Hi! Do you know for how many years Louis’ current team has been with him? At least the main ones like his band, grooming, Helen, management? I was scrolling down on Louis’ insta and saw Helen’s comment back in 2017 and was like 🤔
hi anon 😊
this has been in my inbox for a while since it a big q and I've been on holiday on and off.. but here is a good bit of background info for you :
Helen Seamons has indeed worked with Louis since 2017. afaik she first styled Louis for the Observer Mag article shoot on 2/5/17. later that month Louis was styled by both Helen and Krystle for the Back To You music video and they have both been part of his team ever since. Helen has also had a few styling assistants working with her for Louis over the years, like Bemi Shaw (TXF 2018), Peter Bevan (since 2021) and Roz Donoghue (since 2022 I think?)
as for management, we first heard about Louis signing with Three Six Zero and Mark Gillespie for management in July 2018, around the time Louis started filming TXF, but it had probably happened a while before that (at least I believe that Mark - and Matt Vines too - had a hand in the way TXF was used as a reintroduction of Louis to both fans and the general public, and that deal had to have been made earlier that year). at some point however Louis seems to have switched from Gillespie and Three Six Zero to be managened by Matt Vines at Seven 7 Managent (or at least co-managed, because Vines has ties to Gillespie and Three Six Zero; he was VP of Artist Management at Three Six Zero’s UK branch before starting his own management co. Seven 7 in 2016) - who he’s still with today.
the band is a looong story.. as you may know Louis first put a band together back in 2017 for Miss You promo and a few performances like Royal Variety. Zak Craner was part of that band and is the only one still in Louis' touring band now. (tho Rich Zbaraski who was also in the 2017 band replaced Matt on bass for a few gig in 2022). sometime after Louis' time on TXF, probably in early 2019, a new band was formed. we don't have all the details but I believe Matt Vines brought in Steve Durham (who it seems he knew already) and had him put a band together (Matt Dinnadge talks about this in the video interview he did during the pandemic). the initail lineup, which we saw briefly for Two Of Us promo, consisted of Steve Durham (musical director, drums), Zak Craner (keys), Michael Blackwell (guitar) and Charlie Fowler (bass). later that year when Louis came back for the release of Kill My Mind the music video featured the same band except Matt Dinnadge had replaced Fowler on bass. Matt’s first live gig with Louis was Coca Cola Music Festival in Madrid. Isaac Anderson (rhythm guitar) was added to the band later in 2019 - his very first live show with Louis was the Telehit performance in Mexico City ! and those five have made up the band ever since ☺️
hope that’s the info you were looking for!
if you're on desktop you can try these links for various tags in chronological order:

How do we Boycott Correctly?
( transcript of BDS video made by Abdallah Denwar + ressources)
We can split the products we're boycotting into 4 categories:
A. Products made in Israel: Most of them are not distributed in the Arab region but activists in the West have begun to talk about them and raise awareness on the necessity of boycotting them. (including: Ahava cosmetics, Sabra Hummus, SodaStream...etc.)
B. Products that enable the Occupation: Carrefour is involved in real estate projects within the settlements, HP provides technologies and software systems that facilitate the monitoring and suppression of Palestinians in and outside prisons. CATerpillar designed bulldozers dedicated to the occupations which contributed to the demolition of Palestinians' infrastructure and demolish their homes and Puma is the official sponsor of the Israeli national football team.
C. Brands supporting the Israeli State: this is the most important thing we have a role in because these are the products that are directly involved in our lives. Food, drinks, skincare perfumes and so on. Cutting these products is influential because:
1) we are pressuring companies whose founders support the occupation and directly decreasing their profits.
2) we plant fear within any new companies from considering future partnerships with occupation, thus losing their credibility as a natural entity that can create successful economic relations.
3) we provide opportunities for local products to develop and increase their production.
(products including: Starbucks, McDonald's, Nestle, Coca-Cola, Papa John's, Disney+, Marks & Spencer, L'Oréal, Domino's, Maggi, Nestle...etc)
D. Events and activations by the occupation: Includes Conferences, concerts and tours of artists that take place Events and activities include art exhibits, film screenings, festival, plays, conferences, performances (music, dance, etc.), tours, among other activities.

