I really need people to shut up when they say that coffee doesn't hydrate. It's like 99% water. It's not enough of a diuretic to dehydrate. Therefore it's hydrating. Assuming someone doesn't ONLY drink coffee, it counts towards daily hydration, end of story.

Not gonna say who this is for but some of y'all need to hear it.

"Coke": Coke is Coca Cola. Coke is not an all-inclusive genre of beverage. All things fizzy and sweet are not somehow alchemized from the great brown progenitor.

"Soft Drink": We know, you're an intellectual. You probably ask for "the libations" when referring to alcoholic drinks, or "dinosaur bone juice" when getting gas for your car.

"Pop": You are either 4 years old or a sweet southern woman who calls people "sugar" and "darlin".

"Soda": Neutral. All-encompassing. Inoffensive. Correct.

sounds fake but i'm starting to think i'm immune to chemical addiction

#smoked cigarettes for a bit to try to prove a point to myself by quitting #they were nice sometimes and sometimes i wasn't in the mood #never got an urge to smoke more just kinda had a ritual of smoking one on my lunchbreak #but skipped it sometimes #kinda over em now #too easy for a proper trial of will #i like coke but i nursed a gram for months #had fun a few times and had no urge to take more after a few hits each time #going off of adderall cold turkey was easy #got slightly sleepier but less jittery #i used to get headaches from caffeine withdrawal sometimes #and i rely on it again now #but it's just mild withdrawal effects and low energy no real cravings #except for the taste ig #sometimes i drink too much but i can cut back or take breaks if and when i want to #weed is mid to begin with to be tbh #love the psychedelics but they're a treat not a habit #idk haven't tried heroin or meth and probably won't #but the caveat to all this is i form obsessive thoughts #and compulsive behaviors like nobody's business #i'm powerless to stop the skin picking or get certain things out of my head #for more than a few minutes at a time #drugs seem to only be a risk if i form a ritual or association #like i always take x when i do x. i do the same with foods/drinks and activities #not impossible to break but i'll fall into that

God I’m craving McDonald’s so bad but I know no one will want to go with me and I can’t drive and all the restaurants are too far away from public transport and I’m out of range of all the delivery options

#like the justeat guy Will not and Should not drive 30 minutes from [redacted] to deliver mcdonald’s to me #and even if he did it would be stone cold by the time it got here #i’m sick anyway. i shouldn’t really go anywhere #like technically i don’t think the walk from [redacted] station to the restaurant in town is too insane but i had a bad experience there #as a teen and the whole place is tainted in my memory #basically my friend insisted on ordering two large cokes (for herself. all i wanted was a water bottle and fries) but she refused to go up #and get it. so i had to go get the tray and the cokes ~fell off the tray~ and got EVERYWHERE all over the floor #and there were these two girls behind me who were being SO rude and screaming and laughing and making fun of me about it #the mcdonald’s lady remade the cokes and i somehow didn’t drop the second two #but i sat down and said to my friend ‘we need to leave now’ and she Wouldn’t. she insisted on sitting there and drinking two large cokes #AT THE SCENE OF THE CRIME. the other girls were still there and still laughing at me and i just wanted to die #i was like.. 12-13? nowadays i would’ve got the second two cokes & just flipped the lids off and thrown them all over those girls #but as a teen i had no spine so i was MORTIFIED. i wanted to die #it’s still probably top 10 most embarrassing things that have happened to me but it has been overtaken by a couple of other things #like all the times i have fallen down in public #but yeah. suffice to say i’m not going to mcdonald’s today :(#maybe i can look up a copycat recipe and wear like three masks to the shop and buy whatever i need #because i know damn well i don’t have chicken nuggets or fries lol #personal
