Setlist Notes: The new song is called “With”. I originally thought it was “Wish”. My bad! Not sure about the order of some of those songs (maybe there’s something missing too??). I had to wait till I was on the train to write everything down but at that point, all the songs had gotten mixed up in my mind. It was made worse by the fact that I didn’t immediately recognise some of them and Hikaru didn’t always introduce them either☠️

That ticket holder clearfile looks so good!! Glad we got this as tokuten. A bit bummed though that there was no special design for the drink ticket😿For those who bought more than one copy of the “Mask” EP, there was a special present too, an alternative cover image. Super pretty 🤩 I mostly spent the rest of my day in Kyoto eating touristy stuff 😅And I headed to the Pokemon Center to get a few exclusive items for my nieces/nephews.

On a side note, those pink gummies were posted by Keiko earlier this week on her Yodel app. Of course I had to get them too (tho the packaging is a bit different, there’s a variety of designs. I got the same design as her today🤗)

Some highlights: I was SUPER close to the stage, it was AMAZING!!🤩 You can even see me quite clearly on the photo that Hikaru posted 🤗So glad she allowed us to take off our masks for the photo. Wouldn’t have wanted to miss that opportunity.

As always, Hikaru had an incredible stage presence, she was confident and cool, oozing charisma during each and every performance. I feel like we made eye contact several times but maybe that’s just wishful thinking 🙃Her singing was powerful and even though I didn’t always recognise the song (shame on me), I had a good time. “Under the rain” was hands down my favourite 💕So beautiful. I almost cried. She sounded better than she ever did before. The acoustic arrangement is very flattering. The upbeat songs were a ton of fun (despite sitting right in front of the speakers☠️). Hikaru literally rocked the stage🔥I almost feel bad for not being more active but I guess I’m just not the type to move a lot. (Clapping is the most I’ll usually do😅)

Sorry for adding lots of stuff on the go. I forgot to mention that Hikaru teased some upcoming solo activities for 2025. She says there are already more or less concrete plans but she will wait to make an announcement until everything is finalised. Of course she also briefly discussed the Kalafina Anniversary concert and asked who of us was planning to go. Obviously, almost everyone said that they would come, Hikaru seemed very happy about that and ensured us that they would put all of their love and strength into delivering the best possible music to us so we should all look forward to it.

Merry Christmas, little Beans

Today we received a Big Box from Japan. It contained 6 months or so of official Ace Attorney merchandise purchases, plus one doujin.

First there was the AA 456 Orchestral pin selection. Displayed here are all of the pins that I'm definitely or maybe keeping. There are 10 in total.

The next picture shows Apollo and Trucy can badges from the October 2024 Japanese Capcom Café (magicians), Phoenix and Miles wooden badges from the Capcom Pixel All-Stars Wood Badge collection (this link is super cute), and a tiny pin showing Apollo and Trucy throwing fish around.

Actually, it is a normal-sized pin, but it has such a detailed picture that it seems tiny. These pins were produced for a collaboration between Capcom and a rail company, and each one shows a location that you can get to by train. There are four Ace Attorney pins in total.

Apollo and Trucy Trading-card style acrylic stands from the October 2024 Japanese Capcom Café. I haven't decided yet whether I'm keeping both can badges or both acrylic stands. I don't normally do acrylic stands because I entirely lack horizontal surfaces in my home (they're all covered in Stuff), but I really like the full illustrations.

Klavier acrylic keyring from FANTHFUL, same design as the metal pin that I already have, but I really love the 3D effect from the layered acrylic.

Also Klavier and Apollo bookmark/keyrings from the online Capcom Store on Parco. The bookmark part is embossed fake leather, the keyring is small enough to be of actual practical use! (In comparison to all the giant keyrings which are more for hanging off bags than having keys attached.)

Finally, this picture shows an A4-sized "clearfile" (plastic binder) with the design from the Japanese-only physical release of the AA456 Odoroki Selection, and a doujin by my favourite Klapollo author, glucose. This one seems to be sweet rather than sexy, featuring such scenes as Apollo buying ice cream for Klavier because he has a sore throat and fever.

The Beans are very happy with their Christmas merch haul :D

This Apollo is from the merchandise for the 2019 Gyakuten Saiban Orchestra Concert (逆転裁判 オーケストラコンサート2019). There are in fact 4 pieces of merchandise available plus the CD itself.

Acrylic stands. Here's a picture from Kazuya Nuri's official Twitter account showing all 8 of the characters. He writes that "You can also enjoy the size difference between the characters when you line them up!"

3) Photograph frames. My Japanese is non-existent and I make do with Google Translate and the help of my friend @hikari-kaitou (who is fluent, and is doing translation commissions NOW), but I'm under the impression that people who attended the concert received a photo frame as a gift. There are two designs, AA and DGS, and I believe there may have been two sizes as well? Here's the AA photo frame:

4) Clearfiles. Japan loves clearfiles (plastic files for putting up to about 10 sheets of paper in, usually A4-sized but sometimes A5) and these can be found occasionally. There was one clearfile for the Ace Attorney characters and a second one for the DGS characters. I haven't been able to find a good photograph of the actual items, so here's the "Sample" version from a press site.

5) The actual CD. Disc one is AA music and disc two is DGS music.

If you're interested in buying any of these items, the acrylic stands, badges, photo frames, and CDs are very easily obtained by using a proxy site such as Buyee to buy from Japanese Mercari or Yahoo! Auctions. Enter "逆転裁判 オーケストラコンサート2019" in the search box. Suruga-Ya also have some of these items for sale, though they don't ship to all countries. Do be aware that buying anything from a proxy site essentially triples the price you will pay for it, due to the fees and the extremely high cost of postage from Japan at the moment.

So, I hear you say, this is all wonderful, but haven't they missed the most famous Ace Attorney musician of all? Well, no. Our favourite rockstar prosecutor, Klavier Gavin, didn't go to the orchestra concert. He was playing at the 逆転裁判LIVE～OBJECTION!！2019～ rock concert instead.

This time, Apollo was on drums.

A trailer for the Blu-Ray Box was uploaded and it's pure Aikoto!

To keep things homogenous, I went for the official translation included in the movies. However, it's obvious they edited this so it would look like Aigis and Makoto are talking to each other, which is why I went for [our] instead of [my] in that fourth line.

ALSO! The movie site changed for the first time since 2016 (😭) and revealed that there will be pre-order bonuses to go along with the Box! There will be an A3 clearfile that is common to all pre-order sites, but each site will also offer its own benefits.

Among those is Tsutaya, which is including a 4-set bromide. Considering that Tsutaya released 3 Aikoto clearfiles in the past, perhaps the bromide set may feature those designs as well? 😭

May - June Shopping - Part 4: Cleafiles

Collecting clearfiles is not new for me but nowadays I tend to get more - instead of acrylic stands or keychains. They take up much less space, can be used as posters (cat claw safe type) and they are much cheaper than the other merch.

Even though I have all stands of the HQ!! tree ones, I could not resist the clearfiles...

Blue Lock - it’s a sports manga which I don’t even read but anime is coming out soon and loved the character design and these were on sale.
