the office
Jason was looking forward to his first semester at college, but after a few months, he realized it wasn’t for him. He came home to his parents estate so he could get a job and find somewhere to live. His parents were crazy rich. His mom owned Coca-Cola, and his dad was a self made billionaire that sold pretty much everything. They lived in a mansion filled to the brim with different commodities and services. They had a bowling alley, restaurant, amusement park, movie theater, and their own private chef.
Jason always felt like he didn’t fit in with his family. He had curly brown hair and a sharp jaw. His perfect muscles were complimented by his small waist and strong thighs. A lot of people told him he looked just like his dad, but Jason didn’t see it. His dad looked alright until you saw his beer belly. It was like a perfect ball of a gut that hung over his waist. Jason thought it was ugly. He was a huge fitness junkie, and he took pride in his figure.
Jason told the chef to make him a nice meal to celebrate being home while he looked for a job. Looking online, he saw a listing for an office job. He would sell cutlery to clients from his desk. Looking further, it seemed like Jason would never even have to get out of his chair to do his job. It seemed perfect. His chef came back with an entire pizza, garlic bread, spaghetti, different kinds of exotic cheeses, and dessert. Jason dug in.
at the first day of his new job, he was showed to his desk and given basic instructions on how to do everything. It seemed even easier than he thought! Walking into the break room, Jason helped himself to a donut that was sitting on the table. “Jason?” A voice said. Turning around Jason saw a guy who looked to be like 20 staring at him. He had a buzzed blonde head with some stubble and a nice mustache. Jason quickly recognized the man as Connor. His old friend from high school. He looked about the same until Jason looked down. He saw that Connor’s flat stomach was now more of a soft ball gut. It pressed heavily against the buttons on his shirt. They caught up for a bit and Connor invited Jason to lunch. Turns out there was an entire food court upstairs. Jason ordered a chicken sandwich and a salad with a soda to wash it down. Connor ordered a Big Mac, fries, large shake, and an extra cheeseburger incase he got hungry later. No wonder he was so fat.
after around a month of working in the office, things were going great. Jason got lunch with Connor every day and stole donuts from the break room whenever he wanted. He worked most hours of the day and came home to request a feast from his chef. His life couldn’t have been more perfect. But this morning, as he tried to button his pants, he was finding it slightly harder than usual. He looked down to find his perfect abs were nothing but a memory. They were replaced by a thin layer of fat in his midsection. Jason didn’t think much of it. Maybe just lay off the donuts for a while.

IN THIS TOGETHER | ITOSHI RIN*ੈ✩‧₊˚ ; 694wc
episode 2: “a bribe to take medicine.”
synopsis: jiro and rin are both sick, struggling to take of each other so wifey y/N must conquer their sickness!
warnings: family life + pro player au + fluff + “in sickness and in health”
“Tsk tsk, I told you two that you should shower right after you get home!” y/N lectured the two boys laying on the couch, both snuggling against a warm blanket you put through the dryer a few minutes ago.
“Momma don’t be mad at Papa!” Jiro get’s up and looks at you with big doe eyes, as you sit down next to the two. “I am not! I could never be mad at Daddy!” You say before handing over a measuring cup filled with berry-flavored cold medicine. “Momma I don’t like- taking dis!” Jiro denied the medicine and you sighed. “I promise, I’ll let you take a sip of water. Baby you need to take medicine so your cold goes away!” “No!” Jiro screams before jumping off the couch and running into the hallways of your apartment.
You sigh and look over to your sleepy husband who seems to be enjoying his son running away from you. “Go get your son.” You say sternly, and quickly his laugh faded and his face adorned a pout. “But Mommy, I am sick and don’t feel well..” He says in between sniffles and you let out a breather breath. Getting up from the couch you swiftly catch Jiro and carry his squirming body.
“C’mere baby. I promise I’ll let you take a sip of Coca-Cola if you do!” At this point, you’re trying anything to have your son take the medicine. The medicine that’s gonna be the only thing to make him feel better. He gives in.
Jiro is in fact a momma’s boy and twin. Twin meaning in personality and interests. Looks wise, Jiro looks exactly like Rin, a twin born way later if you must. The bottom lashes that adorned your husbands' eyes passed onto Jiros, which you secretly thanked for his strong genes to pull through.
“Good job baby!” You say as he swallows the medicine in full, choking on the flavor but the medicine flavor was soon washed down by the flavor of Coca-Cola. You carry Jiro back onto the couch, laying him down on the opposite of Rin, tucking him in with a Paw Patrol blanket that Rin’s parents gifted him for his birthday.
“Get some sleep okay?” You whisper as you kiss Jiro’s forehead, and ran your finger down his nose bridge a few times until you start to hear slight snores from him. Your attention is brought to your husband when his face still adorns that stupid puppy dog look on his face.
