THE CURRENT STATE OF FOOL'S PARADISE (DON'T WORRY SHE'S STILL HERE)
Hello to our dear FOOPARIANS! We wanted to start this announcement with our team's sincere apology. The lack of updates on the state of the game has rightfully worried a large part of our fanbase, and we wanted to create this announcement as soon as possible.
2025 is officially our studio’s first year in business. Last year was, to be blunt, a disaster for our team. Many development team members have left over the past few years, leading to our writing team being only two individuals (thank you to Mock and Notafish, by the way, for their extremely hard work during this trying time). With no editors on standby, we are stuck with a slowly progressing script that has to be entirely written and edited by the same team. Any finished scripts are passed to our coding team (Tora coding script content and Maita scripting minigames and screens), making the choo-choo train process even slower. Alongside the large cast and expansive content of the game, our production has been snail-pace. I’m not even going to come up with the expansive list of (IRL) disasters that hit our team members individually last year, but I’ll say it was an overall bad time for us.
What we can say for sure is that we are sincerely thankful for your kindness and patience while we are producing this game. Not creating subsequent updates for you guys was irresponsible on our end, and we will be more proactive than ever to deliver the content you deserve.
Overall, FOOL’S PARADISE is still in development and an active project under our studio.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN:
To accommodate our small team, applications for open studio spots will open in early February. Open positions include 2D Artists, writers, editors, coders, and music producers. These will close on February 16. Accepted applicants will assist our studio in developing FOOL’S PARADISE and other upcoming titles.
We will release a 2.0 demo before March with the finalized script and visuals for the first portion of Act 1. Then, FOOL’S PARADISE will be released in three acts without the Kickstarter. The first act will be released for free, with the second and final acts being paid DLC. While we work on FOOL’S PARADISE in the long term, we hope you enjoy our less intensive titles as we prepare for the wild ride of our main project.
We will also open a Patreon page to help sustain our members and projects financially. Here, we will post a variety of content weekly. This ranges from exclusive artwork, drabbles, behind-the-scenes content, and early beta builds of our productions.
We are in the process of opening our official website with assets for our studio’s branding. Here, you can actively apply to our studio and view information about our titles and teams. After this is finished, we will develop an online merchandise store that will sell products from our current games.
Monthly devlogs are back! We’ll post updates about our games’ and studio’s development on our website and social media. If the log’s information pertains to a specific game, it will also be cross-posted to Itch.io.
In the meantime, why not check out our other, completed title—TOY BOX?

What do the brothers do, like, outside of Lucifer after he leaves with Diavolo? They got plans?
Well, three of them end up getting married.
Mammon gets married to a tall sea captain siren wrath demon named Aezorin Idreieus, Zori for short. He founds a chain of casinos called Lucky Coin and (with the help of his wife) keeps himself financially stable while still giving into his greed.
Levi is... dating? Roommates? Best friends? No one is really sure, even him and Adramalech. They live together and are game tester (Levi) and coder (Adra) at a very big tech company. Adramalech Dreik-Mukhin, as stated before, is transmasc, extremely noodle like in stature, an Envy demon, a dragon fly demon, and was a human before they died.
Satan actually lives at the castle, though he spends most of his time beneath the actual structure. He lives in the Archives, a large library beneath the castle that holds the record of everything ever to happen in Devildom (and beyond!). He's dating, but marries Diavolo's younger adopted sister, Metztli. Metzi is a small greed demon with cotton candy pink hair and she's an albino bat demon. She's very traumatized, I can give her backstory if you want it.
Asmo has three partners. Solomon, Devereax Eros, and Ariadne Kamini. Sol we know. Dev is an incubus and a stripper with the name Rose Quartz. Ari is a fashion designer for Asmo's brand. Asmo doesn't marry any of his partners, but they all have no plans of breaking up
Beel gets married to very nice gluttony demon named Dahlia Toth. She's a trans woman, short, plus size bee demon. She is also a human soul. She's the head cook at Infernal Delights, her and Beel's company. They live with Belphie (who's aro and acespec) at the House of Lamentation and host the weekly family meetings
If you have any further questions, feel free to send me an ask!

