Aziraphale had always been able to feel when a place was loved. As an angel, love was very much in his remit. Often it was just a sense of warmth in a local coffee shop, or the infusion of countless weddings into the stone walls of a church keeping damp at bay. Tadfield had been a special case, Adam’s love for the place multiplying the feeling to almost unfathomable levels, but every close-knit village across the country hummed with a similar, albeit it far subtler, joy.
It was therefore not particularly strange to settle into the Bentley, reading himself for the drive to Edinburgh, and feel a wave of love from the vehicle. Crowley had loved the car for ninety years. That kind of attachment couldn’t possibly not leave a mark. Usually when Aziraphale was in the Bentley, he was sitting beside Crowley, whose terrible emotion processing skills worked hard to suppress the feelings, but now Aziraphale was alone he could tell the car was so clearly cherished. He couldn’t help but smile, running his hands over the leather of the steering wheel to reassure the car that he’d take good care of it, because it clearly mattered to Crowley so deeply.
It was thirty miles out of London that Aziraphale started to become aware that there was something slightly different about the love infused into the Bentley. Usually it went one way, a place was loved but it couldn’t really love back. The car, however, seemed almost fond of him. It played classical musical when Aziraphale asked it nicely, the horn honked merrily rather than with the aggression Crowley usually forced from it on the rare occasions he thought it worth using at all. The travel sweets and the new yellow detailing, the comfortable and warm leather seats, the safe driving speed – Aziraphale could feel the Bentley desperate to please him.
It was only after Crowley checked in through the radio that Aziraphale realised what was going on. It seemed mad to even think it, but it was the only logical answer. Crowley’s love, not just for the Bentley but for Aziraphale specifically, was laced into the fabric of the car, so strongly it was echoing back. He would never have believed it, but the same feeling he got from the car was threaded under Crowley’s words. He might have complained about the yellow paint and the travel sweets, but really he was checking in to make sure Aziraphale was alright. After millennia of existing together, Aziraphale had learnt to read between the lines. So when Crowley asked him to drive faster, he knew that didn’t mean put yourself in danger to get my car back to me quicker, it meant get yourself back to me as fast as possible, because I feel better when I know you’re safe. Aziraphale knew better than to point it out, but he also wasn’t going to protest – he loved a good caper, but he knew he’d also feel better when he was back at the bookshop. Back with Crowley.

10 classic films for beginners
Which hopefully aren’t too basic
Vivacious woman
Summary - College town life gets turned upside down after a button-down botany professor secretly weds a sizzling nightclub singer.
Notes: Jimmy Stewart and Ginger Rogers have incredible chemistry, definitely worth a watch if you love rom-coms!!
Don’t bother to knock
Summary - An airline pilot pursues a live-in babysitter at his hotel and gradually realizes she is not as stable as perhaps she should be.
Notes: one of my favourite Marilyn Monroe performances. This is a one of a kind performance in her catalogue and well worth the watch
The Hitch Hiker
Summary: Roy and Gilbert's fishing trip takes a terrifying turn when the hitchhiker they pick up turns out to be a sociopath on the run from the law. He's killed before, and he lets the two know that as soon as they're no longer useful, he'll kill again. The two friends plot an escape, but the hitchhiker's peculiar physical affliction, an eye that never closes even when he sleeps, makes it impossible for them to tell when they can make a break for it.
Notes: a female directed thriller, the suspense of this story is enough to keep you entertained for the whole run time
Repulsion
Summary: Beautiful young manicurist Carole suffers from androphobia (the pathological fear of interaction with men). When her sister and roommate, Helen, leaves their London flat to go on an Italian holiday with her married boyfriend, Carole withdraws into her apartment. She begins to experience frightful hallucinations, her fear gradually mutating into madness.
Notes: Roman Polanskis first film on English, it really shines in both direction and the performance from Catherine Deneuve
The red shoes
Summary: In this classic drama, Vicky Page is an aspiring ballerina torn between her dedication to dance and her desire to love. While her imperious instructor, Boris Lermontov, urges to her to forget anything but ballet, Vicky begins to fall for the charming young composer Julian Craster.