“I am waiting for my turn.” He says seriously until he blurts out a big sneeze. You quickly bring the tissue box over to him and he blows his nose. “I gave you antibiotics before…I would be overdosing you!” You say, running your fingers through his hair, feeling the heat from his forehead. “I’ll be right back.” You say before running to your bathroom to get a cold washcloth and then proceeding to put it on his forehead. Letting him have some sort of relief.
“Get better soon okay? It hurts my heart seeing the two of you sick together!” You say before planting a kiss on his cheek..which resulted in Rin puckering his lips. “If I get sick, it’s your fault!” You say before planting your lips onto his, you then started to do the same motion as you did for Jiro…finger running down his nose bridge as you witnessed another man fall asleep to your touch.
“Get better soon handsomes~”
You get up from the ground to turn the living room light off, you went into your office and online order some groceries that will be able to use in a family recipe, used when you were sick and it would help you to a speedy recovery.
As you waited for the delivery, you worked on office work and started working on a physics question that you were still yet to complete for work. Why must punish women in STEM? You think as you try your best to solve until you had a series of sneezes.
You look out of your office to see your two boys sleeping peacefully, until another achoo leaves your body…

What I think Lego monkie kid characters favorite fast foods are.
This is strictly just head canons so if you don't like it then that's ok, I have an opinion and you yours.
Mk: KFC. I also think he likes the desserts that he buys from there as well. He's a bit upset about KFC not issuing out unlimited drinks after COVID but he definitely orders from there.
Mei: Popeyes. She likes the spicy food and fries and she loves the popcorn chicken there as well, she drinks either coca cola or lemon soda with the chicken.
Pigsy: Burger King, he liked that they're fast with their food and orders a burger for Tang sometimes when he asks cause Tang can be picky on the fast food he eats(except for pigsy, he loves his husband's noodles)
Tang: Depending on his mood he either goes for Wendy's or Little Caesars. Absolutely despises going to other pizza places for some reason and occasionally eat burgers from Burger King.
Sandy: I believe that he's a vegetarian but for this one time he looks like somebody that eats subway sandwiches. He even gets a coupons and cards there for deals and event food.
Nezha: Pizza Hut and Little Caesars. He fucking LOVES their pizzas since he can order them online or on call and they'll deliver hot for him in less than 2 hours. They can be a bit messy for pizzas sometimes but he doesn't mind at all, he likes eating them while he works and his favorite drink is Pepsi.
Dbk and PIF: Burger King and Pizza Hut, no literally, they will order from them at the same time and get an extra pizza for Redson since he doesn't really like eating burgers.
Redson: Popeyes and Pizza hut, he eats more Popeyes than Pizza Hut but that doesn't matter to him, he loves the popcorn chicken and for Pizza Hut, everytime without fail he orders jerk chicken and green pepper pizza with stuffed crust, Bro cries when he eats cause it's just that fucking good, favorite drink with it is Sprite, the hell juice.
That's all I have for part 1 making part 2 tmrw probably

Burger King Japan Pop-Up Location "Natsukoi Set" Ice Whopper and Bottle
Food AND Drink
Type of Funny Food: Seasonal / Event
Introduced: August 2022
Location: Online / Umi no Ie Oasis Pop-Up, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan
To hop on an ongoing shaved ice trend in Japan, Burger King Japan created a special, exclusive set of items meant to beat the summer heat. These were billed as the "Summer Love Set", or "Natsukoi Set".
The main attraction of the set was the Ice Whopper, a typical Whopper with a layer of shaved ice on top of the patty and pickles.
Along with the Ice Whopper, there was the Ice Bottle, a coke bottle made entirely out of ice served with Coca-Cola. Customers needed to drink the soda quickly, or risk the bottle melting out from under it.
The Ice Whopper and the frozen Ice Bottle were only available for two days. Orders needed to be placed in advance online, and could be picked up at the beachside pop-up location in Kanagawa Prefecture.
-
Apologies for the lack of clear pictures. The only pics I could get came from YouTube videos where the subtitles and setting widgets obscured the item.

"Mama didn't raise no impolite witch" Vincent Griffith Fanfic Ep 1
Mélisse
The rush had simmered down about an hour ago. I skimmed through the last batch of orders from my desk at the soap shop, the amber lights attuned to the rainy day we were having in New Orleans today. On the radio, a potpourri of Haitian music from the sixties played in rotation bringing me back to those joyous moments growing up with my parents, all of it a memory now with a sour twist.
The room smelled sweet, of cracked stems, and wild herbs picked from our garden outback. I carefully placed a rosemary leaf on the brown wax paper enveloping the order of soaps a client bought online earlier, and tied a string around it with my business card and a coupon which all were inscribed with the same cursive letters spelling Jardin de Mélisse.
A knock at the door brought me to a halt. Standing at the door was Simoli, my cousin, who's been helping me run things around ever since he decided to stay in the states permanently. " Sa pou m fè av w? What am I supposed to do with you?"