Why is landing an Internship as a Computer Engineering/Computer Science Student so hard ?
Hey there, dear coders!
I apologize for my long absence—life caught me off guard with a lot of work and projects. Now that I finally have some time, I wanted to make a post to connect with you all. Thank you so much for 1,000 subscribers! I know maintaining a community requires consistent posting, and I feel like many of you might have forgotten about me. But I promise to make something big out of this. I've been thinking about starting a newsletter where you can receive weekly emails from me, discussing something I learned that week or anything that intrigued me and I felt like sharing.
Now, back to our question: Is it really hard to land an internship as a computer science student? The answer is yes, and as a computer engineering student myself, I can attest to this.
I've often wondered why it's so difficult. After some observations, I discovered that almost every computer science student's resume looks the same. The portfolios are nearly identical, lacking uniqueness. If you've studied at the same school as your friends, what would make a recruiter choose you over them?
This is where uniqueness and a sense of self come in. Your portfolio or website should reflect exactly who you are as a person and highlight your strengths.
The second crucial factor is dedication. I've had classmates who are extremely dedicated. They might not have any special skills, but they show immense interest in what they want to do. This drive is palpable, and recruiters can sense it too.
Sometimes, the resume isn't even the most important aspect. For big companies like Oracle, what you say and know during the interview and technical tests matters more. The resume is just the very first step.
So, what I've learned along the way can be summed up in two words: uniqueness and dedication.
Now how to Create the Perfect Resume to Land an Internship as a Student ?
1. Keep the design simple:
Avoid extra designs or too many colors. While uniqueness is important, recruiters generally do not favor overly designed resumes.
2. Structure your resume properly:
- The Resume Header
Contact Information:
Full name and title: List your first and last name. Use the title of the role you want instead of your current title.
Professional email address: Use a clean format like [email protected].
Phone number: Choose the number you check most frequently. Record a professional voicemail greeting if yours is too casual.
Address: List only your city and state. Let recruiters know if you're willing to relocate if applicable.
LinkedIn or other professional social media: Include your LinkedIn profile if it's active and relevant. List any portfolios or computer engineering-related sites.
- The Resume Summary
A paragraph where you describe yourself by answering these questions:
What is your professional style? (Use one or two descriptive words such as patient, critical thinker, consensus builder, excellent designer.)
What is your greatest engineering strength?
What will you add to this particular team?
What is your process for building and maintaining computer networks?
What are you proudest of in your career?
Example:
Motivated computer engineering student with a strong foundation in software development and solid analytical and problem-solving skills. Looking for an opportunity to enhance my skills in a challenging professional environment.
- The Employment History Section
Be specific about how you contributed to each position and the impact you made.
List the job title, organization name, dates of employment, and 3–6 bullet points showcasing your achievements.
Start each bullet point with a strong action verb like collaborated or designed.
Highlight significant achievements rather than just listing responsibilities.
If you have no experience, include a projects section. This will act as your experience. Highlight how you worked on each project and your passion for it.
- The Skills Section
Combine hard and soft skills. The skills section is often the first place recruiters look to ensure you have the key abilities they're seeking. Your entire resume should support the skills you list here.
- The Education and Certifications Section
List your education, including any relevant courses or special achievements during your degree. Also, mention any certifications you have, whether from freeCodeCamp, Google, Coursera, etc.
By following these tips, you can create a resume that stands out and showcases your unique strengths and dedication. Good luck with your internship search, and remember to stay true to yourself!