Eventually Vicky, under great emotional stress, must choose to pursue either her art or her romance, a decision that carries serious consequences.
Notes: the technicolour in this movie really shines against the ballet sequences, if you love ballet, a tortured artist or just some beautiful cinematography, give this a watch.
Roman holiday
Summary: Overwhelmed by her suffocating schedule, touring European princess Ann takes off for a night while in Rome. When a sedative she took from her doctor kicks in, however, she falls asleep on a park bench and is found by an American reporter, Joe Bradley, who takes her back to his apartment for safety. At work the next morning, Joe finds out Ann's regal identity and bets his editor he can get exclusive interview with her, but romance soon gets in the way.
Notes: if you’re looking for a movie that feels like a warm hug, try this. Romantic and a gorgeous Gregory Peck, what more do you need
Angel face
Summary: Ambulance driver Frank Jessup is ensnared in the schemes of the sensuous but dangerous Diane Tremayne.
Notes: An almost predictable noir, it’s highly enjoyable seeing Jean Simmons in this type of role
The children’s hour
Summary: A private all-girls boarding school is scandalized when one spiteful student accuses the two young women who run it of having a romantic relationship.
Notes: Audrey Hepburn and Shirley MacLaine add such emotion to this story, making anyone enthralled by the tragic story
The shop around the corner
Summary: Two employees at a gift shop can barely stand one another, without realising that they are falling in love through the post as each other's anonymous pen pal.
Notes: Jimmy Stewart is so charming in this, an amazing watch around the holiday season
Bonnie and Clyde
Summary: In the 1930s, bored waitress Bonnie Parker falls in love with an ex-con named Clyde Barrow and together they start a violent crime spree through the country, stealing cars and robbing banks.
Notes: Faye Dunaways outfits are enough to make you watch this, her berets really brought the trend to life again

what do you think Harry’s relationship was with Nadine?
Thanks for the ask and sorry for the delay. Like any girl in the 1D years Nadine Leopold was hated at the time and abused by directioners. I think it was casual and clearly a set up by Jeff who was always around. Even shippers of them only have them together for 3 weeks nearly evenly spread over 9 weeks. There doesn't seem to be bad feeling between them, he performed with her and her friends at the VS show in 2017.
Harry followed her on Twitter on August 21 2014, 1D was on tour and a lot happened before they were seen together which gives context:
1989 and JALBOYH were released and Taylor's RS article where she implied her (new) publicist (Tree) told her dating (H) isn't a good idea came out. The heart eyes AMAs are here too.
Harry raised the Hiatus with 1D at the Band Aid on 15 November and the band was actively falling apart and it was definitely time to prepare for solo Harry.
Then on 19 November Harry and Taylor go to The 1975's concert together and then Taylor sees them again without Harry. This is the start/basis of Maylor shippery.
Harry and Nadine were first seen the next week, 28 November 2014 at a Fleetwood Mac concert. Harry arrived back from Australia that morning and had what looked like a double date set up with Jeff and Glenne. The same day they went to Nice Guy in LA, also with Jeff and Glenne, maybe before or after the concert. He flew to London the next day, as did Taylor.
But then nothing happened for 3 weeks, during which 1D, Harry & Taylor were in London. Harry and Taylor were seen dancing together, being friendly and left the VS show 5 minutes apart and on 9 December 2014 a seemingly intoxicated Liam made a beard joke at Harry's expense on TV. Harry returned to NYC for 5 days (17 - 21st December) (he stayed at the Bowery) and was then was seen at Jeff and Glenne's in NYC where Nadine was with them, including the 1D SNL afterparty and gallery visit.