Thoughts on "Super Black Friday"
O.K. K.O. has two Halloween specials, a Valentine's special, and the Thanksgiving/Black Friday special. Both Halloween specials focus on Enid's respective relationship with her family and friends, her cultural identity, and the potential conflict of interest between her ninja training and spooky heritage. The Valentine's special explores Rad and Enid's failed relationship and that there's just as much, if not greater, value in their developing friendship. In both cases, the holiday is more a backdrop to a character-focused story. "Super Black Friday" breaks form and adopts the framework of a more paint-by-numbers holiday special.
Tumblr media
Rad, Enid, and K.O. miss Shucksgiving because they have to work the holiday. Then Mr. Gar decides to close up the shop because he's convinced by the team's commiserating about wanting to be home for the holidays. As soon as they close up and walk out, they find a line that wraps around the entire Plaza. Its cartoon imagery on par with the tents, sleeping bags, and otherwise people bring to camp out in that vie to be the first one at the midnight book drop or newest console release. In this case, the long lines are in the hopes to grab Blorby, the hot and must-have toy. Its a blue slime in a box that slightly jiggles. Blorby isn't inspired by anything specific. There's always a revolving door of ridiculous, gimmicky toys that get heavily marketed and its random chance which one is the shelf-clearer this year vs last year and etc.
Tumblr media
As Rad, Enid, and K.O. try to figure out what to do about the line, they're approached by Principal Claus; this cartoon's take on Santa Claus. He has the hallmarks of pop culture Santa Claus but he swapped out his Coca Cola red suit for a business casual polo and old man suspenders. Principal Claus is determined to teach these three about the magic of the Black Friday line via the Charles Dickens Christmas Carol brand of pixie dust and swapping out the classic ghosts of past, present or future with various pedestrians waiting in line. Look, the line fosters potentially long-lasting friendships through kicky bag games. People stay warm with cups of coffee brewed from a questionable source. There's pricey, gimmicky burritos in lieu of a lavishly home-cooked meal!
All of these are presented by Claus with the same appeal that some holiday well-wisher presents to a Scrooge figure in any other cartoon or holiday story. Rather than it being a genuine sell, there's constant eyebrow raises on the part of the characters themselves or visual gags. While Beardo makes a delicious burrito, K.O. didn't anticipate the cost. He assumed it was free based on Claus using Beardo's burrito as part of his argument in favor of Black Friday holiday spirit. The free coffee wasn't a generous extra from the coffee shop. It was brewed in Joe Cuppa's mug head. Considering what other uses Joe has for said coffee, its a potential health risk instead of a sweet gesture and convenient pick-me-up. Its strictly fuel to stay awake and maintain a spot in line.
Tumblr media
K.O., Rad, and Enid try to fly away from the Plaza, but Principal Claus hard lines that his magic can't be used to escape. When the ghosts keep Scrooge locked in to their demonstrations, the goal is to show him real consequences and make him reconsider his cruel, miserly behavior. Claus' demonstrations are more like the mandatory PowerPoint a tone deaf CEO presents on company loyalty to a demoralized team after a round of layoffs. Whatever holiday spirit K.O., Rad, and Enid express is a hollow echo of Claus as a teacher and authority figure rather than genuine interest.
When Darrell and Shannon show up, any other cartoon would have them joining in the festivities or making a truce for the sake of the holiday. It'd be either a truce or they serve as the boilerplate "true enemy" of the holiday. The reformed Scrooge protagonist would help Santa or whomever else fend off their villain. K.O. and friends gear up to fight the Boxbots, but Principal Claus steps in, takes over the fight, and swiftly kicks the Bots out. He even comments that the Bots would be welcome to join the Black Friday community if they weren't deliberately trying to cause trouble. There's so much delicious irony in Principal Claus bringing such earnest holiday spirit to something like Black Friday. He will defend the sanctity of this tradition with clenched fists and teeth.
Santa is usually depicted as a sweet, humble figure. He and his workshop work towards tediously handcrafting toys in hopes of bringing joy to kids around the world. He's illustrated as noble, charming, wholesome. He's also the poster boy for a holiday that's been co-opted as the peak of consumerism and commercialism. Pop culture Christmas is all about keeping up with the Joneses; the materialistic need for bigger and shinier and more.
Tumblr media
Black Friday is especially notorious as the image for the darker side and consequences of rampant consumerism. People get into frenzies and fist fights over the illusion of a 'good deal' on a deeply discounted flat screen TV. There's no glitter and fuzzy lights like Christmas dresses up with. Christmas at least tries to offset the capitalism with some kind of message about family bonding and giving back. With Black Friday, its all about steep discounts and one day only sales; playing on someone's FOMO. Its the one day that companies can be more aggressively and unashamedly boldfaced about sales than any other time. Posing Principal Claus as the staunch defender of Black Friday is social commentary on par with what cartoons like Venture Bros pulls on a wide variety of topics. Its bold. Its blatant. There's no punches pulled. And I honestly wouldn't expect a cartoon like O.K. K.O. to have this gut punch of a take on Santa, but it fits. Its a hint at how subversive the writing can get when the team wants to; its something that can snap between honestly wholesome and surprisingly insightful.
"Super Black Friday" triples down with customers storming the Bodega, fighting, trampling people, and ultimately leaving a mess. They're more polite than the real life equivalent, but the message about the true, chaotic nature behind Black Friday is loud and clear. The episode ultimately ends on a sweet note. Mr. Gar decides to close on holidays and switch to a new tradition of sharing pie with Carol and his employees instead. The takeaway is that traditions aren't set in stone; they're made up and can be changed, modified, and updated. The core should be a sweet gesture or practice that brings people together and encourages bonding.
Tumblr media
While Principal Claus attempts to soapbox about this point, it rings hollow. That's a huge part of why this commentary works so well. Every 'tradition' in the parking lot line immediately falls apart as soon as the Bodega doors open. The 'holiday spirit' that other Christmas specials allude to is empty if the holiday sentiments apply strictly to just that holiday and fall apart immediately after. The pie scene is a celebration; its a true come together comradery moment because it reflects the real time and bond these characters have in daily life. The point is comparing artificial and forced sentiment to something earned and genuine. There's no way to fit Black Friday into the heartfelt mold of other winter holidays. It doesn't fit and it's absurd to even fake this event fitting.

