Type of writing : headcanons and 2 small drabbles.
Plot: Phillip and his s/o preparing and celebrating Christmas.
Tw: kinda fem-ish reader but still gn, tooth rotting fluff, Phillip being bullied by kids, a bit of angst but full comfort here dw, reader has parents. uncanny fake death situation of Phillip, reader cries.
Tumblr media
Definitely loves cuddles on the couch and watching a movie with the fire cracking in the background.
This man loves Christmas. It's not so much all of the traditions and stuff, just you being really happy about this and the cosy ambience that it brings.
Also, he forces the shadows to wear Santa's hats.
I think he has a pretty sweet tooth, so it's one of his favorite seasons because you make him hot chocolate with little marshmallows when he gets back from work.
If you want to see his eyes lit up, then bring him a Christmas market/festival. Phillip's eyes WILL light up like kids' ones.
Now let me tell you something. This blondie can't skate at all. It's really funny to see.
And that being said, he gets bullied by the kids on the ice rink.
Still would go again if it means that you're happy.
Now, I don't want to baby him because he is a grown man, but please throw a snowball at him. I promise you that it's going to be the best snowball fight ever.
If you have played until down, you know what I'm talking about, but if don't here is a video of the said scene
So I think he'd be more Mike-like, but tbh he could also be Jessica (I hope this makes sense). Also, you don't have to be a girl or anything for this exact interaction. He's just a bit cringe.
But that's okay, it's not a crime 😊
THIS.MAN.ALSO.LOVES.TO.DECORATE.YOUR.HOUSE !!!
I hcs he probably didn't really do anything for Christmas as a child.
It's supposed that he lived in South America, so it didn't really snow or anything. His parents didn't see the point in celebrating it.
Well no matter the reason that caused him to be "Christmas-starved", he still is.
I don't think he would go all out like you can see in some Christmas light contests, but he still puts quite the effort.
Inside the house, he would keep it pretty simple but with a good amount of things. Like fairy lights pretty much all around the house, whatever these are called in a banner like display, little Santa's, snowmans, ...
Now, to my favourite part, the drabbles ^^
Tumblr media
1. Decorating your first Christmas tree together 🎄:
You moved him with him pretty early in the relationship. He justified it by saying something amongst the lines of "I work a lot, sweetheart. As sad as it is, I won't be here often. If things go south one day, I won't ever kick you out, don't worry. See it as you helping me around the house when I'm not there, and as a payment, you get a free roof over your head, yeah?"
When he just said it, you were kinda offended, but thinking back, he's not wrong. Plus, he doesn't force you to move faster in the relationship. It's just a win-win situation. Of course, he mostly proposed this because he loves you so damn much.
He never felt like that with another person. He swears (in his head) that you have to be his soulmate. How else could you guys fit so well together?
When December came close, he asked you if you would want to make a Christmas tree with him. You said yes, obviously.
You both went to get dressed in warmer clothes before going to the local Christmas market.
Hand in hand, walking and stopping every 30 seconds because one of you saw something that catched your eyes. You both probably went a little overboard with the stuff you got, but you wouldn't wish to go back in time to do otherwise. He was so freaking happy. It made you melt every time you looked at him and his big smile.
After a while, he asks you to go get a Christmas tree (pine?) before all of the good ones are gone. I don't think you would go in a "chop the one you want" type of thing, but in a more store like type of thing. He insisted you guys should get a real one instead of the plastic ones because even tho it makes a huge mess, it's more cosy to have a real one. Don't ask me how, but you got the most beautiful tree ever. It's a nice fresh green colour, not too tall but very large and fluffy.
Once both of you are happy with what you have, you go back to your shared house to actually decorate the said tree.
It starts with unloading the car, then putting everything in the living room and finally doing what you both waited for. Decorating.
You set the tree in the corner of the living room, not too far away from the chimney. He chose to start with the fluffy garland before the light ones and finally the little balls and bauble you got.
Finally, it's time to set the star on top of the tree, and you insist he does it. After all, it's his idea.
"Don't be silly, love. C'mere, I'll help you, " He says before making a come here motion with his hand. You do. He lifts you up by the waist, and you place it perfectly.
Once he puts you back down, you both walk a few steps back to admire your work. He gives you a side hug, and you could swear he's almost crying.
You take a picture of your tree and a selfie of the both of you as a souvenir of this amazing day you guys spent.
2. Spending Christmas together but discreetly.
After his fake death, he had to lay very low to avoid any suspicion. Which also means that this year, it would only be the both of you on Christmas.
You never spent Christmas without your parents, so this was really hard for you. Not only did you have to lie to everyone, saying things like what you were too sad to celebrate this year, that you weren't able to attend, ... but you also had to make they sad and worried.
Phillip knew that it was really upsetting you but didn't know what to do apart for apologizing for making you do all of that.
On the morning of Christmas Eve, you woke up quite early and sat on the couch in front of the tree. When you looked at him once more, you started crying. The worst thing is that you felt terrible to cry. Everything was doing better than it could've. Your lover was alive and well. You had anything you could possibly need.
And yet you still felt like garbage. Even more now that you were felling guilty from feeling this way.
Phillip woke up in an empty bed. Your side was still a bit warm, so he knew that you left the bed not too long ago. Usually, he would've woken up at you getting up, but he was exhausted. He stretched before lazily sliding in his slippers and going look after you.
When he got down the stairs, he saw you curled up with your knees to your chest on the couch. It broke his heart when he heard you quietly sob.
He instantly goes up to you and sits down on the couch before rubbing your back in a comforting manner.
"Hey... what's going on lovely?" He asks in a worried tone.
After taking a couple of deep breaths in and out, you explain the reason why you were crying. He carefully listens, holds your hand, and squeezes it from time to time to prove that he is listening to you.
Once you're done, he drags you in his harm to hold you and pet your hair.
"Oh, baby... I'm so sorry that we have to go through this. That I have to make you go through this. I promise you that everything will be okay, though. I love you so so so much. You can't even imagine. That's why I'm still very happy. I get to spend the holidays with you. The love of my life. I'm going to make sure that you spend an amazing Christmas 'kay? Do you trust me?"
You just nod against him, your voice being stuck in your throat from such sweet words.
"I love you too, Phil's, and of course I trust you," you say after a little while of being in this comfortable hold.
Tumblr media
Sorry if this is really cheesy, I just am a sucker for lovey dovey stuff 😅
While Graves is not my favorite COD character at all, I can't lie and say that writing this didn't make me love him a bit more.
Also, I'm very sorry if he's ooc, I tried my best 🥹
I wish you a very merry Christmas and lovely holidays! 🍾☃️🎄
I hope you have a good day/night and that you're safe <3
I love you everyone!

Too Close For Comfort
Male! Co-worker X GN! Reader
A/N: Turns out you can write so much when you have free time :0 Anyway I spent way too damn long on this so… here we are! I hope yall enjoy :’) (There are so many things wrong with this piece which is EXACTLY why you do not procrastinate, kids.)
