"What have you done to ALEX, Hadir?"

"I let him go. To give the message to my sister that I just want a truce. For us to work together."

"Tch. You should know your sister by now that she'll never accept that truce. Not after what you just did 3 years ago."

“I know. But that was from the past and I’m doing this for HER.”

“IF you are doing this for her. Then stop this. What you are doing is going to cause a WAR between your people and the Russians.”

“Then let's be WAR! I will not yield against these Russian rats to take what belongs to US!”

“Hadir…”

"And we'll see about my sister. But in case she does reject my offer. I…was hoping that you’ll accept this.”

“...What?”

“Join with me, Aelan. And I promise you that we’ll be together. Side by side. Forever.”

“.........”

“Please.”

“......I would rather DIE with that warhead instead of being with you.”

“.......fine then. You may rot here to DIE. But I’ll be waiting if you ever change your mind. Take her somewhere where she can’t escape. The rest of you, come with me.”

A/N: Just a little WIP that I've been having it in my head! The time when Aelan went with Alex and the LF team to check on something in that abandoned bunker. Alex and Aelan went separated. Aelan went by herself though since she knows she can handle herself. Until they were already been put down by Hadir and his men. But he spared Alex and told him to send the message to his sister while he keeps Aelan as hostage in case Alex would do anything to stupid to betray him. And THAT is when these two started to talk. I believe that Aelan is his second choice to have someone by his side. But as expected, this doctor is quite stubborn to accept this kind of offer. UGH! The Trope from "LOVERS to ENEMIES" had really riled me up for these two! Hehehe! Expect this coming for the future!

Not to go full angst or anything but also oh boy loving both Karim siblings. Meeting them for the first time when you're only a little kid visiting your family before it all fell apart. Not seeing them again until visiting your own family member in prison and finding that the siblings who you played with all summer are there. Older, hurt, but still somehow managing to greet you like an old friend.

You visit them, try to get them out and cry in frustration at being so useless when you can't.

You've never been much a solider but when they get out you want so badly to help so you learn whatever it is they need. And fuck do you care for the two of them.

You watch anger and grief turn Hadir violent. You watch it turn Farah to allies she never would have considered in the past. You scream and rage and cry the day Hadir asks you to come with him after leaving Farah and Alex in a cloud of gas having betrayed them. You try to convince him that he's making the wrong choice, but honestly you don't know for sure. You've seen what the Russians have done to his country. You're angry too. Nothing ever seems to change and it kills you as much as it kills him.

Maybe you go with him by choice, maybe he just takes you because he can't stand to leave you. Either way you are there when Farah confronts her brother. You are stuck between these two people you love and you can't do a fucking thing to make this situation end well. They are both looking to you to choose a side, but it's so impossible an ask. How do you put your love into boxes and weigh them to see which holds more?

Teeth Headcanons for Modern Warfare Characters

this one feels shorter to me but I have a feeling that just means I'll be writing more about them in the future! >:]

Farah and Hadir

Farah and Hadir didn’t have the luxury of dental care during their adolescence (obviously). So their teeth came in how they did and that was that. Hadir has far more crooked teeth than Farah does. He lost both his top and bottom right premolars (the ones right behind the canines) in a ‘swept-under-the-rug’ beating during the first year of his imprisonment giving his right canine teeth space to stretch out and become crooked. As for his left, he lost his upper canine in a fight with a Russian guard at age 19. Hadir has never given his teeth any thought, genetics weren’t in his favor in the straight teeth department before anyway (Fig 1 & 2). His right front incisor got chipped when he was pushed into some concrete too, causing it to look sharp (Fig 3). Hadir doesn’t brush his teeth often, if at all, but he does oil-pull with whatever plant oil he can find, which at least keeps the gingivitis at bay. Lmao!

Farah somehow got away without losing any of her teeth, and they actually came surprisingly straight considering what he brother’s genetics would have indicated. (Fig 5 & 6) She used to oil-pull like Hadir but after hanging out with Alex ‘oh-so-good-at-taking-care-of-his-teeth’ Keller, Farah has taken up brushing her teeth at night (and maybe trying out his Waterpik a few times… for the experience.)

Both Farah and Hadir were able to let their wisdom teeth grow in entirely, lucky them.

(Also, Farah and Hadir both have front incisors that press slightly on each other and are shaped in a way that makes them form a slight v in the front which I, OP, thought was an interestingly similar characteristic that made them look much like siblings. (Fig 3 & 4)!!!! )

So far I’ve been figuring that the character's teeth were just the actor/actress's teeth but Hadir made me realize this isn’t entirely true, compared to his actor (fig 7 & 8) Hadir has much worse off teeth and that makes so much sense for his backstory!