AL.com: Legendary R&B singer retiring after 54 years: ‘It’s been a great ride through the decades’
Frankie Beverly, the charismatic frontman of Maze, has announced that he’ll retire this year, after a farewell tour with the R&B band that made him famous.
Tumblr media
Six shows were announced this week for Beverly’s “I Wanna Thank You Farewell Tour,” including an April 6 concert at the Mobile Fairgrounds, also known as The Grounds. The dates start on March 22 at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, and end on May 12 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. More tour stops will be announced in the weeks and months to come, according to a press release.
Tumblr media
Beverly, 77, is a favorite in Alabama, playing to cheering crowds at concert venues and festivals throughout the state. His signature tunes with Maze range from electric funk to romantic jams to classic R&B, and include “Southern Girl,” “Back in Stride,” “We Are One,” “Golden Time of Day,” “Can’t Get Over You,” “The Morning After,” “Joy and Pain” and “Happy Feelin’s.”
Fans needn’t worry, however, that the band will be defunct when Beverly makes his exit. He plans to hand the microphone to Tony Lindsay, best known as the lead singer for Santana. The band name will change when Beverly leaves, transitioning from Maze Featuring Frankie Beverly to Maze Honoring Frankie Beverly.
Tumblr media
“I want to share with my lifelong fans and associates that I’ll be going out on the road one last time, then retire,” Beverly said in a statement to Billboard magazine. “Thank you so much for the support given to me for over 50 years as I pass on the lead vocalist torch to Tony Lindsay. The band will continue on as Maze Honoring Frankie Beverly. It’s been a great ride through the decades. Let the music of my legacy continue.”
Tumblr media
Beverly founded Maze in 1970 in his hometown of Philadelphia, initially calling the group Raw Soul. The band changed its name in the mid-’70s, released several albums, 1977-1993, and developed a loyal following throughout the country. Beverly’s all-white attire on stage is one of his trademarks, along with his smooth baritone voice and ability to connect with the crowd.
Tumblr media

