Fluffy Jemily Headcanons

They link pinkies when they kiss, especially before going out into the field or in dangerous situations

Henry and Michael started calling Emily ‘Momem’ after Michael slipped up, starting to call her mom, but caught himself and ended up calling her ‘Momem’ and it just stuck

JJ wears Emily’s old Yale t-shirt, which she stole the first time she slept over, to bed so often that it’s threadbare and almost unwearable now

Emily loves gummy bears, she bites off their heads and switches the bodies (she freaked Reid out the first time she did it) and now Henry and Michael do it too

Emily is an insomniac and even though she is prescribed sleep meds, she doesn’t like to take them, so most nights she lays awake for a while and watches JJ sleep.

JJ talks and mumbles in her sleep. She’s also a stage five clinger and will wrap herself around Emily unless she’s all touched out from the boys hanging all over her.

Spencelle headcanons

- Both of them are just so bisexual, but neither of them are out because they don’t want to risk their jobs. Elle has known for a while, and Spencer is still untangling it while they’re “together”

- After Elle left, Spencer went to Garcia to ask if she could track her down, and then proceeded to totally breakdown in Garcia’s office. They never talked about it again, and Spencer asked her to keep it a secret, which she took very seriously. But every year on the day she left, Garcia will pay extra attention to Spencer.

- Elle left a few personal items at Spencer’s, and he keeps them all in a certain drawer on his nightstand. She used to leave concealer there in case he wanted to cover up the dark circles he got from working late hours. When he was an addict, he used to use it to cover up his track marks.

- Elle used to try to teach him Spanish, but his pronunciation continued to be terrible and she gave up. Despite that, they would watch old Spanish movies, or- if it was a bad post-Garner day, nostalgic soap operas together. (When she came back after Garner, Reid asked which soap opera Elle said she’d considered watching out of boredom)

- They used to play poker together at insane hours, like at 2 in the morning, and Spencer almost always won. Every time Elle won instead, she’d find a way to brag about it at the BAU. It took a long time for Spencer to believe that he wasn’t somehow betraying her when he started playing consistently with Emily

- Neither of them ever slept great. Spencer would sometimes call her late at night, and she would almost always answer. She still answered, but post-Garner, Elle never called him first. He’d asked about it one day and she’d brushed it off as her dislike of phones.

- After Elle left, Spencer would periodically send her emails. She checked her inbox everyday, read every single one, never responded and never planned to. She only did when he finally confessed that he’d become addicted and the team wasn’t helping. She called him, and Reid cried.

- Spencer was wildly insecure the entire time they were “together” about how she’d picked him over anyone else. He never told her that, but it bled through, and Elle couldn’t understand why he didn’t realize how incredible he was. Their views of each other were so different.

- He would read up on all of her interests and hobbies so he could talk to her about them. She’d always listen to what he was ranting about regardless, but he liked seeing her light up when he started talking about something she was passionate about.

So before I get into these headcanons I do like to point out that I do not have adhd and I also identify as cis so I’m not writing this from a personal pov. Obviously I am going to try my best but I just want to warn people and say that if anything is inaccurate let me know!!

So what I know about ADHD is there is three main types

The inattentive type the hyperactive type and the combined type

And personally I feel like Spencer would know the differences in how it affects you and would behave accordingly.

But we’ll get to that in a second because either way gender-fluid or nonbinary has absolutely nothing to do with how he treats you!!

Like dude is in love with you he doesn’t care about how you identify as long as you’re happy he’s happy and he will always introduce you as his partner or significant other.

Like unless you’re feeling a certain type of way and want to be introduced in that way he is more than comfortable with everything just being neutral.

Like sometimes I think that he does go about these things in a logical way, so I feel like it could be very helpful as well as sometimes unhelpful y’know?

Like there are pros and cons to everything EVEN someone being the most understanding anyone could ever be.

The adhd can however come with self esteem issues and I know sometimes even if you’re proud of who you are and what you identify as, there will be some hard days where everything just seems hopeless.

And while I think he would do his absolute best to comfort you, he just doesn’t understand what you’re going through from a personal point of view.

