i see people saying that wc has run so long and has so many books that it's started to feel repetitive and exhausting which. yeah absolutely. but that's partially just bc the writers/editors seem to have no idea how to write an arc without some giant overarching threat and a dramatic battle.

i feel like if we just focused more on interpersonal struggles and also natural disasters or mass extinction events it'd be soooo so much interesting. the new books seem to be leaning more into this but i need MOREEE. gimme an arc that's about a background character dealing with the insane trauma of having lived through the past three arcs i beg

I am okay with people making brackets inspired by it, but I do believe there is already a Ranboo duo bracket running at @strifetxt! Not that that should necessarily stop you, but just so you know.

i remember when reading shadow i was actually getting a bit excited not cause any of the actual plot threads but like. everyone (the cats) kept comparing tigerstar 2 to tigerstar 1 and calling him a repeat of tiger 1 and contextualizing all his actions as though he were doing the same thing as tiger 1. and i was like "WAIT OHHH I'M PICKIN UP WHAT YOU'RE PUTTING DOWN"

i was so certain tiger 2 and nightheart were going to have a conversation bc of the very obvious parallels of tiger 2's struggles with his namesake and nightheart's struggles with his namesake, and i was sitting there like "holy shit that's actually a genius move"

...and then it was never brought up. not even glanced at
