, it was an unexpected but amazing action in a way. Was it something that was going to happen? Yes, but you didn't expect it to be so soon, maybe he also felt the connection between the three of you.
“I'm not lying to you if I tell you that I want this every day, I mean... I want to go out with you to the most childish place of all, I want to have breakfast with you, play dolls with Lily, be your supporter and your rock.” He said in a whisper. “And I know it's an unexpected role in your lives, but I would really like this... I don't know if you also want the same thing.”
You nodded, you wanted this too, for the first time you felt seen, you felt like someone was listening to you and little Lily and that's something important for you two, because at the end of it all, he was going to gracefully take on the most unexpected role of all... And who knew that a date with your bestie's friend would go so well.

Imagine calling Law ‘Captain-kun’ by accident while helping Bepo with his costume...
“Y/n, I need you to help Shachi with the- are you listening to me?”
You were scrambling around the room gathering varying styles of fabric and materials in light and dark shades. You had noticed the captain of the Polar Tang walk in but you were far too occupied.
“Sorry, I’m in a bit of a rush to work on something for Bepo.” You passed him on the way to the door, absentmindedly pressing a feathered kiss to his cheek. “I’ll help Shachi later, Captain-kun.”
Dashing out as quick as possible, your eyes drew down to the items in your arms, mind wandering to the bear in dire need of your creative assistance.
Scissors, glue, red fabric, kiss…
You nearly bumped into Penguin and a few other crew members in the rush, throwing out your mental list. Rounding the corner, you entered the room where Bepo was waiting. His paws rubbing together nervously as he looked at the various costume items that he had gathered on the floor.
“I’m back. Don’t worry. We’ll patch something great for you to wear at the show.” You assured and added the items in your hand to the small pile. “There’s different kinds of fabric and a leather belt that Shachi wasn’t using.”
“Did the captain see you?” Bepo asked and you knew how he had been denied to attend at first by the stoic leader.
“He was there and saying something about-”
Captain-kun…
You gasped and dropped a roll of ribbon you had been holding, fingers flying to your lips. Heartbeat drumming against your chest, your whole body suddenly felt uncomfortably warm.
How had you been so distracted? He was your temporary Captain and you treated him like a lover who had done this dance many times.
“I called him… I can’t believe I said it out loud.” You buried your face in your hands. How did you let this happen? You were due back to the Thousand Sunny in a few days. You shouldn’t have let these feelings grow.
Bepo’s eyes widened when he pieced it together - you were in love with Trafalgar Law.
“Captain!” He squealed and sped out of the room quicker than your mind could register.
Shit.
Collecting yourself, you rushed out and chased after the damn bear. If he spoke to Law, it would make things so much worse.
Zipping through the corridors, you ran back to the spare room barging through the doors and starling a few other crew members. They looked at you with puzzled expressions before returning to their business. Scanning the area, you saw no trace of fluffy ears or a spotted hat and your stomach dropped.
Where were they? Retracing your steps to outside the door, you turned to the left and stared at an empty corridor.
The library. Law’s usual haunt.
You took off in that direction desperately hoping that you weren’t too late. It was another series of twists and turns aboard the ship and you’d be sure to mention it to the Heart Pirate Captain on your way out.
When you made the last turn, it was a beeline to the library and as you neared, there was a black, white and orange object drawing close.
Bepo. He seemed frightened and was… running away?
Whatever he was up to didn’t matter. As you started to get a clearer sight, you stretched your arms forward with every intention to latch on to the furball when - very suddenly - you were enveloped in a blue light.
~ More imagines here ~
A/n: To be continued? I've actually yet to get to Law in the anime but I've seen so many clips, I just couldn't resist! x
Happy Valentine's Day!

How could it ever work being a Kpop idol when you were forced to hide a part of our identity every day? Well, you managed somehow. Despite the fact that you were a hybrid, JYPE still accepted your audition and allowed you to become a trainee. You felt fortunate that you didn't face direct discrimination from the company, considering you were part of a rare few, an experimental collective, of children that had turned into hybrids against their will. You see, there had once been terrible news of a new outbreak of an autoimmune disease breaking out, during your childhood, so when a vaccination was created, your parents had rushed at the opportunity to make sure you were safe. Little did you know, did anyone know, that it was in fact a scam. The disease - a hoax. The vaccination - contained a serum that caused you to experience genetic mutations and develop physical attributes very similar to a cat, all because of some deceiving scientists that wanted to experiment.
Luckily, you had learnt to love yourself and your feline features. Your fluffy black ears that helped your hearing become more sensitive, and perhaps even more attuned to music, your tail that would swish and perk up anytime you saw your members or somebody you loved, these all became things that you appreciated. It truly showed your strength and determination to not let anybody get you down, particularly when you used to feel like the black sheep, or, black cat, of the family.
You remember that it was not too long after Chan had gathered you all together as a unit, pre-debut, that you decided to reveal this side of you. After all, you could only wear baggy sweatshirts and beanies for so long.
"Guys, can I tell you something?" you spoke up after you were all sat evaluating a dance practice.
"I think we really should practice this dance again, can it wait?" Chan pondered, not wanting to miss any rehearsal time, especially since the new TV debut show was on the horizon.
"Please, it's important," you had urged them all, your future group members, not wanting to withheld this information from them for any longer.
"Ok, sure," Chan nodded and turned his phone off, before everyone was looking at you as you stood up.
"Is everything ok?" Hyunjin frowned.
"Yeah, I just want to share this side of myself to you. I've not been honest," you began, confident in yourself, just unsure about what their reactions would be.
"If we're going to be a group..." Changbin tilted his head.
"-that's why I'm telling you now! Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt you. Umm," you apologised, feeling guilty.
"It's ok," Changbin nodded, seeing the weight of the situation in your eyes.
"Please can you just tell us? The suspense is killing me," Jisung groaned, whining after when Minho smacked him on the back without even looking.
"I don't know how to say it so..." you had taken a deep breath before pulling your beanie off, ruffling your hair back into plsce and ultimately revealing your ears. It had seemed like some sort of headband at first, but seeing the way your ears twitched and pointed at sharp intakes of breath or gasps in the room, showed that they were very real.
Poor Felix was incredibly confused. It was hard enough for the Australian boy to follow the conversation, and even harder to make sense of things as he saw your fluffy cat ears on top of your head.
"What the-" Jeongin's jaw dropped.
"Why are your ears moving like that..." Seungmin was astonished.
"I'm a cat hybrid. There was an experiment gone wrong a while back, masked as a 'cure', a vaccination, when really it was an experiment. So, umm, yeah, I'm sort of like a test subject.." you trailed off as Chan came to stand in front of you, raising his hand slightly.
"Can I touch your ears?" he questioned, which honestly wasn't what you were expecting. Instead, you thought it was time for him to go into his words of wisdom mode, but really even he couldn't avoid his own curiosity, as he waited for your response.
"Oh, yeah sure," you shrugged, a smile working it's way into your face as you felt a soothing scratch and pat to the head. It was so relaxing that you shut your eyes for a moment.
And when you opened your eyes...
"My turn! My turn!" Han was suddenly in front of you, Seungmin and Jeongin surprisingly waiting too.
"Wow, so cute!" Hyunjin was looking at you with the biggest heart eyes, and you could also lightly hear Chan explaining to Felix what had just transpired.
"Cute, haha," Changbin chuckled, stood next to you and observing your reactions.
"So you guys don't find it weird then?" you laugh as you ask, knowing that they were entranced.
"No! Never!" Seungmin shook his head.
"Me?" Felix came up behind Seungmin, half hugging his arm before asking permission to also pet your ears.
"Yes," you smiled reassuringly at the shy Felix.
The only one of the boys who hadn't interacted with you after you revealed your big secret was Minho, and perhaps that was because he simply couldn't comprehend that his fellow band member he had naturally grown protective over was also part cat. His favourite animal by a mile.
"I knew there was something feline about you," Minho hugged you tightly, the only one not to go straight for the ears.
"That's all the approval I needed."
Post revelation, you were able to feel even more relaxed around your members at the dorms, and wow, when they saw your tail, to be frank, they lost their shit. That was a story for another day though. You had more important things to think about them, such as the meeting that had been scheduled with the company before filming began. Understandably, in your opinion, they had found some medication, hybrid suppressants, that would hide your features. Some people would have been offended by the gesture but in reality, you were relieved. You just wanted to debut and you didn't want to take any attention away from the boys with your obvious differences in genetics. Although the first day of taking the pills felt rough, especially with your body having to withdraw physical features, you went through with it, initially explaining to the boys that it's what you wanted. Whether they believed you or not at the time, you weren't sure, until today...
"No way!" you gasped, clutching the blanket for dear life as you sat up from your comfy spot curled up on the sofa. Once again, you had chosen to use your vacation off from work as a chance to binge watch your favourite show, and finally, you had made it to the end.
"Don't roll credits, don't roll credits, don't- NO!" you cried out in disbelief. As if they had just killed off your favourite character. You sobbed, curling into yourself, ears flat against your head and tail curled up against you, like you were trying to protect yourself from the TV screen even though you had already turned it off and thrown the remote away from you in distress.
You hadn't realised that your hybrid features had popped out, not that it would be a problem as you were on break, but you must have forgotten to habitually take your tablets, the ones you bad taken the previous day finally wearing off. Even with the box being on the coffee table in front of you, the idea had left your mind.
It was long forgotten now.
It was a pitiful sight, the way you were trembling as you cried, but with your physical hybrid features also came mental ones, emotional ones, instincts that you couldn't help but follow. That emotional attachment that cats found with their people, happened to you and your favourite TV show. You felt hurt, betrayed, distraught.
"Rori?" Minho was the first to call out in concern, as the boys piled in from their outing at the beach. Yes, Rori, that was your stage name. It was a running joke between you all that Minho adopted Dori and her namesake was because of you. They weren't that dissimilar right?
"What's wrong? What's happening?" Felix called out in confusion, still taking off his sandy shoes by the front door. The boys had wanted you to come along with them, but you hated water, and would much rather laze around in the comfort of your own home.
"Aigoo, your tail is all fluffy," Jeongin patted your head, yet you continued to cry. The eight boys looked between each other in confusion until Jisung spotted the medication on the table and looked at Chan pointedly, hoping he took would connect the dots he had just found.
