Have become sooooo obsessed with robert jacob sugden recently. Oh to be a soap opera character, having your entire life be represented on screen with wild inconsistancy.

Yeah, if you follow me or even just look at some of my posts, you'll know I have words to say about this here spoiler article...

Moving on to the headline. Ah yes, finally, they profess their love. They've been through so much, haven't they? They way the fans have been kept waiting for this moment! *more sarcasm*

Who wouldn't be unimpressed with a camping trip in actual late December?? I still can't help but be conspirational about this need of John's to drag Aaron on this trip, where he then suddenly opens up about Aidan (which he can't do at home with all the pressure of everyday life!), and I love yous are said... It still sounds like something someone could have planned if they were told about SSW 2016 and wanted to recreate it...

I'm sorry, they are going to be kept warm by the glow of their hearts??!! 🤣🤣🤣

They've both dragged their heels? Okay, if you say so. They met in August and moved in together in November, seems pretty quick to me, by soap standards, but what do I know? (I know that Robron met in November 2014 and moved in together in July 2016...)

What emotional connection are they depening? They've never talked before this! Their off screen time together must be much better than their on screen one...

Aaron's been hung up on Robert for so long, you say? (Thought it was just Seb?) Also, poor ol' murdered Ben and the bloke Aaron was going to uproot from Italy. Guess we were right about them all along, huh 🤷‍♀️ Bet we are right about this guy too 😇

Not only are they in love you guys, they are deeply in love. This need to lay it on so thick in the spoilers comes directly from the lack of effort they have put in with this pairing from day 1. Classic case of tell, don't show that Emmerdale has favored so much these last couple of years.

Less dramatic times, you say? That's Emmerdale code for more dramatic isn't it? And more laughs means Aaron's going to cry again? Because Danny has not been working this much lately for Aaron and John to be having a laugh in the pub...

I'm not convinced that Robert will come back this Christmas, but I'm definitely not ruling out an early 2025 return 🤞

As a final note, the fact that the Emmerdale team and most of the media aren't trying to create suspicion about John makes me even more suspicious... Remember when they tried to make Ben interesting with secret phonecalls and mystery men in taxis? This John thing is the complete opposite, which makes me 👀

Right now, everything is too neat, too cute, too 'perfect'.

Hi! What would be your dream SL for Aaron (and of course it can involve Robert, Seb and even Liv if you want)?

I wrote this whole thing about fauxbert going full crazy and "if i can't have you, no-one can" on Aaron... but then i hit a wrong button and everything was gone 😭😭😭

But anyway, that's what I want. Fauxbert turns out to be some con artist who met Robert in prison. And because Robert is incapable of not talking about Aaron, he's told him everything from their first kiss and hook up in the layby and their affair, to him saving Aaron's life and the almost proposal in the woods.

And fauxbert gets out before Rob himself does and finds this Barbara woman who is terminally ill and doesn't have much family. Maybe he worms his way into her life as her nurse or something, and through her he digs into the Sugden family (more). Vic rocking up at the funeral with Eric was just a nice added bonus.

Fast forward to now where Aaron is sooo in love with John (Robert Sugden who??) and maybe they're even talking marriage and babies - but then Rob comes back and recognises fauxbert as his ex cellmate Aiden Moore. He exposes him (or tries to) but everyone thinks he's just jealous.

Meanwhile Aaron is plot stupid and thinks fauxbert is just a really attentive lover and oh isn't it nice that he wants to move to Dublin with him?? For a plot job opportunity! So nice!

And Robert has teamed up with Jai (there's SO MUCH potential in that friendship) to expose fauxbert once and for all.

But it wouldn't be a Robert plan if it didn't backfire somehow, and fauxbert loses it and holds Aaron hostage in his flat/the garage/the pub/ somewhere Important™ to robron, and he's threatening to shoot him if anyone dares to come in.

Swirling is on standby with Hotten PD SWAT but eventually Robert is allowed to go in to "say goodbye" to Aaron. He tries to talk fauxbert into turning himself in and letting Aaron go but the three of them end up fighting over the gun - and we get the classic "gun goes off but we don't know who got shot"

And the obvious answer would be fauxbert - but it's Robert! And Hotten PD SWAT comes in and arrests fauxbert, and Rob gets taken to hospital and it's all Really Serious and they're keeping him in a coma - and Aaron flat out refuses to leave his bedside until he wakes up.

And when he eventually wakes up, we get the classic "loved one sleeping in uncomfortable chair next to hospital bed" and then a tearful reunion kiss and they talk about Everything (Aaron is no longer plot stupid and allowed to react and think like a normal human being) and get back together. And Rob moves in with Aaron because he needs to be nursed back to health.

And then when he's better, they suddenly hear Something Has Happened to Rebecca's plot aunt and Seb is coming home. Only he barely knows either of them and considers Ross his dad. And there is the drama of Ross wanting access to Moses, but Mack stopping him, and Rob and Aaron wanting a life with their son, but Seb himself only wants to spend time with Ross. And eventually Ross talks Seb into giving Rob and Aaron a chance because they love him very much, and robron kind of end up co-parenting with Ross, and in return they talk to Mack and Charity to let Ross see Moses again.

and Wendy takes a long walk off a short cliff and is never seen or heard from again 😉

not on here! I had a star wars blog I'd made back in 2016 which I used to silently observe robron fans from 2017 onwards (I got a post recommended to me from the emmerdale facebook account, of all things, about wedding 1.0 and Robert cheating somehow just made me more invested). at the start of 2019 I made an insta dedicated to robron and started posting robron fanfic cause I finally felt brave enough to join lmao

I really loved Robert’s “Yep. still here.” When Aaron’s walking down the stairs. It’s like Aaron’s sneaking down to get some water, wondering if Roberts stormed off or not. It’s just so.. them. They really are perfect for each other.

Ive been a fan for years, i periodically go back and rewatch the robron storyline clips on youtube but the most recent rewatch is what has really ignited my love for robert bc i watched clips of him on classic emmerdale for the first time