Hadir Ahmed Karim

Combat Lieutenant, Urzikstan Liberation Force (ULF)

Hadir is a fighter in the Urzikstan Liberation Force, serving as a combat Lieutenant,reporting directly to his older sister, Farah. Together, they fight to protect, rescueand free their country from Russian occupation. Hadir’s father was a professor,his mother, a civil servant for her district in Urzikstan, both respected in theirmiddle class community. Like his parents, Hadir has always sought to makesomething of himself, but grew up in an uncivil world of war-torn streets and death around every corner.

Hadir’s life changed irreparably whenGeneral Barkov’s rogue army rolled into Urzikstan and in a matter of minutes, imposed theirwill, blanketing his hometown with ordnance and poison gas. One minute, Hadir wasdoing homework and the next, he was trying to escape rifles, gas bombsand capture. Too young, small and scared, Hadir has alwaysbeen haunted by guilt over his inability to render more aide. With thehelp of his sister Farah, they attempted to escape, but were both apprehended and taken to a prison camp.  

Losing his family, his home and his innocence, like many in his generation, he and his sister Farah grew up in prison without guidance, education or moral instruction. These events fomented a violent and aggressive streak. For Hadir, warplanes, enemy tanks and checkpoints were a normal part of his daily life. After helping his sister lead a rebellion to break free from Barkov’s POW camp, he became a prominent figure and an influence on emerging combatants. Here, he shaped his personality and reputation as a hostile, cunning guerilla fighter. Because he was there when the shelling started, Hadir is viewed as someone to be trusted by his community and beyond.

Left an angry and restless soul with the heart of a warrior, Hadir learned to keep his cards, feelings and plans to himself. Secretive, not through deviousness, but because he had to be to survive. Farah and Hadir see eye to eye on their ultimate goal – to liberate their people – but don’t always align on tactics or strategy. Today, Hadir is Farah’s lieutenant, but differs with his sister philosophically when it comes to battle.

Hadir has never been beyond the borders of his country and often returns to his birth city to lead counter occupation attacks. "I couldn't, because my dad and mum are buried here," he says. “I didn’t want to be away from them. Now, it is time to go wherever we must, to achieve victory.” Hadir considers more aggressive actions to be a necessary part of liberating his people. His singular purpose is to defeat those occupying his land by any means necessary.

Alex Keller

Our little American is the sweetest man here.

He’s one respectful, kind and loving man (not like the others aren’t) but he’s the type who just knows what’s going on with you by a simple look

He calls you names like ‘baby’ ‘sweetheart’

He’s got a list of jokes he wants to tell you, and has told you the CIA one a few times in hopes that it does soon become funny

Loves it when you tell him stupid jokes as well

Phillip Graves

Pet names like ‘sweetheart’ ‘honey’ ‘doll’ ‘baby’. Stupid little ones you expect southern Americans to use (for obvious reasons)

He doesn’t like leaving for missions when you and him got together, he wanted to be with you and give you all the love you deserve

So, since he can’t always be there, he would drown you in gifts and affection the minute he got home.

He usually tries to show this all the time, but you know that sometimes he just simply comes back completely and utterly mentally and physically exhausted.

He can’t say much about what he does, but he can still somewhat confine in you (as much as he insists he’s okay)

Nikolai

King of forehead kisses. You cannot tell me otherwise.

He’s talk asf (well, he’s taller than me and I’m short asf), so he can just tower over you and plant soft kisses over your head.

He’s older too, so he’s screaming major respect and being a decent man that you might not find in younger lads (for example the boys my age -.-)

He was also reluctant at first to be with you, his age was one thing as the age gap between you and him was a little too large for his liking.

However, you heavily grew on this man and he couldn’t help but FINALLY admit his feelings.

RUSSIAN NICKNAMES

Most of the time you don’t know what he’s called you, but, hey-ho, at least it’s something.

Has, at least once, insulted you in Russian without you knowing and covered it up as a pet name (you never heard him call you it more than once)

Hadir Karim

Hadir knows how it feels to loose those who are close to him, he’s practically lost his entire family due to the war going on in Urzikstan.

When he first met you, he wasn’t planning on falling in love with you, let alone date you.

However, one things leads to another and the two of you ended up getting together (yipeee)

His worst fear is losing you, after everyone he’s lost, he doesn’t want to lose another.

If you’re a solider, he’s mostly watching out for you when you’re fighting, waiting for the moment that he might have to jump in and make sure you don’t die.

It’s an extreme, of course, he knows you are completely capable of taking care of yourself, but caution didn’t kill the cat, curiosity did, and he’s happy to admit he’s not curious to see if you could survive the worse of the worst.

Speaks little sentences to you in Arabic, he doesn’t care if you understand or not (he hopes that, one day, you’ll be able to catch onto certain phrases and words)

Thinking about Farah keeping a picture with her.

It was one her Baba took to commemorate Farah's first time fasting in ramadhan.

In said picture she was having a food coma after eating too much at her first iftaar, Hadir was making fun of her, while her Mama was laughing softly as she let her daughter sleep in her lap.