The classic Nadine photos were when he wore her purple fluffy coat she posted to Instagram earlier and H got mad at Paparazzi on (Jeff's?) suburban street in NYC, then she disappeared for another 3 weeks, during which Taylor said Harry would interrupt her wedding:
On 2 January 2015 and not seen till the 6th. In that time Taylor posted lyrics from Clean which Harry repeated a year later. On the 6th, Harry went to Shamrock Tattoo where Nadine had her birthdate tattooed. There was a rumour he got 'NL' tattooed, but it was never seen so I think not. Also no photos of him there as far as I know.
On 7 January Harry filled his car with Balloons and went to Craigs for Nadine's birthday, they also went to Cafe Habana with Jeff and Glenne 7 January. Then she again disappeared for 2 weeks during which Harry saw Taylor at Caleb Followill's birthday. During this time Taylor posted some snarky things including the Temper Trap lyrics kitchen and Haim Bikini Hawaii photos.
On 22 January they got Fro-yo together and Harry drove, this is the only time they were seen together without Jeff.
1 February - Nadine attended Harry's 21st birthday, (the only photo of them together is the one with her behind Beckham) there were media reports of PDA, though no photos of PDA or sources. (note Camille liked her post about Glenne's birthday) 6 months later, Harry was rumoured to hook up with Sara, the girl she is with in the photo at his party. Overall it does not seem his connection to Nadine was deep.
They were last seen a few days later 4 February at Go Greek on the way to the airport for the OTRA tour.. with Jeff. Harry was in Australia and Nadine in the US until the break up announced.
It was announced they broke up 10 march 2015, there were two stories both that Nadine ended it:
because she was 'too busy', and
she was worried he was cheating
There is a quote that I can only find on Tumblr 6 January 2016 attributed to her (in a german interview?) ""He's a really great human with a really big heart [...] We both have extreme careers, and we're doing our own things [...] What happened or didn't happen in the past stays between us." - Nadine while asked about Harry."
In a 'reality' show she said she received death threats and another model says they 'dated for a minute' Nadine doesn't say his name. (2018 Model Squad, x) it seems scripted, but whatever:
Xander - Nadine may have introduced Harry to Xander and Maxwell Ritz who he is still friends with (Maxwell at least). Xander appeared in Nadine's Snapchat in September 2014, Harry followed Xander in December 2014.
#Hadine#woke up the girl who looked just like you#if she has blue eyes I will surmise you’ll probably date her

The Grey Man
Chapter 10: Wild Mint
One day, Holford awoke from a fitful nap to find the wagon a little brighter than normal. Tommy had left the doors ajar. Refusing the call of the sunshine and fresh air, Holford returned to his position facing the dark wall. He could smell wood-smoke from the campfire. A breeze stirred the curtains and the tassels.
After a while, Tommy’s voice came from outside.
“Are you awake?”
“...Yes.”
“Then come out here.”
Dragging himself out of his torpor, Holford rose, drew his blanket around his shoulders, and limped towards the wagon’s doors. He stepped blinking out into the sunshine, onto the narrow ledge where the driver would perch. Tommy was sitting with his legs hanging over the side, chewing on something. A small sprig of green.
“What do you want?” Holford asked. His tone was subdued and his posture defeated.
“Fancy one?” Tommy offered up a leaf.
“What is it?”
“Mint.”
Holford accepted, and nibbled the edge of the leaf cautiously. He expected it to taste like dirt, but it had the familiar cooling flavour, albeit with a bitter edge.
“Sit next to me,” said Tommy.
Holford obeyed, wincing as he manoeuvred himself down. He rested his feet on the steps which led down onto the grass; and turned his face towards the clouds, feeling the cool sunshine and fresh breeze on his skin. For a while, the two men sat in silence - Tommy chewing, Holford merely existing.
“Do you like horses?” Tommy finally spoke.
“I suppose so.”
“Do you keep any?”
“No. I prefer a car. It’s faster. And cleaner.”
“Afraid of a bit of dirt?”
“Well, I am a doctor, Mister Shelby.”
“True enough. Do you go to the races?”
“If obligation demands it. I don’t much enjoy crowds, though.”
“Not clean enough for you?”
“Not calm enough. I don’t like ruckus and sweat.”
