BIOGRAPHY

Born in Vientiane, Laos. Living the first 15 years of her life off her uncle's fortune, partaking in the trafficking of illicit narcotics at a young age. The two were close due to them being family, not having many friends due to her uncle's line of work.

Enlisted in the LPAF by her Uncle's wishes to "Carve a better path for herself". Was not liked by her peers for her cocky attitude, overly aggressive tactics, and habit of prioritizing her personal safety over the team.

After 3 years of service in the LPAF, excelling in Close Quarters Combat, dishonorably discharged due to repeated physical altercations among teammates. Spent the next 6 months back to working for Kapano Vang despite his reluctance, eventually fleeing to Urzikstan after an argument with Vang about difference in beliefs, multiple people injured; their relationship has been strained ever since.

During her time her path crossed with Nikolai, in search of work she signed a long term contract with Chimera, with one year of service.

Shown to exhibit signs of social anxiety and difficulty forming close relationships around people her age. Inherited Kapano Vang's short temper in combat, though more relaxed outside of it.

Developed a bond with Syd, seeing her as an older sister. Often paired up with Sebastian Krueger in order to keep them both in line.

Her face paint draws reference to how snake teeth are shown in Phayanak statues. There are multiple snake motifs in her design. Is the design practical? No, she just likes standing out in that way.

Nak cuts her own bangs (long blunt bangs) she doesn’t trust anyone with cutting them.

Has a lot of upper body and lower body strength; she can lift things heavier than her and calisthenics skills (handstands, full planches, etc.)

I feel like Gideon isn't talked about very much, and I get it. He's in the show far less than Rossi, and his ending is unsatisfying. But in many ways, he built the team. He's Spencer's father figure and Aaron's friend. He sticks up for Elle, Emily, and Penelope and keeps Morgan in balance. I think he is sad for much of the show and is good at hiding it. I think this poem represents that dynamic well. He's waiting for the world to be good. He's waiting for something that will never come, and in the end, that's why he has to leave.

But I just want to remind you all there is good in the world. There is hope out there. You matter and if you feel sad or alone I am always here to talk. Please be kind to yourselves today. I hope the start to your weeks is amazing! Love Levi - ❤️

his insecurities can get the better of him now and again; unfortunately he has to be cornered into having some of the important conversations here and there. this too fades with time as he heals, but its taxing to put up with in the first year.

Description:

Aigneas is the true name of the newest God of Death and the last sheep in existence. They have a gentle and charismatic demeanor, easily winning over others, which grants her ease with guiding souls to the afterlife (i.e., the Gateway and then to Sheol, the Underworld). Although they are generally calm and caring, there is also a darker side to her personality; her secretly hidden divine rage sometimes seeps out when they are either pushed too far or threatened. TTTE White Witch AU

-White witches have existed on Sodor for a very long time. It's said that they get their power from the land itself, a blessing upon those who care for it. Witches live in many, many more areas of the world, of course, but for our purposes, we will not further discuss them.

-The witch families live all over the island, and they form a coven with a long and storied history. Their individual family histories have been recorded in ancient documents. The Thin Clergyman doesn't like talking about that particular aspect of Sodor's history.

-It's said that the ancient goddess of fire and travel, who loved humans, especially favored the white witches and took pains to assist them in various ways. One such way was gold dust, which could be used to travel across great distances, and call one's familiar to their side.

-White witches have always specialized in matters of warding, protection, luck, and healing.

-Witches have always had familiars. This is to protect them from those who would covet their power. Originally, only certain animals (those who had enough intelligence that an Awakening ritual could be done to make them sapient) were used as familiars, but once humans wrought from the earth unliving creatures of fire and iron, the goddess decided, with the consent of all the lands of the world, that such creatures could also be familiars, and thus, they as a whole were Awakened.

-Skarloey was requested to be a familiar in about 1912. The Sam family had been working on the railway since 1897, and were thus quite familiar with engines by this point. With tensions high elsewhere in Europe, there was much concern over both the human and non-human threats to Sodor.

-One night, while being chased by an undead intent on getting her power, Beatrice Sam, Robert Sam's sister, ran to Skarloey and asked for his help. Creatures of fire and iron are inherently strong against those of an undead persuasion, so Beatrice hoped with all her heart that her instinct saying this sapient vehicle could be a familiar was correct. Skarloey agreed to her plea and they formed a pact.

