His children were all out for the evening with various excuses: doing research on a case, homework, visiting a friend, etc. He knew they were really with Fenton for a movie night of course…the third such movie night in the last several months since they started sneaking over to visit the man.

Bruce double checked his notes on Daniel James Fenton. He was 2 years younger than Bruce, earned a high income as a freelance engineer and had multiple patents that gave him enough passive income from royalties that he could easily maintain his current lifestyle without working. There were no indications of any criminal history or ill intentions and thus far all of his interactions with the children appear to have been positive. More than positive given that every single one of his kids was now “secretly” (or secretly in so far as they were aware) spending time with him.

“Hi there, sorry I was doing laundry and…uhh…you’re not the delivery guy”. Danny stared at a sharply dressed smiling man holding a dozen roses on the other side of his door.

“No, I’m Bruce Wayne. I-“

“Oh, shit”

Bruce’s eyes narrowed. “You know.”

“Umm…” Danny gulped. He was not expecting to deal with Batman on laundry day! “Yes?” He straightened himself, squared his shoulders and looked Bruce Wayne AKA Batman, the father of the kids that his core had recently come to recognize as his own, in the eyes. “Yes,” he said firmly. “I know.”

“Hnnn…” Bruce’s voice dropped a few octaves. Not quite Batman’s signature growl but much lower than he had been speaking. “Well then, that simplifies things. These are for you. Would you like to go out to dinner with me?”

I forgive Fourever You for its odd editing and pacing because episode thirteen was all about the rain, and not just the actual rain or raining man (even though I very much appreciated it).

But raining colors!

Like I thought Arthit was a Black Brooder before.

But now I'm sure because episode thirteen gave me everything I wanted, so I'm excited to see what secrets this arrogant and seductive man is hiding.

But Green Guy North is magically riding his friend's green bike this episode instead of his normal blue bike, so I was more excited for that.

And Tonfah has a lovely talk with North about Johan being able to be himself with North (aka Johan can show North his true color).

Johan gets to be a passionate and aggressive Red Rascal around North.

Because North doesn't need Johan to pretend, Johan feels safe to be his needy self around North. He can just chill with his Green Guy without pressure.

Which is why Johan is all in and wears his Green Guy's color. (These shirts are green, right? Right?! They have to be green!)

Let me consult the color consistency folks.

WAIT! I'M NOT GOING TO DOUBT MYSELF! THEY ARE WEARING GREEN!

Now, I can transition to these two!

They are in Blue Boy Hill's color!

Because just like Johan and North, THEY ARE IN LOVE!

And when Hill asks Ter to move in, the entire window shines blue with yellow lights backing up Yellow/Orange Oddity Ter.

Ter was always meant to live in this apartment with his boyfriend!

Because Hill has been in love his Yellow/Orange Oddity so long that his entire life is about making physical space for Ter the same way that Ter takes up all the space in Hill's heart.

And that's where that odd pacing comes back, but everyone is in blue, so I. Don't. Care!

Especially because these two color-coded boys met in their true colors and instantly hit it off!

And Hill even wrote with a blue pen!

Then, they met again, in their colors!

And Hill had a blue notebook to go with his blue pen, but Ter also had blue on his shirt and blue shorts. They were falling in love with their real selves!!!!

Until this Blue Boy had to leave.

But it doesn't matter because they are together now and moving in together and so are Johan and North and everyone is wearing everyone's color, so I don't even care about the pacing or editing or that this thirty image limit has once again hindered my expressive liberty BECAUSE THE COLORS MEAN THINGS AND EVERYONE IS IN LOVE!

The problem with jayvik

In a vacuum, there is no problem with jayvik. I like jayvik, I think their dynamic is interesting, I think they have chemistry (I think all of the characters have good chemistry with each other, actually), I think their relationship can be interpreted all sorts of ways. I think they're neat.

I also like Meljay, in fact I prefer Meljay, they have more layers that I'm personally invested in peeling back. I love how you don't know Mel's intentions at first, so the first impulse when they get together is to regard it with suspicion. But then, he lets himself be vulnerable with her and they're just open hearted and good to each other from then on. There's no trick, they just earnestly care and see the best in one another. Contrary to popular belief, Mel may have had an ulterior motive for nearly everything else, but she never had one for loving Jayce, that part was always true and good even if you can't see it at first.

I also like Meljayvik, I think Jayce and Viktor have a complicated relationship and she's never shown the slightest sign of being in any way resentful or spiteful over it. Nor is she given any reason to be whatsoever. She supports Jayce fully in his perfectly understandable preoccupation with Viktor's wellness.

But the problem with jayvik, or at least a particularly loud section of their fandom is, they badly want her to be resentful and spiteful. They want her to feel hurt and betrayed, they frame whatever jayvik have going on as cheating on this woman he never actually cared about, and that's supposed to be good, that's supposed to be a W for their ship. What is actually gained from this? Why is discussing Mel even necessary to enjoy this pairing (yes, erasing her is also a problem in the fandom but believe it or not, there's a way to talk about jayvik that doesn't involve doing either, and it's really not that hard).