“Or fun, by the sounds of it.” Tommy offered him another leaf. “Lived in Derbyshire long?”
“All my life.”
“Grew up in that house, eh?”
“It belonged to my mother’s side of the family. I was an only child, so when she and my father passed away, I inherited everything.”
“What happened to them?”
“Spanish influenza. The second wave of the pandemic, the winter of 1918. Even the rich weren’t spared its ravages.”
“Let me guess - that’s why you went into medicine.”
“Yes.”
“1918,” Tommy mused. “How old were you?”
“Seventeen.”
“Who took care of you until your eighteenth birthday?”
“My servants. And, I suppose, distant relatives who wanted my money.”
“I see. How was your life before that?”
“Idyllic. Carefree. My mother was kind and my father…worked a lot, which suited us fine. I spent my time reading, dancing, singing, playing the piano. I had no troubles.”
“Sounds like paradise.” Tommy picked the final leaf off the sprig, popping it in his mouth. He flicked away the naked stem. “Do you travel much? When you’re not showing up at fascist weddings, I mean.”
“A few times a year. Medical conferences and such. Berlin, Munich, Paris.”
“You don’t travel for pleasure?”
“My work keeps me too busy.”
“You should try it some time. Take a break, get away from everyone. Like me - sometimes I just hop in a caravan and drive. Don’t need to go anywhere in particular, just drive. Enjoy the solitude, listen to the trees, eat what you catch with your own two hands. It clears the head. Gives you perspective.”
“Tommy,” Holford interrupted. “If you let me live, I am never setting food in the countryside again. I’ll stay in central London until the day I die.”
“Good to know. Maybe it’s different for me. My father was an Irish Traveller, my mother was a Gypsy. The countryside’s in my blood.” Tommy stretched a little, and rolled his stiff neck until it clicked. “I imagine you keep an extensive library in that big house. What books do you read?”
“Textbooks, mostly. I was obliged to learn the great classics at school, but I always preferred non-fiction for some reason. I suppose I thought real life was already strange and ridiculous enough, it didn’t need embellishment. What about you?”
“I’m partial to Shakespeare, as you may have guessed. And Dickens. What about sports, do you play any sports?”
“Mister Shelby, why are you asking me all these questions?”
“When you’ve been living with a man for over a month, and sharing a bunk on occasion, it seems appropriate to get to know him.”
“There’s not much to know. I’m an ordinary person.” Holford’s feet were getting cold. He drew them up inside the blanket.
“You never sang for me,” said Tommy.
“Pardon?”
“You offered to sing for me. I’m taking you up on that offer.”
“Mm…maybe another time. My throat’s still a little sore.”
“Fine. A poem, then. You seem like the sort of man who knows a poetry book by heart.”
“You think too highly of me. Let me think.” Holford sighed, rifling through mental filing cabinets that had grown dusty from neglect. “Alright, here’s one. When, like committed linnets, I with shriller throat shall sing - ”
“What is this?”
“Lovelace’s tribute to Althea. Written 1642.”
“I can’t say I know it.”
“Well, I have a fondness for old, doomed melancholics. I with shriller throat shall sing the sweetness, mercy, majesty, and glories of my King: when I shall voice aloud how good He is, how great should be; enlarged winds, that curl the flood, know no such liberty - ”
“Christ.”
“Mister Shelby, please.”
“Sorry. Carry on.”
“Stone walls do not a prison make, nor iron bars a cage: minds innocent and quiet take that for an hermitage. If I have freedom in my love, and in my soul am free; angels alone, that soar above, enjoy such liberty.”
“Very nice.”
“What about you? Recite me something.”
“In the bleak midwinter,” Tommy began, and then stopped. “I think that’s enough poetry.”
“You can’t finish what you started?”
“Judging by the fact that you’re still alive, no, it seems I can’t.”
Holford was shivering now. His nose and ears were turning pink from the cold.
“I’d like to go back inside, please,” he said.
“Aye, go on, then.”
