Summary: As a 25-year-old prodigy, you managed to capture the likeness of the original Task Force 141 - with your skills of governmental hacking, intelligence and manipulation they have recruited you to their team. However, the 5 of you were assigned to take down Umbrella Inc and their corrupt employees. It was in your hands to stop a bio-terrorist attack from furthering the plummet of Raccoon City, yet again, and upon landing, you were greeted by a certain DSO Agent who will join you on the mission, Leon S. Kennedy, though, he didn’t really make a great first impression…

Prologue:

“Aye, las..” Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley greeted, his accent thick and heavy, determination glossing over in his eyes; his hands gripping the SC-2010 - a fully automatic assault rifle, as he looked the smaller girl over.

“Are you ready for the mission?” He asked, shuffling in his spot, his usual expression stoic, but was covered by his skull-patterned balaclava.

“As I’ll ever be.” She smiled, cocking her gun, her eyes glinting as she looked her weapon over.

“Captain Price, Soap and Gaz will meet us in the city.” Simon began, “Raccoon City…” He finished, slight judgement in his voice. “What kind of fuckin’ name is that?” He scoffed.

“One that smells like it’s filled with zombies from a recent bio-terrorist attack.” She replied, placing her prized weapon in the holster of her thigh, hinting towards the mission ahead.

“I’d say you’d be bloody right.” Simon said, a light chuckle leaving him as he slung his rifle over his shoulder, a faint smile hidden behind the fabric. “Come on, las. Time to save the world... once again..”He joked, turning on his heel, and heading off to the helicopter at the helipad, “Price, Soap and Gaz are already at the shit show…”

The Helicopter door remained open as Ghost stood inside of it, leaning against the doorframe, his arms crossed over his armoured chest, as he surveyed the area, looking out onto the city. His eyes scanning every building and street they flew over. Ghost wasn’t going to underestimate this. They’d been through too much to die here. He’d kill every last zombie if he had to. No matter what.

“Land ‘er down, ‘ere, Pilot” Ghost instructed, pointing to the ground below.

(Y/n) soon followed, her feet touching the ground. Her eyes gazing around the area, her gun in hand as her senses alerted her of the dangers that lurked beyond the ground. “What is our next move, sir.” She asked, turning to Ghost, as the pilot sped off.

“Our first move is to locate Price and the others in this Godforsaken city…” He muttered, “Then we make another plan from there.” He finished.

“Affirmative.” (Y/n) answered, before taking point, her mind and senses on full alert as she ventured into the city, every nook and cranny, every street and building, there was no chance that she’d miss anything that was even a remote threat to the pair.

Ghost followed close behind, taking a moment to look around the area, beginning his own surveillance of his surroundings while simultaneously following after the woman in front of him.

The two made their way down the empty and desolate streets, neither of them was in the mood for talking.

The silence was loud.

The rustling of the wind and distant groans and moans were the only thing that broke the quiet, aside from the constant squeaking of their footsteps.

Turning to an alleyway, (Y/n) spoke up, “Seems like this city’s been evacuated.” She took a deep breath, “Must’ve had some shitty luck to get caught up in the middle of it…”

“I don‘t believe in luck.” Ghost muttered, a hint of desolation in his voice, as he looked over towards (Y/n), “I believe we make our own luck. Bad or good.” He finished, before looking back to keep an eye out for the other members of the team. His eyes scanning the rooftops of the buildings, searching for the tell-tale signs of his brothers in arms.

Price, Soap and Gaz.

Soon enough, (Y/n) caught the sound of gunfire and shouting from a few blocks away, she instantly turned to Ghost “There!” She hollered, pointing over in the direction of the loud noises. “That’s where they must be!” She continued, before beginning to sprint off in the direction of the noise.

Ghost groaned under his mask, before following after her, his strides long and powerful, keeping up with the Sergeant with ease.

As the duo reached the noise, they soon found that the sounds of gunfire and shouting were coming from a large Police Station to the right. “Well it’s a start.” (Y/n) answered, a huff escaping her lips as she looked over the station. Her hand gripping her gun, her mind racing and scanning the building.

Ghost remained silent, choosing instead to study every inch of the place, his mask concealing his emotions.

“Put your weapon down!”

They heard a familiar voice as they got closer… It was Captain Price.

Ghost’s eyes darted towards the chaos that was unfolding; Price, Soap and Gaz held a man at gunpoint.

His eyes narrowed under his mask, as Ghost studied the situation.

Whoever this guy was, he was important. Why else would Price be trying to detain him?

“Get down on the ground!” Soap commanded, his gun at the ready. “Hands behind ‘yer back!” He shouted, as the gentleman before him slowly knelt down, his hands placed behind his head still holding onto his gun; a cocky grin, appearing across his face.

Gaz was quick to swoop under the man’s arms, forcing him to the ground as he held him tightly. He dropped his gun and Soap kicked it to the side, far away from the person who was once holding it, he grunted, that same shit-eating grin on his face.

Ghost looked over, before approaching the group. “Price?” He asked, as he eyed the man in front of them, his gun still raised as a threat. “What’s going on ‘ere?” He followed up, his eyes falling over the police station in front of him, his mind searching for potential threats or weaknesses in its structure.

“He calls himself Leon S. Kennedy…” Price spoke, not taking his eyes off the dark brunette.