weekly? update (05 - 04 - 23)
I don't know how consistent I'll be with these but I personally like reading updates so maybe everyone else does too?
I haven't done anything different than what I've been doing:
patreon pov chapters: Orion's is done! It finished at 5.6k words but I think with a bit of editing, that'll be more. Discovering Visual Studio Code has made me much more efficient. I'm a messy writer and not organized at all so I tend to be a messy coder, so seeing my work on a timeline live is really helpful. Right now I'm working on Seven's balcony scene and that's already at 2k words and the first choice hasn't even come up yet 😅. Seven's is expectantly going to be quite bulky. Seven's inner-monologue tends to be a lot more emotion driven compared to Orion's and Sev dwells on many little moments often. One look from MC can have me writing a whole paragraph of how Seven feels about that lol. Writing the characters come very naturally now. Writing such a long, aimless paragraph about something like that for Orion feels wrong, but feels very appropriate for Seven.
Right now I have: Orion's office scene, Seven's balcony/hearth scene, and am still torn between Seb's diner or bar scene. Doing both is still in the cards, let's see how I feel! I'm sticking to the prologue for now, and then do rollouts for every chapter like that. I found these POVs really fun and low-stress since the scenes are pretty much laid out for me already. Anyway, for patreon, I think I'm going to start small and just do one tier and call it a day/throw all my extra content in that tier. No fuss for right now. I've gotten quite a bit of DMs asking for more information on bonus content! We'll see, we'll see.
the drabbles: are still happening, though I did hit a pause because Orion's drabble was so long. I started working on Maya's as a palette cleanser so that's fun.
chapter two: is going well! I wrote a late-night bus scene I wanted to write for a while, and it came out really well! This is when I can really just start putting MC in situations that lead to the routes and stuff so it's exciting. Also the competition begins sjssdubssd I have everything laid out in my head. G and Vic get more shine in chapter 2. Which is exciting! Writing the whole long scene with them and MC that I have in my head...I am Very Excited. Of course, it's a bit...
Anyway, that's all! It does look like I write a lot, but I get my energy to write through...writing. Basically, if I feel drained about one thing I work on something else and that helps me feel rejuvenated to get back to the other thing. It helps me keep my mind refreshed!
Hope you're having a good day! and keep...rocking? (that was so bad)(what is a story appropriate send off?)
Don't do anything Orion wouldn't do!

A LLM got 12th in a Leetcode coding contest (probably)
In Weekly Contest 344, a fresh account (gogogoval) solved all 4 problems in 12:13 with commented submissions and test cases that look a lot like LLM code.
This could've been faked, but I doubt it. There are a small group of people in the world (a thousand, maybe) who could solve this contest fast enough to get 12th and add comments (or solve the problems and then feed it to a LLM to add comments), but it would be a very odd thing to do on a fresh account. The code itself also looks like LLM code - it uses techniques like gets on dictionaries (instead of using defaultdicts like most competitive python programmers).
This isn't that impressive. Leetcode contests are pretty easy, and this was an unusually easy contest - all four of the problems are rated easy or medium. Leetcode contests at the top level are about speed, not depth of understanding, so it's not that shocking that a LLM could do very well.
It's still a pretty massive leap. The free version of ChatGPT can solve two of these questions with some prodding, but it's pretty helpless on the other two. In particular, the last problem (the paths through a binary tree) is not trivial - it took me about ten minutes to find and implement a solution last night, and I'm pretty good.
This isn't that big of a deal for competitive coding, but it is a big deal for both Leetcode and the online assessments companies give. I don't know how much prompting or bugfixing it took the human who submitted this code to get the LLM to a correct solution, but either way, it changes the game on how we think about easy problems. We've gone from models that were very dull to a model that could probably pass the first round of a FAANG interview for a new grad. Already, in the week after, a skilled coder used a LLM to solve the first two questions of the Leetcode contest while solving 3 and 4 manually, saving a bunch of time and getting rank 5 in the contest. Easy questions aren't useful discriminators anymore.
This is the first thing I've seen a LLM do that genuinely impressed me. We are steadily approaching a point where either the improvement will slow or these things will have massive economic impact, and I have no idea which will happen.

x-men game!
this project- now known as x-men: xcel- is officially being written and coded! this will be a continually updating game, with no 'full game' release at any point due to the fact this is a passion project and i believe this is easier for me.
the first release is looking like it will cover character creation and basic character/plot introductions. every subsequent update will be either every month or every couple of weeks, depending on how much progress is made.
i am taking suggestions on what could be in the game at this point in time! however i may not take every suggestion offered, so please be kind.
if you are looking to possibly help with this project then please click below:
this is my first time using twine to create a game of this size and as such i do not consider myself a 'master coder' so if you have any HTML or twine skills then please dm me!
if you cannot code but still want to help then these options are available:
playtester (you will be sent smaller updates of the game weekly and you are to tell me any bugs/glitches, ooc moments or even confusing writing you find. if you do not send any feedback within a week then you will not be sent the next weeks progress.)
researcher (you will collect information in a concise way about the necessary characters/plotlines and send it to me)
writer (you will be helping me with writing the game itself, you will need to prove you can be committed to it and that you have the writing skills needed.)
thank you for reading this all and if you feel like you can help in any way then please do feel free to message me!