I rolled my eyes and tcheupsed, resuming the monotonous cycle I've been repeating for the three hours since we opened. I placed a series of glass bottles from my hibiscus and okra hairline into a shipping box and stuffed it with bubble wraps. Thank you note, close, tape, and repeat.
"I'm almost done"
" Yeah you said that about an hour ago when there was still a line at the register"
I looked up at him, his face seemed refreshed, despite the long hours we've been pulling. He's wearing a coca cola red t-shirt, jeans and leather flip flops, his hair a tapered fro around his scalp. I think the change of pace and environment has been good for him. My shoulders relaxed a bit. The scissors in my hands suddenly weighed heavy, the piece of lavender between my fingers limp and awkward. I've been stuck in this room for far too long, my eyes were so adjusted to the darkness I could feel them disappearing into their own sockets, I needed a change of pace.
" Fine" I slammed the metal scissors on the wooden desk. " i'm gonna go get lunch" i said, rising from my seat and scanning the room for my belongings. Wallet, umbrella. It was impossible for me to find anything in there, with all the pillows, the tapes, the boxes and endless inventory on the floor. The place was a fucking pig sty. I needed some fresh air, that's for certain. I scratched my head, gathering my things as I went and fighting Simoli's scrutinizing stare while he watched me rummage through my life like a raccoon digging through a pile of trash in the quarter. If he had any judgments, he said nothing.
I threw my jean jacket on, and smoothed my hand over my tapered dress " do you wanna come with?"
He snorted, as if I had insulted him, then threw his hand up " Mélisse, I got it from here, go". He shooed me away with a gesture of his hands, from the office, to the main floor of the shop. I stopped at one of the vintage mirrors on the wall, a fascinating relic i bought at a yard sale over two years ago, and was frightened by what i'd seen " jesus fucking christ" i muttered, digging through my bag for some lip balm. I glided it over my big lips, smoothing the layer of cracked skin that had been there before. I was immediately invaded with the scent of brown sugar and anise. Another one of my creations, not yet on sale anywhere, I was still doing a trial run on the product and was clearly failing. I sighed deeply. Simoli leaned on the counter, resting his chin in his palms
" The AC company called. They wanna know if they can come in monday and take a look at the unit"
I fiddled with my keys " Did they send you a price quote yet? "
" Well, technically they have to come in and see what's wrong with it before we know how much all of this is going to cost"
I exhaled " i uh, i don't know, let me think on it i'll get back to you"
" Before monday" Simoli supplied, not a request, but a statement.
I nodded. My stomach rumbled. " Do you want me to get you anything?" I interjected, moving the conversation towards something more fun, because all this AC stuff was making me anxious. I couldn't afford it, but I didn't know how to say it without causing my cousin to freak out. We were already behind on rent. The last thing I needed was for the two of us to pace around this place like anxious chickens. Leave it all to me to worry and figure out a way, Simoli deserved to just relax for a little while and not have to dive head deep into the travesty that was "the american dream"
The boy flipped through pages of a messy white binder absentmindedly " No"
I cocked my head to one side " Here i was thinking i was the only workaholic around here"
His light brown eyes shot back at me, from this angle I could see how grandma's features have carved his cheeks, his forehead and fierce glare to be like hers. He sneered " Ou toujou ap pale kaka ou menm, you' re always talking shit"
After agreeing on a meal for him, I walked out of the store, umbrella in hand, dodging the disgusting sewer water flooding the streets and made my way to Rousseau's. Not necessarily the idea of fresh air i had in mind but oh well. The small bar was situated in an old townhouse, with shuttle doors and peeling paint, identical to quite a few buildings here in New Orleans. A slow trepidation of old times amid the rise of modern, more expensive new developments. My sandals clattered on the wooden floor, the sight of dead leaves and debris clinging to my soles and feet, causing me to frown. I shook the water off from my umbrella and took a seat at the bar, on one of the stools that was designed far too small for people with big butts and thighs like mine. After a few trials and errors I finally felt comfortable enough to rest my bag on the metal hook beneath the bar. I pulled my now wet and frizzy orange coils on top of my head, tying them and fluffling the ends into a pineapple bun.
A white man with blue eyes and an irish accent strolled through the swinging doors, noticed me and brought over a menu. " How ye doing? can i get you anything?"
I ordered an IPA while I read through the small menu he had handed me. People sat in groups, some alone, all around me the room boiled with small chatter, rocks glasses knocking over wood, forks clicking and salt shakers clattering against beer bottles, hot sauce and so on. On my left was a mail lady, having a small cup of coffee and reading a newspaper, on my right was an old man slurping on a bowl of chicken soup, on a stool a few feet from him was another man, this one i had seen before, of about 6 feet tall, with umber skin and a bird tattoo clawing at his skin , having a bourbon, a small plate of french fries in front of him.
The bartender slid a coaster in front of me and handed me my beer. The handsome man with the claw tattoo coaxed a book over his face. I can recognize a cover of Marcel Proust anywhere. He read with laser interest, his index finger bejeweled by a plain silver band, tracing his lips.
