I spent a lovely day on Saturday supporting the 'Learn to Knit a Curlew Hat' at The Sill. Using beautiful wool from Jamieson & Smith and a pattern designed for the RSPB, the group developed new skills to deepen their knitting progress. So excited to see the final outcomes - beautiful colours chosen. We spent the day sharing skills, learning about the Curlew and having a good natter! Been working on this hat on and off for the last few days, in between things when i have just a moment to spare for a just a row or two, where I dont have to worry about losing my stitch count or my place in the pattern. And it's amazing how those small moments add up over time. The hat is over halfway done. I absolutely love love love this yarn. I made a bolero with it a couple of years ago and I've had 12 skeins of it stashed away ever since, saved up for "just the right project." Used a couple to put a lovely border on a friends baby blanket earlier this year. Trying out one of my simple cat hats with it now. I love watching the color transition as I work. ... although, I do wish the color scheme had been arranged better. Purple to yellow is not a pretty transition. . Picked up these textured Addi rocket square needles yesterday (because yes, I actually needed another pair of 3.75mm needles!), and so far so good. They are supposed to be more ergonomic; I haven’t knit enough with them yet to feel a difference, I think.

Finished my first twist front headband. I’m super happy with how it turned out. Thanks @_claudetta_ for the great instructional video on @youtube. The project was super easy and a great intro to doing a simple cable twist. I used @lionbrandyarn Thick&Quick acrylic yarn.
