Class 1A Dynamics (Part 2)
This is going to be consolidated, so I apologize for the long length, but it's going to serve as a conclusion as to why I believe Class 1A's reputation as a found family is undeserved.
In my opinion, the Final Exam arc and Forest Camp arc is when we start to see the cracks in Class 1A's dynamics, as well as their more problematic moments that don't match how they supposedly are as characters. We do get really nice moments of Momo offering her home and services as a tutor to a handful of her classmates (Jirou's interactions with Momo's mom were really cute), but that's it.
Kirishima hears from Bakugou's former middle school friends how they and Bakugou bullied Izuku for his Quirklessness... and promptly ignores it. Mr. Anti Bully hears that the role model he looks up to was/is a bully, and does NOTHING about it. Not even when Bakugou gets them kicked out of whatever place they were studying at and blames IZUKU for it does he do anything other than say, "Lol, classic Bakugou!"
One of the biggest moments, in my opinion, is when Ochako, Ida, Momo, and Tsu (I think it was them? I can't remember) have no objections to Bakugou backhanding Izuku. They hear Recovery Girl saying that they have no communication... and take it at face value. No trying to stand up for him, no saying that Bakugou's the instigator between them, nothing.
(To say nothing how Sero failed the exam for being taken out of the arena unconcious, even though Bakugou passed despite ALSO being unconcious when he was dragged out of the arena 🙄)
The actual camp itself was pretty nice in regard to student interactions. Shouji was worried for both Tokoyami and Izuku (Izuku looked so cute being carried by Shouji 🥹), and Izuku made sure not to place Bakugou's safety over Tokoyami's when Dark Shadow went on its rampage. Tokoyami in turn was perfectly willing to sacrifice his life for Izuku, Shouji, and everyone else's safety. Aoyama risks his life and position as the traitor by clearing a path for Bakugou to get to camp. It was extremely annoying how Todoroki had to keep telling Bakugou not to run towards the villains and not to make the poison gas worse by using his Quirk (collateral damage is a concept Bakugou doesn't give a FUCK about), but I guess that was nice or whatever.
Then came the rescue.
Shouji aknowledges how guilty Izuku and Todoroki must feel about Bakugou's kidnaping, and then Kirishima and Tsu get into an arguement about whether or not to leave the rescue to the adults. I HATE how Kirishima guilted Izuku into joining the rescue. Izuku had broken limbs and a high fever to the point of having seizures. He was unconscious for three days, and for him to be told, "You can still reach him with your arms!" when everyone in class knows Bakugou would (and DID!) refuse Izuku's help is disgusting. In theory, it's nice how they take Bakugou's ego and feelings into account when they decide a small team is going to rescue him (I'll have more to say on that later). But then, Ida tries convincing Izuku not to go... by punching his sick and injured friend hard in the face. Ida, what the FUCK? Did he ever apologize for doing that?
And then not only does Bakugou not ever thank Momo, Ida, Todoroki, Kirishima, and Izuku for rescuing him and risking their place at UA, Aizawa then acts as though the class needs to regain his trust (even though they had no idea the rescue team went through with their plan) when it really should be the other way around. Great father figure he is, right?
So they move to the dorms, and we get a really nice moment where Tsu tearfully apologizes for saying that the rescue team were acting villanous in saving Bakugou. This is all well and good, but then we get to the Licensing Exam. As awesome as it was to see Ida helping Aoyama secure a place in the final round, as awesome as it was seeing everyone defer to Izuku's judgment, it all was completely undone by the bullshit house arrest.
I've gone on and on about how it's my least favorite part of the entire story, but seeing 1A not aknowledge Bakugou's bullying of Izuku yet again really soured my opinion on them. Ida especially gets the brunt of my criticism here, because as one of Izuku's best friend, he should have figured that Izuku not only didn't want to break curfew, he's NEVER looked for a fight when it came to Bakugou. And then when Izuku apologizes (barf) for defending himself, they all accept it like he did something wrong.
I HATE it, and for a while, I hated 1A because of it.
Then we get some smaller moments between that and the stupid Dark Izuku arc that are pretty nice. They express worry and relief for those involved in Eri's rescue, Izuku encourages Jirou to not be afraid to express herself musically, and Mina teaches Aoyama how to dance before the School Festival. Everyone criticizes Izuku for running around and trying to get candy apple ingredients for Eri, and they make fun of him for getting in trouble after the Gentle Criminal fight, blah blah blah. No one cheers for him or encourages him during his mock interview with Mt. Lady, but whatever.
Then Izuku leaves UA.
Not ONCE do ANY of Class 1A consider why he left, even though he literally tells them in the goddamn letters he left for them. Not once do they call out Bakugou for being the actual reason he has such low self-esteem and self sacrifical tendancies. Not once do they consider having just his closest friends find him and bring him back. After all, most of them admit they don't really know Izuku on a personal level. They don't even stand up for Momo when he jumps down her throat for not calling him by his stupid hero name.
Nope, they all decide to just bumrush him and let Bakugou lead the charge.
They let Bakugou make fun of him, project his own flaws onto him, and not once aknowledge that Izuku is neither in the physical condition nor mental condition to be hearing any of that. They then quite literally beat him into submission. Sure, some of the classmates try saying nice things to him about how he helped all of them (Dark Shadow was so gentle with Izuku 🥺), but Sato tries guilt tripping him about Eri, which is just gross.
Then comes the infamous Youtube Apology, where Bakugou talks about Izuku's Quirklessness and how that made him lesser than Bakugou in his eyes. No one reacts to any of this, and instead of just letting Izuku sleep or getting him to the fucking doctor, they throw him in a bath like that'll fix anything. We do get an awesome moment where Tokoyami and Sato call out Bakugou for bullying Izuku again despite supposedly apologizing, but that's chump change, considering what all they put Izuku through.
And then comes the traitor reveal.
I don't blame 1A for being angry at Aoyama, considering how his actions put everyone in danger, but I think it's so strange due to two things. One, Aoyama was clearly coerced into being a traitor. His parents were the ones who made the deal with AFO, and Aoyama was obviously remorseful for his actions. Two, just look at Bakugou. He was the one who not only ran towards the villains in the first place, but everyone had to keep him from making everything worse when they were trying to protect him.
And yet who's the one that gets treated with consideration and kid gloves?
Bakugou.
I can't say anything about the Final War, because everything is so fucking messy, but I guess I will say how nice it is that the class protects the girls from Mineta's sexual harrassment and don't take it laying down.
To close off, Hori did a piss poor job in showing organic development of 1A as supposed super close friends and found family. They all deserved better than what they wound up becoming, and it's just really sad all around.

