Just finished going through all my coasters and refreshing their rankings! Idk how to display them all in order yet but for the time being, here are some interesting things between my pre-refresh list and my new one:

Fav and least fav coasters stayed the same (Steel Vengeance at Cedar Point and Nighthawk at Carowinds respectively)

Coaster that moved up the most: Jolly Rancher Remix at Hersheypark, moved up 38 spots from 128th to 90th

Coaster that moved down the most: Trailblazer, also at Hersheypark, moved down 33 spots from 104th to 137th

Top 4 of Steel Vengeance, Fury 325, Top Thrill Dragster and Maverick didn't change

Other notable upward moves include Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure (up 36 spots, from 74th to 38th), Magnum XL-200 at Cedar Point (up 32 spots, from 75th to 43rd) and Twister at Knoebels (up 20 spots, 59th to 39th)

Others with big drops down include Wild Eagle at Dollywood (down 17 spots, from 40th to 57th), Skull Mountain at Six Flags Great Adventure (down 28 spots, from 108th to 136th) and Grizzly at California's Great America (also down 28 spots, from 111th to 139th)

Most changes in ride placement weren't necessarily from getting re-rides on coasters I haven't been on in awhile, more so just from reconsidering how I feel abt certain coasters in comparison to others

Crafting/vaccine side effects update: I am still not up for crafting but oh my gosh I feel so much better than I expected to! I did have a POTS flareup but my blood pressure never got below 100/60, so like it barely counts. I mean, the tachycardia was worse, but even that was nowhere near what it's been previous times I got the booster shots, and it's mostly resolved itself within like 24 hours of getting the shot instead of like three days. I'm still operating at a deficit of water and salt but I'm working on it bit by bit, and I was skeptical when my doc said I wouldn't need an extra dose of my salt-go-up pills* but he was right! Anyway point is no crafting updates today but there might actually be crafting updates tomorrow, which I did not expect to be saying *fludrocortisone! It helps me retain salt in a way almost approaching the normal human way of processing salt

(Tag Game) The Joker And The Queen

This is either something related to everyone's favorite Society Clown (unlikely, but possible. I could buy into a Joker Victor) or it's something about cards and/or their iconography (Possibly Wonderland related AU given the Queen of Hearts exists?)

Actually, it's neither! The Joker And The Queen is actually the sequel story to the fic immediately before it on the list, As Long As You Love Me. "As Long As You Love Me" can be summed up as, basically, "the Bart & Ken bits of Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency with Victor and Alice" -- that story currently exists in various story chunks collected here: As Long As You Love Me -- All In One Place! and I do have a rough draft of a "completed" version sitting around (as evidenced by the fact that it's on the list).

"The Joker And The Queen's" deal is that Victor and Alice have been on the road together for about a year, with Victor helping Alice with her holistic assassinations -- only for Victor to get kidnapped during one by a mysterious organization called "X Sector," and get dragged off to The Sanctuary, a holding facility for people with mysterious powers, headed up by Dr. Kelman (who for some reason is convinced VICTOR is the holistic assassin). As you might imagine, all the other residents are the various Alton Towers coasters -- Oblivion, Air/Galactica, Thirteen, Rita, Wickerman, Nemesis, and, of course, Smiler. The story's two plotlines involve Alice stumbling across Victoria and Emily while tracking down Victor and teaming up with them to find him; and Victor dealing with life in the Sanctuary and making friends with the other "secret weapons" -- and realizing that he's starting to fall for Smiler. There's a somewhat more in-depth look at my idea for the story here, but the important thing is that it ends with an awesome break-out/break-in sequence set to "Backstreet's Back" and a "Four Victorians Riding A Rollercoaster" poly situation. :)

Oh, and as for the title... *sigh* Okay, look -- when I was writing "As Long As You Love Me," I'd gotten into some of Taylor Swift's older songs, and they worked their way into the story as a musical motif (alongside, obviously, The Backstreet Boys). So when it came to the sequel, I decided that Victor and Smiler's thing would be Ed Sheeran songs, and named the story after Ed and Taylor's recent collab at the time. I felt it fit -- "Joker" for Smiler and "Queen" for Alice, get it?

i actually kinda like the ending... cause honestly in the end wei ying got burned way too much by the cultivation world and was through with it, and as much as lan zhan is on wei ying's side, he cant leave the sects unchecked, especially with the way they easily turned on wei ying, and then jin guangyao too without thinking of evidence and being suspicious of the scenario

essentially wei ying deserves to be free from the judgement and the societal expectations (not using a sword, crafty tricks, etc), while lan zhan is choosing to stay and keep them in check so that history doesnt happen again

Question for people who are normal: when i say rollercoaster do you picture a certain ride/type of ride? like I would always picture phantom's revenge at kennywood because that's THE coaster in my area. put it in the tags. with maybe reasoning if you can say why

And he takes the same stance that Coldfront’s construction usually leaves it in, wide and imposing. Coldfront’s visor flickers briefly with acknowledgement. Volt-Tier stops his mimicry and his hand finds the wrist again, idly rubbing it.  "I… realize now that wasn’t a game.
