His violet eyes flicked toward the door, and he sighed impatiently. "Can it wait?" he retorted, his tone as cold as ever.

You swallowed hard, forcing yourself to take a step into the lab. "I... I can't wait any longer," you stammered, your hands trembling. "Reiji, I need to tell you something." Reiji raised an eyebrow, finally tearing his gaze away from his experiments. "This had better be important," he grumbled, irritation clear in his voice.

Gathering every ounce of courage you had, you took another step closer. "Reiji, I like you," you confessed, your eyes locked onto his. "I know you're always busy with your experiments, but I can't keep this to myself any longer." For a moment, silence hung heavy in the air. Reiji stared at you, his normally composed expression faltering. Then, he let out a long, exasperated sigh. "Honestly, you choose the most inconvenient times for such matters."

But to your surprise, a small, almost imperceptible smile tugged at the corners of his lips. "Very well," he conceded. "I suppose we can discuss this later. For now, help me with this experiment. Your assistance might prove useful." Though his dismissal was still evident, his willingness to entertain the idea warmed your heart. You nodded eagerly, stepping closer to Reiji and his bubbling potions, grateful for this small moment of connection with the prideful vampire.

I was out on my nightly patrol in Bludhaven. When I saw her walk under a streetlight with a stranger. She was so immersed in the conversation and unaware of any danger that could happen around her. I thought that she's beautiful and I need to see her again and find out everything about her.

~a week later~

I keep telling myself what's another night out if I know I might get the chance to see her so I go back to the first place I saw her and there she is. I'm praying for a crime to happen just so I can see her up close and talk to her. Then out of the corner of my eye I see a guy approaching her with a knife and I know this is my chance. I jump down from the roof top and disarm him and knock him out. "Are you alright?" I say. "I am thanks to you" she says "What's your name?" I ask. "Y/N" she says. "Y/N" I say with a smile while taking in her features and I realize she's even prettier up close. I then realize I should say my name because I've just been staring at her with heart eyes. "Well Y/N I'm Night-wing." "Maybe I'll see you around some time under different circumstances. Night-wing" she says. "Oh and thanks for saving me." she kisses my cheek and walks off. I stand there for a solid minute smiling like an idiot with my hand pressed to where she kissed my cheek.

~a few days later~

I finally see her out of my Night-wing suit in a coffee shop. I run after her and say "Excuse me but I saw you in the coffee shop and thought you were really pretty. Would you mind going out with me sometime?" "Oh thank you so much and sure what's your name and number?" "Right my names Dick Grayson and here I'll write my number down for you." I say. "Alright I'll see you some time this week?" she says. Later that night I get a text from an unknown number it says -Hey this is Y/N. I save it to my contacts and respond with - Hey this is Grayson. -When are you free to meet up? She sends. -How about drinks Saturday around 6:30 pm? I send back. -Works for me see you Friday she types. I cant wait for it to be Saturday.

~Saturday~

I get to that bar a little early and order a beer and wait for Y/N. When she walks in I feel like how I felt when I saved her from the thug. I walk up to her and give her a side hug and say "Hey Y/N what do you want to drink?" She tells me her order and when we sit down at the bar I order it for her. We start talking I learn about her family and that she is in collage studying to go into publication. I learn she has a cat and has never broken a bone. I tell her a little about my childhood and growing up with Bruce and my adopted brothers. Once we decide to leave the bar I give her another hug and I say "I had a great time tonight and I would love to do this again if you want to." "I would love to" she says. We go on a couple more dates and after our fifth date I suggest she comes home with me tonight. When we get to my apartment we both take off our shoes and cuddle on the couch I reach for the remote and turn the TV on. As were curled up on the couch I look over at her and decide I want to do what I've wanted to do since our third date. "Hey Y/N" I whisper softly and see her turn her head to look at me "Can I be your boyfriend because I really like you and I've wanted to ask you since our third date but thought that it would be to ea-" "I would love for you to be my boyfriend Dick" she says. "Since were officially dating I have one more thing I want to tell you because I know I can trust you. Also because were dating I don't want to keep secrets from you. I'm Night-wing" I say while feeling a little anxious and exasperated. "I had a hunch you gave me the same look in the bar he gave me after he saved me" she says. "What was the look?" I say. "Oh you know heart eyes" she says with a laugh before kissing me.

I have not seen Jungkook for two days. He asked me not to be disturbed as he worked. I am no stranger to his absence, to his coldness and scrutiny. But he wasn’t always like this.  I remember he once used to smile, he used to spend time with Ji-hoon, he used to be happy. But now, he lives in the shell of the man he became. The renowned doctor, the prodigy, the god-turned-scientist.  He had been robbed of his happiness. By time. By greed. By insolence.  She stole it from him and it was him who was left grieving.  I had been with him through his smiles and his tears. I had given it my all and yet, I’d still give him more.  He may see me as just his assistant, his confidant, Ji-hoon’s caretaker. But to me, he is everything.  March/28/2035

Day 2 of Planning My Summer Romance Book 🏖️🩵

I spent a lot of yesterday doing writing sprints with a couple of lovely Christian friends on discord in a server I made and we all got so much done, I'm incredibly proud of us! I managed to finish the three act structure, and this morning I moved onto planning the first chapter!

So, now we have the first chapter planned, and later on today I'll start planning chapter two! I'm loving how much motivation this little group has had over the past couple of days! 🩵

I have about half an hour until my online church service starts, but I'm excited to do some more planning later on! 🏖️