There are so many interesting aspects of MHA worldbuilding/academia that we never got to see, and it pains me.
For a world that doesn't allow people to use their Quirks in public areas, how do 1A (bar Izuku, Kaminari, and Aoyama) have such control over their Quirks? Are there gyms or training facilities they can go to in order to train their Quirks? I'm assuming Yaoyorozu and Ida got some form of private training, given their wealth, and Todoroki had been trained by Endeavor from age 4/5.
How exactly do the work studies even function? They're optional and located all across Japan, so how do they make up the absences? How do they keep up with their schoolwork? Does UA pay for lodging? Why are the lowest ranked students in class even allowed to go on a work study if their grades are so bad? How has Oboro dying and the Shie Hassaikai raid not given UA even more bad press, considering that Sir Nighteye was killed and many UA students were injured? Nedzu mentioned "restarting" the work studies, so I assume maybe Oboro's death caused UA to pause them?
We also see in universe that the teachers disagree with Nedzu/the establishment on how UA should be run. Snipe didn't want the Sports Festival being held so soon after the USJ Attack. Present Mic was rightfully upset that his traitor theory was being shot down (wonder how they all felt when they found out he was right). All Might didn't like the first years being on work studies to begin with. Later on, Snipe, Cementoss, and Vlad King didn't want the work studies being made mandatory (though that last one was due to the HPSC).
It's funny you say this because I was actually somewhat thinking about this topic.
One thing that always nagged at me was that Yaoyorozu and Todoroki were really the only 1A students who were exemplary (I'm excluding Bakugou here for a second). It's supposed to be the best hero school in the world, yet it's only the two of them who actually show that off (with their quirk control, Yaoyorozu with her intelligence, and Todoroki with his raw strength). They should have been the expectation, not the exception.
Don't get me wrong, other 1A students like Kirishima and Tokoyami are good with their quirks, but not to the level that those two were at the beginning. To get into the greatest hero school in the world, you would expect more exceptional students. Even looking at a wider scope, the only other examples we can point to are the Big Three (and maybe Kendo but we don't see much of her skills beyond her fight with Yaoyorozu).
It would have been way more impactful for Izuku and Bakugou to get there and see how far behind they were (mostly Bakugou as Izuku already experienced this somewhat). Bakugou being the second best right of the bat makes no sense when Todoroki, Yaoyorozu, and Iida have (presumably) has the best training and tutoring possible (I will never stop being salty about Bakugou beating out Todoroki in class ranking, in what world does that even make sense). If this was going to be the best hero school in the world, there should have been students who have pushed themselves to the limits their entire life. Bakugou getting there and seeing that he wasn't any more special than everyone else would have been way more impactful. They both should have spent more time playing catch up.
But I'm rambling. UA in and of itself is just messy and the story just doesn't go into depth past surface level in any aspect. The only time Horikoshi starts to do this is with Lady Nagant, but even then a lot of society and its impact on her is left in the air