" Miss…"
" Yes" I blinked, " sorry long day" I laughed. When he didn't smile back, i cleared my throat and proceeded to say " i'll have a jambalaya to go, and uh " tapping my fingers against the hard menu cover, i quickly inspected the appetizer list "the pulled pork natchitoches and a small soup for here"
He nodded, his expression solemn and bored as he took the menu back and shoved it inside an obscure shelf behind him. "Cash or card? "
" Card" i thrusted the blue card in his hand
" you want to keep the tab open?"
My eyes shifted to the man again, this time he was brushing his beard, his eyes still glued to the pages of the book. I must've been staring a little too intensely because suddenly his brows knotted and his round eyes, two pools of deep brown, shaped so sensually looked back at me. My heart thudded. The bartender noticed, shifted his body to the left side of the room. I squeezed by glass, letting the chillness kiss my fingertips " No i'll close out"
The bartender pursed his lips and nodded
" very well then"
I sipped on the orange brew in my glass, letting the tangy flavor flood my taste buds and slowly closed my eyes. Everything else around me, the pressure at the store, Simoli, the people inside the bar faded into the background.
Vincent
" People do not die for us immediately, but remain bathed in a sort of aura of life which bears no relation to true immortality but through which they continue to occupy our thoughts in the same way as when they were alive. It is as though they were traveling abroad. "
I stumbled upon this quote at some point while reading a shriveled copy of The captive/ the fugitive which i found at the clearance section of my local bookstore earlier this week. I haven't sat down and read for pleasure in a long time— not since college which felt like ages ago— A capsule in time where i was young, an eager witch, stupid and burning with love for Eva. There was a time where i would hear that name and would automatically feel the pull of guilt, the hollowness of losing someone, by my own volition, my own ambition creeping up inside my chest, sinking me away from this reality into one where Eva's ghost was seeking vengeance for my wrong doings.
That feeling is dead now, my love for the woman dead with it. The only thing left is the empty space that once blossomed—Healed shut—-At least i was trying to heal. Camille had put me in touch with a friend from school who ran her own practrice now. For the last two years since the Mikealsons been gone and Marcel took over as king, i've been sneaking weekly sessions with Judith on the other side of town, trying to unpack all the shit that went down. She's suggesting medication for the insomnia and nightmares, but i'm not gonna lie, i am a bit apprehensive. I wish Camille was still with us to discuss this with, i wish my friend was still here in general to breath in the peace we've been fighting so hard for, i miss her smile.
I wetted my tongue with some of the bourbon in my glass, now watered down. I signaled to Declan to spin me another round and went back to reading my book, hunting the wisdom the renowned author penned centuries ago, when suddenly i felt a prickle at the back of my neck, the knowing sense that someone's attention was on me. I swallowed the lump in my throat and raised my eyes. I noticed a woman sitting at the other end of the bar watching me. Instictvely her gaze veered towards the content in her glass, downing it halfway like a pro, then rested it on the coaster in front of her. There was a particular nervousness about her that didn't quite travel to her round face. Her cheekbones glistened not from sweat, but rather from the products she used to maintain her appearance— she looked like she really took care of herself. Her skin was deep as a harvest moon night, as if calla lillies themselves lived beneath it. Her hair was dyed serpia orange, fixed on top of her head in a way that complimented her features.
She was striking. Was she a witch??? I don't think i've ever seen her around here before. With the new leadership and reforms i've implemented as regeant, i wouldn't be surprised if news traveled to neighboring states and was bringing outside witches into our walls. A weird sensation sliced through my chest, and managed to somewhat buzz around my shoulders and legs. I inhaled, exhaled, i needed to get my shit together. With this new awareness therapy had provided me with, it was hard at times to know if the sensations living in my body was weariness or something else—A warning or excitement? —The alertness of a Tremé witch or the fragility of a damaged man. I hung back, balancing this particular dilemma in my head while playing with my beard as though all the answers were hidden inside it. As tempting as this new witch was, i didn't necessarily think introducing myself to this new comer was a good idea. I felt no urge to interrupt her lunch break, god knows this is the last thing any woman needs right now.
Declan rattled the silver shaker in one hand while pouring a golden brown liquid—my drink— into a clean glass.
For the next hour, i've given up on trying to understand pretentious literature. Leave it to some old white man to throw a pile of random shit on the wall that barely make sense, and watch the world revere him as a literary genius. This shit can get exhausting. So i scrolled through facebook instead, when that wasn't enough, i cleared Freya's emails and text messages from my screen. The apologies were getting redundant. I didn't have anymore space for anymore Mikealson guilt, not now, not in the near future. She fucked up and put a teenager's life in jeopardy and now Davina is dead. This is her burden to carry, her shame to live with. I'm done being the errand boy, the witch for hire, the punching bag and everything in between.