TW: christmas/holiday themes, sour mood on the holidays, drugging, forced kissing/ touching, yandere themes, alcohol/ intoxicated characters
Synopsis: Feeling like an odd one out at your office’s christmas party, you find an overly eager co-worker to spend your time with-- who seems to prove that no company may be better than bad company.
Word Count: 3300
Tumblr media
When most thought of the winter holidays, great cheer and comforting cold weather took priority. Whether it was staying inside from the bitter cold with a cup of warm tea, or decorating with shining lights and pine tree scents, there was always fun to be had. Even the music was jolly, no holiday song consisting of a sorrowful melody when it came to the season.
However, you unfortunately did not share the same holiday spirit as most during December. Those who had fun on Christmas or their yearly holidays usually had someone to spend it with, a person or people to keep them company from the windy chill and the loneliness of solitude. You had no such company; your family was unable to make it this year for the holidays, and you had yet to find a spouse that could enjoy the Christmas spirit with you.
You tried not to bring your disheartened attitude in with you today at work, but it was a real struggle when it came to watching your co-workers mingle with one another. You had yet to make any stable friendships since you started your job, which your huddling form in the corner showed quite obviously.
With eggnog in your hand and an ugly sweater covering your chest, you couldn’t help but frown at the floor as you listened to the sound of jingle bells and Michael Bublé for the 100th time this month. You desperately wanted to go home, to cry to a hallmark movie and down 3 cups of hot chocolate before passing out on your couch. But your boss insisted that everyone in your office stay for the christmas party else they’ll have to stay late on new years.
You didn’t have any particular plan for new years other than your yearly ritual of drinking your sorrows away while the clock strikes twelve, but it would be nice not to spend it in the office with a bunch of people you hardly knew. So, you stayed. You listened to the bad karaoke and watched as your co-workers got slammed on spiked eggnog.
A particular person who displayed such a description was your boss: a man in his 40s, currently ‘busting it down’ on the makeshift dancefloor to some holiday rap.
“He’s having a bit too much fun, wouldn’t you think?” A voice said next to your ear.
You turned to find one of your co-workers faces right next to yours, his hot breath ghosting over your ear as he grinned. You jumped at seeing him so close to you out of nowhere.
“Sorry, I just thought you wouldn’t be able to hear me over the music.” He apologized.
The man’s flurry of bright blonde hair and fair skin seemed to appear out of nowhere, his face flushed with a slight pink that must’ve been from the cold.
“No its alright. Klaus, right?” You asked.
“Yeah,” He laughed and rubbed the back of his head. “I’ve actually been standing behind you for a while now.”
You raised an eyebrow at his words, not expecting his choice of words.
“I mean-- I’ve seen you around the office quite a bit, but haven’t gotten the courage to talk to you ‘til now.”
You almost flushed at the sound of that. Someone had noticed you, and was really that afraid of talking to you? You had thought no one batted an eye at you after the first day of your arrival.
You remembered seeing Klaus around the office a few times-- he always seemed to be nearby, never doing anything important but never so visibly available that you felt confident enough to talk to him. He seemed very popular with your other co-workers, always chatting it up with someone and getting a giggle out of them. Sometimes you’d make eye contact with him, but you turned away too quickly out of embarrassment to let it linger any longer.
“Actually I’ve been standing here for 10 minutes hoping you’d notice me.” He bashfully admitted.
Oh.
“What really? I’m so sorry--” You tried to apologize, feeling yourself grow hot at how oblivious you were.
“No don’t worry. I’m just glad I’ve finally caught your attention.” He gave you a small wink, leaning in closer to make himself more hearable.
You widened your eyes at that, surprised at his forwardness-- you couldn’t remember the last time someone came onto you so obviously. Or rather, at all. You had been sort of avoiding the dating- slash- hookup scene ever since you moved for your job.
“O-oh.” You weren’t exactly sure how to respond, taking another large gulp of your drink.
“In fact, I thought you were looking rather lonely over here.” Klaus said, moving forward closer to you. You stepped backwards in time with his movements, afraid of getting too close to him. He didn’t seem to mind, keeping eye contact with you as he licked his lips and smiled.
“Oh, really? Well… I’m, alright. Don’t worry about me.” You laughed awkwardly, caught completely off guard.
He placed a hand on the wall behind you, standing beside and yet in front of you, in a non-threatening but trapping manner. Taking a sip out of his own drink, he watched as you fumbled to fill the silence he seemed so comfortable with.
“Hey everybody! A shrill voice called. “Guess who’s under the mistletoe!”
One of your female coworkers pointed towards you and Klaus in a drunken stupor, her dark skin flushed from the alcohol and showing mischevious excitement.
You looked up to see a hanging green plant, ripe red berries intertwined in its leaves with a red bow holding it from the ceiling. Klaus didn’t bother looking up, continuing to stare at you as you admired the greenery.
It wasn’t until a chant brought you out of your thoughts did you feel your stomach drop.
“Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!” Your female coworker started, shaking her fist in time with her intoxicated slurs. She stumbled and clapped her hands, the rest of the office following suit. Your boss even chimed in, becoming the loudest with his tie tied around his forehead and his shirt unbuttoned. You hadn’t realized how unraveled the party had become until all the attention was on you. The chant got louder as more joined in, Klaus looking at you for your reaction.
You looked back at him and to the crowd, unsure of what you should do. Klaus looked prepared, trying to appear casual yet undeniably eager.
“Should we give the people what they want?” He asked, though you could tell what he was hoping for.
Yet, you hardly knew him! This was your first time talking to the man, and he was your co-worker-- someone who you’d have to see day in and day out 5 days a week. The world of problems this one kiss could bring, was a risk you weren’t sure would be worth it.
Despite knowing that, you began to lean towards him. Maybe it was the eggnog or the fear of disappointing the party attendees, but you kept moving forward as he grinned a bit too excitedly.
Immediately Klaus’s hand shot to your back, pulling you so the inside of his thigh warmed your knee. His hand on your back pressed against your sweater and gently moved to support you, the other coming up to cup your cheek. You expected the kiss to be a short peck-- enough to satisfy the drunken herd, but Klaus’s movements read romance.
His hands were warm, likely from holding his hot drink of choice all evening. He smelled faintly of snow and hot chocolate, his breath hitting your nose as he stood over you, waiting to get closer. His fingers fell to your chin as his pointer and thumb gripped to pull your face towards his softly. You let him take the lead, holding onto his cold jacket as he pushed you up to meet his height.
You could feel the burn of a hundred eyes on you, all staring; watching, anticipating.
Klaus’ lips touched yours, his mouth parting just slightly for yours to fit in like a puzzle piece. He didn’t dare shove his tongue down your throat or slime you with saliva like you bet half of the drunks here would have, instead squeezing his lips around yours with a hand on the back of your head, deepening the act of affection as if he waited a millennium to give it to you.