I never liked the Traitor twist. If I were given a chance to rewrite it, here's how I would've done it.
Instead of a traitor, it would instead be a person with a quirk to travel as a shadow, that would explain how they would be able to get the information for the USJ and the Training Camp. and Izuku could even have a bit of a meetup with them who blackmails him into keeping quiet about who they are or else they'll reveal he's the reason All Might retired.
They're a spy for hire, charging a hefty price to spill/keep secrets to villains. As being in the shadows can help with learning various things about people, no matter how big or small.
And to top it all off... they were previously a student of Aizawa's class that was expelled for "not having enough potential" Thus they couldn't face their family and ran away from home, becoming a villain.
This would show the effects of Aizawa's expulsion and how it's not as clear cut as he thinks it is, that it actually has negative consequences and where his students might end up. This would make Aizawa think twice and realize that his expulsions did more harm than good and now it's come back to hit him with the cold reality.
Hi @theloganator101 👋,
That is an excellent rewrite of the Traitor twist because how Hori wrote it in canon it just doesn't make sense.
1) Yuuga should have been caught way before now. He doesn't have invisibility to conceivably sneak around the way that Toru does. And UA should have security cameras.
2) He is one of the bottom students of the class. An argument could be made that he was hiding some of his skill set but Hori doesn't set that up (unlike that moment in the sports festival when he did for Kaminari) beyond occaisional fourth wall breaks.
3) What even is Aoyama doing as traitor? I've seen @justatalkingface talk about how they would have utilised the traitor plot and it is so scary and narrative breaking how AFO could have used this effectively yet he just didn't... For some reason. (A DFO argument could be made here, yet even if this theory turns out being true, AFO has no reason not to go after All Might, the rest of the staff and students properly.)
4) How is he getting Info to AFO directly without the staff / students with hearing quirks finding out? This just is a plot hole. Perhaps Yuuga didn't call, perhaps he passed on coded messages to his parents, perhaps... Nothing. This is giving Hori too much credit. You can't tell me Nedzu didn't monitor communications of everyone when they were in the dorms via the schools wifi / network. Nedzu should think something is suss especially if a student is talking with their parents in code.
5) The parallels with Izu are perhaps the only positive thing about this. But even that is utilised poorly. Izuku isn't allowed to reflect on his own past once when this Aoyama situation should have opened a lot of old wounds for him. Izuku wasn't allowed to think of the grey area of this situation once he brushed off Mic's concerns that they were all victims here along with Toru and Ojiro's hurt to tell Aoyama "you can still be a hero." While this is nice for Yuuga (since he was a traitor by force) it brushes off everyone elses feelings on the matter. Izuku has become more and more black and white as a character (and in his views) and this starkly highlights it.
Furthermore, your version where a villainous ex-student of Aizawa's with a shadow quirk is the cause of the traitor suspicions is much more interesting and plausible.
It would make more sense for them to be able to sneak around undetected.
It confronts Aizawa with the devastating impact of his teaching without any narrative cushioning.
It encourage Aizawa to grow as a teacher or quit after getting 1A through their first year.
This would tie the class closer together rather than tearing them apart and pitting members against each other (which is why I dislike the Izuku vs 1A fight along with how this Traitor arc was handled.)
It makes Nedzu look like less of a moron in general for the disbelief of Mic suggesting there is a traitor because he wouldn't be able to see any evidence of one in the cameras or student communications.

9, 20, 25
9. worst part of canon
This thread is old af but really spells out some criticisms I have or had. Of course I don't fully agree on the villains' roles as heroic these whatsoever (I more see the villains' as self-fulfilling tragedy actually), but I still want to say I feel the Overhaul arc was a series low (I might be wrong if one of my crack theories comes true), and that Izuku's reactiveness and lack of proactiveness and just lack of reflection is one of the things I get disappointed on most. (Also the replies by waxwingedhawks are mine, just to clarify)
20. part of canon you found tedious or boring
I've never been big into most tournament sequences. Class 1A vs 1B was boring-ish for me.
25. common fandom complaint that you're sick of hearing
"Hawks is badly written! Has no arc or development!" Actually this goes with most criticism around the Todos, and the Villains. Just because the story isn't being written to your exact liking doesn't mean it's bad - just that it's not for you.
Also wanna put in that i hate the following takes: hawks is an innocent baby girl sweetie pie that did nothing wrong and was forced to do it all and he had to kill twice because jin was evilz AND hawks is an irredeemable monster class traitor and boring because he didn't tell Enji to fuck off and ran off to be with dabi or some shit Both takes are bad. Leave my insane morally confused child soldier alone if you can't appreciate the tragicomedy of it all.