"Oh, Rori, we thought you didn't like taking the, it's ok. It'll be ok, we'll sort this," Chan rubbed your back gently.
"We can announce it to the fans," Hyunjin suggested, and the others nodded along.
"We'll have a word with the company," Changbin added, their plan already formulating before your very eyes.
"They'll still love you," Jisung didn't like seeing you cry.
"They won't care, you're still the same person," Seungmin spoke up, last to enter the room. He had soon caught onto the situation though, only after rinsing his feet from the sand that lingered. He couldn't barely the itchy feeling.
"What are you talking about?" you sniffled, lifting your head out from your arms and your ears lifted in curiosity.
"Aren't you sad because of, you know, having to take the tablets...?" Chan was confused, so much so that his hand had even stopped it's comforting motions on your back.
"No!!" you cried out, tail fluffing up even more, irritation flaring up ever so slightly as you wished you didn't have to explain yourself. It would much easier if these humans just knew what you wanted!
"Oh," Minho pursed his lips in thought.
"Then what's wrong?" Jeongin urged, eager to hear what was truly wrong.
"-died! It's not fair! They were my favourite and they were so kind and-" you whimpered tearfully, already having flashbacks of the final episode you and just watched.
"It's because of a show?!" Felix rose his eyebrows in surprise, leaning back to try and see your whole face.
"Really?" Seungmin sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"It's not just a show!!!" you wailed louder, tail swishing now as you felt a mix of sadness and annoyance.
"Ok it's not just a show, we know that, chill, kitty," Jisung patted your head but Minho nudged him warningly, knowing you didn't like that nickname.
"Ji-" you huffed.
"But it's definitely not because of the suppressants, right?" Changbin cut you off, which was annoying at first, having being interrupted twice in a row, yet you were appreciative of the change in topic.
"No, no, I don't care about taking them. I'm fine with that," you took a deep breath and wiped your remaining tears away, "I just might need 2-3 business days to recover."

prompt 14 and 30 w/ Lucifer
Dinner with the brothers could never be just dinner. There's always some kind of shenanigan at that table, which is something you grew to expect. Thankfully, it wasn't your turn to cook, but that meant it was your turn to collect Lucifer from his room for dinner.
"Luci, almost dinner time." You knocked on the door to his room, ensure he knew it was you at the door. When you didn't hear a responses, you spoke up. "Are you in there? Dinner soon." You waited to hear his voice again.
"Come in." You faintly heard him. You opened the door to find him doing paperwork as usual. A small smile crossed his tired features.
"Hey there. How's everything going?" You shut the door behind you and took a seat on the arm rest of his chair.
"I could be better. Lord Diavolo had an emergency meeting earlier this evening, so I offered to pick up some of his student council paperwork. As you can see, I haven't even started that pile yet." He gestured to the pile sitting on a sofa in his room, likely untouched.
"Is there anything you won't do for that man?" You playfully rolled your eyes and rested your arm on his shoulder. He couldn't help but smile at you, and made no move to shove you off. In your book, this was a win because if Mammon had done this, he would've been pushed away. You knew this because you'd witnessed it happen before. "Y'know, I think I might be able to help you out with that paperwork, under one condition, of course." You suddenly got an almost devious idea.
"And what is that? You've got this look on your face. I can tell you're thinking quite hard right now." Lucifer chuckled, turned back to his paperwork while he waited for you for your proposal.
"I'll help you if you pay me in cuddles. I'll only accept payment in cuddles, so I hope that works for you." You got up to sit next to the stack of papers for size comparison, which was nearly taller than you. "I'm sure you know how tall this stack is. Taller than an average sized human. It's daunting, but with me by your side, you can work twice as fast, and you get to cuddle with me afterwards. How does that sound?" You grabbed the first paper off the stack, scanning over it.
"You drive a hard bargain, but I can't say no." You stood up to cheer.
"Yes!" You were quick to make your way back over to him, leaving the paper behind.
"You sound excited for someone who just signed up for student council work," he said amused.
"Well, it's with you. Now, it's time for dinner. Asmo cooked tonight, so it'll be good." You used that excuse to grab his hand, to drag him out of the room.
"Alright." He didn't move to remove his hand from yours. The walk to the dining room was filled with your animated recount of your day. It'd hadn't been that interesting of a day, but Lucifer hung onto every word. Once you were at the table, you took your respective seats. He always sat at the head of the table, with Mammon on his right and you on his left. The left used to be Levi's spot, but Lucifer usually had you sit there since your arrival to help curb their arguing.
Dinner was already served when you arrived. For once, you were late. Beel was already scarfing down his food. You began to converse with everyone else, but at some point during the conversation, you felt something brush against your foot. You didn't dare to look down, but you scanned the faces of the people around you to see if anybody was clearly responsible. The shit eating grin on Lucifer's face told you everything you needed to know.
In response, you began to mess with him back, leading to a mini war that ended in a truce with your ankles crossed over his. As soon as you'd cleared up after yourself and were back in the safety of his office, you were quick to confront him.
"Lucifer Morningstar. I never took you for someone who liked to play footsies," you remarked. He gave you a rather mischievous look, pulling up a chair for you beside him to start working. That look alone told you he was ready to play footsies with you again.
"The paperwork won't do itself, now will it?"

Judge of Character | Sebastian Sallow x GN Hufflepuff
(REQUESTS ARE OPEN!)
Word count: 1.2k
Warnings: none! absolute fluffy goodness for my first post on this page c:
Summary: When professor Howin assigns a task on caring of a niffler, Sebastian has a bit of a hard time. That is, until you give him the confidence he had hidden all along.
Tumblr media
“Now, just gently tickle their belly: like this,” professor Howin demonstrated as her finger tips grazed over the nifflers stomach, earning a giggle from the creature. You slowly and gently let your fingertips graze the light brown patch that covered the creatures otherwise dark, chocolate brown colored fur. As your fingertips tickled the beast, it began to wriggle in delight as various coins and rubies began to slip out of their pouch. “Very well done! Ten points to Hufflepuff!” Professor Howin stood by your side as your niffler had sat back up to collect their shiny belongings and also managed to sneak your own personal bracelet clean off your wrist while you were smiling at the professor.
“Oh come on you bloody rat!” You heard a familiar voice shout from the table towards the kneazle pens. “I thought you were supposed to like this, why am I wasting my time with you,” frustrated grunts filled the air as the boy took the creature by its toes and hung it upside down. “Perhaps because you are torturing the poor thing, Sebastian” Ominis spoke up as he tried to stifle a snicker behind his hand. Ominis reached his hand out to feel around the table to cradle his niffler in one hand while he tucked his wand into his robe before gently tickling onto the creature's soft tuft of blue fur. “See?” The blonde boy smirked in Sebastian's general direction, earning a growl of jealousy in response. “You know, Sebastian, they say that creatures are a good judge of character.” Ominis started as he began to laugh through his words.
“Perhaps, you could assist your Slytherin friend with his niffler? I think he needs a more… gentle approach?” professor Howin raised her eyebrows as he forced herself to look away from the scene and back towards you. “Once you have taken care of that, you are free to spend the rest of class time as you’d please. I know you have been wanting to spend some more time with the new baby thestrals.” With a delighted smile and an eager nod in response, you thanked the professor before slowly stalking toward your friends. You gently place a hand on Ominis lower back so as to not startle him as you sneak up on Sebastian. “I thought I heard you struggling over here,” you began as you smiled through your words, placing a hand on Sebastian's shoulder. “Oh Merlin, finally, a voice of reason that Sebastian will actually listen to.” Ominis pressed his hands together in prayer as he lifted his head to the sky. “That bloody rat trusted the one that couldn’t even see it over me, the one that was doing exactly like everyone else did!” Sebastian pouted, looking over to Ominis to see if he had offended him with his spurt of jealousy. “Sebastian, you just need to be more patient. It will learn to trust you; we both did…” Ominis whispered soothingly as he gave his friend a reassuring pat on the back. “Ominis is right, Sebastian. These creatures don’t understand things the way we do. They don’t inherently know that we don’t mean any harm. You have seen the poachers all around in high volumes lately first hand!” You started as you gently slipped the niffler into your hands and nuzzled its beak with your nose. “For all they know, we are no better than those nasty nasty poachers, right?” You spoke in a baby-talk sort of tone to the niffler before pulling back and smiling genuinely at your friends. “Now, hold your hands in a little cup like this,” you held up your hands so he could watch closely, Sebastian shuffling to stand beside you so he could watch your exact movements. “Very good! Now, slowly just let it get used to you before you start moving.” You gently slid the niffler from your hands into his, the creature sniffing his fingers before nuzzling into his palm.
After a few moments, the niffler was in delight as Sebastian began to tickle their light tuft of brown fur. “Look at it! I think they actually like it!” Sebastian's smile gleamed in the dimming sunset as he turned to look at your for approval. “I knew you could do it, you just needed an extra hand.” You smiled and placed your hands under Sebastians, caressing his knuckles with your thumbs. A bright flush of red spread across the boy's cheeks before setting the niffler back onto the table and scratching nervously at the back of his neck. “I’m going to get a head start to the great hall for supper, but I will save a seat for the both of you. Don’t dally on your way back.” Ominis smiled as he retrieved his wand from his robes, the tip flashing red to lead the boy towards the castle. It was clear that your friend knew you wanted a moment alone from the blush now spreading to your cheeks as well. “Would you like to see the new baby thestral? Professor Howin gave me a key to their den so I could give them some food and brush them before the class gets to see them next week. I wouldn’t mind the company.” You insisted, nudging your elbow into Sebastian's arm. The boy smiled and nodded in excitement as he watched you turn towards the den, sheepishly letting his hand brush yours as you walked. You took a deep breath as if to swallow any ounce of courage in the air and let your fingers interlace with him as you walked toward the den, a smile forcing itself to spread across your lips.