(Y/n) looked over at the guy now known as Leon, her eyes full of judgment as he knelt on the ground being held by Gaz.

What kind of idiot gets himself into a situation like this?

I'm playing infinite warfare and I started thinking about something. Let's suppose that in the future, humanity has colonized Mars and the humans who were born on Mars declare independence there. What would it be like to revisit this game?

This isn't the first time that cod has done this. Mw puts the Russians as villains and there are cod russian fans, as well as the Federation (all Latin American countries) and China.

If any Martians are reading this, welcome to the club of cod fans who are from countries that are villains in the games.

HOLY SHIT, I JUST CAME UP WITH SOMETHING GENIUS. Anytime price or anyone goes shopping, they always get a bag of cheese for grim. Grim and Soap have a little siblings relationship, so of course grim is going to share hangouts with him, i.e. The top of the fridge (don't ask how soap fits up there, no one including himself knows), one time, grim was eating their shredded cheese while watching something on Netflix with soap. Grim noticed soap kept looking at their cheese, now, grim is absolutely terrible at people, but they did what they thought was best, and shoved a fistful of cheese into soaps mouth, then stared at him, waited for him to chew and swallow, then gave him the bag of shredded cheese. After wards they bent over the top of the fridge, opened it, and got out another packet of shredded cheese. Now, both grim and Soap like to sit on top of the fridge and eat cheese together. Ghost once walked in on this, It was 2 a.m. and all he needed was his midnight drink. From on top of the fridge, he hears chewing, turns the lights on and sees Soap and Grim eating the shredded cheese, They hiss at him and Ghost just walks away.

Another time, when KorTac was visiting the base, Ghost wanted to prank his good old friend König and made him walk to the common room kitchen to get him some water around 1 a.m. König hears chewing, thinking it is a rat, when he turns the lights on and sees Grim and Soap, he falls to the floor and then scatters out of the room screaming for Ghost.

My intention with this poll is to satisfy my own curiosity. So far on my previous poll, 68ish people have answered: "I have no intention to play or watch" the CoD games. I personally can't create without the strong emotional connection I get from canon, so I'd love to know how it works for someone who hasn't engaged in a piece of media but creates for it. I did my best to think of reasons why someone might do that, I hope I covered everything without sounding like an ass.

What would be the cod of 2026?

I ended up remembering this after seeing someone freaking out on Twitter because they wanted a ghosts 2. Based on the leaks we have, the next cod will have omninovement and will have maps from mw 3 remastered. Now, what are the possibilities?

First, we need to remember how the development of a cod works. We already know that Activision is the distributor of the games, but the developers are Infinity Ward, Treyarch and Sledgehammer. In the order I wrote it is their development order, each code has 3 years of development, while two are launching their cods, one has its own development time.

But due to Activision's management, this development order became a mess. Before, each developer had its own cod and none of them mixed so as not to interfere with the development of their own game. Now that this is finally explained, let's get to the theories.

1- Modern Warfare 4.

Infinity Ward has always been responsible for the mw franchise, so it's obvious that the next cod will be mw 4. But how are they going to do that? We don't know, to be honest, they're taking this cow called mw and squeezing it to its last breath.

What are your theories? Mine is that they're going to try to add new characters to try to take the story to the original point before mw3 existed, remembering that mw3 only exists because of the mess that Activision caused, originally it would have 3 years of development and would be released in 2025. But since everything was rushed in 2023, they had to put aside the lore they were building to make a shorter and faster one for this DLC disguised as a game.

Is it possible that Soap will come back? No, that skin that people were saying was the Soap from mw4 is actually Soap from zombies that takes place years before mw3.

2- Ghosts 2.

Just like mw, ghosts is an Infinity Ward game, even if they treat it as if it never existed. I think it's unlikely that ghosts will have a sequel, but recently it has gained a certain recognition that it didn't even have when it was released, whether it's new fans discovering Ghosts without having the filter of that era, nostalgic fans emerging or simps (yes, they know you exist).

And in case you didn't know, ghosts exist in the codverse and there are 3 references to them in mw2. (Yes, I'm giving hope to deluded fans, let's put on our clown makeup)

But what would the plot be? They could re-release ghosts so that it fits into the codverso, or maybe risk continuing the plot of the first ghosts, but that could cause some plot holes.

3- Infinite Warfare.

For the same reason as the previous ones, iw is a cod made by infinity ward, but it is also one of the games that the developers want to pretend never existed. This is the hardest to happen in my opinion because it is quite hated by the fans, and to be honest, it is like a game that has the name Call of Duty, but is not a cod.

Well, if it were an original game it would even be famous, but the fact that it has the name Call of Duty ends up creating expectations in the public, this ends up harming iw because it does not follow the same style as other cod.

4- Advanced Warfare.

Even though aw is not a cod by infinity ward, did you know that there are references to it in mw3? The same happens with bo6, in fact it is common to have references to future cods, but not all of them can be taken seriously because ideas can change over time. In this case, these references are in an intel that talks about the protagonist of aw, Mitchell, so maybe this next game could take place before aw?

And a curiosity for you, there was a sequel to aw being made, but it was canceled because Activision realized that the sales of futuristic cods were making less money. But at least they canceled it so that we could have bo6, maybe someday futuristic cods will come back.