Meet the Team Spotlights
Get ready to meet the team members behind Focus on the Heart!
We'll be starting the introductions with the Major Leads, whose job it is to keep the project stylistically consistent, narratively cohesive, and always keeping the big picture of our creative aim in mind. Our Major Leads handle the larger aspects of planning, including weekly target goals, keeping track of our progress, but also managing the tiny details to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Our amazing Team Leads will be introduced alongside the LI Character Profiles, and there will be some Team Q&A's to get to know what it is we adore about each character.
Individual introductions of our wonderfully talented writers, artists, coders, and musicians will follow, allowing them to spotlight a creation they are proud of or share a concept/idea they have dreamed of making, and to learn something fun about them too!
Stay tuned!

From DrC17 on Telegram:
PLEASE HELP!!!!
https://www.givesendgo.com/veldhuizencheese
A few weeks ago, (his) personal friends in Texas, who own a dairy and cheese farm going against “big dairy” and “corporate farming”, lost over $350,000 worth of valuable farm equipment in a freak fire.
They had everything insured recently until the insurance company conveniently dropped them due to being “too far from a fire station” (they’re 15 miles from 2 fire stations).
Regulation coders are routinely trying to find ways to harass and shut them down by combing their entire business through every code and regulation bc they are making dairy God’s way and not “corporate dairy way”—visiting them sometimes weekly with “new things” they may be in violation of but that they aren’t.
This family feeds thousands upon thousands of people, and a family of four generations works in this business that desperately needs help from you guys to stay afloat after this fire. They are one of the few dairy farms standing in the way of “corporate dairy” taking over Texas.
If you would please consider donating even $5-$20 or more to help them continue to stand it would mean the world to me.
Please Repost and thank you !!!!

Note
if we have another month of no updates, I will be withdrawing all financial support. it took discord players hounding for an update of ANY kind for Q to post the mostly updateless update. we are 3 days into the week with no weekly update/post so it feels like another broken promise on LW's behalf.. oh and we STILL haven't gotten Lorch rewards.. please just pick a schedule and release even small QoL/typo/bug updates regularly, if the coders can't handle that then it is pretty worrisome for the longevity of the game.