“It still hurts me to know that you can see thestrals too,” Sebastian started as he opened the door to the den, letting you walk in first before he quickly trailed behind and let the door close behind him. “That makes two of us. But, it at least makes me happy to be able to see these little guys.” You smiled as you kneeled down, gently stroking the back of the creature's mother before doing the same to the new baby. “Absolutely beautiful and misunderstood creatures.” You muttered to yourself as you smiled at the now yawning baby thestral. “Are all Hufflepuffs this good with beasts? Or was Ominis right about creatures being a good judge of character?” Sebastian chuckled as he knelt down beside you, his hands in his lap. You let out a soft chuckle before grabbing his hand on your own and guiding it to the back of the thestral. “Maybe a bit of both,” you shrugged as you slowly let go of the boy's hand, watching him gently stroke the back of the creature. “I guess even creatures need their own emotional support Hufflepuff,” Sebastian joked as he jokingly poked at your side, earning a wriggle out of you before setting your head on his shoulder. “They will have to find their own, you’re mine.”

All I do is dream of you
wc: 1.3k+
warnings: she/her pronouns for reader
Often, rests. Rarely, she dreams. Even more rare is when she dreams with him.
alt. description: little snippets of y/n as she waits for hypnos to wake up
.
.
.
The woman woke up in a field of flowers. Most of them reached up to around her fingertips, kissing them slightly. Her hands danced to themselves, clenching as she’d look around her and unclenching as she’d realize the state of her hands. It felt so familiar, to be standing in a field of lavender, poppies, and the like; underneath a cottonwood tree.
“Hey there, poppy,” a gentle voice whispered behind her ear. Her heart leapt and she turned to see Hypnos, standing from a distance. Fluffy cloud hair, and all.
She ran over to him. Over tall grassy, greens. Over hills of lavender purple. Over valleys of poppy red. Goodness, there were so many colours around her, around him. She couldn't remember the last time she saw so many in one glance. Her heartbeat ran faster than her legs could afford, and it cascaded up and down in a frantic rhythm.
“Hypnos..!” When was the last time she saw his hair with such familiarity? Cloudlike. Sheeplike. Nostalgic. Just like memories of the House of Hades.
She grasped him, weakly tugging at his hair, his clothes, his duvet, his everything..
“Woah, hey!” He merely giggled, stumbling back from the sudden weight, and yet her heart soared. “It's not like I'm going anywhere, poppy! Not yet, at least.”
She found herself sighing into his duvet, hugging him tight, as if he could disappear the very next moment. “Tell me, Hypnos.. Am I dreaming, or hallucinating?”
He smiled at her, hugging her back and grinning into her hair.
“Both; the best kind,” he whispered, moving to give her a peck on the forehead before returning to embrace her once more.
“I miss you,” she whispered, peppering his sheep-white hair with kisses. Hypnos smiled kindly, softly at her.
“I know,” he sighed into her embrace. “I miss you too.”
“I know.”
They rested under the comfort of a cottonwood tree's shade. Dusty cotton seeds danced lightly around the air like the clouds themselves. Hypnos let out a content sigh, breathing in the nostalgic feel of acceptance, closeness and caring; emotions that his heart spoke out to him; emotions that swam in her eyes with fondness.
He rested his head on her shoulder, while she rested her head on his head. Hypnos could feel her grin atop his head as she fiddled with his hair, braiding it carefree.
He hesitated. It was so lovely, being there with her. He'd been among many dreams, restless and yet never waking. Her dreams, however, were always a place of solace. A rare comfort he could only afford once every blue moon. He moved to the side and brushed his hands across her head, kissing it lightly.
“I've got to go, love..” Hypnos whispered. He aimed his hand with hers and squeezed it.
She interlaced her fingers with his own, rubbing his hand softly. Slowly, she moved to grasp his wrist weakly, kissing his palm. “..Fire more minutes?”
He was so soft.
With a spare hand, he plucked a poppy and placed it behind her ears. His fingers brushed against the edge lightly, and both of them fought off any shivering sensation. “Always, for you.”
She felt her eyes force themselves open as she came to her senses. Her fingers twitched, interlocked in cool, pale-blue hands.
“Back to the Crossroads, I see,” Melionë greeted; saluting, as per usual. “Moonlight guide you.”
She leaned against Hypnos’ unmoving body. It was cold; unresting and yet always at rest. Her heart ached.
His hair was so long.
“Moonlight guide you too, Princess.” She rubbed her eyes, picking up a flower from among Hypnos’ gifted collection of poppy red. She fiddled with it, twisting the flower back and forth.“I just… missed him, is all,” she sighed.
“And I am sure he misses you, too.” The princess gave her lightly furrowed eyebrows, and a hesitant, yet comforting, hand on the shoulder.
She smiled weakly to the princess. “I know.”
“I'll give you a tip,” he spoke, grinning tiredly with his lips as they rested in a field of flowers and colours. Though his eyes showed that same telltale tiredness, they betrayed no grin. They were nervous, awkward, and hadn't been such in quite a while.
“Yes?” She fiddled with his hands.
“It's okay to move on..” his voice shook, raw, squeaky and unsure. (Y/N) tried to meet him in the eyes, but he looked anywhere else. “If you want to.” That was the one sentence he said without err, before they increased in quickness and shakiness. He gulped. “I-I know how hard it is to wait for someone who rarely ever shows up”
“I know.” She said quietly, as her eyes flickered down for but a brief moment. Hypnos felt his heart falling south. “I don't want to, though.” And besides, I have you here,” she kissed the top of his head. “Here,” she pointed to her heart. “And here, at the crossroads. So long as your heart is here with me, I'll always love you. That's okay too, is it not?”
He smiled, heart threatening to spill over. He hugged her as tightly as either of them could afford. “It's more than alright.”
As per habit, she lightly sat down into the brown, earthy hammock; careful not to disturb Hypnos, who laid softly and soundly already, as he had been doing so for years, though she knew she could never wake him up. His breathing was gentle and slow. She heard him snoring softly as she made herself comfortable over the many small red poppies that greeted her like one of their own.
She gently rested one of her hands onto Hypnos’ hands and squeezed gently, before settling to close her eyes and rest for a brief moment.
However, she found that Sleep, as gentle as it is, denied her rest for the next few minutes. It was odd to have her eyes closed and yet not receive any comfort nor repose nor break from the stress of carefully planned rebellion.
Oddly enough, she felt cold hands gradually warm up, for just the slightest amount, as they slowly interlocked with her own.
(Y/N)’s heart stopped.
Then, slowly, it returned. Her heartbeat started by testing the waters, nervous and unsure, awkward and clumsy. Until she blinked, and realized that it ran faster than her legs could afford. Eventually, it cascaded up and down in a frantic rhythm. She fiddled with Hypnos’ fingertips, they fiddled back. Her eyes shot open.
Golden yellow eyes met her own. His shined like native gold; precious and lovely, pure and untarnished. They were rare and dear to her heart; more important than any metals or jewels or precious items, despite the resemblance.
(Y/N) let out a breath she didn't know she was holding.
“Hypnos..!”
Hypnos hummed quickly, feeling her skin for what felt like the first time. “Hey there, poppy,” he said. She held him close and dear; tightly, as if he could fade to dream at any moment, to which he gasped lightly and joked. “Woah, hey there! It's not like I'm going anywhere. Not anymore.”
She wouldn't go, shaking ever so slightly. Whispering in his hair, she let out a shaky sigh. “Tell me, Hypnos..” He rhythmically pat her pillow-soft head, up and down and up and down, until he felt her slow down just the littlest bit. “Am I dreaming, or hallucinating?”
He shifted to hug her with his entirely smiling fondly. “Neither.”
She returned the hug once more before letting go and facing him. Hypnos had to fight back a whine, until he saw the softness of her gentle eyes and melted completely. “I missed you,” she said, looking directly into his eyes.
“I know.” He accepted a quick peck on the cheek from her, before kissing her back chastely on the forehead. “I missed you, too.”

First Kiss (Race 6)
A strollonso AU where 18 year old rookie Lance Stroll falls helplessly in love with the notoriously mean world champion. (1.3k words, angst at first? idk, it gets fluffy) [@v3lnys @biancathecool] {I kept getting ideas while writing this so I stopped like 4 times to write another chapter}
last part - masterlist - next part
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lance made his way onto the paddock, his dad having driven him instead of Nico. After waking up in Fernandos bed after his DNF in San Marino he'd unintentionally avoided the Spaniard for the past week. He didn't remember much past him complaining about Coulthard, all he knew was he woke up in an unfamiliar hotel room with Fernando Alonso asleep peacefully beside him.
He looked gorgeous, obviously, his long hair slightly covering his eyes, chest rising and falling slightly as he breathed, he looked peaceful, Lance could've stayed and stared for hours if reality didn't hit him suddenly.
He was in bed with Fernando. Alcohol was out on a table a few feet away and he could tell he'd had too much to drink the night before, without thinking he collected his things and left as if he was some sex worker the world champion had taken back to his room the night before.
He'd managed to ignore all of the older mans texts, a part of him feeling bad and longing for him while another part was busy worrying about how badly he must've embarrassed himself.
After a week of putting it off there was no way to now, if Fernando didn't speak to him before Quali he most definitely would after.
He walked alone through the paddock, answering short questions here and there before he found a swarm of people who all called his name.
"Lance, Lance Stroll, How do you feel about what Red Bull and David Coulthard have had to say about you this past week?"
Lance thought for a second, wondering if it was a wise choice to answer the question, in the end he decided it couldn't hurt too much "I honestly couldn't care less, I don't care what Red Bull or Coulthard thinks about me, thank you" He nodded slightly before leaving, not having much more to say and not wanting to elaborate on the whole thing
Somehow he'd managed not to run into Fernando even as Quali came to an end, he was set to start the race in 11th, somehow stopping himself from checking where Fernando was starting from.
His luck didn't last long before he was greeted by the same voice as always
"Lancito, will you avoid me forever?" Fernando asked, Lance wasn't sure whether the Spaniard was joking or was truly hurt by what Lance was doing
"Sorry, I've been busy" He lied, not even turning around to look at Fernando
"What is wrong? Did I do something? I am not sure how to fix it if you do not tell me, mi sol" He spoke softly, just like he always did with lance, he entered the Racing Point garage, just trying to get closer to the Canadian, trying to get him to meet his eyes
"It's nothing, I'm just busy" Lance tried to convince Fernando, he wasn't very good at it
"Too busy to talk to me but before I was the only one you'd talk to" Fernando teased, trying anything to figure out what was wrong
Lance tried to hide his embarrassment as he finally looked at Fernando, the only thing he could think about was the morning after the Europen Grand Prix.