What will happen to Yuga Aoyama aka Can't Stop Twinkling after the war and endgame its over? This had kinda been bothering me since the reveal of him being the UA traitor, and even got more worried after we havent seen him since his encounter with the plant quirk AFO assassin after he betrayed him.
Even if Aizawa said he won't expell him, he also said that he might not have a home in U.A. anymore after the war. Even if he is making up for what he did, that doesnt change what he had done, and who knows what they'll do to him when the law system is fixed ( even if there is doubt the safety comission will rise again and especially if someone, a escaped villian, a surviving ex employee, or maybe as a favor to Lady Nagant, reveal bits of the dark secrets of what they did mixed with distrust from the public) like getting juvenile, comunity service, or house arrest.
And there is also another big possbility upon us, as big as the inevitable fate of Dabi 😭🔥 who i really hope finds peace and redemption with his family before that fate. I don't remember where but think it was when Class 1A got a war declaration from the rest of the school or during the Class A vs Class B arc, Someone said that if someone transfers to the Hero course, someone will have to leave in order to have a free spot for that person. And Shinsou will transfer when the war and school suspension are over and the second year can finally begin, so there may be a chance that someone from either Class A or B will have to leave for him to be in. We had many candidates for that, Bakugo and Izuku were too but one will likely re enroll and the other has a chance to be revived which the writers are really taking their time for that, and in fanfics the one who was number one n being replace by Shinsou was Mineta.
But with Aoyama beng a traitor and him havng the chance of not longer being welcomed in UA, he is the most probably to being replaced by Shinsou. And this will remain a high possibility unless we get another unexpected surprise from the manga creator like Bakugo being revived by Edgeshot. Honestly speaking we dont want any of class 1A to go since we love them all, but with Midnight's and Twice's deaths, we know better than to have our hopes up and expect to say goodbye to more beloved characters.
I had some ideas when thinking about it, one was that he and Shinsou will exchange places n Hero and General Studies courses. And even if they allow Yuga to remain the hero course, they could either transfer to another school in Japan like Shiketsu or transfer him overseas. All thats its up to the future, until then we have our theories and imagination.
What you think will happen to our Sparkling boy?

KIRISHIMA IS THE TRAITOR
My sister hates me for this theory, but before you hate me too, hear me out, yeah? Kirishima is the traitor and I will die. On. this. Hill. Don’t get me wrong, I totally love the guy, he’s my second favorite character (first is Iida, love you bae) but through all the options, he makes the most sense, and here’s why:
(also spoilers ahead if you’re not caught up)
Bakugo
Now whether you ship Kiribaku or not, it is established that they have a very close relationship (romantic or platonic). Now when Bakugo was kidnapped by the League of Villains, Kirishima was one of the people to save him. This could be used as a counterpoint to my argument, HOWEVER, who’s to say you haven’t already fallen into his trap? Thinking what every other character thinks? It would only make sense that he would want to:
A- Stay close to the investigation to know how much his peers know, or to perhaps lead them in a certain direction.
B- Prove his innocence by playing a true hero
Also, during the rescue, Kirishima brought goggles and was the one to use them. Sure, this could be played off as plot convenience but I don’t believe that our master Horikoshi would be so lazy. Maybe Kirishima was playing guard, sure, but for which team? It could have been a signal that he gave to one of the villains to let them know they were there. I would say they were relatively compared to fight when the kids came.
It is also worth noting that while Midoriya was discussing his plan with Kiri, he said that he and Bakugo have had a close relationship ever since the year began. It would make sense that Deku and Kacchan would have a close relationship, as they grew up together, but Kirishima wouldn’t have known Bakugo. This sparky little bastard isn’t one to attract friends, especially people as sensitive as Kirishima, right? So why did he stay so close for so long? Why would Kirishima go through so much fighting to be his friend? What is in it for him? Perhaps, it was his mission. Get close to Bakugo, the powerful boy with emotional issues, and make him join our team. It all makes perfect sense! Horikoshi is the type of writer to give reason to every single action, and this is Kirishima’s deeper motivation.
TetsuTetsu
The comedic similarities between Kirishima and Tetsu is a recurring joke, but have you ever stopped to wonder why they’re so similar? Perhaps, Kirishima is using Tetsu as an example for what to act like, studying him to know how to fit in. Meryl Streep studied with classical musicians and even learned how to play the violin for her role in Music of the Heart. An actor follows who they want to imitate to learn how they react in situations. Sure, it could just be played off as comedy, but if we think he’s putting up an act, it would only make sense that there would be someone exactly like him, someone who he’s trying to be.
His Backstory:
One of my sister’s arguments is that he couldn’t possibly be the traitor because he has his own backstory. He has reason to be a hero, he imitates Crimson Riot, and his backstory is one of the first ones to get shared. However, the placement of his backstory seems incredibly convenient to me. After we learn that there is a traitor, we’d start to watch the people we want to be the most. Like characters that don’t get a lot of screen time or characters that we hate (cough cough, M*neta). But we know Horikoshi lives for the dramatics, it would only make sense that he would do as much as he could do to make the plot twist even sharper, such as giving Kirishima a backstory that seems to eliminate the possibility of him being the traitor right after the traitor was announced to exist.
Again with his backstory, it was pretty generic. I wasn’t there for someone when they needed me and now I swear to work as hard as I can to never let anyone down again. Every other member of Class 1-A had wanted to be a hero since the very beginning of their life, Kirishima had no interest until he saw Mina, so how was he so caught up in the training? Even if he’s twice as dedicated as anyone else, it wouldn’t make up for his lost physical training. The only other person that I can think of who didn’t have their whole life to prepare themself is Deku, who was trained by the World’s Best Hero, Allmight. It just wouldn’t make sense that he would not only get into the school but earn place 7 after the test?
Also, speaking of tests, his midterm came in 15th, how would he have dropped 8 places unless there was suddenly something else preoccupying his mind and time, such as a secret mission with Mr-20-hands.
Also with his backstory, we see him completely change himself. Now I love the headcanon that he is trans, I wholeheartedly believe in it for sure. But what if there was something else? What if Kirishima had to look different to avoid getting recognized. Dye his hair crazy red, Change his personality, his demeanor, completely change himself to avoid looking at all like old Kirishima, openly villain Kirishima. His whole look is altered after Crimson Riot, his personality after TetsuTetsu, both of which share his same quirk; which part of Kirishima is strictly Kirishima?
TO SUM UP:
Out of all the kiddos in class 1-A, Eijirou Kirishima is the one most likely to be the traitor. Not only would it be fantastic for Horikoshi’s narrative, but it would be great for the character’s motivations and feels too. It would give Kirishima a reason for everything he’s done in the series so far. It would give Bakugo not only more drive to be the world’s #1 hero, but to give him an emotional reason that holds him back from being a hero at all. It would give reason to Kirishima’s constant presence and lack of individuality. It clearly makes the best sense that Eijiuro Kirishima is the Class 1-A Traitor.

