I love how unsanitized The Terror feels. Like there’s grime everywhere. You can tell those men smell bad. When they do surgery you can hear the bone being cut, when they get sick they look genuinely ill. The main character’s actor even has pockmarks, he LOOKS like he could be from the 1800s! And idk, I think it’s cool that we’re so aware of the characters’ carnal desires. They’re hungry, thirsty, freezing, etc, and it is so obvious that they have a body with needs!!

I think this also accounts for how horny the show feels, even though everyone is bundled up 90% of the time and there are no real romantic subplots. Besides the fact that it’s a very carnal show, it just has the intimacy and grime of true horniness. Is this thing on

Just noticed something I thought was very interesting:

Victim depicts the Cursor as being giant in comparison to himself

When in reality this just wasn't true.

Victim's fear and trauma has caused him to re-imagine the Cursor into a much bigger monster than it ever was, something huge and horrible and capable of crushing him like a bug. A scale and strength fitting of how terrifying Victim considers it to be.

As opposed to the little thing barely bigger than his own head.

Except, those drawings look a little familiar...

This is literally Victim's worst nightmares made real.

Something tells me things aren't going to go very well, if the Cursor does end up being summoned into Rocket Corp...

Hey what if I finally finished one of the small town AU (Willdale Cliffs AU) refs? Meet "The Family", better known as two punks who've more or less taken over the town's park. Unlike most of the other people in Willdale Cliffs who grew up in the town, Gem only showed up a year or two ago. Joel's always been known as a bit of a delinquent, spending most of his time working on his beat up car to one day, just maybe, get the damn check engine light off. Nobody in the town quite knows how or why these two get along, but it's rare to find them too far from one another. (ty to @/goblin-hours-oclock for the comment abt what car Joel would drive— and an additional second s/o to @/eydilily for the OG inspiration for my Gem and Joel designs) Some closeups + easter eggs under the cut!

WFA continues to be absolutely hilarious to me because it really seems that with every Bruce and Batboy emotional moment they're just... Kind of phoning it in like they take the quick and easy conflict resolution a 1k fanfic trying to do hurt/comfort that addresses all the batfams trauma would. Jason's had a whole arc this season and none of it has clicked with me because it feels entirely like a fanfic version of him.

And then with Babs and Cass there's such a shift like you can feel the love the writers have for the characters every time they so much as reference them it's so good and so fucking funny. Here's Bruce and the boys talking about their feelings and comforting each other when they feel sad ANYWAY did you know that Babs as Oracle is her best self, fully autonomous and a peer to Bruce even if he's often blinded to that fact and mistakenly treats her like one of his young proteges? Did you know that if Bruce is going to fight his family his main concern would be how to beat Cass? Did you know that's because of the unique way she can read people which also leads to her feeling Different from everyone else? Shit we're losing them hey look Alfred and Bruce are having a conversation! Anyway back to Barbara and her father because we have a lot to cover here-

A little piece of the small-town Wild Life AU I've been brewing✨ The town of "historic" Willdale Cliffs, a backwater logging and mining town— that nearly every resident has abandoned. Even tourists don't stop for a break, advised by locals in the surrounding cities to never leave their car, not even for gas. Strangely, the remaining residents of Willdale seem friendly! They're good-natured and cheerful, if a little eccentric— and there's talk of an amusement park being built within town limits to try and revitalize the place. It can't be that bad! All that nonsense about "curses" and "hauntings" is just superstitious bullshit. Probably.