He does stay with you through it and does whatever you need him to because he high key would feel awful that someone he loves feels awful.

OKAY now onto the adhd aspects

I think the differences between the three types means that there will be different ways that he handles everything.

So for the inattentive type I think he would become more conscious of everything around him that way he can help you whenever you need it.

While yes he wants to help you work on finding ways to manage the symptoms and stress he also knows that it takes TIME and that helping in this way makes everything slightly better for you.

So when you’re together and he can see you’re losing focus he either remembers everything that was said and retell them to you or try to get you to pay attention again without making it too obvious.

Like he doesn’t want you to be embarrassed and he doesn’t want the other person to feel bad or angry so he tries his best.

Or he reminds you of simple things like did you remember to place your keys in this certain place? No? Okay let’s look for them or y’know just put them there to make sure we can keep track of everything

Reminds you to eat

It honestly just seems like he’s a doting boyfriend but I feel like it would feel like much more than that

Like you’re cared for and loved

But also it depends on the type of person you are because someone doing this could also piss someone off and make them feel dumb.

I would hope that you’d be okay with it because it’s not a bad intention but I also understand that sometimes intent and impact are very different things so….

Sometimes gets his feelings hurt because he does like to go off on tangents ably things that he finds interesting and sometimes it’s hard for you to pay attention for an extended amount of time.

Knows you don’t mean it and that he’s used to it due to usually being cut off but it still sometimes hurts.

ONTO THE HYPERACTIVE TYPE

I think that this type would be more difficult for him to help with in my opinion

Like he himself has lots of things to do and has to no time to relax. So him being on the go and you being on the go is just too much.

He still wants to help but helping in this situation is difficult especially because trying to get someone to sit and relax when their mind is racing is almost impossible

Like sitting there thinking about how many things you need to do gets you more agitated and upset.

BUT I think that this type is more comical in a way with him because your conversations are just both of you going off on tangents and interrupting each other.

But it’s not offensive because both of you understand that’s just how your conversations work.

Also I think while it’s tiring for both of you there’s no one upset about both of you being gone all the time because I honestly think in this timeline you would have a job that allows you to maximize and take advantage of your adhd powers.

You understand that he’s just unavailable sometimes and he understands for you as well

I think it makes those days where you can spend all day together that much more special.

Does want to help you control it though, and if you want his help he will find ways that you can relax more because everyone needs a break once in the while.

Now with the combined type of adhd I feel like it’s more….unmanageable than the other two due to it being a combination of things working against each other and together.

Again if I’m wrong tell me (be nice though I’m trying)

And this type causes the both of you distress because he really does want to help but with everything clashing it makes it hard to be okay.

Like according to what I looked up it seems like EVERYTHING is impacted by it.

Like sleep problems, memory problems, self esteem issues, sensory issues, like damn stepping away from these headcanons are y’all ALRIGHT?

This is something that he would be like lmao I don’t know how to help you so all I can do is be here for you if you need something

He is there when you’re breaking down, there when you’re happy. He helps you with your confidence and with loving yourself

Tries to help manage everything but in a less hands on way than the other two types.

Like with one or the other the things that are impacted are very specific things so it’s easier to help(not saying that it’s easy don’t get me wrong) but this impacts a lot more and is more general so it’s difficult

Does his best to be someone you can depend on.

I think he is very helpful with these things because of his experience with his mother

Like they’re not the same thing; adhd and schizophrenia, but like he’s used to dealing with people he loves not being in the best of mental states.

When he is not helping with everything I think in general he is a very touchy person ngl

Like he wants to be on you at all times

Not sexually and sexually like he just likes being with you.

That poll got me thinking, so headcanons of CM character's online presence.

Garcia: has a private insta. She probably has her own server on Mastodon and/or she uses BSky. As I said on the tags before, I fully believe Garcia has a neocities and a bearblog, and it's all very cute/glittery and she posts a lot of tutorials and help people out. She's probably part of the free software movement.