I wonder why does everyone want someone from 1A to be a traitor? Like isn't the mental strain on the students enough?
Also about the Hagakure traitor theory –
Why is she a possible traitor? Cuz her invisibility quirk allows her to do "bad things" without getting caught. Does it reminds you of something?
If you caught it, I'm referring to how Shinso was treated in middle school.
I love how Horikoshi shows exactly how people are. The fandom is doing to Hagakure what the middle schoolers did to Shinso.

Who discovers the UA traitor?
It would be amazing if Monoma finds out who the traitor is (or concludes bc he is pretty intelligent). Is someone from the 1A class, so he decides to warn them about this person. But once he tells them, everybody is like "Monoma is being annoying and jealous again, just ignore him". He tries to tell his fellow classmates from 1B and they also decide to ignore him. Then something happens that makes them realize he was right and shit gets really bad.
Tell me who would you like to discover the UA traitor

TetsuTetsu Traitor Theory!
So I wanted to make my first little contribution to the fandom with a little traitor theory. So here's what I was thinking so far:
TetsuTetsu is exactly like Kirishima.
Think about it, from what we know the two of them:
Have the same birthday.
Have the same personality.
Have practically the same quirk.
Bonus: both have shark teeth.
Tumblr media
Kirishima himself said how alike they were in the sports festival arc, how their quirk and intros were the same. That's gotta mean something, right.
Tumblr media
So what if TetsuTetsu is a clone created by the league, like a nomu type thing but so much smarter, to spy on UA. Of course they had to make slight differences to the clone, so that's why they're not exactly alike but still so similar.
Since they couldn't place someone exactly like Kirishima into 1-A, they would have to place him in 1-B. I've never seen anyone suspect someone from Class 1-B to be the traitor, always A or teachers. Class 1-B is still part of the hero course so could have just as much information as 1-A does.
So that's why I think TetsuTetsu TetsuTetsu is the traitor. As much as I love him, nobody suspects anything. That's what the league is going for, after all.