Holding his blanket tight around him, Holford turned and disappeared back into the wagon - back into the semi-darkness and the cramped bunk with which he’d become far too familiar.
And so their routine continued, with one new addition: when the weather was mild, the doctor would join Tommy outside, to talk or simply to sit in silence. The extent of Holford’s liberty grew further and further, until he was sitting on the bottom step, then on the grass, then by the small campfire where Tommy cooked their supper. Tommy no longer bothered closing the doors, leaving them wide-open when the weather permitted it.
The rabbits which Tommy brought back were already skinned - he never did the skinning in front of Holford. Partly because he didn’t want to spill blood in the camp, and partly because he didn’t want to trigger memories of the doctor’s torture. Holford would always be haunted by the spectre of Pascoe, but Tommy shielded him from the recollection in whatever small ways he could.
Holford didn’t have the stomach to help spit-roast the rabbits, but he helped with the herbs and wild-flowers that Tommy gathered; picking apart the leaves and the stems. He had to ask Tommy what they were. Mint, nettles, dandelion, sorrel, yarrow, wild garlic. None of it anything he would’ve considered eating a month ago, but all of it precious. He watched the leaves and petals wilt in the simmering water, imparting flavour to the lean meat, and tried to discern if the steam smelled different.
Finally, there came a morning when the dressings were taken off for the last time. The site was ugly and tender, and it would still need to be washed regularly, but it was no longer an open wound. He would remember the feel of the knife every time he saw it, every time his sleeve dragged over it; but every day, Pascoe’s ghost grew more faint while Holford’s mind grew more clear. More awake. More alive.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show: It’s origins and impact on the LGBTQIA+ community 51 years later
“The Rocky Horror Show” is the title of the original theatrical production created by Richard O’Brien. It opened for the first time in London, June 19th, 1973, at the Royal Court Theatre, featuring Tim Curry (Frank-n-Furter), Richard O’Brien (Riff-Raff), Patricia Quinn (Usherette/Magenta) and Little Nell (Columbia). I happen to own a 1987 LP re-issue of the Original London Cast Recording that perfectly conveys the shows’ low budget beginnings and Richard O’Brien’s intent of marrying sexual liberation, glam rock’s androgyny and science fiction B movies. The singer Meat Loaf would later join the cast during the Los Angeles run of the stage show and would also reprise his role as Eddie in the 1975 film adaptation of the show titled “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” alongside Tim Curry, Richard O’Brien, Patricia Quinn and the freshly added Susan Sarandon.
The show follows the story of newly engaged Brad Majors and Janet Weiss who decide to make a trip to visit their former science teacher Dr. Everett Scott, who inadvertently introduced them to each other during a science “exam-it” (“Dammit Janet”). These love birds had no way of knowing that their car would get a flat tire while driving on a desolate road, leaving them stranded and forcing them to walk under the rain to ask for help of whoever lives in the castle they had recently driven by (“Over at the Frankenstein Place”). Upon arrival on the castle the main couple meet Riff-Raff, Magenta and Columbia, servants of Dr Frank-n-Furter who undress them and show them around the during the most famous musical number of TRHPS: “Time Warp”, choreography included. They later meet Frank during “Sweet Transvestite” and are invited to witness his new creation, a muscular, tan, blonde man, who shares half the brain of the deceased Eddie, who show up to sing rock ‘n roll number “Hot Patootie – Bless My Soul”, only to be murdered once again by Frank. Brad and Janet both secretly cheat on each other following Frank’s advances, but when Janet finds out what Brad has done she decides to get with Rocky -the creation- too (“Touch-A, Touch-A, Touch Me”). Frank, now mad that his creation has been shared with Janet and because of the arrival of Dr. Scott, turns everyone into statues and gets them on a stage to perform “Rose Tint My World”, turning them back to normal only for them to jump into a pool and begin to make love to each other. Riff-Raff and Magenta show up to announce their return to their home planet “Transexual” and kill Rocky, Frank and Columbia, allowing Janet, Brad and Dr. Scott to escape (“Super Heroes”).