Beverly and Maze have performed many times in Birmingham over the years, at venues that range from Boutwell Auditorium to the Alabama Theatre to the former City Stages festival. A concert typically becomes a big ol’ dance party when Beverly and Maze take the stage; in fact, some ticketholders have been known to bring maracas and use them for appreciative percussion.
Beverly’s farewell tour is produced by the Black Promoters Collective. “Beverly is embarking in this farewell tour before slowing down to enjoy life in his California Bay Area home,” a press release says. The artist plans to “complete the tour with several major city stops. He’ll then make his way to Philadelphia for a street renaming ceremony in the city where he and his group launched their phenomenal musical legacy.”
Tumblr media
Here are the shows announced thus far for the tour:
March 22, State Farm Arena, Atlanta, Georgia.
April 6. Mobile County Fairgrounds, Mobile, Alabama.
April 13, Toyota Arena, Houston, Texas.
April 27, United Center, Chicago, Illinois.
May 12, KIA Forum, Los Angeles, California.
July 6, Dell Music Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

On this day, June 29, in Type O Negative history:
Type O Negative play the Country Fairgrounds with Motley Crue in Greenville, SC (1994)
Type O Negative play the Coca-Cola Lakewood Amphitheater in Atlanta, GA (1995)
Type O Negative play Waldrock in Bergum, Netherlands (1996)
youtube
Being interviewed by Christian from Fear Factory. It's worth your time to look for the full-length video to hear Christian's breezy Dutch (it's a Dutch broadcast program- no English subtitles- but plenty of the artists are speaking Ben Franklin's English anyway) and to see the other great bands who also played the festival in 1996.
Type O Negative play Ozzfest at the Blockbuster Pavilion with Ozzy, Black Sabbath, Marilyn Manson, and Pantera in San Bernardino, CA (1997)
Type O Negative play abart in Zurich, Switzerland (2003)
Type O Negative play the Magic City Music Hall with 3 Inches of Blood in Johnson City, NY (2008)

Note
Is this the first time Louis has headlined a festival?
https://x.com/EloyTP/status/1747580745030242490?t=4wBqYHLfwAEz8VySexXQvg&s=19
No, he headlined another Spanish festival back in 2019. He's the only international artist in the line up so it's not a big deal. His stans who want to brag can come back when he's headlining a festival in his own country.

August 11, 2023
I think I wouldn't have mind if I worked today because damn I was just a potato the whole day.
I woke up early even though it's my day off, unsurprisingly. I just played Pokemon Violet the whole day trying to fill my dex. I'm halfway through it. Pokemon Home has been such a big help trading using the GTS server. I'm so tired and exhausted trying to find the Pokemon that I still don't have. I think I'll be able to finish the dex before my day off ends.
I mustered all the energy I have to get up my bed in the afternoon. I went to Westfield to get a shirt for the music festival tomorrow. I'll be seeing Kygo, whoever he is. His music's alright but I wouldn't really save them in my Spotify but he's good I'll give him that. Just not my type really. I can't wait to dance awkwardly tomorrow. No sarcasm. I got a cute black shirt from Bershka and I'll pair it with my cute dark green cargo pants. I bought a cute sunglass too! I also bought like a big-ass tub of frozen yogurt. I don't know how I managed to eat the whole lot but I did. Now, after the coffee, protein shake, and the coca-cola that I bought, I fear that my farts are going to have enough power to burn the house down.
I went to the gym after and did some chest. That's it! I literally have no patience today. My mood's been... mad. For no apparent reason. Which is weird. Not weird because it always happens but weird because I don't know why it happens. Went home using the bus and there were a lot of good reads on the walls of Excel. I'd like to read them when I get the chance.
Took a cold shower now and I'm listening to Olivia Rodrigo's new single "bad idea right?" and it's a total banger.
Today's been okay!