"Is this about last week?" Fernando guessed, Lance couldn't help but be slightly annoyed at how the older man was always right "All we did was drink, Lancito, you were upset so I thought you would like drinking alone, no?"
"Yeah, sorry, I- I don't know why I freaked out" He forced out a laugh, trying to make himself feel less awkward talking to Fernando for the first time in a week
"Is okay, Lancito, are you embarrassed because of what you said?"
"What I said?" He echoed, now he was embarrassed, what did he say for Fernando to bring it up so many days later
"About the crash, you were very upset, mi sol" Fernando didn't exactly lie but he knew that wasnt what he meant. If Lance really didn't remember what he had begged of Fernando than maybe he didn't mean it, Fernando was sure his emotions were just hightened.
"Oh" Lance laughed, feeling relieved after Fernando confirmed nothing else was talked about "I'm not embarrassed, I kinda feel like you"
Fernando smiled, patting the Canadians shoulder "Feels good, eh? Getting in a little trouble?"
The two continued talking, both felt as though a weight had been lifted of their shoulders except Fernandos was replaced with another. While he spoke to Lance as if nothing had happened he couldn't help but hear Lances words replaying in his head.
His eyes stayed glued to Lance as he rambled on, the Spaniard wondered if he really did need him, if he truly felt that way, or if it was just drunken words influenced by how he was feeling earlier that day.
The two spoke for a while longer, just catching up as if much had really happened in seven days.
Lance felt better walking into the paddock the next day, arriving with Nico again as if he hadn't spent the last week moping and ignoring everyone (besides his dad, it proved to be harder to ignore your dad-boss than your coworker-friends.)
"Let's hope coulthard keeps his distance today" Nico spoke, breaking the silence between the two
"God, the next time I hear his name I think I'm gonna explode." Lance whined, having been asked about him all week
"Cmon, you know no press is bad press" Nico added, reminding Lance of his dad
"Yeah, yeah. Let's just get ready" The two entered the garage, both almost going straight to their drivers room to get in their fireproofs and race suit
This week was better, David Coulthard qualified last so there was almost no chance in a collision with him, Lance was thankful.
Lance managed to overtake a few times in the race, going from 11th to 9th by the end but he knew it wasn't good enough, neither drivers securing points for the team.
He wasn't upset though, he decided to go to the podium for the first time after the race, excited for Fernando since he just won his home Grand Prix
Fernando looked gorgeous on top, practically beaming as the Spanish anthem played. Fernando was basking in it, the win, his home country, his fans supporting him so loudly with flags and signs, though none of it made him smile as bright as seeing Lance in the crowd below, the Canadians smile shining brighter than anyones.
He stood out, whether it was because Fernando couldn't help but search for him in every crowd or because of his bright pink suit, Fernando didn't care. All that mattered was that he was there, celebrating the Spaniards win as if he hadn't had a disappointing race.
Once he got off the podium he went straight to Lance, not letting him speak before trapping him in a tight hug, he wasn't sure why, he just wanted to.
"Good job, Nando" Lance laughed, hugging the Spaniard back
"Gracias" Fernando spoke into Lances shoulder, feeling as though the pair were on the people in the world. He wasn't sure why he was so happy knowing Lance came down to congratulate him, it just felt good, earlier in the week he was scared it would never be the same between the two because of the past week but he'd managed to save it perfectly, leading to the two in one anothers arms once again which was exactly what the pair wanted.
"You did good, great, amazing, seriously, you led 55 laps and just won your home Grand Prix, you're brilliant" Lance gushed, Fernando raising his head to look at the Canadian
"Is this how you feel when I come to you?" Fernando asked, a smile still plastered on his face, not able to imagine a better end to the race week.

blood has no meaning if you don't have any
wednesday x reader
you meet her parents and she meets yours. although you all shared the same taste of color in life, both of your parents were totally different.
warning: tried to keep it as gender neutral as i could but reader do be masc, arguing, a good old hard bitch slap but fluffy ending!
a/n: writing skills be mid and sometimes confusing but bare with me, i write what's in my head and i don't proofread. we here for pure enjoyment lmaoaoo
Tumblr media
y/ns pov
it's been a couple of months of wednesday and i being together. in a way, we both understand each other perfectly, and every day with her i look forward to more. except for today.
today was the day when parents come onto campus. and we agreed to introduce our families to each other. i am rather excited than nervous to meet her family. the infamous gomez and morticia addams. and her brother pugsley whom she mentioned before. from the stories that i have heard, they don't sound like bad people. they just like dangerous things.
but a part of me was still nervous. you always want to leave a good impression on yourself.
"are you going to keep staring at the wall or..?" i flinched back from being snapped out of a trance. it was my roommate kane who happened to be a zombie. don't know how and don't want to know but anyways.
"i don't know man. i didn't think today was going to be so soon." he gave me a half smile before laying his hand on my shoulder "only two days bro, you can do it," he paused "and if anything were to happen, just dig out and say-" kane was rudely interrupted by the door busting open and the two least people i wanted to see.
"my offspring." my father spoke as he stood before us in all his glory in a clad black suit next to my stepmother. "ever heard of knocking?" i ask in a monotonous tone. his head cocked sideways and with a dead expression he replied to me "know your place and watch who you're talking to." those words made me sit up and automatically hang my head down. it was a signal to my father that i submit. he breathes out with a smirk, "your mother and i discussed you and regarding nevermore and we've decided that you are to come back and be head of the clan." my mother smiles with glee and softly claps her hands in excitement as to where i had no thoughts. how do i process this?
"what?" i say aloud. "you're coming back home." my father says, i look at him with confusion. "why?" i ask "well, im getting old and the clan needs a fit person to lead and it's you," he explains. but it doesn't click. they send me here because i was a troubled child back home and now they want me back?
"that's not happening." i stated. "who are you to make commands." i sat there with nothing to say, my jaw clenched and eyes glaring at the ground. i can hear his feet step closer and then my chin was grabbed and forcefully pulled up to look him in the face. his face showed pure anger and once again i felt like the eight-year-old crying while dad threatened me for stepping out of line. "ever since you've come to this school you have been acting a fool. fix it before i do." he practically threw my chin down and walked. i sat there in silence taking everything that just happened.
"woah..... you okay..." kane hesitantly asked to which i replied with silence. "umm.... i'll just give you space.... feel better bro" and with that, he also left.
just two days.
i gave myself 30 minutes to collect myself before going to meet with wednesday. as i entered the quad, i saw many heads of different varieties. my eyes immediately found wednesday who never failed to stand out. right, where we always met. she met my eyes and my face automatically smiled. when i arrived next to her, she grabbed my hand and pulled me "let's get this over with." in her path, i already see three people who resemble wednesday and you can tell they were family and not even by facial resemblance. her mother was a very tall plump figure, her father was short and stubby and a short male who looked.... friendly.
"mother, father. this is my partner, y/n." her parents' faces lit up with joy "hello, it's so good to finally meet you, i am morticia, her mother." her words came out very smoothly. my focus turned to the man who beamed with happiness "my name is gomez, im so happy to see my little psychopath finding love" he said with awe. "my therapist suggests sociopath." wednesday butt into the introduction. "you're both," i turn my head to the shorter boy, he was about the height of my biceps "my name is pugsley. it's nice to meet you, she talks too much about you." i chuckle and from the corner of my eyes, i see wednesday give her little brother the hardest glare. "im happy to have met you all. this is a step towards something more serious," as lighthearted as i could make my laugh sound after i said that, wednesday still held a straight face. "i think she agrees." her parents both lowkey force a smile and nod anyways.
"well consider yourself a very lucky one. our little rain cloud has always had trouble making friends," morticia paused to frown, with her husband following her "why when she was a young child, we would take her to the park to play with the other children and she would sometimes push them down the slide or force feed them sand.." morticia stopped and gave an awkward smile "oh! and when she was in middle school, we put her into ballet classes!!"
BALLET CLASSES?????
"she hated it!! and she had on the tutu and everything! i think i still have a picture, let me-" before gomez could finish, wednesday cut him off "that's enough." she stepped in and hooked onto my foreman. "we still have to meet their parents." i did not want this to end.
her family is just as amazing as her and i was loving the conversation. but i did not want her to meet my family. i only saw my parents today but i still have yet to meet my 2 older step-brothers.
"well, it was lovely to finally meet you, darling. i hope to see you more often. wednesday has been in a much better mood lately." wednesday immediately dragged me away to the darker part of the quad.
the fangs section.
i dragged my feet to stop her from dragging me. she looks at me perplexed and i let out a hugh sigh.
"i have to warn you, love," her eyebrows scrunches "my family..... they're.... how do i say this" i stand there and contemplate. "very strict is an obvious but... it's not strict. it's fear. i don't know how to correctly word it."
"and i know you're not afraid of almost everything and im not saying you're going to be afraid of them..." i try to drag on. i can't find words to say my family is shit without saying my is shit! "what im saying is... i don't think you may like them..."
"i don't like everyone in the first place. im only doing this because i feel like this is a milestone in our relationship," a big smile stretched onto my face and i swore my love for this girl increased by a gazillion. "i want us to be forever."