Thankfully, cheering commenced from the boisterous crowd, though you couldn’t hear it from the blood rushing in your ears. Neither you or Klaus wanted to let go-- though for vastly different reasons. Hands rushed to pat you and your male counterpart on the back once you forced yourself to break away. Klaus still held onto you, moving his hands to hold your waist as the crowd trickled closer to congratulate. The music got louder, a shout of more drinks being poured gaining another cheer from the crowd.
They all shouted words of praise and excitement, some more inebriated than others, but nonetheless all happy and excited with a holiday glow in their eyes and cheeks.
Once the drinks were poured and called to be given out, the attention on you and Klaus was gone. The crowd moved away, diminishing all to go back to partying and their own groups of familiarity. Though Klaus still hadn’t let go of you. You looked at him, awkwardly shuffling backward as he let go reluctantly.
The music had somehow gotten louder, though the attention was now pulled back to your tipsy boss making decisions he’d surely regret in the morning, and everyone else focusing back on their own groups. You felt out of place again-- though now with a partner instead of alone. You weren’t sure if that as any better though, since now it was two all alone rather than one.
“Do you want to go somewhere more quiet?” Klaus asked, leaning once again uncomfortably close to your face. “Somewhere with less, you know, people?” He put a hand to the small of your back, hoping to gently push your decision.
“That’d be great.” You sighed with a smile, glad to be escaping in some way, even if it meant spending time with an awkward acquaintance.
Klaus grabbed your hand with his, bringing a comforting warmth to your chilled fingers. He slid by the twinkling christmas tree, pushing past people with an urgency that would’ve concerned you if you weren’t so eager to leave yourself. You almost tripped over the small presents meant for white elephant underneath the tree if you hadn’t watched your step, trying to move carefully as Klaus lifted your hand to make it easier.
“Thanks,” You said, though you doubted it could be heard over the loud chatter and high note from Mariah Carey on the radio.
You realized Klaus had been leading you back towards your desks, into a small hallway that only held your bosses office and a small janitor’s closet. People still paraded around the office everywhere you went, a few couples making out in their cubicles with the only light source coming from strung up christmas lights on the walls. You squinted your eyes, unable to see in the dark except for Klaus’ shoes in front of you.
You bumped into his back as he suddenly stopped in front of the closet, letting out a small ‘oomph’ into his thick jacket.
“Sorry..” You mumbled, though he only seemed to let out a small, teasing laugh.
Opening the door, he led you into the closet. You gulped, thinking this was a strange place to gain privacy. You thought perhaps the two of you would go outside, or maybe head back to one of your cubicles, even if it wasn’t the best way to be alone. Yet, you still followed him into the closet, hoping maybe you could take a breather without hearing incessant jovial laughing or wet drunken kisses from your co-workers who couldn’t keep themselves off each other. Hoping in, Klaus shut the door with a ‘click.’
There was no light in the closet, and no switch to turn on even a hanging light bulb.
“Well, here we are.” You said, hoping to lighten the thick air.
“Yes.” Klaus said, his body in front of you though you couldn’t see it. You shuffled around, trying to get comfortable despite unknown items at your feet and on the shelves next to you. You stood in silence, soaking up the fact that there was no distractions to remind you of your loneliness. And, well, you weren’t alone. Atleast, not right now.
Klaus’ breathing got heavier, loud enough to fill the silence of the closet.
“I can’t believe…. We’re alone together.” He exhales.
“Yeah….?” You say, unsure of what he means.
Though the hands on your shoulders seem to put forth his meaning more clearly.
“I thought we’d never be able to get away from them.” He chuckles, pressing his chest against yours this time, pulling you into a hug. “Though, I didn’t think the mistletoe would go that smoothly.”
Klaus rubbed your back with a sensuality you didn’t expect, humming into your ear as he embraced you moreso than co-workers-- or even friends should.
“I can’t say I expected you to kiss me so easily..”
He let go of the unreciprocated hug to cup your face with his soft hands.
“So, does this mean you have feelings for me…. too?”
“W-what?” You back away from his hands into the supply shelf. “Klaus, uh,” You chuckle for a moment, trying to come up with an answer. “We’ve only talked once, and that was 5 minutes ago!”
You tried to keep your tone light, giving a small laugh to hide your nervousness.
“But our kiss,” He argued. “Our kiss. Didn’t you feel something from that?”
He huffed and brought his hands down to your shoulders.
“Not only that--didn’t you feel any sparks when we made eye contact last tuesday? When you brushed by me in the break room? Come on.” He spoke as if it was the most obvious thing in the world, shaking your shoulders and pressing the toe of his shoe against yours.
“I’m sorry, I don’t even remember that--” You tried to find his eyes in the dark, but could only make out vague shapes of his face. “I thought that kiss was just-- peer pressure.”
Klaus went silent. His hands limp against your shoulders, the male hung his head in defeat.
“....Nothing? You haven’t… noticed me at all?” He sounded pitiful, voice cracking ever so slightly. “And our kiss, was just an act to you?”
Klaus bit his lip to stop himself from letting out a sob, his worst fears commencing together to build a crushing momentum.
“I’m sorry… I didn’t know, it meant that much to you. I don’t know you that well, so I really don’t have any room to say I share the same feelings.” You sighed, patting his hands sympathetically.
Well, that was certainly a turn of events from what you expected.
Yet, Klaus perked up at hearing you.
“But that doesn’t entirely rule out the possibility, right? You could still… find yourself falling for me-- potentially.”
“Klaus, I don’t really think--”
“It’s possible, with enough time, with enough-- convincing.” He interrupted.
You were about to refute his rationalization, trying to let him down gently. That was until the feeling of familiar lips crashing onto yours came, devouring you faster than the first kiss had. Klaus shoved you against the supply shelf, forcing your head back with his as his nose bumped into yours. Tight lips wrapped around your mouth as the man desperately tried to convince you.
“Klauth--!” You tried to muffle out, feeling your struggling hands forcefully pushed against the shelf.
“No--! Just let me--” He huffed between kisses. “Give me the chance to convince you--! I’m worth it!-- I promise--”
Thumps could be heard outside the closet, cleaning and old office supplies falling off the shelves as the two of you danced in a struggling fashion.
You let out a series of noises against his mouth, mostly poor attempts at trying to tell him to stop, to get off of you, all of which were futile compared to how overpowering Klaus’s desperation was. He was determined, and there was little that could stop him.
Though with a rightly timed shove and a bite of his lip, you managed to push the man into the door. It let out an echoing clatter, Klaus being unable to catch himself beforehand.
“What is the matter with you!” You managed to huff out, balling your fists up.
Klaus ignores your upset expression, wiping his lips.
“I’m really not a bad guy, you know. I don’t use things like chloroform or handcuffs.” Your heart dropped, panic beginning to set in. “I didn’t even really plan on bringing this with me tonight…. It was just a precaution. So I hope, you won’t think different of me.” Klaus frowned, coming closer to you with heavy footsteps.
“What are you even on about!” You tried to back away, about to tell him to stop once more. The more he came closer, the more worried you became. Clearly, there was something wrong with him on a level that you couldn’t understand, and you weren’t waiting to find out what it was.