Interesting fanfic concepts that I may or may not write (not sure yet):
EDIT: crossed out the ones that I already wrote!
- During the 1st light novel, Black Whip manifests due to the belief that Inko is genuinely in danger
- 1A not trusting Aizawa outside of life/death situations, leading to the other teachers calling him out on this
- A sub idea to the above: the other teachers and students noticing how Izuku is singled out by Aizawa, and Aizawa gets called out on this
- At the UA Apology Tour conference, the journalist pushes back on Aizawa's claim that Bakugou's hard work absolves him of his behavior - pointing out that he got no rescue points during the Entrance Exam (someone leaks it to the media, idk) and that Aizawa has expelled other students for much less, leading to the students coming to the press conference to call him out
- A sub idea to the above: the media points out Fumikage's attempted kidnapping (realistically he would have told the police) and Izuku being on the LOV's priority kill list, as well as his kidnapping and attack in the mall just days before
- ANOTHER sub idea: the media calls out UA for prioritizing their ego/face over the students' safety in holding the Sports Festival so soon after the USJ attack, since the Sports Festival led to the attack on the forest
- Being at home at least meant Izuku had some time away from Bakugou and Aizawa. Being in the dorms takes that freedom away, and Izuku isn't adjusting well
- Aizawa finds out about Izuku accidentally destroying his room in his sleep. His past treatment of Izuku leads the boy to be less than forthcoming about what caused it
- The OFA vestiges are quite protective of Izuku and show it in their own ways
- Class 1A (especially certain members) noticed that they've been put on the backburner for Shinsou, and so have the other teachers
- All Might and King Vlad take Midnight and Aizawa to task for not interfering sooner when Black Whip manifested during the training exercise (or the Black Whip fiasco leads to some completely preventable injuries)
- After Izuku leaves UA, the teachers and Class 1A reflect on how he's been treated by everyone around him while shouldering the burdens he's been carrying
- A sub idea to the above: the Class 1A vs Izuku fight results in Izuku calling them out on following Bakugou and ignoring his reasoning for leaving, resulting in him running away and succumbing to his injuries (featuring the vestiges, the second one in particular)
- A sub sub idea to the above: Class 1A and the teachers finally have an actual talk with Izuku about his issues when he's brought back to UA and put under Recovery Girl's care (because there's no way in hell Izuku was fine after just a bath and a nap)
- UA's traitor reacts earlier, leading the staff to realize that they shouldn't have dismissed Present Mic's traitor theory
- Present Mic reflects on Aizawa's treatment of him, his students, and how Oboro's death turned them both into different people
- Izuku is allowed to be resentful of how people tear him down and dismiss him (namely, how Bakugou received over 3,000 offers despite his behavior while Izuku received only 1, Izuku being the Problem Child despite not even being the mastermind behind Bakugou's rescue, and that his mumbling is dismissed/made fun of)

Hey I wanna do a lil experiment rb with your favorite ua traitor theory and why (there are no wrong answers so please don’t start any fights if you disagree with someone)
Mine’s traitor monoma (which I think I just came up with but please tell me if it’s already a thing) because he keeps bragging to 1a that they should be the better class and him being a traitor and taunting the heroes all the time seems like such a villain thing

When they reveal who the traitor is and if they are a student I want it to be unexpected and a big shocker. I want the episode to start off with one of the kids overhearing the teachers discussing the leak and that is when chaos breaks out, all the kids begin pointing fingers and starting their own investigation but the episode all for giggles. Mina, Sero, and Kaminari are the main ones making all sorts of conspiracies and poking fun at fan theories
"The traitor is Uruaka!"
"What?! Why me?!"
"You are poor! Desperate! You need money and villains are all about the corrupt society leaving the poor behind!"
"I literally became a hero to get money"
Then they go onto Shoji, his quirk can help him.gather information and his room is nearly empty! He can make a quick get away and leave no evidence
Hagakure! She is invisible she can sneak out and meet with villains and no one would ever know plus she didn't know about the Bakugou rescue mission
Kirishima! Gets chummy with everyone and fools them into liking him only to betray them, the rescue was all staged meant to draw out All Might and kill him
Jirou! Eavesdropping would be no problem from her, and she also didn't know about the Bakugou rescue
It isn't long until they have theories for everyone including members of class 1-B. (Any Shinsou which Midoriya gets after them for) At one point all the kids realize. No there is one person no one would suspect. Midoriya! After all he is suspicious, the villains always seem to spare his life and he is close to All Might! Not to mention he is always taking notes on his classmates, he could be the reason the villains know so much about all of them! In am instant everyone turns against Midoriya who tries desperately to prove his innocence. He can't show his phone because it was conventionally broken during the training camp, he can't tell them why he is close to All Might, or why he takes so many notes on his friends
By the end of the episode Aizawa finds out the kids overheard and manages to calm everyone down by lying and saying they have a lead on the teachers. Everyone apologized to each other and they all head to their dorms wishing each other good night.
Then when everything is silent and everyone has gone to bed a student comes out. They sneak out and meet with the villains in the dead of night
"That was a close call, you played along"
"If I didn't they'd get suspicious"
"Yes but there is still the threat of them knowing there is a traitor, the students may be fooled but the teachers will not"
And that's the end of the episode leaving the viewer with the knowledge of the traitor and screaming because no one else knows