"forever." i say and remove my wrist from her grip to intertwine our fingers, i brought it up to lips and gave the back of her hand a gentle kiss
-
when wednesday and i approached them, we weren't even close yet "you're late." these were the first words that came out of my father's mouth. i subtly grip her hand a little tighter but not enough to hurt her. "sorry father, wednesdays family was very lovely to meet and we could not stop conversing." it's like a habit but my head slightly bows. "you should be more considerate of peoples time. you have lots to learn before you lead." then he turned to the girl who started at him through her eyebrows
"and who may this be?" i let out the breath i didn't know i was holding and straightened my back. "this is wednesday addams, she is my girlfriend. my other half." i scanned his face for any reaction. like a vampire, dead as a doornail, he had no reaction. "addams family huh? a line of witches and magic." he paused and took his sunglasses off, my father's eyes a vibrant red that held no soul or humanity. his head turned to me and his eyes immediately connect with mine which were the same as his. appearance-wise, i was a mirror image of my father but internally, we were two opposites and he hated that. "i see you've been hiding secrets; however feel i must share some educational information. did you know witches used to hunt vampires?" i knotted my eyebrows to him, the fuck does that have to do with anything? "and yet you come here with one of their kind. disrespectful. have i not taught you anything?" his voice laced with anger
"she hasn't done anything to us so i don't see why there is a problem." from my peripheral view, i can't see her whole face but i know she's giving my father the deadliest glare. "her family slaughtered our kind, we were used for blood spells and experiments." with his teeth gritted, he kept poking my chest with every word "that's my problem"
"if it's your problem then keep it to yourself," wednesday spoke out, i hadn't realized that during our little argument, we managed to gather the attention of all my other family members that we still haven't been able to greet
my father's head slowly turns to my girlfriend who happens to be kinda small. "repeat those words little girl." a 5000-year-old vampire challenging a 16 high schooler. never woulda thought.
i watch my girlfriend step forward with no twitch in her face, every muscle relaxed "call me little girl again and i will not hesitate to shine everyone here but y/n with a UV light." i see my father's mouth twitch in annoyance and his jaws clenching in anger.
my father always made sure he was "alpha" and having someone step up to him so boldly, let alone a teen witch was extremely rare. "she's something else y/n" he said as he still held eye contact with wednesday "pack your shit, you're leaving tonight." he turned around and stomped in anger but before he could leave my field of vision i say "im not leaving. im staying here. with wednesday." my words seem to peak his anger as he stops with a loud stomp and furiously pivots back in my direction with a killer stare, deep down i was truly afraid
"i've had enough of your attitude!" my vision snaps towards wednesdays direction as i feel a stinging sensation in my cheeks. im dead yet i felt that slap. "you are to pack up and leave this place. all you've been is a headache and i can no longer tolerate it. you will be leading this clan, and that's final." no way in hell was i going to leave wednesday. "no father, i am not leaving." my voice was a little wobbly but as firm as i could make it out. "oh really? you're going to cut your family for some girl you just met?!" he finally blew up. this is exactly why i didn't want her to meet them. we didn't even get a simple hi.
"and what about it? all the years ive lived, this is the time where i feel most loved!" i bark back at my father, his veins poppings out his neck and forehead "if you choose her over this family, don't even come back. you will not be welcomed back and forever be exiled from the clan." apart of me broke. your family is all you know and what built you to become your person. "since you're going to make me choose, i choose wednesday! she's the soul that fills my empty capsule of a body, she is everything you guys are not!" my voice strained as that was the loudest i have ever spoken to my father
"when she dies, don't come back crawling to us." before making his way out of the section as my stepmother follows him and slowly the rest of my family does but before all of them were gone i made sure to give it closure
"YOURE ALL DEAD TO ME."
-
"that was quite eventful," wednesday said. we came back to my dorm room and kinda just sat there in silence for a couple of minutes "im sorry wens. i-i just- ugh" i let out a huge relieving sigh and slouched "that was a shit show."
"are you serious?" my attention peaked with confusion as i look at her "what do you mean serious? im sorry wens-" she cuts me off "no, i mean, are you serious that you left your family for me?" my eyebrows lifted. honestly, my mind wasn't straight during the argument and words flew out of my mouth. but thinking about it, does that mean im free from duty? im free from the fear tactics? "im dead serious," i stated, her eyes glinting with a tiny bit of happiness and surprise
"my love... ive lived decades and centuries. ive met and seen many people. but only you have managed to make me feel soulful. you are my soulmate and whatever life and heart i have left of me is all yours mi amore." my love for her goes beyond horizons and oceans. she grabs the collar of my uniform and plants a kiss on my lips. my hands find their place on her head to bring her in closer, since i am taller, i stand above her as her head is tilted up to reach for my lips, and her hands are now around my torso.
after a few seconds, we pull away heaving with swollen lips and red cheeks. "to leave your family for me is an honor. although i do think you're a bit weak," my jaw dropped playfully but she continued "but you looked so sexy when you were arguing, i wanted you to claim and change me right there." she whispers and this was very overwhelming bold for me. i grin and hide my face from her "you and that mind will be the death of me. but i would die over and over again just for you my love."
"mon cher." once again we pulled each other into a kiss which would always turn into a makeout section.

Love in the Stars
(A Love and Deepspace x Qi Xi Tale)
This is a sequel to the Moonlit Orchid Day event on 10 August 2024.
I thought that it is important to educate the fans about the true nature of the event, that is, Qi Xi (七夕), commonly known to simply be the Chinese Valentine’s Day, but it is really more than just that. It is a love story. It is a story of broken hearts and eternal love all at once.
I have done my best to summarise the myth into an easier read for players, so please, enjoy.
Genre: Very Fluffy (and slight angst, only if you are able to catch the nuance.)
-----------------------------------------------------------
The low, soft humming of the engine of the car as Zayne was driving us back from the festival was steady and consistent amidst the melodic chorus of the song, “Mountains in the Night”, which he said that he would play enroute our way home to Linkon.
I laid on my side in the reclined passenger seat, gazing tenderly at the stoic, yet magnanimously caring man before me - the same person I have known since my childhood, and I was grateful that fate had not only given us the chance to reconnect after years had passed, but that we now had something that is more than special.
His soft chuckle cut through the ambient noises when he noticed my staring, and he said in a voice that was gentle, “what is it?”, as he removed his grip from the steering wheel to take my hand in his, intertwining our fingers – a gesture confined to our private moments together.
I shook my head, a fond smile playing on my lips as I replied, “Dr Zayne, what did you wish for on your sky lantern?”
He let out another amused chuckle at my question, releasing my hand to shift the gear. “If I told you, then it wouldn’t come true.”
I smiled knowing that that was not exactly true, but I did not insist. Instead, I murmured, “I saw you peeking while I was writing my wish on my lantern. How much did you see?”
A blush formed on his cheeks which spread to the tips of ears, almost imperceptible by the dimness of the night and confines of the car. He cleared his throat as if to brace himself before he spoke. “I saw that you wrote ‘I wish to be with Dr Zayne forever’, and you punctuated it with five exclamation marks.”
I groaned an agonised sound, covering my face with my palms from the embarrassment, and his chuckle drifted to my ears again. In concession, he spoke in a gentle voice, “I wished for the same thing with you, but I excluded the exclamation marks.”
I lifted my head from my hands and for a fleeting moment, I saw the curve of a smirk on the sides of his lips before he returned his attention to the road ahead.
We stayed there in the comfortable silence for a while, until I soon found myself drowsy with sleep. In defiance against the lull of slumber, I asked, “Dr Zayne? Could you tell me more about the origins of the festival?”
The familiar chuckle came once more, one that was of tenderness and affection as he obliged. “Sure,” he muttered, collecting his thoughts before continuing. “Moonlit Orchid Day is really the ‘Qi Xi Festival’. It falls on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month.”
He paused, slowing the car at the corner to make a turn. “On Qi Xi, the stars align, such that, it allows the constellations, ‘Vega’, ‘Altair’ – the star-crossed lovers – and ‘Deneb’ to come together. Deneb forms a bridge over the Milky Way to enable Vega and Altair to meet once every lunar calendar year.”
He glanced over at me and a wistful smile graced his features as he spoke. “In the Chinese mythology, Altair is the man known as Niu Lang, and Vega, the girl named ‘Zhi Nu’. There are several versions of the story, and this is but one of them.”
Zayne’s eyes were on the road, but his gaze appeared distant, as if, deep in thought. “Zhi Nu, together with her sisters, are the daughters of the queen of heaven, the Queen Mother. One day, they came to earth and bathe in a river in the mountains. Niu Lang was smitten by Zhi Nu’s beauty and he stole her clothes, which prevented her from returning to heaven with her sisters. Zhi Nu eventually fell in love with Niu Lang and they married, and were blessed with two children.”
I continued to listen to Zayne, or at least, I attempted to. However, his voice, combined with the low droning of the engine and the occasional sound of crunching asphalt under the tires, created a harmonious lullaby and my eyelids grew heavy as the minutes passed us by.
Still, I strove to listen to his words in my subconscious as I felt myself succumbing to the lull of sleep. “When the Queen discovered the marriage – one that was forbidden – Zhi Nu was immediately seized and returned to heaven. Niu Lang finding that Zhi Nu was gone, searched for her with his two children, embarking on a journey to heaven, intent on reuniting with his wife.”
Zayne’s expression became pensive, although his eyes did not leave the road as he navigated towards home. “To thwart his advances, the Queen ‘drew’ a river with her golden hairpin - the Milky Way is symbolic of that river – making it impossible for Niu Lang to cross.”
“Niu Lang mourned for his wife by the river, unable to cross it, and soon, the news spread and a flock of magpies, having compassion for Niu Lang, formed a bridge for the lovers to meet. The Queen eventually allowed the lovers to meet only once a year on that magpie-bridge – the constellation, Deneb.”
“That one day a year, is Qi Xi.” Zayne’s voice trailed off as he concluded the story, turning to look at the figure beside him, now soundly asleep.
Her breathing was slow and even, the glow of the passing streetlamps faintly illuminated her features, and her eyelashes cast long shadows on her cheekbones. He felt a breath catch in his chest at how ethereal and fleeting she looked. He reached a hand to brush a lock of hair away from her face, careful not to rouse her in the process and he could not suppress the tender smile forming on his lips.
He leaned in to whisper ever so quietly, “I will love and find you in every lifetime,” and pressed a kiss on her forehead. “I promise.”

Meet Cute 🧡🍁 // Matty Healy
Tumblr media
A/N: I'm using promptober as a lil mini series. So, the same characters/female love interest will be used for each prompt. I hope that's okay with everyone ♡
CW: Maybe some mature language, but that's it ♡
WC: 1,936 words
🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁
The streets of Dublin were completely frost bitten. The roads were icy and damp, the leaves soggy and totally mushed into the ground and the sky crying heavily.
Amy's dream season was that period between winter and spring, but this. This was not it for her.
Amy loved it when the sky was nearly bronze, the leaves so crisp that they'd crunch under her feet as she walked to work, and when the air was dry, but the kind of dry that everyone loves at this time of year where it makes your cheeks and the tip of your nose rosy, and gives you an excuse to wrap up in an overwhelming amount of layers.