But before you could react, a pinching feeling was running down your thigh. Something stabbed into your leg, unwavering as Klaus’ hand covered it. His other arm moved up to shove against your mouth, your teeth biting into his arm as you tried to struggle away. He spun around, pushing you against the closet door as you tried to frantically get free. Klaus thumbed the end of the syringe, making sure the entirety of the sedative entered your system. Once he felt it hit the bottom, Klaus pulled the needle out of your leg and threw the syringe to the floor. He used the rest of his weight to keep you steady and silent.
You tried to scream against his arm once you realized what he had done. You didn’t know what he had just injected you with, but it certainly was not something benign. Your arms tried to flail but could only wiggle within Klaus’s grasp as he held them down.
Only a mere few seconds passed before you felt something strange occur within you, a limpness in your limbs beginning as your eyelids lowered. It was small at first-- just a nagging tiredness in your body. But it soon grew to a point that you could no longer counsciously comprehend, your mind flatlining.
“You’re so much work,” Klaus said with a struggled laugh, trying to keep you down while brushing a stray hair away from your slowly relaxing face. “But worth it. I promise, I’ll prove myself to you. I’ll make you beg for me.”
You could feel your spit drool down your chin from Klaus’ sleeve, your attempts at biting and removing his arm leaving you a mess. It didn’t take long for the tranquilizer to work its effects, your eyes having gone hazy and body nearly falling to the floor. If it wasn’t for Klaus’s reaction time you would’ve slammed against the door, which would’ve been preferable when it came to Klaus’s intentions. Instead, he caught you with his arms, fighting to keep you upwards.
“You’ll be convinced before new years, sweetheart.” Klaus planted a small kiss to the side of your mouth, cleaning the drool from your face. “Merry Christmas, my little present.”

heesung and ni-ki to come!! i'm writing it rn ♡♡
-park jong-seong ♡ christmas shopping
<jay-tentlmen wants to buy clothes for you>
"jay, it's alright" you mumbled against the back of his neck, squeezing his hand gently. he squeezed your hand but ignored you otherwise, sifting through the bright sweaters on display.
"jay-" you started again, but your boyfriend pulled out a cream-coloured cable-knit sweater, and put it against your chest. "i think this suits you, baby" he nods, (cause jay is the fashion king). you opened your mouth, but jay cut you off immediately. "i'll buy it for you babe". again, you made a sound of disapproval, and he stared at you, giving you the park jeonseong look. you glared at him back, and jay immediately sighed.
"fine then" he said, putting it back. "go meet me outside, baby. ill be back in a minute." you followed his commands, not wanting to start more quarrel, and a few minutes later, jay still hadn't returned.
you called him, still no reply. worried, you ran back inside, spotting him at the cashier, bags in both hands. "jongseong! is that all for me?!" you gasped. he stared at you again, frowning at himself.
"why, is it too little, baby?"
yang jungwon ♡ christmas light walk
a simple walk was everything to you; just you in jungwon's hoodie, walking through snow-struck streets, admiring the lights.
"come closer sweetheart" he whispered into your ear. as if you two could get any closer. yet you obliged, jungwon reaching down to entwine your fingers. it was amazing how your hands fit into his so perfectly, even though his hand was slightly smaller that yours. his thin fingers wrapped around yours as his thumb caressed the back of your hand in a manner that made your heart flutter.
he noticed that immediately. jungwon leant over and kissed the top of your head and you could feel his lips smiling on you.
"you know what sweetie?" he asked, whispering into your hair. you looked up, admiring his cute expression for what must be the five-hundredth time that day. "what do i know, kitty?" you hummed.
"sweetheart, i can't believe im so hopelessly in love with you." you stopped the second your heart stopped. there was countless beautiful decorations all around you, but you couldn't keep your eyes off the prettiest thing in the area; your freaking boyfriend.
he smiled cheekily, flashing his signature smile. "y/n, why do you look like this is the first time i said it? is it really that shocking that your boyfriend loves you?" you pulled him in for a kiss on the cheek, feeling his mouth stretch into a grin.
"i love you too, wonnie. to the stars and back"
-park sung-hoon ♡ ice-skating
what else would you expect from enhypen's professional ice-skater?
as sunghoon led you onto the ice-skating ring, he already looked like a professional. "i'm so excited you're here!" he gasps, beaming. his smile was ten times bigger when he was on the ice; it was beautiful, so full, so happy. who could resist it? now that you were here, he couldn't be happier. soon a laugh also breezed out of your mouth as you watched him spin and twirl across the ice, also attaining gasps from on-watchers. "come on, y/n!" he shouted happily.
you nodded at him, but as soon as you stepped onto the ice, you slipped. gosh i'm so bad at sports, you thought, yet second later you were in sunghoon's arms, staring into his eyes.
"you don't know how to skate?!" he asked, laughing. you pouted at him, then he lifted you up. "come on, i'll teach you. i taught niki how to, you couldn't possibly be any worse?"
i couldn't learn this fast but soon you were gliding cross the ice, hand in hand with sunghoon. as he spun you around and you giggled, feeling so, so, so happy. then suddenly, hoon pulled you up to your ear and whispered against your lobe "merry christmas, y/n. i love you"
kim sunoo ♡ christmas karaoke
your "date" with sunoo already chaos; its was you, sunoo, enhypen ("i thought it was just going to be us two at your house!" "whats the fun in that?") and one karaoke machine.
jay and heesung turn on "jingle bell rock" and, with their arms wrapped around each other, sing it together with smiles. you make small talk with jake, but really, you were just feeling upset. all you wanted to do was to spend time with sunoo alone.
after a while, sunoo and sunghoon did a "sia" duet together, and you only spoke to him once before it when you forced him to eat. after they finished, sunoo whispered something to hoon, and a second later, the first jingles to "all i want for christmas" began to play.
he stared at you and smiled, a big, wide, sunoo smile then leant into the microphone. "this is for y/n" he giggled, and you felt your heart skip a beat. oh gods. you thought. you're dating one of the best singers in korea, aren't you? throughout the whole performance, you got goosebumps, and at the very end, he kissed you. "love you, y/n" he mouthed at you, and the whole crowd cheered. okay this was out of person but anyways
-sim jae-yun  ♡ christmas-themed puppy cafe
jake was missing layla during training once, so you offered to go with him to a dog cafe you saw on the internet. "lets call it a date!" jake said excitedly, his mouth forming his signature "O"
as you entered the cafe, you and jake were greeted energetically by a golden retriever, who lept onto jake with his jaws wide open. "hey baby" he cooed at the dog, making your stomach churn in reasons you didn't know why.
throughout the whole date, you continued to feel that way. gosh, are you jealous of a dog? you scolded yourself. jake seemed to be talking to everyone but you, smiling, patting, laughing. it felt as if the christmas spirit had washed out of the room the moment you stepped in. maybe you should just leave...
at that moment, jake came and sat next you, another dog snuggling at his lap.