Once the woman finished her meal, Declan came back with an order neatly wrapped in a plastic bag and handed it to her. She gathered her things, thanked him, and put back a pocket size book she was reading earlier into her burgundy bag, then her notebook, her headphones. Not once had she turned to look at me since i caught her in the act. The haste in her movements made me rethink a last minute introduction over. Keep it cool, maintain good distance, there couldnt possibly be any harm in doing so right? but before i could make up my mind and muster the courage, she was already charging for the door, belongings in hand, her large hips swaying from here to there rythmically. The gold anklets she stacked around her ankles came to view. My gaze lingered in the poetry that was her curves, my throat felt tight and dry. I snapped myself out of it, averting my attention to the ceiling fan instead. My mama didnt raise no impolite witch. I shifted in my seat, cleared my throat and made sure no one else had caught me looking—-no, lusting over this beautiful stranger. I had a reputation to uphold, that is of a widower, a regeant who wielded strong power, a leader of his community. Do leaders not allow themselves the distraction of entertaining the pleasures of the flesh? Can good leadership coexist with the simplicity of desire?
When her hands pressed against the dusty shuttles and disappeared behind it, i mumbled a silent prayer, ever so intimate to the universe, to let me see her again.

My thing about this is—I have two things about this. The first is that so much work in the modern world is fucking stupid or bad. Like, there are people whose job it is to make up advertisements for McDonald’s or Amazon or Coca-Cola, all absolutely monstrous companies doing monstrous things to this world. Is it truly more morally good for those people to go to their jobs and do their jobs than it would be for those people to sit at home and collect a UBI check and not work? That just doesn’t seem right to me. Or like, there are so many people who will readily admit online to their job just like barely being a job. People who sit in a cubicle for 40 hours a week but only actually do work for like 5 of those hours. And you can’t even imagine how many companies in this world are dedicated to doing bullshit dumb useless things that doesn’t do anyone a lick of good. Some people are literally stockbrokers. And so on and so on.
But ultimately, even if we lived in an incredible utopia where every job was useful or created a net good in the world in some way, I would still have trouble with the argument that it’s more morally good to do a job if you are able to than to not do a job. If there are enough people in the workforce to do all the things that need to be done, what the hell do you need me for? If we have created a world where everybody’s needs are met without everyone needing to work 40 hours a week—well—how wonderful! The people who want to work these lovely jobs will do that, and I will simply devote my life to something that is not a job instead.
Like, what is the argument? That it is morally bad to receive everything you need to live—food, clothing, shelter—without toiling away in the hamburger mines in order to “earn” them? Those things are human rights! By definition, no one should have to earn them!
I actually still followed the OP of all these posts when the arguments started so I saw it play out in real time, and I will report that they deserved and deserve every bit of mockery that people have heaped on them. To not back down from such a transparently stupid conviction is to invite scorn.

Digital Marketing Vs Traditional Marketing
What distinguishes digital marketing from conventional marketing, and which should you use? Every marketer has thought about choosing the appropriate marketing type for a very long time. Here is all the information you require.
a comparison between traditional and digital marketing strategies Image courtesy of OrangeCrush
Simply put, digital marketing is the use of online platforms like websites and social media as instruments for marketing communication.
If you use social media, you are likely familiar with the advertisements that appear in your stream; this is digital marketing.
Traditional marketing: What is it? — On the other hand, traditional marketing uses conventional platforms like printed media and billboards. Imagine Don Draper from Mad Men coming up with Coca-Cola TV commercial concepts and copy for coca-cola
Pros and Cons Of A Digital Marketing Strategy
Digital marketing has its perks. However, there are a few disadvantages to this type of marketing that we will also consider in this section.
Digital Marketing Strategies Pros
Below are some of the advantages of digital marketing that marketers worldwide can relate to.
A. It makes it a lot easier to reach a global audience
Digital marketing strategies help you reach a global target audience. For example, when you create a website, it is not limited to your locality. Everyone that’s using the internet can access the information on that site. The same goes for social media marketing.
B. Results are Measurable
Whether you’re running social media ads or search engine marketing, digital marketing allows you to easily determine how many people clicked on your ad by using a few metrics. Unlike billboard and magazine ads where you can’t tell how many people saw them.
C. Personalized Ads
Digital advertising has made it effortless to contact consumers on a more personal level unlike the traditional media that creates ads on a more general basis. By clicking on a few links on the website, businesses can target a customer in real-time, calling them by name.
D. It is cost-effective
Unlike traditional marketing methods, meeting your target audience where they are will no longer cost you a hunk of your capital. Digital marketing allows you to create several campaigns at a very cost-effective rate.
E. Building interaction
Internet marketing is the easiest way to interact with your target audience anytime, any day. By frequently posting content on social media, you can get the reactions and feelings of your consumers about your product or service.
F. Higher conversion
Digital and traditional marketing will boost conversion. However, one does it better than the other. Your digital marketing efforts are very much more liable to bring in customers because the majority of your potential customers are online.