This, though, this wasn't the kind of season that she loved.
The bell above the door of her bakery and coffee shop jingled lightly as she pulled open the door, letting a loud and exaggerated sigh while she removed her fluffy red scarf, hat, and the rest of her body warming attire.
"You're here early!" The cheerful voice of her best friend, Eve, echoed from the kitchen in the back.
"Nope! You're the one who's early for once instead of being late. I'm just perfectly on time, my love." Amy skipped playfully into the kitchen, wrapping her arms around Eve's shoulders in a tight squeeze.
"Hey! You're distracting me. Stop it!" Eve chuckled as she tried to shake her best friend off her back, but her efforts were pointless.
"Just act like I'm not here. Go on, continue what you're doing." Amy placed a quick kiss on Eve's temple before leaving her alone to continue prepping the freshly made Croissants to go into the oven while she herself pottered around the kitchen, collecting all the squeaky clean dishes from the dishwasher.
"Evie?"
"Yes, Amy?"
"Do you know what date it is?"
Eve knew this was a trick question. Of course, she knew what day it was. It was the day of the new year that Amy hadn't stopped talking about for months now.
"Umm....nope! I have no clue. Tell me." Eve teased, huffing as she rubbed her hands together to clear off the access flour from her hands.
"It's January 29th, which means we-"
Amy was cut off by the bell above the door, ringing in a way that felt rather obnoxious.
"Did you flip the sign to open?" Eve looked at her with confusion.
"No, it still says we're closed. I'm too fucking cold and tired to deal with it, you go."
"Me!? Why me!? I have to keep an eye on the pastries." Eve argued, starting to become visibly bothered by the thought of having to deal with a not very welcomed costumer.
"Fine, I'll go! But these pastries better be your best yet, or you're paying for the drinks at the concert tonight."
Amy flung the damp cloth she was using to dry the dishes at Eve's face, making her squeal in disgust and making Amy laugh embarrassingly loud.
"Hi, I'm sorry to say this, but we aren't open yet. If you come back at 9am we'll be open for business."
Amy put on her best customer service voice as she spoke to the back of this man physique.
His tall frame slightly hunched over as he analysed the large bookcase filled with classical and also more modern vinyls.
"Sorry, love. I didn't even notice you were closed. I saw the vinyls, and I just walked in. I truly apologise, my mistake."
As he turned around and his thick accent echoed throughout the shop, her heart stopped beating. Any words she could possibly form were caught in the back of her throat.
"I-uhhh-well-.....please, don't be sorry! I'm sorry. I actually completely forgot that we're open earlier today because of how terrible the weather is. Please, take a seat or have a look around!" Amy rushed her speech. Word after word coming out in a stutter filled with obvious nerves.
"Oh, alright, so. Thank you, darlin." The curly headed man smiled warmly, sending a flutter of warmth into Amy's own heart.
With a friendly tip of her head and a sheepish smile, Amy made a quick turnaround back into the kitchen, practically hyperventilating to Eve as she tried her best to explain who walked into their shop.
"Seriously? Ams, I'm not falling for that. Don't be so fucking- OH! Shit, he's right there!" Eve gasped as she poked her head out around the door. Gawking at the man who was tapping his fingers awkwardly against the table he was sitting at.
"Yes, Eve. Yes. THE Matty Healy is sitting in OUR shop when we're supposed to be going to HIS bands show tonight."
"Well, just....talk to him." Eve shrugged her shoulders like it was no big deal.
For Amy, this was a big fucking deal.
"HA! No."
"HA! Yes. Now, here's a raspberry muffin, go up to him and say it's on the house. I'd say his ego would fucking love that!"
Eve gave Amy a shit eating grin as she passed the muffin to her on a beautiful vintage lavender rose China plate that Amy's grandmother owned.
"Fuck off." Amy grumbled as she put on a smile and walked back out to the front of the shop. Only to find him out of his seat and pondering around the vinyls again.
Amy took a deep breath before speaking. Wanting to sound proper instead of sounding like a total dumbass.
"If you'd like, you can pick out a record and put it on. We normally let customers pick a record if they feel like it." She spoke in a more toned down version of her Dublin accent, standing a few feet away from him to give him space.
"Ah! You see, this one right here is an excellent one. I'd like to put this one on, if you don't mind, of course." Matty turned on his heal to face Amy, smirking slightly as he watched her face turn a Ruby red when she noticed he was holding his bands latest album in his hands.
"Ehm, sure. Why not! They're a good band. Have you ever heard of them?" She quipped.
"I know a few songs. Wouldn't know the lyrics to their songs off by heart or anything, but they're tolerable."
Matty went along with the banter. Something in his heart feeding off of this interaction with the beautiful brunette girl in front of him.
"Well, while you put that on, can I get you anything to drink? I have a raspberry muffin on the table for you over there, but if you'd like something different, don't be afraid to -"
"The raspberry muffin is perfect. I appreciate it. Oh, and, just a simple Americano. Please, love."
Love.
Amy liked the way it came out of his mouth, and the way it sounded like her favourite song.
She was quick to go behind the counter and make his coffee. Trying to hide from him as the intense redness in her cheeks reappeared rapidly.
As the crackling of the record subsided and the album began to play, she could hear his footsteps getting closer to her, and she could feel his presence close on the other side of the counter.
"Do you get many customers coming in?" He asked casually, trying his best to keep the conversation he was so desperate for going.
"Yeah, we do actually."
"We?"
"Oh, sorry. Me and my best friend Eve own the place. We opened it straight after the last lockdown. So, around July 2021." Amy explained as she passed him his Americano, leaning against the counter right in front of him as they chatted away.
"Christ, that's amazing. I'd say it's fun working with your best friend everyday."
"It is! I'm sure you know all about it."
Her comment made Matty smirk as he sipped the hot drink.
He knew she knew who he was, and whether her and Eve knew it or not, he could hear the entire conversation they were having in the kitchen. Matty was just waiting on Amy to bring something about the band up so he could call her out on it.
"Ah! So you know who am." He spoke with a slightly cocky attitude.
"Was me having every single one of your bands albums on vinyl over there not a giveaway." Amy snickered, starting to feel more at ease and comfortable as the conversation went on.
"Right, I guess, but I was waiting for you to say something that I could call you out on it in a way that didn't make me sound like a total dickhead."
"Aren't you just a dickhead in general, though?" She was beginning to pull his leg, having some kind of new found confidence running through her.
"Wow, alright! We've only met and you're already throwing abuse my way." He placed a hand over his heart in pretend hurt, pouting at her like a lost puppy.
"Well, who said we'll ever meet again? Might as well get my assumptions out of the way while I have the opportunity to do so." She gave him what seemed to be a flirtatious wink before walking into the back of the shop and into the kitchen to check on Eve's baking progress.
If Matty had it his way, this would only be their first encounter, but Dublin was just a quick stop on the tour and then he was off again. It's not like he could visit her every morning until he finally got the courage to ask her for a drink.
But if he made the effort, he thought to himself, maybe he could make this the first encounter and not the last.
He waited until she returned to announce his departure, telling her that he'd take the muffin to go before he was late to go wherever it was he said he needed to be.
"Oh, yeah, sure. Take care of yourself. It was nice talking to you, Matty."
Matty could tell by her face that their was a slight twinge of disappointment that he was leaving so soon, but that made his heart flip. A glimpse of hope that she'd take him up on the offer he'd left her.
"It was nice talking to you too....I'm sorry, you never said you name. What is your name, love?"
"Shit, sorry. Amy, my names Amy."
Amy stuck her hand out politely over the counter for Matty to shake, which he politely and very gently took.
"Well, Amy, have a good rest of your day. And, here's a little tip. My treat." He returned the same flirtatious wink that she'd given him earlier, slipping the so-called 'tip' into her warm palm.
"Oh, and before I go, enjoy the show tonight. Be careful with what you and that best mate of yours say in the kitchen. Those walls aren't as thick as you think, gorgeous." He chuckled deeply before disappearing into the gloomy streets of Dublin, taking the warmth that Amy felt with him.
She looked down at the tip in her hand to find a piece off of one of the napkins left on the tables with his phone number on it with three delicate x's at the end of it and a simple written note saying :
Text me on this number if you're up for a drink or two after the show. On me.
Amy couldn't help but giggle as she noticed the hand drawn smiley face at the end.
And just like that, the heavens closed, the concreate began to dry up, and the ice on the roads began to melt. The winter sun belted down as the leaves seemed to appear to come back to life.
That was just the effect he had.
That was just the effect he would have on her.
(I'm very aware that as I post this, it's the 4th of October, but I promise I'll have the other two prompts I missed and the fourth one out tomorrow xx)
(Oh! Thank you to @abiiors for giving me a hobby and for doing these adorable prompts ♡♡)

Felix was happy today. More than usual. Yeah he was mostly all smiles and sunshine almost every day. But today he was all giggles and the Sun itself. Apparently, breakfast in bed from you, and then going to the company and hearing they were getting a vacation (a very well deserved one, if you might add) did that. He was smiling and giggling so much today that you seriously couldn't remember the last time when he was this happy aside from your last birthday. So it wasn't surprising that he was really into making out today. You both had decided to spend the day all cozy and fluffy. Wrapped in the softest blanket, with hot chocolate on the bedside table, and reading him the latest book that had gone viral recently. But he definitely wasn't as interested in the book as he was in you.
And so started the light pecks along your neck, then jawline, then both cheeks, the forehead and finally your lips. The light pecks soon turned into kisses and then full on making out while you ran your hands through his soft blonde hair. He just couldn't control himself today. Maybe it was the pure happiness radiating off of him or maybe his teeth were sharper today for some reason, but the moment his teeth sunk into your lower lip, you hissed and your hand instinctively came up to touch it. He was startled and pulled back immediately, watching your lip bleed and thick droplets of blood collecting on your lip.
"Fuck I'm so sorry. I-I didn't me to, seriously. I just- I don't kno-" you cut Felix's rambling off.
"It's fine, really. Don't worry about it." You reassured him.
"B-but you're crying." He mumbled, his eyebrows scrunching whether in confusion or a sad frown, you couldn't tell.
You lightly rolled your eyes at that. "I'm not crying Lix, my eyes are just tearing up. Nothing more."
