I need the antis to know that when they tag something as "not clonecest" or "not clone shipping" it shows up in the clonecest and clone shipping tags. In front of the exact people you didn't want to interact with it.

Maybe it's Tumblr being a functional website, or maybe once your art leaves your hands it's no longer only yours and people will always interpret art in the way it speaks to them.

They don't tag the original artist and they don't say where the art is from. They aren't claiming it as their own but they are not giving credit where credit is due

So block them if you see your art on their page. Report them and take back your work

Okay everyone

I have some very important news.

Nothing bad, I promise, for those of us with anxiety.

I've made a decision regarding the Soulmate AU series. I have only two that were originally planned out to write left (at the time of this posting) and then I was going to rework the original series to be smut free for those that prefer sfw fics and that was going to be that. The end. All done. Series over.

But.

Two things have happened.

First, I planned on at least finishing the smut part of the series this month in order to better plan for the events taking place in October. That did not happen thanks to work and my subsequent illness that knocked me flat on my ass for a week and a half. And now that there is like no time left in September (hello, where did the month go?) I am not going to be able to finish the fics by that time. I was going to work on un-smutting(?) the original fics during November/December when I am absolutely swamped at work and have zero time to myself. (Which I may still do)

Secondly, I have found myself becoming...enamored with certain...shall we say lesser known clones. Knowing myself I am one gif or screenshot away from becoming completely obsessed with them. That being said, I may be tempted to add to my soulmate series with these lesser known clones.

So, to cut a long story short, I am no longer putting a finish date on the soulmate series. It is going to remain ongoing until either I run out of clones to write or some horrible catastrophe happens to me.

so all these years I have been a 100% Rex fan and he's still my fav clone BUT BOY HAVE I BEEN SLEEPING ON CODY

I think he just didn't do enough for me in canon for me to be able to care about him in fanon, but dang last week's episode hit me in the gut.

When Cody walks up to Cross and calls his name Cross turns around and looks slightly taken aback until Cody takes off his bucket. Then Cross said "Commander Cody. I didn't recognise you." and I'm??? OUCH

This again goes to show HOW IMPORTANT armour markings are for clones and Cody's were taken for him, and now he's unrecognisable even for people who've known him for a long time and waaaaaaaah

And the way Cody responds with "A lot has changed" (paraphrasing at this point but you get it) he sounded so genuinely sad?? we know he was questioning the order at that point already and just testing the waters with cross and I know the mission hit the point home for him, but he was already having doubts YOU CAN HEAR IT IN HIS VOICE AND I'M IN PAIN

quick side note: they tlal about how the batch deserted and Cross responds saying that the Regs are also deserting which sounded almost defensive? (still protecting his batch??)

I've been thinking about how I want to run this blog, and want to mention some changes that will be coming in 2023.

2022 was incredibly difficult for me, after losing two of my loved ones. My family heavily relied on my grandmother - and now that she passed, our financial and home situation has been going through hardships. Money is tight, and I am simply not happy living at my home anymore. I can't say I'm happy with my life at *all*.

In the midst of my grieving, I received my copy of Long Live the Pumpkin Queen. I was desperate to find some way to cope, and a way to distract myself while the world around me fell apart. I was unwillingly brought into a pointless online argument about this novel -- and it made me aware of something.

I don’t want to write analysis/discussion posts anymore.

I am still hyperfixated with TNBC, of course, and want to talk about it - but I don’t have the free time and motivation like I used to. When I first ran this blog, I was young and unhealthily obsessed with this movie - I would add long additions to posts I disagreed with. Back then, I would’ve jumped on the hateful bandwagon in response to Shea Ernshaw’s novel, but 2022 numbed me to the point where canonical inaccuracies don’t bother me like they used to. Apparently, this was not expected of me - and I was targeted for not being enraged like other fans were.

I’ve always tried to be thoughtful and open with my opinions, to engage respectful discussions about this movie + its lore. But not all people share this approach, and I’ve learned that the hard way. I’ve been involved in unnecessary Fandom Discourse™. I don’t have the time nor mental capacity for it anymore. I’m tired of being so attached to the TNBC canon that I let myself get genuinely upset when adaptations took different routes. It’s only hampered my mental health, so I’m done with it.

I’ll still post my thoughts/opinions about things, likely when The Battle for Pumpkin King comic releases, but don’t expect me to make long rants about canonical inconsistencies. I also won’t be responding to any venting asks or mentions anymore. They’re not my priority - and I’ll likely be sharing more memes than anything. But I no longer want to be super negative on this blog - I’ve always prioritized civil discussions, and my criticisms were never meant to be anything else. Keep in mind I’ve always been just one fan, who has my own opinions - and you’re never obligated to agree with them. Block me if you must, or just take my posts with a grain of salt. Curate your online experience. I’ll take no personal offense when you do this.

So, expect less analysis / thought posts from me in 2023. You can still send me your thoughts, ideas, headcanons, etc. - but my responses to them may be considerably shorter than they used to. I apologize in advance for this change - but I’m making this decision to look out for my mental health, and engage less in negativity.

I'm just gonna come out and say something because I think it needs to be said. If I sound like an arsehole, I'm sorry, but I need to be really blunt here.

I've been seeing people fan casting members of TBB recently and I'm seeing a recurring issue with who people want to play members of The Batch.

"Wouldn't it be great if X played *insert clone here*?".

If the person you are asking about is white, then the automatic answer is no.

I know some people don't have malicious intentions with things like this. Yes, they're good actors/actresses. Yes, personality wise they could play the character really well.

But there are already issues with whitewashing in this show and that doesn't need to carry over to live action as well.

Like I said, I really don't think most people are doing this with any ill intent, which is why I am trying to say this in the least aggressive (while still being blunt enough to get the point across) way possible. Please do not ask for white actors to play characters who should be played by Māori actors.