Last night, June 20th, 2024, at 10 pm after Pride, I attended an interactive screening of TRHPS, 51 years after it was created. Many members of the audience came dressed as their favorite characters (I went as Frank!), the cinema provided us with props to use during the screening such as rice to throw during the wedding scenes, water guns to make it rain, confetti to throw up in the air, etc. following the now established traditions of the cult classic’s screenings. The crowd went wild shouting callbacks at the screen, everyone sang along to the songs, even a makeshift shadow cast formed at the front. It was truly electrifying!
To me, TRHPS is a landmark of LGBTQIA+ history that says we were, we are, and we will always be here - and we should have some fun and do the Time Warp while we’re at it.
-María Jesús Espinoza

The Forgetting by Hannah Beckerman
Opening Tally
Marriages: 2 Divorces: 0
The Forgetting feels like an odd book, when you first pick it up. The story is set in England, so I found myself, as an American reader, googling things like 'lorry' (semi-truck) and making sure that yes, they do indeed spell "curb" as "kerb". There's also the distinct choice of writing one protagonist in First Person POV and the other in Third, but this wasn’t the first time I'd encountered a book with this writing choice, so I rolled on. Some chapters are so short that they feel unnecessary, to the point of quite literally being the front and back of a page. Even when we were down to the final confrontation between one woman and her husband there were still so-called chapter breaks interrupting this linear conversation in a park.
Livvy is a new mom on her LEGALLY MANDATED YEAR OF MATERNITY LEAVE (screaming that part loudly for the Americans to have their minds blown). Her husband, Dominic, is a freelance contractor whose current schedule only allows him home on the weekends. She's eager to get back to work and has good relationships with her sister and parents, who all live in Bristol close to her.
Anna is an amnesiac. She has just woken up in a London hospital with no memory of her life and especially no memory of Stephen, who introduces himself as her husband of 12 years and has to leave town on weekends for work. Over the course of the story and her recovery you learn she has no family (only child, her parents died), no friends (withdrew from social life after losing her job), and no children (she and Stephen were infertile).
Or.....wait no that's not true, because she finds pictures of her with a baby. Stephen lied, to protect her! And oh wait, she didn't lose her job as a librarian because of budget cuts, she left it after being depressed by the loss of the baby.
As for Dominic, you get the early sense that he's too good to be true: a gentleman who stepped up to the plate after an accidental pregnancy and has nothing but love in his heart for his new family, an adult replacement for the family he says abused him in childhood.
I won’t bury the lede: This is a slowburn domestic abuse story. Nothing feels too abnormal, too outside the bounds of common marital strife. Yes, couples sometimes lie to each other. Yes, couples can have different ideas of what their perfect family looks like. Yes, couples can have arguments that get heated. But it's the slow creep of toxicity that gives this story its tension. You ask yourself if YOU are susceptible to the same things Anna and Livvy begin to resign themselves to living with: lies and manipulation and browbeating and negging and isolation and, eventually, physical violence. This is a horror novel where you're screaming at the women to get out of there, RUN! But the boogeyman isn't under their bed-- he's in it.
The small details pileup overtime like grains of sand in an hourglass: white flowers, special nicknames, platinum wedding rings, short hair, classical music (Schubert, The Trout Quintet). It's not an instantaneous reveal but a slow peel, the revelation that Stephen and Dominic are the same man. His work trips align so that he can be in Bristol for the weekend with his wife and child, and London during the week with his other wife. He even has Livvy's love letters hidden in a box in the attic. A bigamist, that most foul of liars.
It is not a peel but a cacophonous crash, to discover Anna and Livvy are also the same woman.
Livvy's third-person chapters are told concurrently, but all happened in the past. Anna's first-person chapters are the present and tainted with the garbage heap of lies her husband has fed her since the car accident, a road rage incident that he caused. It's smart, a twist I've seen before, but can't say I saw coming. Bravo, Beckerman. There is a bit of nonsense about middle names as first names, relayed clumsily in the epilogue to explain the Anna/Livvy, Dominic/Stephen switch, but I can see why the explanation was built in to undercut any discussion of "plotholes".