"Are you sure?" He asked again, concern evident in his voice.
"Of course. And if I'm being honest... it was actually kind hot." You mumbled the end, suddenly feeling embarrassed for confessing that.
He gulped before saying "Don't say stuff like that."
"Why?" You questioned with a head tilt.
"Because it'll do something to me." He leaned closer. You could feel his breath on your lips as he spoke and cupped your cheek.
"Well what if I want something to happen to you?" You question again, sliding your hands into the back of his hair.
"Yeah?" He asks and his eyes darken.
"Yeah." You answer before you're back to making out again. You can feel your own blood on his tongue and you have a feeling this won't be the only time that'll happen tonight.

Times are hard and I require Din Djarin fluff. “I love to hear your voice, even if you’re so far away.”
Also I love you and you’re magnificent k byeeeeee
My love, thank you for sending me this lovely prompt!!
Tumblr media
Din Djarin x gn!reader
WC: 500ish // No warnings // Just fluffy fluff // Reader has no description, photo is for illustration only // No editing sorry
~~~
When you first met Mando, you thought he was a man of very few words. He seemed to communicate mostly in depressed sighs or an annoyed tilt of the head. You got to be pretty good at reading body language because of his frequent visits.
Turns out it was because he absolutely loathed your boss, and in particular the treatment you had to endure. Din Djarin, you came to find out, actually had a lot to say. At least when he was with you.
When you finally left your shitty boss behind and joined Din on his ship, you were shocked by just how many opinions he had. He rambled on and on about the specifics of space flight and mechanical engineering, and you let him because you were in love with the sound of his voice. You didn’t follow half of what he said, but there were no exasperated sighs or huffy head tilts when you asked what you thought was a silly question.
He liked when you spoke also, it seemed.
Things progressed between the two of you, crescendoing in a particularly dangerous mission when Din had to leave you and the child on a safe planet. Without him. Just as he was about to turn and walk up into the ship, he ripped off his helmet and kissed you as though it was for the first and last time.
For all you knew, it might be.
Days went by and you heard nothing from him, fearing the worst during every second. Grogu also missed his father and was hardly sleeping through the night, adding to your collective misery. One night, very late, the speakers crackled and you lurched for the comms unit that hadn’t left your side.
“Din? Oh my gods, please be there,” you blurted into the small speaker.
“I’m here.” His familiar voice was like an answer to a thousand prayers.
“Where are you?” Tears rolled down your face.
“Far. But I’m headed your way.”
Grogu cheered next to you. “We miss you so much. Are you hurt?”
“I’m fine,” he replied, although his groan told you that he was in a lot of pain. You would get him fixed up as soon as he got to you, you swore to yourself. “Can you just talk to me for a while? I love to hear your voice, even if you’re so far away.”
So, you talked. Anything that came into your head tumbled out through your mouth without a second thought. Everything you had been doing to keep yourself occupied while he was gone, how you and Grogu had explored the forest nearby, how he had fussed since the moment Din left.
Din’s chuckles reassured you.
Grogu finally fell asleep in your arms, his first real rest in days. “Din?” you whispered.
“Yeah?”
“Do you regret it?”
There was a long pause. “What happened when I left?”
You bit your lip. “Yeah.”
Another pause. “No. Do you?”
“No.” You grinned. “You’ll be back soon?”
“I will, cyare. Close your eyes and rest. Keep the comms open. I will be by your side soon.”
I wanted to write a very fluffy Sasuke fic for Valentine’s, so ~behold~ (ノ•ヮ•)ノ*:・゚✧
Divider
Sasuke x reader, ~650 words, fluffy date
Tumblr media
You couldn’t say that starting your morning with a feisty Kenshin at your door was your preferred way to wake up… nor could you say it was unusual. You peeked an eye up to meet the grumpy warlord.
“Good morning, Kenshin.”
“Where is my ninja?”
Your brow furrowed, and you reached back to pat the space behind you. Sasuke seemed to have already left for the morning, leaving only a pillow with a spectacled face scribbled on it.
“Hmm, dunno,” you yawned, bringing your fluffy substitute boyfriend up for him to see.
“Hmph. Well tell him each minute he keeps me waiting will be another minute added onto his training.”
You sleepily nodded, not too troubled by Kenshin’s violent affection toward Sasuke. Thankfully Kenshin didn’t seem keen on lingering, and soon you were alone again with your pillow ninja.
It really was strange that Sasuke was m.i.a. this early in the morning. Neither of you had mentioned having plans today, though you had made some treats for the two of you to share if you could manage to get him alone. Maybe he would somehow know to avoid the halls—
The ceiling panel shifted nearly silently, but you reflexively jumped up.
“Sasuke?”
You saw a familiar hand poke down through the ceiling, poised in hand-puppet fashion. The hand spoke thus: “Join me.”
Grabbing on to your beloved dork’s hand, you were hoisted up to join the room’s framework. “Good morning, MC. I’m sure you’re wondering why I’ve gathered you here today.”
“I’m honored to be here my competent and, might I say, rather handsome ninja.”
“Arigato. I’ll need you to follow me on a little trek, if you would.” You watched as he replaced the panel and turned back.
It had been a while since you’d been up here, but you found it was always rather tidy and fairly roomy. You hadn’t crawled for too long before a larger opening presented itself. Around you was a little cozy haven, reds and pinks featured prominently. From the ceiling’s ceiling hung garlands with origami stars trickling down. There were several small paper lanterns placed strategically, illuminating an array of pillows, blankets, sake bottles, and—
“Are those the snacks I made yesterday?” You blinked in confusion, but he nodded stoically.
“I had a feeling Kenshin and I would have differing interpretations of my free time, so I figured I’d need to make set plans. Would you like to go on a date?”
You crawled over into the cozy nest he’d made as an answer and made grabby hands toward him. He crawled over to you before unceremoniously plopping himself onto your chest.
“Oof! Sasuke!” You giggled at the straight face looking up at you, his eyes glittering. You stroked his hair as he snuggled in. Living together had given you both plenty of opportunities for seeing each other, but it was silly moments like this that felt the most blissful.
“Nice digs you’ve got here. Do you have any movies? Popcorn?”
Sasuke tilted his head in contemplation. “May I interest you in some rice crackers? They would normally cost over 400 yen in a theater near you, but I smuggled some in for us. And as for our cinema entertainment…” he cleared his throat. “According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too—“
“Nooo!” You groaned dramatically.
“Not a fan of the classics?” He blinked— wait, no, that was a wink kinda!
You laughed but shook your head. “I’ll need to browse your collection.”
He returned your smile, and dutifully began rattling off as many famous lines as he could. You were keeping pace, and you were honestly proud that you knew at least 80% of the references.
The two of you spent the afternoon together just like that, curled up and gazing up at the ceiling full of stars.
Prompt 15 of @deepperplexity 's Rickmas2023 prompts
December 15: Coal and Cards
Sinclair Bryant x Reader
You've recently moved to the outer suburbs of London and run into a beautiful, sweet, talkative man.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe you had gone a little bit overboard, you thought as you balanced the bags in your arms. But in your defence, you loved Christmas. And the stores along the high street of the town you’d recently moved to had so many beautiful holiday things. So now you were balancing two paper shopping bags of last-minute gifts, decorations and the ingredients for gingerbread cookies, along with a bag of coal. Your new flat had a cute potbelly stove in one corner that was in working order and you couldn’t wait to get it fired up and making your flat nice and cozy. It had snowed the night before, covering the street and sidewalks in beautiful white coat. But while it looked lovely, it made walking a bit perilous, as you soon found out as your foot skidded on an icier patch of snow and you felt yourself starting to topple. On instinct, you dropped the bad of coal in one arm and grabbed hold of the nearest thing available, a streetlight, which stopped you hiding the ground. Getting your bearings back, you saw that a few items had fallen from one of your shopping bags and bobbed down, setting the bags on the ground and collecting the fallen pieces. “Are you okay?” You heard a deep voice ask. You looked up and saw a man who had bobbed down in front of you. Your breath caught in your chest at the sight of him. He had warm hazel eyes, strong features and fluffy blond hair that fell across his brow. The most uniquely handsome man you’d ever seen. “Um, yeah,” you blinked, “I’m fine. Just slipped a little.” “Do you want some help with these? It looks heavy.” He asked, picking up the last piece of your fallen shopping and handing it back to you. “Actually, that would be very nice. My eyes were a bit more than my arms could handle.” You laughed and he smiled in return. He had a beautiful, bright smile. The man picked up on of the shopping bags and the coal bag in each arm and stood. You grabbed the last bag with your baking supplies and stood too. “Thank you for helping me.” You said, “I’m y/n.” “Sinclar Bryant. And it’s my pleasure. Where were you headed?” “Oh, my flat, it’s just at the end of the street.”
You and Sinclar headed down the street, taking their time navigating the snow-covered path. “Have you been living here long?” He asked. “Actually, I just moved in a few weeks ago. I used to live in London and needed a change of scene. It’s so lovely and peaceful out here.” “It is. I work in London. Living out here is a wonderful break from the chaos. You walked quietly for a few moments before Sinclar glanced at the bag he was carrying. Sitting on top was a packet of hand painted Christmas cards. “Did you know Christmas cards were invented by a man who had too many friends to write too?” “No, I didn’t know that.” Sinclar hummed and kept talking, almost absent mindedly, “Henry Cole in 1843. The new penny post system meant a lot more people could send letters and he got so many Christmas letters he couldn’t answer them all properly. And in those days it was considered very bad manners not to answer mail. He worked out an idea with an artist friend, JC Horsely, to design a card with pictures of a family celebrating Christmas and helping the poor. He printed a thousand of them to send out to people. Over time, others started copying his idea and it became fashion to send Christmas cards.” You looked up at him, perplexed by the sudden history lesson but also finding the way he spoke endearing.