Emily: had/has a tumblr nobody (except Garcia) knows about. She mostly posts about sci-fi and literature, sometimes art. I also think she would make those posts explaining how to get certain services from the government; every once in a while she'll post or correct an information about self-defense tips for women

JJ: private insta. she also has an account on reddit, which she uses mostly to judge if people are the asshole or not, and later in evolution uses it to learn about IA and stuff.

Reid: if he has an online presence (not likely) is probably a very simple bearblog where he posts reflections on works that he's read.

Morgan: insta. and he barely posts on it, when he does it, it's a thirst trap.

Hotch: His insta only exists so he can see what Jack is posting. (he also see what his other children - aka BAU - are posting)

Rossi: He has a offical instagram (usually taken care about someone else), and a private one with only like the BAU and his daughter and that's it. He also has a twitter, which he posts in every once in a while, mostly to fact-check info that's going on about profiling and talking about cooking. And I bet he did once the "I was one of the founders of the BAU, AMA." on reddit before a book came out as part of the marketing for the book. I can also see him showing up in streamings (either youtube or twitch) and playing something silly like Fortnite and being really fucking good at it.

Alex: has a blog where she talks about literature and weird things she's fascinated about. She doesn't use her actual name on the blog though, cause she doesn't want her students to find her. (Garcia makes Blake a part of her webring and help her set an guestbook on her blog so people can send her a message)

Tara: Private insta (she most posts stories though, nothing on the feed). Also a twitter account that doesn't have her name or picture on it and no mentions of her real life and she mostly post memes and comment on stuff. She might be even a little internet famous with that account.

Luke: Has 2 insta accounts. One, private for him. The second is for Roxy and she's famous.

Matt: private instagram account is mostly pictures of kids and wife. Has some pictures of himself being silly taken by his kids.

Elle: only twitter, without her name of course, she probably likes to shitpost.

another favorite, random hc of mine is will is a massive, non intentional flirt. meaning he flirts for ego purposes not ever w any intention to cheat. he will always shut it down if it seems like it’s going in that direction but he is the type to flirt cus it makes him feel good. that said, he’s always telling people how blessed he was to find a wife that was not the jealous or possessive type at all cus jj never gets mad about his flirting. 

thing is, jj is the jealous type. 

she gets pissed whenever emily shows any interest in any other woman. she stifles it best she can cus she’s got will, but it does come to a head every now and then. she n emily butt heads on account of it a lot more than people realize, behind closed doors. it’s gotten to the point where they don’t even talk about their love lives anymore cus as soon as jj hears about emily with another woman, it causes a slight riff between them, even though she knows it’s unfair.

so, every time will brags about having a super understanding, non jealous, not possessive wife with emily in earshot, she snorts or scoffs cus she’s the only person who knows how jealous jj actually is, and she knows that will doesn’t get that version of her cus jj doesn’t care enough about him romantically for it to manifest in their relationship.

Collegeboy!spencer who reads incredibly fast. When the professor gives you a few minutes to read the first pages of the next chapter you’ll be going over, you look over to your right and have to do a double take. The guy next to you drags his finger down the center of each page, it appears to be him just skimming the words, but it is done very seriously and swiftly.

“There’s no way you can actually read that fast” you say, in disbelief.

He looks up at you and says, “Our conscious minds can process 16 bits of information per second. Our unconscious, however, can process 11million”.

There was an awkward pause. You tilt you head at him still confused.

“Yes I- I can actually read that fast”

You giggle at that and smile. “Okay, boy genius” you say and then go back to reading. He was strange and It sounded like he was reading that straight from a book but you believed him.

PENELOPE: Watches movies on her tablet and eats M&M’s like the little iPad kid she is, eventually falling asleep on Morgan’s shoulder during ‘Legally Blonde’.

MORGAN: Shamelessly flirting with the flight attendants and trying to hide the fact that he is watching ‘Legally Blonde’ over Penelope’s shoulder—and loving it.

HOTCH: Reading FBI case files in his sunglasses, not noticing the kid who has been staring at him the whole time thinking ‘damn, James Bond be on this flight.’

SPENCER: Talking to that same kid and his mother, explaining aerodynamics and discussing plane crash statistics. The kid’s mother requests a seat change.