"what's with sour face, princess?" he asked you. in fact, in the window's reflection, you looked like you had just ate two lemons. nontheless, you forced a smile and looked at jake again. "oh! nothing sweetheart!"
he pouted, and you couldn't resist his sad face. who could?
"seem's like the dogs have become your girlfriend" you joked. jake immediately stopped what he was doing and stared at you. "no, don't say that princess!" he said, then kissed your cheek. "your forever my baby, understood?" you smiled and took his hand. "understood, jake"

12 Days of Christmas - ACOTAR Edition
In the spirit of the Holidays, I will be writing & posting short stories about the ACOTAR characters for the next 12 days. Please note that some will be shorter than others and that this is simply meant to be a fun time for everyone that loves these characters as much as I do!
PS. I'm open to requests.
AO3
5th day of Christmas - Cookie Decorating
I'm dedicating this to Elisa for giving me so many good ideas for this challenge. I love you and you're the best and I hope this story does your idea justice.
It's just cookies! (Archeron Sisters Bonding)
Tumblr media
If anyone happened to enter the kitchen of the townhouse, they would probably be extremely confused at the sight before them. Alarmed even.
Feyre stood hunched over a tray of cookies, a look of pure concentration on her face as she gently drew different patterns with the pipping bag in her hands. Stars, and snowmen, and Solstice trees appeared under her sister’s talented hands, each one looking more mouthwatering than the other.
On the other end of the counter, Nesta stared at the tray in front of her with disdain, holding the pipping bag in her hands with what could only be described as a death grip. There were already two cookies decorated, though Elain couldn’t be quite sure of what they were supposed to be. She wasn’t sure Nesta knew either if the frustrated look on her face was any indication.
When Elain had first suggested to her sisters that they all bake cookies for their family it had been a fiddle attempt at spending more time with them. Sure, she had only vaguely mentioned the fact they’d be baking them from scratch, but Elain had been confident enough in her skills that she had expected things to go smoothly. Looking around her, she couldn’t help but grimace, very much regretting the suggestion that any of her sisters step foot in the kitchen in the first place.
There wasn’t an inch of the kitchen counter that wasn’t covered in either burnt parchment paper or whatever ingredients had been used to bake gingerbread cookies (Elain couldn’t quite recall why cheese was one of them, but she tried not to think about it). Solstice-themed cookie cutters were pilled precariously by the sink, where every single baking tool Elain ever owned now seemed to be.
Out of the four batches Elain had originally planned to bake, only two remained. One had ended up in the trash, burnt and possibly toxic, while the other had been eaten by both Feyre and Nesta. Stress-eating, Feyre had offered as an explanation at Elain’s affronted glare.
Now, Elain couldn’t help but crave something to nibble on too. The baking should’ve been the hardest part of it, but Elain was close to tears as she watched both her sisters decorate the cookies. Between Feyre’s perfectionism and Nesta’s utter lack of talent, it was all Elain could do not to kick them out of her kitchen. Out of her house. Mainly as Nesta cursed rather colourfully for what was probably the tenth time in the past thirty seconds.
“Remind me again why I agreed to do this?” Nesta muttered under her breath as she tried to draw a smiley face on the snowman in front of her. At least that’s what Elain assumed she was going for.
“We’re bonding.” Elain said exasperatedly, hovering behind her older sister. “Stop squeezing the bag like that or else you won’t have any icing left for the other cookies.”
“I’d like to squeeze your neck, instead.” Nesta grumbled.
Feyre snorted. “I don’t think we’re very good at bonding, Elain.”
“If it helps, I don’t think you’re very good at baking, either.” Elain mumbled, biting her nails as she fought the urge to help Nesta. Her fingers were tingling with the need to reach for the pipping bag and just show her how easy it was to handle it. Or how unnecessary it was to completely strangle it.
Nesta eyed her cookies with a tilted head, then eyed Feyre’s cookies with envy. “How is it fair that I’m competing against Feyre? She’s a cauldron-damned painter.”
“This is not a competition.” Elain said, eyeing Feyre’s cookies. They did look beautiful, but Nesta didn’t need to hear that. Not when she was trying so hard. “This is a friendly, innocent activity. It’s just cookies!” She tried to be cheerful, but she feared she was edging lunacy. By the look her sisters gave her, she probably looked it as well.
“And if it were a competition, you’d at the very least get a participation medal.” Feyre smirked, ducking down just as a gingerbread cookie flew in her direction. She narrowed her eyes at her older sister. “That’s not very friendly of you.”
“Please, don’t waste anymore cookies.” Elain whined. At this rate, their friends would be lucky if they could get one each. “We don’t have the time to bake another batch and I refuse to bother Nuala and Cerridwen on Solstice.” Was she hyperventilating? It certainly felt like she was.
“Ladies,” A familiar voice sounded from behind Elain, but she couldn’t bring herself to turn around and watch as Rhysand strolled inside the kitchen. Not when it looked as if it had felt victim to one of Cassian’s drunken pranks. “Why is Elain having a meltdown?”
Feyre smiled, leaning against her mate as he reached her side. “We’re very bad at bonding.”
“And baking. Very bad at baking.” Elain added, mildly terrified as Azriel and Cassian too appeared in the doorway.
“Can’t be that bad, can it?” Cassian grinned, peering into both trays. He shrugged. “They look edible.”
Azriel grabbed a cookie, eyebrows rising as he tried to understand exactly what he was looking at. He didn’t seem to entirely agree with Cassian’s statement. “I’m guessing Nesta decorated these?” He asked, a smirk on his lips.
“Don’t be a dick.” Cassian said, chewing the head of a snowman. “They’re…” He tilted his head, narrowing his eyes as he eyed the plate in front of him. “abstract. Right, Nes?”
Nesta gave him a blank stare. “Sure.”
Azriel shook his head, trying to hide a smile as he eyed Elain. “Did you bake anything?” Was it her or had that felt more like an accusation than an innocent question?
Bastard.
She felt her face heat as everyone’s attention turned to her. “N-no.”
Azriel narrowed his eyes, knowing smile on his lips. “Are you sure?”
“Why would she bake anything?” Feyre objected before Elain could say anything. “She asked us to do it with her.”
“And she trusts us.” Nesta added. Then paused, turning to her sister as if suddenly unsure. “Right?”
Elain nodded quickly, ignoring Azriel’s taunting smile as she focused on her sisters instead. “Of course I do!” She assured them, because she truly did.
Even if she had gotten up at dawn to bake a few batches as precaution.

Their First Christmas With You: Albert Wesker
Tumblr media
It caught Umbrella by surprise when Wesker told them he wasn’t going to be working over the holidays. They didn’t really know how to handle their best operative suddenly disappearing with only a phone call explaining that he was only to be contacted in an emergency.
And that emergency was only applicable if his work had been stolen or destroyed; Umbrella was under nuclear attack or an outbreak was going global. The rest they can deal with on their own.
You were just as surprised, but considerably more excited, about Wesker staying home over the holiday.