Sinclar’ train of thought apparently drifted to the other bundle in his arms and he continued, “You know in Italy, they have the tradition of a Christmas witch called La Befana. Legend is she tried to follow the three wise men to find the baby Jesus, but couldn’t find them, so she gave out her gifts to good children and gave lumps of coal to the bad ones. Today the give out sweets that look loke coal called Carbone Dolce as a joke instead.” Sinclar looked at you and saw your expression, a mix of confusion and amusement, and he blushed slightly, “I’m sorry, I have a habit of talking too much. I apologise if it’s annoying you.” Something in his eyes as he said that tugged at your heart. “You’re not.” You assured him, “It’s actually very charming. And interesting, I didn’t know either of those stories? A Christmas witch? It sounds fun.” Sinclair smiled again and the two of you kept talking more as you walked, first about random Christmas traditions and then about the town. He’s been living there a few years now and you were happy to hear his recommendations about the areas shops and events.
Sinclair felt happier than he’d felt in a long time right now. You were clever and curious. Talking with you was so easy. You’re smile was beautiful and your eyes were so warm and gentle, he found the persistent knot that had sat inside his chest for months finally starting to loosen.   “Oh, and you have to try this bakery, Lenora’s. It’s near the library. The best pain au chocolat and pasties you’ve ever tried. And at Christmas they make amazing hot chocolate.” He stopped, turning to face you properly, taking an impulsive chance, “Are you hungry? If you’re not busy I could take you there, show you around a bit.” He asked, hope and slight nerves colouring his voice. To his relief, you nodded, “I am hungry, actually. And that sounds great, I’d love to have lunch with you.”
You reached your flat and you quickly stashed your shopping just inside the door and headed back out with Sinclar. You walked towards the bakery, arms occasionally bumping into each other, and chatting idly about anything that came to mind, not yet realising that this was the start of something very special.
Hope who reads this likes it. Sinclair deserves so much love. I want to hug him so bad. I am planning a continuation of this with another prompt.
41. “I love you and all, but you’re really stretching your luck right now.”
Catelyn Starks finds her husband in a pile of puppies. He now has to explain to her. (A very classic the Starks are getting diewolfs fic.)
Catelyn raised her eyebrow while looking at her husband, who was sitting on the living room floor with six puppies in his lap.
She wanted to say so many things at that moment but finally settled on telling her husband: "I love you and all, but you're really stretching your luck right now."
"Oh, come on. Cat. Look at them. They are so fluffy." Ned told her, taking one of the puppys and holding it next to his face and looking at her with eyes so big they rivalled the dog’s.
"No, no, no! I don't wanna look at them! I looked at them long enough to count them. There are six of them! Six!"
It's not like she hates dogs but she really couldn't handle the thought of having six dogs to take care of.
"Don't think of it like six dogs, love. I think you should first take our children into consideration. We have six of them as well. So it’s six dogs and six children. One dog for each child. That would mean, zero dogs for you."
Ned spoke as if he just figured out the solution to world hunger. She looked at her husband with suspicion.
"Did the kids coach you to say this? Did they actually convince you that they are responsible enough to take care of six dogs?"
"Well they did make some really compelling arguments. Having a dog teaches responsibility. And with each of them having their own dog, there will be no fighting about who is responsible for what because they will all have clearly defined responsibilities."
"Ned, I know you love telling our sons they are almost grown men while they are still wearing diapers to bed. But do you really believe our three year old, who regularly sleeps in bed with us because his “teddy” had a nightmare, who we dress, who we still cut food for, who we basically still do everything for, as we should, since you how he is three, can actually take care of another living thing by himself?
Hell do you even believe our fourteen year olds can take care of another living creature completely by themselves? Because I don't. Which means somebody has to pick up all the things they can't or won't do. And that will be me and I will end up taking care of six dogs."
After that Ned was quiet. Not having a good argument against his wife. But one of the puppies escaped his lap and stumbled towards Catelyn now.
Cat looked at the little dog with caution, he was completely black and was making small japs at her. But she was determined not to let herself get swayed just because a small pup looked at her.
"No! Do not come closer. I don't want you in my space?" she told the little black puppy.
Of course the small creature that by now had reached her feet didn't listen. The black dog was trying to jump up her leg. She tried very hard to ignore the little paws at her legs and the admittedly adorable whines coming from the floor.
In the end, despite her inner fighting, she was unsuccessful.
Catelyn made the mistake of looking down and into the puppy's eyes, those big, beautiful, innocent eyes. She couldn't help herself. She reached down to give the creature a quick pet on the head.
But the little monster immediately used her moment of weakness to cuddle himself into her hand. Ned was right he was really fluffy but she was still determined not to fold just because of a bit of soft fur.
“Ned, we really really can’t keep them,” she told her husband, trying to make him see reason.
“But Cat, look at him, look at how much he loves you already. And if we keep them, imagine getting six times of puppy love every day.”
“But also, six times walking, six times collecting poop, six times feeding and six times more cleaning because their fur will be all over everything! Ned, you need to see reason.”
“Ok, how about this, we make a deal with the kids. If they don’t take care of their dogs, as much as is reasonable for their age, they have to give the dogs back. And I promise you that all the responsibilities the kids are too young for will fall on me and you have to do nothing”
At Cat’s raised eyebrow Ned quickly added, “Basically nothing, maybe a few little things when I am not here. But I will give you a reward each time.
Catelyn had to smile a bit. "Are you gonna pay me 10$ an hour for walking the dogs like one would do for the neighbor kids?"
Ned also smiled at his wife. While they talked he had carefully placed the five remaining puppies from his lap into a bundled up blanket pile and then started walking toward his wife. When he reached her, he hugged her from behind with one hand around her hip, while the other reached for the black puppy himself.
"I know this will be a big adjustment and I promise I will be the person most responsible for all of it. But when Benjen brought them the kids were so happy. They even each picked one without fighting. This little one is Rickons by the way.
Benjen found them behond the wall, their mother died and now they don't have anyone. If Benjen can't find anyone to take them he will have to euthanize them or put them back behond the wall where they would die.
And there's basically no one but us to take them in. It is against the law to have them outside the North, you also need a special license to keep them as well as proof of massive available space for them. It is not something most people can provide. But we could since we have moved to Winterfell after dad died."
She knew he didn't mention his fathers recent death to get her to soften up, he wasn't manipulative after all but it still did. The passing of his father had hurt her husband a lot and now that she thought back on it she hadn't seen him as happy as he has been sitting in the pile of puppies in a while.
"You have a dog holding license like that? I didn't know that."
"Oh yes, it is still from my childhood. My dad had them from before we were born and we grew up with them. They died when I was a teenagers but me and my siblings still decided to get the license when we were adults."
Something about this revile made her brain itch but she couldn't put a finger on why. For now she decided to ignore it. Because while he didn't say it, Cat could hear in her husband's voice that the dogs obviously meant a lot to him and those little ones probably reminded him of the dogs he grew up with. Still snuggled into her husband and holding the little furball, her resolve broke.
"I guess if the kids and you really promise to care for the dogs and I will never be responsible for bathing any of them, we can try to keep them. Try! The emphasis is on try!
If in two weeks I'm sitting here with six dogs while you all are busy with something else I will personally call Benjen to pick them up and bring them back to where they came from!"
Her husband hugged her a bit tighter from behind and whispered
"You are the best mother and wife. I promise we will all be on our best behavior. Me, the kids and the dogs."
"You better keep that promise."
"I will and the kids will promise too."
Suddenly there was a storm of little people all yelling different versions of ,we will,"we'll take good care of them" and "we promise". Now she had her daughters at each of her sides hugging her, kissing her face, saying "thank you, thank you" all over again, her two younger sons trying to squeeze into her lap at the same time almost squishing the puppy, that still resided there and her two oldest trying to put their arms around the whole bundled up family.
"You are the best mom ever" exclaimed her smaller daughter right into her ear.
Cat turned to her and marvelled at the beautiful smile Anya gifted her. There was nothing more beautiful than her children's smiles but Arya's was always special to her.
Arya didn't often share true full smiles with her as they often clashed when Arya wouldn't like or listen to what her mother told her. But when she truly smiled, Cat was reminded so much of Ned that her heart would melt in an instant.
"Well, please remember that if this doesn't work out and the dogs have to go again" she said to remind them all that this was not a yes without conditions.
She still smiled at all of her children. She really did hope they would show enough responsibility to take care of the dogs. They seemed so happy and she wanted them to stay that way.
"Yes, if this doesn't work out and the puppies need to go, you have only yourself to blame. You can not be mad at your mother." Ned added sternly.
Cat was really grateful for her husband's words. She didn't really want to end up being the only bad guy if this went down south.
"But the puppies won't have to. We will be the best puppy caretakers ever and we train them to be the best behaved puppies ever." Robb chimed in. Jon was nodding his head in agreement.
Cat spent the next hours still on the living room floor together with her family being introduced to six little puppys. Cat was amused by how the puppies seemed to perfectly fit her children's personalities. The little black one that she now knew was Shaggydog, was running around and yapping at everyone if nobody gave him attention.
Arya's dog Nymeria was not far behind. Sansa's dog Lady could almost be described as polite, while Beans dog, who didn't have a name yet, was constantly trying to climb the furniture. The white wolf, Ghost, that belonged to Jon was quiet and listened very well for such a little puppy.
Robb's Greywind seemed as if he was trying to keep an eye on all of his siblings, barking at Shaggy when he tried to jump on the other puppies and at the unnamed dog when he tried to climb on a particularly high piece of furniture.
Catelyn had seldomly enjoyed herself so much in her life. She had all of her children around her, she was in her husband's arms and everybody was basically vibrating with happiness.
When she laid in her husband's arms in bed that night, she thought that she could handle six dogs if they would gift her family this much delight. She could exept having to clean up behind the little furmonsters if it gave her children the possibility of being woken up by their sweet little puppies licking their face, so they might appear less grumpy at the breakfast table.
And Ned was right. Winterfell was a perfect home for dogs with its wide spaces and the Godswoods attached to it. That thought sparked a memory at something Ned had said to her today that she hadn't truly understood but had put off for the moment.
"Ned?" she whispered.
"Yes, my Love?" he answered her in the same calm whisper.
"Why do these dogs require so many laws about where they are allowed to live? Which breed of dogs are forbidden outside the North?"
Ned didn't answer her. He kept quiet and stared up at the ceiling. Cat got a bit suspicious.
"Ned? Will you answer my question?"
Ned coughed: "Yes, well you see... Technically, they might not actually be dogs"
"What?"
"They are kind of direwolves." Ned confessed.
"NED! WHAT THE F---"
