So I was drawing some dragons today and I thought, “what if I designed a cute chubby dragon?” So I did.

This is a snow dragon. They are semi-aquatic dragons who live in the arctic, and they have a layer of blubber that keeps them warm. They are smol by dragon standards, the biggest ones being about 3 feet tall. They are playful, and baby snow dragons are called “pups.”

We stan a chubby dragon

Everyone talks about how Appa is apparently obese for a sky bison and Aang is over feeding him. Undeserved in my opinion (hes just big boned obviously)

But nobody talks about how Druk (Zuko's dragon) is a complete fatass compared to other dragons.

For example: These are pics of Roku's Dragon, Fang, and Sozin's Dragon

Do you see how long and noodley they are. They're actual dragons too, not Wyverns like GoT dragons. (Note the 4 legs)

And heres Ran and Shaw:

See, still very noodley. And these are quite old, large dragons.

Hey guys!

After that reblog I’ve made about the DnD movie… I just wanted to draw Mily as the most Themberchaud-looking dragon ever 😂😂. I like to think that sometimes she can’t control her shapeshifting abilities gets stuck in a form she didn’t ask for and this might be one of them. It’s temporary though and she’ll be able to turn back eventually so no nothing to worry about.

Après ce reblog que j’ai fais sur DnD… J’ai eu l’incontrôlable envie de dessin Mily sous la forme d’un adorable dragon bien dodu comme Themberchaud 😂. J’aime imaginer que parfois elle n’arrive pas a contrôlé ses pouvoirs ce qui fait qu’elle se retrouve coincée dans des formes qu’elle n’a pas demandé et c’est sûrement l’une d’entre elle. Mais pas d’inquiétudes ! Ce n’est que temporaire et elle redeviendra normale bien vite.

Just saw it tonight. Even my wife, who once said of D&D after listening to an actual play podcast with me, “I’d rather stick an ice pick in my eye than play,” said she enjoyed the movie. 🙂 We both liked the adorable chubby dragon, Themberchaud!

My favourite thing about the D&D movie is it never stops trying to be a D&D movie even down to the most minute, unsung details. There's initiative order gags (I'll go last!) there's rolling a 1 gags (setting off the trap on the bridge by inexplicably just walking up to it) there's stat gags (nobody had high enough Intelligence to be in danger from the Intellect Devourers). Almost every spell is identifiable, from Xenk using smite to Sofina whipping out Finger of Death. Simon's character arc is about his self-confidence being tied to his mastery of magic because Charisma is the spellcasting stat for sorcerers. The era of movies based on games being afraid of their source material is over.