And you spent as much time as possible with him. It had been a long time since the two of you got to sleep in during the mornings together. Or stay up late talking without his phone going off and him having to leave on business.
It was nice spending everyday not worried that your moments weren’t going to be interrupted because someone in a lab dropped a viral sample.
Wesker has had your present planned for months. And worked on it throughout that time.
Umbrella has never allowed him to contact you on missions without their supervision. Usually monitored over secure lines with specialists listening in to make sure he didn’t give any information that was classified.
And sometimes, it would be months before you get even a hint of whether he was alive or dead.
So, Albert designed a small device that, no matter the distance or lack of signal, would alert you with a gentle vibration when touched, if Wesker was still alive. He had a paired device that would give a small vibration in response anytime you touched your present. They were both in the shape of a bracelet. A neat, simple design that Wesker could hide under the sleeve of his coat. Made from leather and metal that when, or if ever seen, would be passed as a watch band.
Your gift to him was not nearly as high tech or fancy. But you got him a little chain and pendant with a picture of you hidden inside. You did try to get something complex, where the pendant had a small trick mechanism you had to solve before it clicked open. Which Wesker solved mere seconds after opening the gift.
Albert complained all the time that he missed seeing you, so you gave him something to take with him.
His silence at first worried you. The thoughts of him not liking your gift swelled in your chest. Maybe it was too sappy? Were you being too forward in your relationship?
But Wesker shattered those thoughts by kissing you. His hands held the sides of your face as your lips crashed together. It was such a loving, tender kiss that your mind melted into a puddle of giddiness. Leaving you smiling as Wesker pulled away to gaze down at the pendant in his hand. Bright red eyes shining as he wrapped the chain around his wrist. The same one his bracelet was clasped around.
“So everytime you check in on me, I can see your face.” He said softly.
To Wesker, it was perfect. He had never been given a gift that made his chest tighten like yours did. And after those holidays, he found his work to be a little more bearable when it took him away from you.
Now able to see your face and feel your touch every morning and night.

Christmas with the Uppermoons 🌲 (Chaos with the Uppermoons)
Theme: SILLYNESS
Note: MERRY CHRISTMAS OR WHATEVER YOU CELEBRATE IN DECEMBER (or like happy random normal day of the week if nothing-)!!!
Anyways, here's the ships!: DouKaza, NakiDaki, KokuZan, KaiGyu (we'll pretend they're both alive at the same time), Gyokko x the christmas lights, Hantengu x ...air?? (idk I never write either of Gyokko or Hantengu LMAO.....)
Ages brought closer together for KaiGyu and NakiDaki for obv reasons
Alright, let's see if I can finish this before the day of christmas <33
Started: November 6th
Finished: (with a lot of procrastination) Dec. 24 (help)
Every year, on December 25th, the Uppermoons had a Christmas party. Which was ironic because, of all people, Muzan was the one that made them do it. Yes, Muzan.
For some reason that none of the Uppermoons knew, Muzan had taken a liking into this human, Christian (i'm not even christian but i do christmas bc yes..) holiday and.. made his demons celebrate it.
So now, like the past 500 years, they were readying for the holiday once again.
This was the one day that they never went out on missions to kill. And the one day the Demon Slayers had a break.
All of the Uppermoon's food would be stored up from a week before till now simply so they didn't need to go out and get their food on Christmas. This was, again, Muzan's idea.
Now this year was different, somehow. Different because, well, Muzan had a boyfriend. And he'd been rather keen on being a good one back, given that none of his relationships had been... successful. So, he had bought... a large amount of the most random gifts ever just to please Kokushibo (and if it wasn't obvious, Kokushibo is his boyfriend).
And Muzan was attempting to be the matchmaker for his Uppermoons because they were so fucking oblivious!! (Like he wasn't as well.. It took him so long to realize Kokushibo liked him back and he could literally read his mind).
Muzan was pissed, though. Because a certain Uppermoon was trying to be the one to make all of the decorations and that certain Uppermoon was excedingly annoying.
Gyokko, pleading, was showing Muzan a box full of vases which were supposedly his art and that he should be the one to make the decoration for the tree.
"No!!" Muzan had shouted, and quite literally kicked the box of vases across the Infinity Fortress, breaking them to pieces.
Gyokko cried for hours after that, and only because Kokushibo soothed him did Muzan stop himself from killing Upper 5.
Later, Muzan called an Uppermoon meeting and..
"Gyokko," he said.
The Uppermoon, still in tears, looked up. "What?"
"You must dress up as the grinch and then stay in the corner of the room all of Christmas and.. cry. Okay?" Muzan decided, crossing his arms.
"What?!" Gyokko cried, "why??"
"Because I hate you!"
"I..."
Daki covered her mouth, trying not to laugh, and said, her words muffled by her hand, "I can get him a costume."
"Perfect," Muzan said. "Alright, now I hope all of you have been buying things for each other—if you got anything for Gyokko give it to him the day after Christmas because the Grinch doesn't deserve anything. Okay? We have only a few days to decorate the Infinity Castle so I hope you all know what to do!!"
They all nodded simutaneously, Gyokko sniffing indignantly as he did.
"Right. Now hurry up. Kokushibo, meet me in my office in a minute." Muzan turned and left, leaving the Uppermoons to prepare—and Gyokko to suffer in silence.
(Ehm. You might know by now that I don't particularily favor Gyokko 😇)
×××
"Kokushibo. I need your help," Muzan said, his voice lowering on the word 'help.' He'd never asked for help before in his whole life—honestly.
Kokushibo cocked his head. "Do you, now? What for?" he asked curiously.
"The Uppermoons are so stupid!—Not you, of course," Muzan quickly corrected.
"Hm. Why so?" the six-eyed demon asked.
"Because Akaza like Douma but he pretends he hates Douma and Douma—the stupid motherfucker—likes Akaza but thinks it's just that Akaza smells nice so he likes to be with him more, Daki likes Nakime but is too afraid to say anything, Nakime likes Daki but had bad experiences with past relationships so doesn't want to say anything, Kaigaku likes Gyutaro and knows which Uppermoon likes which and is rather loud-mouthed and a gossip but he never can tell Gyutaro how he feels, Gyutaro likes Kaigaku but doesn't know how to do relationships, Gyokko is, for some weird reason, madly in love with art, and Hantengu is scared of everything including air," Muzan said in one breath, sighing at the end. "So you see, they're stupid. And I'm trying to get the Uppermoons together—in relationships, but not Gyokko and Hantengu for obvious reasons—and I've not been able to!!"
"Ehm.." Kokushibo stared at him for a minute, trying to process everything. Then he said, hesitantly, "I guess I could help? I'm no expert in this place but I can try.."
"Thank you!" Muzan said, relieved. "It was starting to get annoying trying to read their minds to see what they thought of my announcement and finding them only longing to be kissing some other Uppermoon. It's irritating."
"Right..."
