RAFFLE UPDATE!!!

NEW ITEM for the red ticket raffle: Hand-lettered sign, custom-made for the winner. Signs measure 4.5 x 14″ (with ropes for hanging and photos) or 5 x 12” (without). Winner will be put in contact with artisan to arrange finished design.

All red ticket raffle entries are £2 each or 26/£40.

PHYLLIS raffle - these are for the green tickets. Phyllis graciously took the time to do two illustrations of her choice for our raffle. We had no idea what she’d be drawing, but she chose to do caricatures of Elderflower and Clowndoctor practitioners! They’re obviously one-of-a-kind and she’s signed both. Each measures approximately 8.5″ x 11.5″ and will be shipped unframed to the winners. Click image below to display fully.

All green ticket entries are £10 each or 6/£40 (and also earn red tickets as stated above).

WINNERS for each raffle will be drawn 15 August, 2020. Winners will be drawn at random and while it’s possible to win one red raffle item and one green raffle item, we will try to have thirteen different winners for the red raffle and two different winners for the green. Should we not have enough entrants we will revisit that plan.

Azul tinted eyes looked to the blonde, tears prickled in her eyes causing eyes to appear bluer than they actually were. The hurt that she felt was more than she’d ever felt before. Someone had shoved her into the wall, a threat as given, then it was her husband that had saved the day.

20/8/2017: Queen Rania visited the Queen Rania Al Abdullah Hospital for Children, where she sat in on an interactive educational session as part of the Children Museum Jordan’s ‘Beyond Museum Walls’ program.

Launched in April 2017 through funding from local and international organizations, ‘Beyond Museum Walls’ aims to foster children’s scientific abilities by bringing the CMJ’s hands-on learning activities to those who would otherwise be unable to experience them. Since its establishment, the program has conducted 19 visits to hospitals, refugee camps and refugee host communities across the Kingdom, bringing the CMJ’s leading educational programming to approximately 860 children.

Her Majesty was briefed by Director of CMJ, Sawsan Dalaq, on the museum’s recent partnership with the hospital. Queen Rania then joined a number of patients and their parents while they watched a comedic performance that teaches science to children in a fun and interactive manner. Following the session, Her Majesty toured the medical facility, making stops at a number of patient rooms, where children and their families were entertained by performers from Red Noses Clowndoctors International. She also stopped by the hospital’s educational facilities, where patients are able to continue their schooling under the Learning Opportunity program. (Source: Petra)

Launched by the hospital’s Royal Medical Services Directorate in 2016 in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the Directorate of Education and Military Culture, and the Civil Defense Department, the Learning Opportunity program offers classes in key subjects to children from grades one through six, allowing their schooling to continue uninterrupted throughout their hospitalization.

Inaugurated in 2010 by His Majesty King Abdullah and Her Majesty Queen Rania, the Queen Rania Al Abdullah Hospital for Children is the Kingdom’s first and only specialty pediatric surgery institution in Jordan. Located within the King Hussein Medical City compound, the hospital provides services in 25 medical specialties to the nation’s children.
