Basically every other fic has a happy ending, some of them haven't reached that point (and may never) but I have a hard time justifying tragedy for my escapist hobby

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

god there's so many. i feel like a lot of them linger in limbo where I might, and do, return after months and scribble some more in them. but Ghosts is truly abandoned. mostly because i stole the idea for a different fic in another fandom where it fits better soooo

What are your writing strengths?

I think dialogue? also apparently the moments that make you want to rip your face off with YEARNING. describing emotions succinctly yet impactfully

What are your writing weaknesses?

I used to say prose, but I'm definitely happier with my prose than I was. tho now that i'm spending more time on original stuff, I think i've overcorrected? sometimes it reads a little self-indulgent, which when it's fanfic who gives a flying fart? but original and maybe someday published work? a lot of people give flying farts. so.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I've done it a lot, so... in favor? just provide the translation in the author notes, and accept ANY AND ALL CRITICISM from a native speaker

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

woof. Sherlock. don't look at me like that. it was 2012, it was a different time.

I mean, they're all my babies. but... probably SoPDoE or BoB, because they taught me SO much in their creation. and also they're FUCKING FINISHED.

My roommate is jumping in the shower while I'm going right to sleep. I turn on my desk lamp so she can see when she finishes, then change my mind and turn on hers instead. Her lampshade is metal and opaque while mine is plastic and brighter, so the room will be dimmer and I can fall asleep without leaving her in the dark, but all I can verbalize when she gives me that "why have you done this" look is "Yours is quieter. You know what I mean!" It is time for bed, my friends.