With digital marketing, you can meet them where they are and with just a few clicks, they can buy the product before they even know it.
G. It doesn’t take your time
Although building your brand online can take a while, just like any type of marketing, advertising online doesn’t require too much time or physical effort.
Cons of digital marketing strategies
Below are some of the disadvantages of digital marketing.
A. It requires a lot of experience
To be able to carry out a digital marketing strategy successfully, you need to be very experienced in all the different aspects of digital marketing mentioned above. Well, that is why you could simply hand the job over to a digital marketing company.
B. Visible complaints and negative feedback
One of the ills of digital marketing is the fact that your target audience can see what other users have to say about your product or service—bad or good. This can be a blessing or a curse, depending on the quality of your product or service.
C. Competitiveness
Online marketing is inarguably the order of the day. Every company has a social media account, a website, and most likely, a digital marketing company to handle these tasks for them.
This makes digital marketing very competitive. Your audience is very likely going to be seeing your competitors as much as they see you.
D. Privacy issues
With online marketing, you need to be very careful how you use the information of consumers. You have to be careful not to breach their privacy or security terms.
Traditional marketing vs. Digital marketing: what is traditional marketing?
Traditional marketing is any marketing activity or effort that is done offline. It is the only form of marketing that was done before the internet and social media became a huge part of our existence. However, traditional marketing is still highly in use.
Traditional marketing strategies involve the use of channels like prints, magazines, billboards, television, direct mail, and radio ads for interacting with customers and potential customers. It needs to be mentioned that over 40% of direct mail never gets opened.
Traditional marketing is difficult to ignore. It is always in your face. It comes in form of TV commercials that you cannot skip. If you must watch your program, then you must watch the ad.
The traditional marketing strategy makes use of the four Ps of marketing, which includes the following:
1. Product
Traditional and digital marketing focus on products and services. However, traditional marketing takes it up a notch by getting feedback from customers about the product and ensuring that it meets the request of customers. Digital marketing doesn’t pay attention to this. It focuses solely on advertising and selling.
In traditional marketing, the product has to be presented in a way that is palatable and solves the problem of the end-user. Everything from the packaging to branding and just about anything that makes the product more appealing to the user is focused on.
2. Price
How much do we set the price at? How much do our competitors charge for this product or service? Will we make any profit by bringing down the price to drag in customers? Will we get any customers by taking the price up? Can we sell at the same price even though our brand is better? All these are questions that go into the determination of price.
Traditional marketing strategy carries price along with the product and it is not a coincidence that “pricing” is very often placed after “product” when talking about the 4 Ps.
3. Promotion
Promotion is where traditional and digital marketing has almost everything in common. The promotion has to do with every activity that helps the brand get more recognition and also helps the company make more sales.
Traditional marketing will use radio and tv commercials, one on one advertising, billboards, and several other means to promote the product. Promotion doesn’t end at advertising. Discounts, gifts, and other strategies that help customers interact with the brand also count.
4. Place
The place in traditional marketing simply refers to the location of the business—headquarters or branch.
How do we situate the office or factory in such a way that we’re able to meet our customers at the point of their needs? Where do we set up the farm so that we can easily access the market for sales? These questions and more are what “Place” in traditional marketing tackles.
The Pros and Cons of Traditional Marketing
Traditional marketing has made its mark on marketing in general and will continue to do so. One question we very often get when talking about digital marketing vs. traditional marketing is whether one will outlast or terminate the other. Let us consider the pros and cons before we go into that.
Traditional Marketing Strategy Pros
Below are some of the important advantages of traditional marketing.
Establishes credibility: When you see advertising on TV, there’s a very high chance that you automatically think the company is a legit one.
Creates an easier connection with a local audience: When you create a marketing campaign on a radio station, you know you’re only relating with potential customers in that locality. It helps you channel your marketing campaigns more creatively.
It’s better for connecting to a larger and broader audience: One of the advantages of digital marketing over traditional marketing is that you can target an audience based on specific demographics. However, for brands that cater to more general audiences, traditional marketing helps you do that with ease.
Helps you connect emotionally: Traditional marketing allows you to communicate more emotionally to your audience, giving you room to connect more with them.
Traditional Marketing Strategy Cons
When it comes to a more modern and broader picture of marketing, the traditional way is at a disadvantage. Let’s take a look at the few cons of this form of marketing.
It is often more expensive: running a traditional marketing campaign requires so much funding. When you add the media buy and the total cost of production (+ marketing costs), you’ll see that it costs a lot to keep it running. According to Fit Small Business, the cost of running a full-page print ad can cost anywhere from $2,700 to $160,000.
The results are difficult to measure: when it comes to digital marketing vs. traditional marketing, one major deciding factor is how well these forms of marketing are doing. With traditional marketing, you cannot measure how many people interacted with your advertising campaign. How then do you know if it is worth paying for?
Most people don’t pay attention to the traditional media anymore. TVs and radios have not gone out of style but they are no longer as important as they used to be.
