It doesn’t matter how much time has passed or how many books I read: —Elvis’ death always feels so personal, so present and shocking.

It’s a funny thing, mourning someone over and over despite how very present and larger than life they still feel today.

I wish he’d had more time…but more than that, I wish more has been done to respect his death and struggle, instead of turning it into a running joke that still hasn’t died.

In my opinion after reading Lisa’s book and how Priscilla just barged in on Lisa’s book press tour uninvited she does not deserve to be buried there

literally!! i don’t get why she’d be buried there anyways just cause she’s lisas mom doesn’t give her a free pass to be buried there. like ok more ppl should have a say anyways because its elvis’ house at the end of the day and his side (whoever’s left) should also be able to communicate their views. she doesn’t deserve to be there, she deserves to be buried amongst the common folk because at the end of the day that’s what she is. no amount of posturing as elvis’ widow can make me see her as anything but a regular girl who would have had a 9-5 job if it wasn’t for elvis.

I just finished Elvis and Me by Priscilla Beaulieu Presley and oml it is so good! Highly recommend to any of the elvis girlies. Also I suggest the audio book becuase you can her it from Cillas voice and it's just so amazingly emotional. The last few chapters made me cry sm 🤧. I love how she shows the good the bad and the ugly but makes it clear that this book is to show what a great person he was and how much she loved him.