ELLE: Lets Spencer explain aerodynamics to her instead. She swaps her red jello for his orange jello from the airplane meal because red is his favourite.

Spencer learnt very early on in your relationship that the love you had for the outdoors was very similar to the love he had for you.

Except, in an odd way – this small fact only made him love you more. You never shied away from the environment you were in; regardless of what environment it was. Whether it was on a (in his opinion) stupidly long hike on a way too hot day, the grin on your face remained the same as it did while watching the sunset on the beach on a warm summer night, when you opted on walking home at the end of the day with him rather than driving, the way you’d coo at babies, or smile at elderly people walking past. You were so intrigued by the world around you, Spencer was so intrigued with you. 

 You loved nature, you could name a flower on a walk quicker than he could, an animal hidden in the bushes; or you would ask him about whatever it was you needed to know that day, then listen curiously as he rambled about it. He had started reading more books about nature, just so when you asked, he had an answer.

Spencer loved you, more than words could ever explain. There was not a series of words in any language that could articulate the way he felt for you, and he had spent a lot of time looking for one. You loved nature. You embodied the beauty of it, and he loved you, just like you loved him. Spencer wasn’t the biggest fan of nature, not in the slightest. He could appreciate the beauty of the waterfall at the end of the hike, but in no way did he consider it worth the forty five minutes of uphill walking and the sweating. However, The smile on your face and the love in your eyes when you saw the waterfall at the end of the hike? Well that was worth it.

He had agreed to go camping with you. He had never been camping  before, but when you mumbled about how you really really wanted to go, and then rambled about how lately you couldn’t stop thinking about it – Spencer couldn’t say no, not when you subconsciously pouted at nothing when you remembered that you weren’t camping, instead in the middle of the city, curled up in a warm bed wrapped in his arms.

That's how he ended up in this position, camping out in the middle of nowhere. He had taken time off work for this, and he had yet to decide whether he loved or hated it. The greenery was easy to fall in love with, that, he understood. Large trees surrounding you everywhere, as if a barrier of different shades of deep greens to shield you away from the rest of the world.

You had picked a spot you knew well enough, oak trees surrounding, the ground covered in tall grass, bushes and flowers. Pinks and whites highlighted throughout the deep greens of the bushes. The ground where you had decided to set up the tent while the sun begun to set, flat, dirt.

He hated the fact that last night he was sleeping on an uncomfortable inflatable mattress, cold, listening to the rain pattern against the thin material of the tent, hyper aware of all the possible animals around. However, he loved the way you gasped in excitement when you saw bunnies running past in the warm orange light of the fire at night, or how you woke him up while it was still dark outside just because you wanted to watch the sunrise with him.

It was freezing, way too cold. Spencer knew a future with you, meant a future with more camping. He was okay with that, as long as next time it was not in the middle of winter. He had tugged the material of his sweater tighter around his body, hand gripping yours tightly seeking out the warmth you provided as you led him down a dirt road path. It was still dark outside, and after walking for a whole five minutes, still half asleep and groggy, Spencer began to question whether you actually knew where you were going.

“Angel” He murmured, tugging you closer by the grip he had on your hand, pausing his walking in the middle of the road. Not that it mattered, there were no cars around. There was nobody around. That, he liked. It was just you and him. Your footsteps stopped only moments after his, letting him pull you in closer as you turned your body so you were facing him. The only light, the setting moonlight.

You huffed a little, it made him smile sleepily. “Spence, we are gonna miss the sunrise if we stop” You argued, your hand squeezing around his. His heart warmed when you looked at him, slightly pleading him not to complain about this. He might of complained about a few things, the mud stuck to his shoes while trying to help you set up the tent, (Which you did most of anyways, after saying he would be better suited for glamping, which was less your style,) the bugs around that made him scratch at his arms, (Before you argued that if he had just used the bug repellent you suggest he wouldn’t have that issue) and the cold, when he complained about the cold you didn’t argue back, instead you’d just tug him closer to you.

So he complained about the cold a lot.