The traditional marketing campaign takes far too long to execute.
It is difficult to target a sub-segment audience.
How Does A Digital Marketing Strategy Differ From A Traditional Business Strategy?
The major differences between digital marketing, traditional marketing, and other types of marketing are the marketing channels and cost.
While digital marketing uses online tools and media, traditional marketing uses offline campaigns. You already know which one costs less and saves time.
Businesses that use digital marketing can reach their audiences much faster than traditional marketers because you don’t need to do
Another major difference between the two methods is that digital marketing allows you to only target an audience that has shown interest in your product or one that is interested in your industry.
You can see results in real-time with digital marketing. You know which variation of your audience is buying from you and which one may be interested but not yet ready to buy. This helps you to properly structure your campaigns.
Traditional Marketing vs Digital marketing
Deciding which one of these marketing methods to choose is not a difficult task, especially after reading through this piece of content.
Digital marketing, traditional marketing, or any other form of marketing has its good sides and not-so-good sides. However, when you consider which one has more good and less bad, you’ll know which one to choose.
From the carefully outlined advantages and disadvantages of both digital and traditional marketing mentioned above, it is obvious that digital marketing has a sharp edge over traditional methods.
Why’s that?
As of April 2021, more than 60% of the world’s population uses the internet in one way or the other. To clarify things, the world’s population is around eight (8) billion. This simply means that over half of the world’s population is on the internet doing one thing or the other.
Advertising to that population had to be the best marketing strategy ever, compared to sending direct mail, installing billboards, or using TV and radio ads.
One good thing, however, that most marketers will never tell you is that these two methods of marketing can work together to create the best campaign or strategy ever seen. This is because both methods give you access to both digital and traditional audiences.
Whether you like it or not, there will always be people who won’t and can’t use the internet. Kids, for example, influence their parents to make certain buying decisions.
Targeting this population has to be done through marketing channels where they can be met. TV shows for kids are a great place to do that.
Our advice is if you only have to choose one of digital and traditional marketing, then go digital. It is cost-effective and conversion is guaranteed, as long as you have an expert on the job.
Work With The Leading Cleveland Marketing Company
To achieve success in digital marketing, you need a highly experienced digital marketing company. It is very possible to do it alone, there’s no doubt about that. However, if you consider the time, effort, and cost of learning most of these skills, handing the task over to an expert is your best bet.
Work with the best Cleveland marketing company today and watch your business grow from where it is to where you want it to be in a matter of months.
We have been helping businesses maximize profits and boost sales. Our marketing strategy cuts across both traditional methods and digital methods.
We have a team of experts to handle all the different digital marketing channels, including social media, emails, search engines, website designs, and several others.
Conclusion
Traditional and digital marketing have proven to be important parts of the world of today’s businesses. You certainly cannot rule out the importance of one of these forms of marketing to favor the other.
Digital marketing can be referred to as the marketing method for the current world but that doesn’t rule out the fact that traditional marketing can complement its effectiveness.
Most of the time, marketers use traditional marketing to solidify the level of trust that consumers have in them and their digital campaigns.

AI in Customer Service: How It’s Changing the Way Businesses Help You
Have you ever contacted a company and wondered, “Am I chatting with a real person or a robot?” If you’ve asked yourself this, you’re not alone! Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming a bigger part of customer service, and it’s making a huge difference in how businesses respond to you. From chatbots and virtual assistants to tools that predict what you need, AI is transforming the way companies engage with customers like never before.
The Growing Role of AI in Customer Service
AI has come a long way in customer service, and it’s not just about robots answering your questions anymore. These days, AI tools can manage entire conversations, predict what you might need help with, and even solve problems before you realize you have them! Think about how Amazon helps you track orders, or how Sephora helps you pick the perfect makeup shade online all with AI.
What’s exciting is that AI makes things faster and more efficient for everyone. So, the next time you get quick help online, there’s a good chance AI is behind it, working to make things easier for you. In the next section, we’ll look at how AI is being used by businesses to make customer service better.
Real-World Examples of AI in Action
Automated Ticketing: Have you ever had a problem and received an instant response, saying your issue is being handled? That’s likely AI in action. Companies like Zendesk use AI to categorize and route customer problems, making sure they reach the right person quickly.
Sentiment Analysis: Some companies use AI to understand how customers feel based on what they say online. Coca-Cola, for example, keeps track of what people are saying about them on social media using AI, so they know when something needs attention or when people love their product.
Personalized Recommendations: If you use Netflix or Spotify, you’ve probably noticed that they seem to know exactly what you’ll enjoy watching or listening to. That’s AI analyzing your habits and suggesting content tailored to your tastes!
Fraud Detection: AI isn’t just about answering questions it can also protect you. PayPal uses AI to detect any unusual activity in your account, helping to prevent fraud before it becomes a big issue.
AI is already doing a lot to make customer service faster, smarter, and more personal. As more businesses adopt these tools, your experience as a customer will keep getting better. Next, let’s dive into the benefits AI brings to customer service.