BNHA Chapter 337 "Never Underestimate KatsuDeku"
Tumblr media
3 years ago me: "TRAITOR REVEAL OMG END OF WORLD" Current me: OMG One Single Panel of Touya YEEES let's obsess over it. LOL what has happened to me.
Tumblr media
Oh also current me: ONE SINGLE PANEL OF SHIGARAKI my heart OMG (I have changed)
Tumblr media
HAGAKURE FACE AND LIGHT REVEAL. Also this chapter has some Aoyama/Tooru shippy vibes NGL. Also I wonder if that Tooru=Hana theory is still on the table?
Tumblr media
OMG ALL MIGHT'S SAD FACE NOOOO
Tumblr media
CLASS 1A! Kaminari gets to react to the Traitor now. "See guys It wasn't me!" Jirou: "Yeah dude we know but pick your time" URaraka looks so devastated
OH. MY. GOD.
Tumblr media
Kacchan you said what we're all thinking. I CAN'T BELIEVE HE CAME OUT AND SAID IT OMG. And he's right there next to Deku and making the connection for him and probably staring into his soul because he can. JUST SHRED ALL OUR HEARTS BAKUGOU W HY DON'T YOU.
Tumblr media
OMG GOOD POINT DEKU! Wow that plot seed was planted forever ago that's some interesting plotting there Hori
OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD WHAT I DID NOT FREAKING EXPECT THIS WHAT
Tumblr media
OK so I kind of expected Deku to try and reason with Aoyama here and tell him what All Might told him, but what I did NOT expect was that Bakugou might figure out what Deku's really up to. oh. my. god. Kacchan I should learn to NEVER underestimate how well you know Deku and how much insight you have into him, because YOU JUST HIT HTE NAIL ON THE FREAKING HEAD. And his face isn't what I expected once he figured this out. OMG Kacchan you know what Deku's up to are you gonna back him up? Fight him on it? What magical Wonder Duo drama awaits us in the next chapter?! HOW MUCH MORE OF MY HEART DO YOU WANT.

When did this happen!?
Tumblr media
Well, she was the part of speculation a for quite a long time. In CBR articles, bnha meta posts, traitor theories etc etc she was always brought up.
Some points that add up:
Her location was unknown during USJ. She said she was in the landslide zone but Todoroki never saw her.
She is the one to suggest the class to go to the mall where Deku met Shigaraki.
Even during the Forest attack her whereabouts were quite unspecific? She was said that she got injured along with Jiro but that could always be a fake mask to cover her actual plan.
One more scene that came to mind was when she asked Ochako after the Shie Hasaikai raid.
Toru was kind of quick to notice Ochako's mood change and in general also Toru is portrayed to be very curious and lively through her voice and actions but we have never really seen her.
If wouldn't have even noticed that by her expressions cause she is well, invisible. Or is Invisibility even her real quirk? She can bend light and that's one thing for sure.
It was brought up in the Pro Hero Exam, JTA and even after Christmas work studies when she showcased her combo move with Ayoyama.
Tumblr media
Speaking of which it feels like Ayoyama is definitely connected to the traitor in one way or another. He had that wierd creepy cheeze arc going on with Deku with him trying to tell Deku something.
In French it says "still water runs deep" aka more than meets the eye.
Tumblr media
The funny thing is that Toru never met our eyes until now cause well...ya know.
Also remember that painting Horikoshi had for the exhibition!
Toru was also the part of Momo and co in the war arc and they just barely managed to fulfill their jobs.
Hagakure in Japanese also means someone willing to die for their master. (Not sure about this but there was some sort of book regarding it)
So, it's not like it came out of nowhere.
Infact, I feel like it will be great to see a storyline that has been building up from the very beginning to be brought into full execution and see the reactions of our remaining class 1A that has developed by a mile in the recent chapters as they deal with the betrayal by one of their own.
It kind of makes sense now, why class 1A was being attacked again and again and again! Goodbye Uraraka, Kaminari, Nezu traitor theories!