-Beatrice gave some of her blood to the engine, cutting her palm and letting a few drops sizzle in his firebox, pleading in Old Sudric that he become her protector. With her power, Skarloey began to take on a more bipedal, humanoid appearance, although he was still very much a machine. Metal creaked and parts shifted as he stood, his frames moving to accomodate the will of his contractor, as he quickly pulled Beatrice out of where his cab suddenly wasn't and cradled her in his arm like she were a doll. At 549 cm tall, he towered above the trees. Steam began to pour from his funnel, pure and white, and with his own power, the engine began to move of his own accord. He set Beatrice down, and headed toward his foe.

-The engine pummeled the pursuer into submission. It was not a battle; it was a beating. Skarloey didn't know how to fight; he could only flail and hit aimlessly. It was enough, however; engine and witch could only stare helplessly at each other as the undead collapsed into dust, suddenly all too mindful of what this all meant. As the effect wore off and Skarloey took his engine form once again, Beatrice wordlessly got into his cab and sobbed until morning.

-It was later on that Rheneas would be enlisted as a familiar associated with the Brown family. After Sir Handel acquired the Skarloey Railway, it was thought that Jane Brown (the eventual Lady Hatt) might make the request, but she already had a familiar, and a familiar's pact cannot be broken unless it is transferred to another witch, or the previous witch dies.

-However, it would actually be Sir Handel Brown's daughter-in-law, Rachel Qualtrough Brown, who would first request Rheneas' protection.

-As it happened, the first one to approach Edward to be her familiar was Barbara Jane Hatt, Jane Hatt's daughter. She had heard tell of Skarloey and Rheneas' exploits, and felt that Edward was a good, kind, reliable engine, unlike Thomas others. With Sodor being as supernaturally-inclined as it was, and her whole family being railway enthusiasts, it really only made sense.

-Presently, the year is 1970. Nancy Rushen, Beatrice Sam's great-granddaughter, is 17, and would trust nobody but Skarloey to see her through all the troubles and tribulations she senses on the horizon. She's still quite a serious soul, but she's also loosened up quite a bit over the years.

-The same can be said of 16-year-old Rebecca Dorothy Brown, Rheneas' contractor and Nancy's best friend, who is quite good at math and hates to leave a phenomenon unexplored or unexplained. She can't shake the feeling that something very strange is happening over at Ward Fell.

-27-year-old Bridget Hatt, who thinks of Nancy and Rebecca like little sisters, would only trust Edward with her well-being as she patrols the NWR's railways. They've had a lot of strange incidents over the years, and although their magic has held, Bridget wants to try and get to the bottom of just what's trying to undermine her beloved railway.

I honestly love creating character with rich backstories, and with Aranea, I love the fact that, because she is a drow and long-lived, I get to explore all the plentiful number of experiences she has collected in almost 200 years of life.

Like, for example, now I am focusing a lot on her 100 years (though I am inclined to make the period longer to reflect the fact that, in my mind, in human years she would be around 38 years old) in Cania spent besides Mephisto Dearest.

But the sheer amount of history that she has even *before* that: all her years spent in Zakhara, when she was still Zil;, how her whole heritage still influence her life and choices; how who she is now is all connected to Halim, her late husband and the real reason as to why her whole life turned such dark ruthless turn...that is so intriguing for me.

How Halim's demise and the way of it left her completely broken, disillusioned, so overwhelmed by grief and rage that she found herself agreeing to a pact that has given her everything she needed, but left her completely heartless until the end of her life.

Because no matter what, Aranea will never regain her frozen heart from Mephisto. Trust and believe that when Aranea asked for her heart to be taken, so that her pain would go away, Mephisto agreed with all intent of never give it back to her; and in doing so, Aranea has forsaken that part of herself forever.

And I like to think that, because her heart is not where it's supposed to be and such huge part of herself is missing, Aranea is actually bound to commit crimes and actions that she might have not even entertained.

Which would make her feel even more broken later on, when she meets Gale, because any emotion she feels, is dim to say the least. Joy, Sorrow, Anxiety, Compassion...everything feels as if there is a 15 cm thick glass. She cannot even cry, because her emotions are too strangled by the ice.

Rage and Lust and pure Wrath she feels aplenty, because Mephisto himself partially fuels all those emotions through their pact...but everything else is buried and hidden away in her frozen heart, which she will never regain, not even after meeting Gale.

And I like to think that because she is soulbound to Mephisto and her heart is literally physically with him, at the end of her life (which will happen tragically, because she cannot escape the comeuppance for all she has done), Mephisto himself will come and recover her and bring her back to Cania, so that she can be with him for all eternity (and dear gods, I have already envisioned the artwork for this, with Mephisto looking *incredibly* pissed with the people that killed Aranea).