Also, why does Jayce choosing Viktor have to be because he's gay? (fellas is it gay to chow down on a beautiful woman's coochie?) Why can't he just choose him regardless of whether he likes women or not? Why the insecurity? Is it because if you let yourself believe he actually likes women, you have to also admit that he chose Mel for no other reason than being attracted to her? I get it, they're jokes, haha, it's not that deep, but unfortunately when the same stupid patterns emerge around every woman and especially every Black woman in fictional media who "gets in the way" of fanon, it is that deep, it's annoying af actually.

Here's a little thing that's turning into my head after the latest episode.

Gwen has clearly been rattled by Mr. Bonzo and this casement obviously didn't help. And you can feel she wants to talk about it to someone, but she can't go to her Posh Friends she already feels "meh" about seeing because it throws back at her what she assumes to be her failures to progress As She Should in the Capitalist world, because well, they'll assume she's lost it, and she'll lost the last of her credibility.

She can't really go to Lena either, because although Lena is well-aware of everything that's going on, actually, and might have, in another world, be a mentor of sort to help her go through the process of the ugly shit they're doing (still rooting for that in the long term ngl), Gwen absolutely won't show any proper weakness or vulnerability in front of Lena -- I think what we saw of last episode is the most she'll allow herself to be. Being demanding and angry rather than, y'know, have the good cry she clearly wanted to have. Lena is still her superior; she doesn't respect her (yet, i suspect) but she's spent the last few years being openly antagonistic and unashamedly ambitious at her -- Gwen's pride can't let her go "nevermind, actually, you were right" about all of it.

Colin is off the grid, Sam and Celia are the newest babies and, possibly, from Gwen's point of view, not reliable in that they might leave soon (and also having a romance affair, though if Gwen is even just a little bit as jon-coded as she seriously appears to be rn, she has NOT realized at all) so of course, of course, that leaves Alice.

Alice might be infuriating and vexing and an horrible coworker, in her mind, but she's also the one who's been here longest, longer than Gwen. She's a form of stability for Gwen, at this point, and from what we heard in the early episodes of the show, they can, on occasion, actually discuss serious work-related topics that might affect them both. On top of that, Alice asks. Alice, however minimal the effort is, seems to care. Which Gwen seems to be in serious need of, if the coffee-scene was any indication.

So of course she tries to talk to Alice about it. Who else is there?

yeah, Sun’s always been like this. my initial idea was a Sun who knew from day one that he is a robot, that he’s built for a purpose, and whatever feelings he may think he experiences aren’t real.

so even in the daycare, he was stoic and serious, which balances out Moon’s emotional outbursts. so he and Moon make a very affective pair when they work together (although they do disagree often 😅)

Cady's POV.

We're shown Cady's crush on Aaron Samuels in a few ways. Lingering close ups, like she's memorizing his features. The camera follows him throughout his day to day life, as though she's watching him closely and appreciating the little moments where he's simply doing his thing and being himself. I really appreciate how we're shown the romantic attraction there, and that it's not just taken for granted.

I appreciate even more that the same thing goes for Regina George but dialed up to eleven.

In addition, Cady talks even more about how she wants to appeal to Regina more than she wants to appeal to Aaron. She has a crush on Aaron, Cady does, absofreakinglutely, but he's almost there as a by-product of Regina.

I'll never get over how we're shown Cady watching Regina George and the camera goes into slow motion and captures every little moment and refuses to falter even when Regina blows a kiss. Yes it's a good way to demonstrate Regina's superiority in the school and single her out - iirc she might actually be the only one who gets a slow-mo shot from Cady's POV - but because it's singling Regina out from Cady's POV, it effectively romanticizes her IN Cady's POV as well.

I'll never get over this shot/reverse shot. Get you a girl who looks at you the way Cady Heron looks at Regina George.

It's the same face with which she checks out Aaron for the first time too btw. The only difference is the softer indoor light.

Mean Girls was a milestone moment for 00s era queers just with Damian's existence and how he was portrayed alone. He has a big personality, he's at the forefront for all of it and has amazing lines, his gayness is brought up several times both textually ("too gay to function") and metatextually (him singing Beautiful by Christina Aguilera, him owning a pink shirt - in 2004 him having that was a declaration in and of itself). He is not anywhere NEAR the closet except for his clothes. And he's also accepted. He goofs off with his fellow art geeks at the art geek table - it's not just Janis who's laughing at his class clown antics. Hell, Janis is the one who rags on him the most FOR being gay, and we're meant to understand that she gets a pass and her openly stating it is effectively an act of solidarity and acceptance even if she is kinda a dick about it.

