Reader wasn't a part of the main cast, so she didn't have to do any stunts for the show. She played a popular side character that fans ate up and loved because she was cute and funny. Typically that wouldn't be the case since she didn't need the training for the show, but ever since she showed up for training on accident, she's been accompanying Mary and Peyton for it ever since.

It didn't hurt having an extra person to practice stunts with either. Reader especially liked working with Mary, helping her practice her fight scenes. It was so fun and exciting.

One particular day saw them practicing a fight scene that Mary had with Peyton, but she had a scheduling conflict that prevented her from practicing. So Mary did the sensible thing and called Reader to help. They had the room in the gym to themselves, allowing them all the space to use, which was a good thing since Mary was a little clumsy and needed all the space they could get.

The only trouble was that Reader didn't know Peyton's stunts. She was mostly like a moving target for Mary to get her jabs in, which was alright. It helped Mary get the moves down and stumble less. Reader mostly blocked the "attacks" with a small smile on her face. It wasn't perfect but it would work for the time being.

That was until Mary got close and caught Reader by the arm and turned, locking their arms together. Reader wasn't ready for it and she tripped over her foot, effectively sending both of them to the ground. They landed on the mats and laid there for a moment, stunned. However, it passed quickly and they laughed together. Mary jumped up first, then extended a hand to Reader, who took it graciously. Mary pulled her up, only for Reader to nearly fall into her.

Mary caught her by the waist with a laugh. They steadied themselves and got into fighting positions again. Reader tried to plant her feet on the mat a little firmer than before, watching her feet carefully until she thought she was ready and looked up again. Mary was watching her with a smile, then asked, "Ready?"

Reader nodded, confident that she wouldn't fall this time. Mary came at her and tried to arm lock again, but it wasn't a real arm lock. She didn't hurt Reader and barely held on to her as they stood on the mat. They balanced each other as they stared at each other, then Reader broke into a wide grin.

"That's it, isn't it?" she asked excitedly.

Mary smiled. "It is! I did it!"

Then they lost their balance and fell onto the mat again, laughing. They were a pile of limbs entangled together, Mary on top of Reader as she lay on her back, smiling up at Mary. They were breathless and giggly as they didn't make any moves to get up as hastily as before. Once the giggles died down, Mary looked at Reader, some of her hair of her ponytail falling over her shoulder and in their faces. She threw it back and smiled at Reader, who smiled back.

"Hi," Reader said, another giggle slipping out.

Mary laughed. "Hi."

They sat up and sat on the mats, wordlessly deciding to take a small break. Mary got two bottled waters and handed one to Reader, and they sat together with the refreshments. They didn't say anything, but Reader couldn't stop sneaking glances at Mary ever so often.

When they stood up to do a few more run-throughs of the stunts Mary had to do. Reader took her position and Mary watched her, eyes roaming her body as she planted her feet on the mat and put her arms up. She couldn't help it as they went into the next string of moves; jab, jab, spin, kick, back to positions, punch, punch.

Reader blocked as she was supposed to, but got a little too into it. When Mary's next punch came at her, she caught her arm instead of block. It pushed them off balance again, but Reader put her foot back and stopped them from tumbling to the ground. They stared into each others eyes as things seemed to slow down. Their hearts were still beating hard as the adrenaline still ran through their blood.

Without a word, Mary leaned in and pressed her lips to Reader's. It was small and gentle, a barely-there kiss as she was unsure if this was the right move. But she closed her eyes anyway and sat there for only a few seconds, then she started to pull away when Reader pushed herself forward to give Mary a proper kiss. The force of Reader's eager energy was enough to send them to the floor.

They fell together, kiss breaking as they fell onto the mat. Reader caught herself over Mary and pushed herself to lay beside her instead. They stared at each other before Mary laughed and grabbed Reader by the waist, pulling her close and kissing her fully but gently. Reader smiled but it melted into the kiss, which was sweet and heavenly. Her hands went to Mary's face, holding her close and playing with some of her hair that had come out of her ponytail during their practice.

When they pulled out of the kiss, they giggled. Words didn't come to mind for Reader. She didn't know what to say. All she knew was that she was happy like this, held in Mary's arms as they laid there together. It was not just fun but sweet. It was nice. Maybe words weren't needed. Mary seemed to think so too as she pulled Reader into another kiss.

And that's how they spent the rest of their training, at least until they had to leave and decided they would have a nice lunch date together.