I do love making tragic characters and giving them tragic stories.

Biography

Born in Vientiane, Laos. Living the first 15 years of her life off her uncle's fortune, partaking in the trafficking of illicit narcotics at a young age. The two were close due to them being family, not having many friends due to her uncle's line of work. Enlisted in the LPAF by her Uncle's wishes to "Carve a better path for herself". Was not liked by her peers for her cocky attitude, overly aggressive tactics, and habit of prioritizing her personal safety over the team.

After 3 years of service in the LPAF, excelling in Close Quarters Combat, dishonorably discharged due to repeated physical altercations among teammates. Spent the next 6 months back to working for Kapano Vang despite his reluctance, eventually fleeing to Urzikstan after an argument with Vang about difference in beliefs, multiple people injured; their relationship has been strained ever since. During her time her path crossed with Nikolai, in search of work she signed a long term contract with Chimera, with one year of service.

Shown to exhibit signs of social anxiety and difficulty forming close relationships around people her age. Inherited Kapano Vang's short temper in combat, though more relaxed outside of it. Developed a bond with Syd, seeing her as an older sister. Often paired up with Sebastian Krueger in order to keep them both in line.

Myers Briggs Type: ESTJ-T Nak is an extroverted introvert, she likes and enjoys talking to people, however it drains her energy quickly since she's not used to talking to people in such a casual manner. Things like talking business she’s more used to.

Adaptable: A quick thinker, Nak is able to carry out missions by finding creative solutions to make sure her operations are successful. Outside of the battlefield her adaptability allows her to have better communication with people, even with her social anxiety.

Pragmatic: Nak strives to make the most effective solutions so it’s easier on her in the future. Her decision making skills ensure that she’ll survive in the field and outside of it.

Responsible: Living on her own, Nak is responsible, she can’t relax unless all her work is done beforehand. As she starts forming close relationships with people, she realizes that she likes taking care of people.

Stubborn: Starting out Nak isn’t a very good teamplayer. She doesn’t like others telling her what to do or how to do things so she’s stubborn in a way that she’s adamant about what she wants but adaptable with what methods are needed.

TRIVIA

Nak is a shortened version of “phayanak” the mythical water serpent in Laos, it’s also the Lao pronunciation of “Naga” which is her Uncle’s name on the field.

Her face paint draws reference to how snake teeth are shown in Phayanak statues. There are multiple snake motifs in her design. Is the design practical? No, she just likes standing out in that way.

Nak cuts her own bangs (long blunt bangs) she doesn’t trust anyone with cutting them.

Has a lot of upper body and lower body strength; she can lift things heavier than her and calisthenics skills (handstands, full planches, etc.)

Nak is significantly more patient to small children than adults because she can understand why they would do the things they do.

Lucinara

Vigil Commander They/them. Bisexual. Single. Sprouted in 1323 AE. 169 cm/5'6 feet tall.

Personality: Bold, Independent, Couragous, Adventurous, Ambitious, Stubborn. Backstory: Lucinara dreamt of war and emerged from the Pale Tree's pods with the solemn intention of defending Tyria against the threat of dragons. It didn't take long for them to join the Vigil and quickly assume the title of Commander within its ranks. They were personally trained by Almorra herself and joined the Pact into the Maguuma Jungle under the command of the Commander, Trahearne and Laranthir. After the crash in the jungle and the 43-days campaign Lucinara grew to be close with Laranthir and they grieved the Pact Marshal together. In the years after Lucinara served the Vigil proudly, but they would often be found to cling to their Sylvari heritage more now, often sporting their traditional armor while off duty. After Almorra's death they looked at Laranthir for guidance. They continued to serve the Pact until the war against dragons was over. Now having completed their goal in life (not a Wyld Hunt) they're simply protecting Tyria against evil to come.

Noticable traits: 1) Sidekick: Fern Hound Neyné never seems to leave Lucinara's side. What's their story? 2) Branches: This Sylvari appears to have a lot of branches sprouting out of their head and bark-like skin. It gives them a little more of a rugged look. This might give off a little sense of authority or uneasiness standing next to them. 3) Wearing Sylvari Traditional Armor: This is very unlike a Vigil Commander. They are usually in uniform. 4) Auric Weapons: They seem to carry weapons in shapes and glows that resemble Mursaat design. Indicating that they spent time with them.

How your character might have heard of them: Being Almorra's Trainee in the Vigil. They were aboard an airship that crashed in the Maguuma Jungle. Lucinara got into some fights about honor when the Sylvari were questioned during the peak of Mordrem tension, defending them.