This book clocks in at over 300 pages, and there's definitely some points where the pacing could have been picked up and moved things along faster. Chop 50 pages out of it and you’d have a much tighter story.
I enjoyed reading this, but won’t be picking up any of her other works. The novel lived up to its name and I forgot about it immediately after reading. There’s also the matter of JK Rowling's transphobia running rampant in the UK, and I find it hard to trust English artists who have made no definitive statements about trans rights. I recommend picking this one up at a library if you can, and if you can forgive me for spoiling the book’s twist.
Livvy/Anna gets a restraining order against Dominic/Stephen, with the implication that she will be filing for divorce soon after.
Closing Tally
Marriages: 1 Divorces: 0 (technically) Restraining Orders: 1
Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5)

Meet Betsy the camper van. A photo booth with a difference. The original photo booths on the party scene were basically boxes. Much like the old Woolworths or Post Office booths where you would go for a passport photo. Indeed some of the first models used inkjet printers, so not only were they slow. but you would have to wait for the ink to dry. As things progressed they started to use dye sublimation printers. These used rolls of paper matched to rolls of ink, the paper would be run through the print mechanism four times. Cyan, Magenta and blue would be overlaid on the paper to form the image, then a clear laminate film sealed over the top. The prints were not only quick, but instantly dry and water proof. The booths themselves though tended not to change much, still being basically boxes. Then quirky booths began to appear. Booths in London taxi cabs, classic mini's, a telephone booth, even a Del Boy Trotter van had a booth in. Mini Camper Booth We had booths installed in all of the above. We were always on the lookout for something different we could stick a booth in. Looking around different vehicles we came across a mini camper van. It looked like a VW camper that had been shrunk. So we investigated. It turned out to actually be a Subaru Sambar. It was one of a special range of vehicles sold in Japan called Kei cars. These had to be no more than 3.4 metres in length with an engine no bigger than 660cc. Our particular model was actually a high spec version. It had the 660cc supercharged engine, along with four wheel drive and an interior that allowed the front seats to swivel around and face the rear seats. Along with two sunroofs. The car in its basic guise looked nothing like a camper. However the Japanese seem to have an obsession with VW campers. This led to numerous firms converting them with fibreglass panels to look like the VW T2 campers. The main change is the addition of a large VW front grill, along with side panels and stainless steel bumpers. A close look will rapidly reveal it isn't a genuine VW, but it is surprising how often people will ask if we had a VW specially shortened. camper crazy photo booth hire Ours was a blue and white colour when it arrived. We had it resprayed pearl white and candy apple red. Along with a new leather interior in red and white and an internal respray of all the panels. Camper Interior For festival themed jobs we added a roof mounted surf board to dispense the prints, a music system playing Beach Boys songs and tiki themed dress up accessories. Chauvet Mini Camper Booth-300x169-1 Betsy The Camper is definitely a perfect match for festival themed weddings and events. Read the full article

Factors to Consider When Choosing a Banqueting Hall

Is the venue easy to find? Is it near public transport or ample parking for guests driving to the event?
3. Flexibility
Does the venue allow for personalized décor or themes? Some banqueting halls have restrictions, so clarify this beforehand.
4. Catering Services

Stick to your budget, but remember that cheaper venues might lack the level of service or amenities you require. Balance affordability with quality.

Previous guests’ experiences can give you insight into what to expect.
The Role of Catering in a Banqueting Hall Event
Good food leaves a lasting impression. Most banqueting halls offer in-house catering services with customizable menus. Whether you're going for a traditional three-course meal or a more casual buffet, ensure the food aligns with your event’s tone and theme.
Venue Decor and Customization
One of the biggest advantages of banqueting halls is the ability to tailor the décor to your event. Most venues provide a blank canvas, allowing you to create your dream setting. Whether it's flowers, lighting, or a unique seating arrangement, customization is key to personalizing your event.