The demon king put a hand on his desk and leaned on it, looking Kokushibo up and down. "So, why don't we go do something together now that we're by ourself? A little freedom before we have to put ourselves to dealing with the Uppermoons?" he suggested, grinning.
Kokushibo laughed. "Alright, then."
×××
And hence began the matchmaking service of Muzan Kibutsuji. Oh, and Kokushibo of course.
First patients, were Uppermoon's 2 and 3. Or, the lemon and the strawberry as Muzan and Kokushibo called them when there weren't alone.
Muzan proposed that they would first try to get Akaza to admit his feelings because... because Akaza was really stubborn. Well, so was Douma but they eventually agreed that Akaza would take a bit more convincing since Douma usually ended up agreeing pretty easily since he had no sort of handle on his own emotions.
Muzan told Nakime to teleport both of the Uppermoons to one room in which they couldn't escape, then he would care for the rest.
After that, Muzan watched the two through Nakime's eye, seeing them confused at first.
"Hi," he said unceremoniously, his voice echoing into the room they'd been teleported to.
Akaza and Douma looked up simultaneously.
"Master?" Akaza asked, confused.
Muzan nodded then realized they couldn't see him. "Ah, right. You two must confess until you both understand. And then I'll let you out," he explained.
"Oh," Akaza said. His mind raced. Could it be that Muzan knew who he loved..?
Douma stared down at the ground and his hands fidgeted. "I...I confess that once, when all my cult members went to a festival, I was tired and hungry. And I... didn't want to go look for humans to eat... so I ate a chicken."
Akaza raised an eyebrow. "You what?"
"Ate a chicken..."
The shorter of the two bit back laughter and Muzan's voice rang around them. "You idiot! That's not what I meant when I said 'confess.'"
"It wasn't?" the blond asked, confused.
"No, you dumbass," Muzan said, exasperated. Why'd he chosen this person to be in the Upper ranks again? "Akaza, you go first."
Akaza's laughed stopped almost immediately and he averted his eyes, turning away from Douma.
Completely clueless, the rainbow-eyed demon tilted his head in confusion. "Are you okay, Akaza-dono?"
"Shut up," Akaza snapped, crossing his arms and glaring at the floor.
"Akaza," Muzan said sternly, as if scolding a little child. "Tell him."
Akaza looked away and was silent for a moment before—"Fine." He turned back to Douma, his eyes narrowed. He looked very stern. Serious.
Douma swallowed, fearing the worst.
But then Akaza said, "I fucking like you."
And then the world melted away and Douma was blinking and staring up at Akaza with his eyes wide. "You do?"
"Bitch, didn't I just say that?"
"You aren't lying?" Douma asked hopefully.
"If I were lying Master would kill me!!!" Akaza snapped, getting irritated.
"I probably would," Muzan agreed.
Kokushibo, who was standing next to Muzan and being given the ability to see and hear everything that was happening, stifled a laugh. Muzan rolled his eyes at his boyfriend and shushed him before turning back to the two Uppermoons.
"Now, Douma, what do you want to say about what Akaza told you," he said, as if a parent trying to get his child to understand.
Douma thought for a moment—actually thought—and then said, "Thank you?"
Akaza sighed. "Why do I like you again?"
Muzan was having similar thoughts and, deciding that Douma was very much like a child, said, "Listen, if you don't figure it out I'm going to have you be punished!"
Douma pouted. "Okay..." He turned to Akaza. "So, do you know what I'm supposed to say?"
"You're supposed to say about how you feel of what I said," Akaza said, cringing at his own words. He didn't really want to know.
"Hmm..." The blond demon appeared to be deep in thought as he started pacing around the room. Then he stopped, quite suddenly, and said, "Akaza-dono!"
"What?" Akaza said, his tone bored now.
"I like you too!" he said decidedly, making Akaza's eyes widen.
Definitely unexpected.
"What?" he repeated, though more intrigued now.
"I like you too, Akaza-dono! You said you like me, and I like you too," Douma explained.
"Like... like-like, or just like?" Akaza asked slowly.
"Wut." Douma blinked. (I wrote duoma-)
"Like-like or friend-like?" Akaza tried.
"What's like-like?"
"Like... love? Sorta? Or, like, more than friendship?" he said, confusing himself.
"Uhm... Like-like!" Douma exclaimed, poising his hands on his hips triumphantly for figuring it out.
"Oh."
A silence quite deafening spread through the room, making Douma fidget uncomfortably.
"Is that bad?" Douma asked after another moment.
"No, no it's not," Muzan said, answering for Akaza. "Now you two can go off and fuck now I don't care. Nakime?"
The biwa demon complied, strumming her instrument and teleporting the two Uppermoons to Douma's cult room.
×××
"Two down, four to go!" Muzan said, apparently very proud of himself.
Kokushibo agreed, sitting down on the chair in front of Muzan's desk. "Now what?" he asked.
Muzan hesitated and his previous triumph seemed to simmer down. "I... don't really know."
His boyfriend laughed, making him snap his head up indignantly. "Hey!! It's not like you're giving me any ideas," he protested.
"Okay, okay, fine," Kokushibo said, sighing. "Do we have a sort of deadline?"
Muzan tapped his chin. "Christmas?"
"But that's in, like, 3 days..." he whined.
"Yeah and we only have two more 'couples' to go through," Muzan said. "We just need some plan. What do Daki and Nakime like?"
Kokushibo shrugged. "Shopping? At least Daki does. Oh! We could tell them to go shopping for the gifts and then we'll make sure they grow closer through that?" he suggested.
"Yes! We can set them up to go to one of the stores that I pretend to be human in as a worker," Muzan decided. "I'll ask them if they're dating or something."
Kokushibo nodded. "Alright. And Gyutaro and Kaigaku...?"
"Ughh, I don't know," Muzan whined. "We'll think of that tomorrow."
He stood and clapped his hands, projecting his voice to make sure Nakime would hear him now. "Nakime! You and Daki must go shop for presents now. Understood?"
Nakime, confused, said, "Yes, Master."
There was the sound of the biwa echoing around them then Kokushibo and Muzan found themselves on a street. Muzan grinned, "Alright, you go think of something for Kaigaku and Gyutaro or whatever, I'll go do my shift now."
"Fun," Kokushibo sighed, walking off.
×××
Nakime walked silently beside Daki, wondering why the hell she had to do this. Like, it wasn't completely out of the blue since Christmas was coming up, but it really was random. Especially since he'd said for her to go. Daki would be more reasonable but Nakime usually just put up the decorations.
Why this this year?
Or maybe it had something to do with the fact that Muzan had been trying to get Douma and Akaza together...?
She sighed, raking her hand through her hair which was pulled up in a ponytail, her eyes disguised as human ones—two human ones. Distorting but she couldn't cause confusion.
"You alright?" Daki asked, turning to her as they walked, their feet marking footprints in the snow.
"Mhm, just wondering why I have to go," Nakime grumbled.
Daki laughed. "You'll live. Or are you cold? I can hug you," she said, grinning. She was wearing clothes more appropriate for winter—Gyutaro had insisted—and she looked absolutely... adorable in them.