● Saving Time and Money: One of the biggest reasons companies love AI is that it saves both time and money. For example, chatbots can handle lots of questions at once, meaning businesses don’t need as many people working the phones. Juniper Research even predicts that by 2023, AI-powered chatbots will save businesses over $11 billion every year!
● Always Available: AI doesn’t need breaks or sleep. Companies like H&M use chatbots that are available 24/7, so you can get help no matter when you need it whether it’s day or night.
● Consistent Answers: Ever had two customer service agents give you different answers? AI avoids this by always giving the same, accurate information. AT&T uses AI to make sure every customer gets consistent, reliable service.
● Scaling Up: As companies grow, AI helps them handle more customers without losing quality. Bank of America’s virtual assistant, Erica, talks to thousands of customers a day, providing helpful, fast answers to everyone.
● Predicting Problems: Some companies, like Tesla, use AI to predict when something might go wrong before you even notice. That way, they can alert you and fix the problem early, which makes your life easier.
The benefits of AI are hard to ignore. Whether it’s cutting down wait times, being available around the clock, or ensuring you always get the right information, AI is making customer service better in ways that matter to you. But even with all these perks, AI does have some challenges. Let’s look at those next.
The Challenges of AI in Customer Service
Even though AI is amazing, it’s not perfect. Here are a few things that still need work:
● No Personal Touch: Sometimes, you just need to talk to a real person. While AI can handle simple questions, it might not do well when it comes to complex or emotional issues. For instance, Nordstrom uses AI for quick fixes but makes sure a human is there to help with trickier problems.
● It’s Expensive at First: Setting up AI tools can cost a lot of money. IBM Watson, for example, offers super-smart AI services, but smaller businesses might struggle to afford it initially.
● Privacy Concerns: AI often needs access to personal data to work well, which raises privacy concerns. In 2021, Facebook had a big data breach, reminding companies and customers alike how important it is to protect user data.
● Too Much Automation: Over-relying on AI can make customers feel disconnected. Zappos, for example, keeps a balance by using AI for some tasks while still having humans handle more personalized interactions.
AI can’t do everything at least, not yet. It’s great for handling basic tasks, but human interaction is still essential, especially when it comes to more complicated situations. Let’s now explore how you can boost your skills with AI certifications for customer service.

Wrapping It All Up
AI is changing the way businesses interact with their customers, making service faster, more efficient, and more personalized. Whether it’s answering questions, predicting your needs, or helping prevent problems, AI is playing a big role in making sure customers get the support they need. However, it’s important to strike a balance AI is great, but sometimes, you still need that human touch.
In short, AI is revolutionizing customer service, but the best experiences come when companies mix technology with empathy. The future is exciting, and AI is here to make it even better! And that’s a wrap on how AI is shaping the future of customer service!
FAQ: Common Questions About AI in Customer Service
As AI continues to revolutionize customer service, many people have questions about how it works and what it means for their interactions with businesses. Below are some frequently asked questions (and answers!) to help clear up any confusion:
Q1: Will AI replace human customer service agents? While AI is incredibly useful for handling routine inquiries and providing quick responses, it’s unlikely to completely replace human agents. Many companies use a combination of AI and human support to balance efficiency with personalized service. For complex or emotionally charged issues, people still prefer talking to a real person.
Q2: How do chatbots work in customer service? Chatbots use AI to understand and respond to customer queries. They’re programmed to recognize certain keywords and phrases, allowing them to provide relevant answers or guide users to the information they need. Many chatbots are also equipped with machine learning, which helps them improve over time based on past interactions.
Q3: Are my conversations with AI tools private? Privacy is a major concern when it comes to AI, especially since these tools often rely on customer data. Reputable companies prioritize data security and follow regulations to protect your information. However, it’s always wise to check a company’s privacy policy to understand how your data is being used.
Q4: Can AI understand emotions or respond empathetically? AI is getting better at analyzing customer sentiment through natural language processing (NLP), which helps it recognize emotions based on the words you use. However, it’s not quite the same as human empathy. Some businesses use AI for initial contact but transfer you to a human agent for more sensitive issues.
Q5: Is AI used in customer service only for big companies? Not at all! While big companies like Amazon and Google are known for using AI, many small and medium-sized businesses are adopting AI-powered tools to improve their customer service. Solutions like chatbots and automated ticketing systems are becoming more affordable and accessible to businesses of all sizes.

This week's airbrushed style pinup photo features Samantha in another tribute to the Coca Cola Advertisments of the 1940s! From the 1930s into the 1940s, Coca Cola pushed the 'Coca Cola Girl' into their advertising quite heavily. Often doing some everyday task from working in a factory, serving in the military, or even playing at the beach with the gals always taking a break from their current task to have a Coke (in order to 'Refresh' themselves before continuing on with that task). This retro advertisement is part of the ongoing Coca Cola original ad recreations.