BNHA AU Concept: Transmigrator
Midoriya Izuku, a normal - if rather sickly - japanese boy of 15 years old passes away just after finishing the final volume of Plus Ultra! a gritty, pre then post-apocalyptic manga about superheroes staring class 1A as their society crumbled around them following the death of the Symbol of Peace.
The whole thing was pretty bleak, with members of the class dying off pretty regularly until only 12 remained, teamed up with other heroes trying to defeat the big villain, All for One. The ending was a downer though - the heroes were all slain and it was left ambiguous at to if All for One survived that last strike or not.
Then he wakes up in the body of Midoriya Izuku, the background character with whom he, unfortunately, shared a name, right before he was killed by the sludge villain, kick-starting Bakugo Katsuki's whole tragic backstory. Not wanting to be the first person to die twice in one day, he holds on until he's saved by All Might (whom he fanboy's hopelessly about), ends up saving Bakugo Katsuki from the same villain, and getting offer All Might quirk - confirming one of the biggest fan theories of the series!
Well. Looks like he's got a chance to save some of his favourite characters and stop this whole world from ending - pretty lucky his first life gave him a great pain tolerance and total disregard for his own life, huh?

Addams family Aizawa or adams family class 1A au
I love the idea of an Aizawa thats just a little,,, off. His smile too wide, his teeth too straight and square, his eyes never reacting to light, always a little brighter than the ambient light should allow for.
He tends to be given the powerful students, but this year he got something better: the weird ones. The ones like him, touched by something beyond the veil. A boy that sees too much, another with a living shadow, one part machine - unclear where student ends and metal begins, a girl with space in her eyes and gravity at her finger tips -
Just like him. His students.

desperately need a fanfic where aoyama finds out izuku used to be quirkless and panics about the poor boy being in debt to all for one
,,, AU where Aoyoma does the normal thing of googling people he’s just met on line and finds Izuku recorded in a news article from 10 months ago, listed as a ‘Quirkless Middle School Student’ and starts desperately trying to work out if he and Izuku are in the same boat, with increasing worry as more and more quirks appear

BNHA AU Concept
Silly BNHA AU where Izuku is two years younger than the main cast and this ruins the whole plot.
To start, Bakugo is fiercely protective of Izuku - he’s quirkless, tiny and sweet and, thankfully for Bakugo’s inferiority complex, not someone hes compaired to being a full 2 years older than the kid. There is no childhood ‘betrayal’, just Bakugo stubbornly making sure Izuku thinks he’s the worlds coolest person.
The slime villain happens without Izuku and All Might’s conversation before hand. He hears Bakugo call Izuku a quirkless dumbass while Izuku sobs and hugs him and All Might has a “aww, sweet!” moment. He files it away.
He ends up teaching Bakugo at UA, mentions the kid who saved him. “Oh yeah, Deku? He’s like 12 and a nightmare. Self preservation of a lemming.” Izuku then proves him right by getting kidnapped by Shigaraki durring the press break in - Izuku had a day off school and wanted to see UA so he walked with Bakugo - and then, when Shigaraki tries to threatern UA with the death of a child, Izuku fucking bites Shigaraki’s finger off and jumps out the window.
His childhood hero was Bakugo. It rubbed off on him a little.
All Might is like “hmm. i think i will have a heart attack now” but ends up giving Izuku his quirk because hes so stupudly heroic there is nothing else he can do. Bakugo is in on it and he visits UA on saturdays to train with All Might. Aizawa is convinced he’s All Might’s bastard child, as is Todoroki. They, somehow, bond over this.

An au where stain is just someone hired by the hero commission to kill heroes who speak out against the hero commission and killing false hero’s is just a cover story
Wait this slaps, I love it. Is Stain an agent, just acting out his cover story? Is he an actual villain the commission hired to do this - do they have leverage over him or is more dead heroes exactly what he wants? Or is he the HPSC's own version of a nomu, constructed for covert assasinations, mindlessly following orders?
I really do like the idea that he was a villain they hired who disliked heroes anyway. Stain thinks he's going to betray the HPSC when they run out of targets to give him, but they already know of Stain's plans and are one step ahead of him.
oooohh!! Imagine they stage a prison break for him after he's captured by Izuku and co, and they tell him to 'do away with the kid'. Stain flips because 'dude what the fuck hes like 15, you dont pay me to kill kids' and the HPSC is like 'ah. is see we have reached an impass' and he has to rip off the armoured collar they gave him because its started to heat up ever so slightly. he throws it to the ground where it pops with a deceptively small explosion, right where his jugular vein would have been.
He then runs to UA in a half-blind panic to do the only thing he can think of - warn the kid. He's already a dead man walking if the HPSC want his head, but that poor kid has a life ahead of him. Nezu, who does not trust the commission as far as he could throw the whole building that housed them, decides to listen before letting All Might punch him into the sun, and is quickly horrified by how everything lines up.
Queue an arc where Stain is pretending to be a sidekick and teachers aid at UA for cover while they try to work out how to keep Izuku safe, all while Izuku is the only student who is like ",,,am I losing my mind or is our new teacher's aid the hero killer???"