But for me, the ability to read sapphism into it so freaking easily also qualifies it as that. It's not textual. It was 2004. Damian is the only 'framed as a good person battling the evils of highschool dictatorships' protagonist who isn't shown smooching a love interest by the end of the movie. Hell, he kisses Janis instead as they get caught up in the atmosphere, even though they both immediately curdle in disgust and "No, no, nope" it. So Cady and Regina can't be TOLD to have that kind of tension.

But we're SHOWN it. Oh BOY are we shown it. It even practically ends on it. In the final 'the class barriers have been broken down' scene, we're not shown Cady giving a long look at Aaron as he walks by with his team mates and smiles at her, giving her a nod in camaraderie to show that they've both made it into this new beginning and they can put the fights of the past behind them. He's literally not even there.

Who's in that scenario instead? Cady, yes.

And Regina Motherfucking George.

also please note that the final breaking point for Regina, the one that sent her flying home in a screaming and flushed rage, the one who made her voice tremble, was CADY. It was Cady's betrayal. Cady singular. Not The Plastics as a unit, no, it was Cady and her Kalteen bars. It's not The Plastics as a unit whose picture she butchers for the Burn Book. Just a picture of her and Cady, arm in arm, smiling for the camera.

One of the most common 'couple breaks up' tropes btw, next to eating ice cream, is cutting up pictures to literally cut the ex out of the POV character's life. Just saying.

Further, Regina won't hesitate to weaponize herself and throw herself under the bus (lol) to get her way. It's part of what makes her such a formidable opponent and villain. It can also tie into this inextricably if you think about it.

Mean Girls, above all, is about 'girl politics' and the way girls, especially teenage girls, flounder and struggle and assert themselves in a patriarchal society. It's about how girls are and aren't allowed to act, behave, think, even what they're allowed to look like and who they're allowed to hang out with. About what they are and aren't allowed to BE. And so it isn't only the platonic feminine bonds that suffer in this. It's everything else, too. After all, it was accusations of lesbianism, the notion that Janis was in love with Regina, that excommunicated Janis from Regina's kingdom.

But it was also Regina who brought it up, and who demanded the performance of compulsive heterosexuality in the first place.

hi hi!! i was replaying the wedding dlc and something strange happened. when inviting family and friends for wedding , pamela was not invited somehow?

i usually like to change up the wedding parties each time I play and I've done one play before where pamela wasn't in my MC's wedding party but she was invited by cove instead.

this time though (expecting cove to invite her) i didn't invite pamela again , and when we visited moms' place to invite , only ma was invited and there was an extra dialogue of "how mom didn't seem upset" and like that

i am confused , why didn't cove invite her or is there a specific combo of party invitations that will prevent cove to invite her

Hi hi~! How it works is like this...

Since Cove's best man will always be Cliff, he'll be out of the running for the wedding parties; also excluded is whoever MC picks as their party lead.

The MC, being the first to pick who they want in their wedding party, can then choose up to four people, and Cove's will go off of the ones they don't pick. If the MC picks three or four people, Cove's party will have three people, but if they pick two people, Cove's will also have two, and it continues being equal with the MC picking one (so Cove's will also have just one).

The order in which Cove picks his wedding party is based on a priority list that goes like so (in order of highest to lowest priority): Kyra -> Terry -> Miranda -> Derek -> Noelani -> Pamela -> Liz -> Lee

Thus, if the MC doesn't pick Kyra, Terry, or Miranda, those three will be Cove's choices no matter what, which is what happened to you.

So if I, for example, pick Kyra (as the party lead), Terry, Miranda, Noelani, and Liz, then Cove will always choose Derek, Pamela, and Lee in that order. If I instead pick Terry (as the party lead), Liz, Pamela, and Derek, then Cove will pick Kyra, Miranda, and Noelani in that order, thus leaving Liz out of either party due to being the lowest priority on Cove's list considering I already chose Lee.

I don't have much to write for the penultimate episode of Fourever You, but I'm always happy whenever the characters speak about North, a Green Guy, being lively, chill, and the opposite of Red Rascal Johan, which are all perfect traits of a green-coded character.

Because even without knowing him and while breaking his heart from a distance, Green Guy North got Johan to lighten up.

Because of his dread regarding his family obligations, Johan was a dark kid.

But after hearing North speak positively about him, he started to lighten up with a little green growing in his heart.

And he was on his way to be the lightest ever until he discovered that North was dating someone else.

But even though he decided to leave the country and flee from his feelings, returning to his darkness, he still wasn't fully back to his dark ways.

So when he returned to Thailand, he was still in love with North, and it shows because his clothing was this dark green.

So he has always been with North, and North has always been with him even when he thought North left.

Which is why I was thrilled that we got the brief backstory on how Blue Boy Hill knew about North, and how he shared his history with Easter.

Their direction boys are best friends, so it makes perfect sense that these two would also end up being best friends as they shared their grief.

And even though Johan is still dark every now and then, he is the lightest he has ever been with North by his side.