procedure codes are standardized⁤ alphanumeric codes used in medical billing to describe⁤ the services and procedures rendered ⁤to ‌patients. These ⁤codes ⁣serve⁤ several purposes:
Facilitating accurate billing⁢ and ‍reimbursement
Providing data for healthcare statistics⁤ and research
Enabling effective dialogue between providers and payers
Types‌ of Procedure Codes
1. ⁤Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes
Developed and maintained ⁢by the American Medical Association (AMA), CPT codes are ⁤used to represent medical procedures and ‍services. These codes ‌are crucial for billing Medicare and private insurers. They are divided into three categories:
Category
Description
Example
Category I
Procedures, ⁤services, and evaluation/management.
99213 (Established⁣ patient‌ office visit)
Category II
Performance measures and tracking codes.
4011F (Hypertension diagnosis)
Category ‍III
Emerging technologies,services,and procedures.
0071T (Coronary artery imaging)
2. Healthcare Common Procedure Coding ‍System (HCPCS) Codes
HCPCS codes, developed by ⁤CMS, are⁤ used primarily for billing and identifying products, supplies, and services⁣ not covered‌ by CPT codes. They consist of two levels:
Level I: identical to CPT codes.
Level II: Alphanumeric‌ codes ⁤for non-physician services and products.
Why Mastering Procedure‌ Codes is⁣ Critically important
Understanding and mastering procedure‍ codes in medical billing is ‌crucial for several reasons:
Improved Reimbursement: Accurate coding leads to⁣ appropriate reimbursement ‍from insurers.
Reduced Claim Denials: Proper coding minimizes errors that can result in claim denials or delays.
Enhanced‍ Compliance: ‍Staying compliant with ⁤coding regulations protects your ⁢practice from audits⁢ and ‍penalties.
Practical Tips for Mastering Procedure Codes
Here are some valuable tips to help healthcare professionals‌ become proficient in procedure coding:
Stay Updated: Regularly ‌review updates to CPT and HCPCS codes to‍ remain compliant with coding changes.
Utilize Coding Resources: Invest in coding books, online databases,⁤ and coding software for reference.
Engage in Continuous Learning: Attend workshops and courses ⁢to improve your coding knowledge and skills.
Network with‍ Other Professionals: Join coding associations and forums to exchange insights and ⁣best⁣ practices.
Case⁣ Studies: Real-World Applications
To illustrate the importance‌ of mastering procedure codes, let’s consider a couple of hypothetical⁢ case studies:
Case Study⁤ 1: A Family Practice
A family‌ practice began experiencing ⁤higher ‍claim denials related to ⁤E&M codes. After conducting an⁢ internal audit,⁢ they discovered that staff members were occasionally using the wrong ⁢codes. ⁤By retraining their staff on the importance of proper code selection, they substantially reduced denials and improved revenue collection.
Case Study 2: A Specialty Clinic
A specialty clinic focused on surgeries was struggling with coding for new procedures. They implemented a weekly coding review session that involved physicians, billers, and coders collaborating. This initiative helped improve accuracy and increased their reimbursement rate by 20% within three months.
First-Hand Experience: Coding Challenges
As⁤ a ‌coding specialist with over a decade of experience, ⁤I can attest to the⁢ challenges faced in mastering procedure⁤ codes. challenges often stem from⁤ the rapid evolution of coding guidelines and regulatory ‍requirements. ⁤It’s essential to foster a culture of continuous education ⁣and to remain engaged with ⁣the latest coding trends and guidelines to overcome these challenges.
Conclusion
Mastering‌ procedure codes in medical billing is an ongoing journey that requires dedication, education, and adaptability. Understanding CPT and HCPCS codes is essential for healthcare professionals to‌ ensure ‌accurate billing, lower denial rates, and optimize patient care. Embrace‍ continuous learning, stay connected with colleagues, and ‍leverage resources available in the industry‌ to enhance your coding skills. By⁢ doing so, you will not only improve‌ your practice’s financial‍ health but also provide better patient⁤ outcomes.

MadPea Unlimited Unlocked For 6 Months
Tumblr media
Happy New Year 2025! This is my first post of the New Year, and honestly, I'm always watching for interactive and fun things to do in Second Life when I have some downtime from reality. Also, I can thank a user in Second Life who recognized I was the writer of this blog and took the photo below at the MadPea sim. (Thank you Mr.Archloch - unso.choche)
Tumblr media
Along my travels, I came across a post on Tumblr, I thought it was a scam or a joke until I realized it was from the official Second Life page. Second Life partnered with MadPea to provide all Second Life residents with 6 months of MadPea unlimited starting January 1st. So today! You don't need to do anything special to explore everything "Unlimited" has to offer. You can just choose the game sim you want to play and begin the adventure! Currently, they are on Season 1 as they start over with different games every single year.

What is MadPea Unlimited?
MadPea Unlimited has been out for a while, this is where you typically would pay 12,000 Lindens to explore a multitude of interactive gaming adventures within Second Life. It would give you access to all the game sims created by the writers, coders, and the rest of the MadPea team to explore and experience.
What is Included?

If you want to try out MadPea's gaming experiences and everything they have to offer, now is the time to do so. I'm so excited to be able to have the chance to try out MadPea Unlimited. As stated above I never shelled out the money for it because I didn't know what to expect and was hesitant. I'm glad I waited and now can experience it so I know in the future whether or not this is something I would spend 12,000 Lindens on. In a future post, I will be posting about the new Season 1 game experience once I've played through it with my review of "The Naughty List Murders" & "Chapter 3, Jewel of the Nile - An Egyptian Adventure Game" which just came out today January 1st.