“Miss the sunrise? I- It's like three in the morning!” His voice went up an octave in complaint, yet full of fondness as he brought your intertwined hands to his chest, which meant you were closer. It was easier to see you when you were closer, also warmer. Maybe he just liked having you close.

You laughed, he found the sound so sweet it made his chest ache. “It's nearly five. The new moon is rising and it's getting lighter. We are almost there. I promise – Pinky promise, it will be worth it” You said, leaning up to press your lips against his cheek before tugging your intertwined hands together as you continued walking. Spencer couldn’t argue. Instead he trailed next to you. He was glad it wasn’t bright yet, in a strange way. You couldn’t see the way his smile widened when you swung your intertwined hands as you led him down the path.

He didn’t know how much longer the two of you were walking before. Long enough that the sky had lightened enough to make everything around you a bit more viewable, before he could find his voice to complain again, the shoreline came into view, over a set of sanded over wooden steps that looked like they would break any moment, however when you wordlessly walked down them, tugging him along with maybe the biggest smile he had ever seen on your face, well he followed despite the unease in his stomach.

They didn’t break. He silently thanked the above for that. If he had muttered his worry aloud, you would’ve told him you had walked down those steps a million other times, told him he worried too much then planted another kiss on his cheek. 

You trailed down the beach to a spot. The sand was almost perfectly white. When you stopped and shoved your feet into the sand, silently looking out over the waterline, where the sun had begun to rise over the horizon, watching as pretty shades of pinks and yellows shaped the sky. Spencer understood why you had decided against wearing shoes when leaving the campsite, despite his half asleep mutter about the dangers of it. 

This was your life, this was what you knew, this was what you loved.

“I love you” He spoke, breaking the carefully crafted silence of the beach. The tide was coming in, the only other noise being the waves crashing carefully. His gaze was fixated on you, while yours was on the sight in front of you. This was worth the early mornings, and freezing cold, the long walk and the worries about old wooden staircases.

Not because of the sight, but because of you, curled up in one of his knitted sweaters, despite the fact you had your own, probably warmer and much more suited for the cold weather of camping, you chose to wear his, holding on tightly to his hand. He knew you spent your childhood camping here, he knew everything he loved so dearly about you was created by the place you grew up, the place that made you, you. That was here. He loved you, and he loved it here – despite his complaints.

You turned your gaze away from the sunrise, turning to look over your shoulder. When your eyes met his, he was pretty sure the amount of love and affection in his heart was growing so much it was starting to cause him physical pain. He didn’t mind, not when you were looking at him. “I love you too.” You said, before tugging his hand to pull him to stand next to you. His hand dropped from yours, instead wrapping his arms tightly around your waist as he shifted to stand behind you. Your back to his chest, his chin on your shoulder. 

It was colder near the ocean, yet he was pretty sure he had never felt more warm.

✦ spencer shows his love by being thoughtful: spencer is really thoughtful and always pays attention to the little things you mention. if you mention a book you want to read or a movie you like, he’ll surprise you with it later.

spencer shows his love by taking you out on dates: he loves planning dates that involve learning together. whether it's going to a museum, attending a lecture, or solving puzzles.

spencer shows his love by being sweetly awkward: spencer is a bit awkward at first, especially when it comes to expressing his feelings, but his nervousness is endearing, and you can always tell how much he cares, even if he stumbles over his words.

spencer shows his love by being protective: spencer is very protective of you. he’ll use his intelligence to keep you safe, whether it’s by being hyper aware of your surroundings or giving you advice on staying safe. in public, he'll gravitate toward standing close to you, especially in crowded or unfamiliar places. he’s protective and wants to make sure you feel safe and secure at all times.

almost on an instinct, you put your book on your bedside locker and open your arms. when emily comes to you without an ounce of stubbornness in her body, you know it must have been really bad. emily flops onto the double bed, and curls up next to you, her arms slung over your stomach and her head resting on your chest.

you let out a small sigh of sympathy. "that bad, huh?"

emily nuzzles her face into the valley between your breasts, and breathes in the scent of lavender. somehow it grounds her. "ive had better days," she admits as she pats the other side of the bed.