The biwa demon shook her head as they approached the first shop. "We can't walk like that," she remarked.
"You can carry meee!!!" Daki teased.
"How are you to help me shop then?" Nakime pointed out, stepping through the door.
"Finee..."
They looked around, finding themselves in a clothing store.
"Hmm, I should buy that grinch costume for Gyokko now," Daki said, looking around. "I'll meet you at the front, no? We can meet up when we're done so we can pay and go on, alright?"
Nakime nodded and the two split up, going each their own way.
×××
Muzan waited, drumming his fingers mindlessly on the counter. It took a while and he was starting to regret having decided to take on this job as he knew Daki took a long time to shop, but then they finally walked up to him and he stood up, making sure he kept down his aura to a less menacing one, more fragile and human-like so they wouldn't notice.
"Hello! Having a nice christmas, I suppose?" he said, his tone cheery, matching his smile.
Daki nodded and placed her things on the counter—taking up half of the space. Nakime placed her things there as well which ended up only being half of the amount Daki had gotten.
"Yep, you?" she said, fixing her ponytail.
"I'm doing alright, myself," Muzan said, picking up the first item. "Are you two dating? You seem very close," he commented, careful to not look too curious.
He looked up and gave them a tentative smile.
It took them a second to realize what he meant and they flushed simutaneously, instantly shaking their heads in denial.
"No?" Muzan asked, counting the payment. "Such a pity. Close friends, then?" he decided.
"Ehm..." Nakime mumbled, her usually pale-white palor practically glowing with pink. "I suppose."
Daki nodded her agreement quickly. "Yeah... Close friends..!" she said, pushing what she was buying closer to Muzan, urging him to continue.
"Right, right. Nice to go shopping together, hm?" he said.
"Yep!!"
"You sure you aren't dating?" Muzan pushed, laughing. "Your 'friend' here is quite pink."
"I'm just cold," Nakime said quickly—too quickly.
Daki glanced at her, almost surprised, then nodded as well. "See, I told you you should carry me!" she said.
Nakime sighed. "How would we carry this?" she asked, motioning to their things.
"Uhhhh, with you hair," Daki joked.
"Alright, here's the charge," Muzan said, jotting it down quickly. "Anything else?" he asked.
Daki shook her head. "That'll be it."
"Mhm, have a merry Christmas!!" he called out to them as they walked out the door.
Once they were out of sight, he quickly placed the money in the cash register (idk what they used if it was smth diff so we'll just do it as it's done here now<33) and called out, "Kokushibo!! Go follow them!!"
Kokushibo, at Muzan's command, followed the two girls as they walked to the next store.
They walked in silence, their hands full with their things and their thoughts elsewhere. Both appeared to be flushed and most definitely not from the cold—especially since demons aren't affected in visible ways by cold.
Kokushibo followed them until they entered the store then he paused and went back to Muzan.
"So?" the demon lord asked, his eyebrows cocked in curiousity.
"I think that you've at least sparked something other. They didn't talk or anything but they were... definitely thinking about it," Kokushibo said, smiling.
Muzan leaned over to him and gave him a quick kiss. "Good."
×××
"Okay! For Kaigaku and Gyutaro, we're going to need Daki. But since she's... developing her relationship with Nakime, we can have you talk to Kaigaku first," Muzan said, leaning back on his chair.
"Why me?" Kokushibo huffed.
"Because he sees you as a father," he said, rolling his eyes. "And you can just pretend you want to see him for training or shit, I don't care."
"...alright. What do I say? Or do?" the Uppermoon asked, confused as to where this was going.
"Just talk to him about random shit then drop big ass hints that he likes Gyutaro and that he should ask him out. Kaigaku catches on with that sort of shit really easily, don't worry." Muzan sat up. "Shouldn't be too hard."
"You say it so vaguely, though..." Kokushibo complained.
"You'll do great, Kokushibo," Muzan assured him. "Want a good luck kiss?" he teased.
"Yes."
Muzan slipped around his desk and went to kiss him but arms wrapped around his waist and lifted him onto the desk.
"Hmm, don't go too far Kokushibo," he warned, though he gave him a tender smirk.
×××
Kaigaku stood in Kokushibo's house—a small human one with a lot of curtains and boarded up windows to make it look as if an abandoned one though it was far from that inside.
"Soo, what am I doing here? Training again?" Kaigaku asked, his arms poised on his hips in a relaxed posture.
"No, just talking," Kokushibo said, sitting down on a chair he'd placed across from the one he's put down for Kaigaku—who wasn't even using it.
"Hmm, what about?" the training-to-be-an-Uppermoon-demon asked, his eyebrows perked in curiousity.
"Stuff."
"Elaborate."
"Sit down, Kaigaku," Kokushibo sighed.
He sat. (totally a sentence)
"Start the conversation, then. I've got to finish wrapping the presents," Kaigaku huffed.
"Alright. Hmm, so your place as an Uppermoon? You'll be taking as... Uppermoon six if there were to be any vacancies," Kokushibo said awkwardly, after a moment of silence. He honestly didn't know what he was supposed to say. He'd had a vague idea but then he'd gotten all caught up with Muzan and... shit, so it'd slipped his mind.
"And...?" Kaigaku prompted. "I already know that, you know-"
"Right, right. Gyutaro and Daki are Upper six at the moment," the Uppermoon said, thinking quickly. He had to bring Gyutaro into the conversation.
"Mhm?"
"Maybe you should train with them? Like, Gyutaro, say! You seem to be around him a lot recently. Have you befriended him well?" he asked, mentally approving himself.
"Oh, uh..." Kaigaku paused. "Yeah, sure. I've... befriended him, all right.
"Very well," Kokushibo said, noting the emphasis on friend.
"Why do you ask?"
"I want to make sure you have closer sight on what it's like to be an Uppermoon. You should really talk to Gyutaro more. Ask him out if you want to go and talk to him somewhere more... private?" Kokushibo suggested, a glint in his eyes proving he meant other than what he was saying.
Kaigaku, obviously realizing this, flushed. "Ask him... what?"
"Out."
"I know, I meant, uhm..." he faltered. "Nevermind. Okay."
"Great! And hopefully he can be more than just a friend, in which you two can bond together in other ways to give you more experience," the Uppermoon said. He stood, then, and said, "Have fun!" before walking off deeper into his house to wait for Muzan.
×××
And then it was Christmas.
Muzan and Kokushibo lay quietly in Muzan's room, both having wanted a bit of rest, when the door slammed open.
They jolted up. "Wha-"
"IT'S CHRISTMASSS!!!" Daki exclaimed, grinning widely. She wore a sort of onesie that was red and white with patterns of reindeers. "GET UP FUCKERS!!!"
"Daki!!" Muzan groaned. "Quiet down."
"NO CAN DO!!" she said, dashing off.
Kokushibo sighed. "We better get going then."
"Right. I'll go see if Gyokko has the costume on," Muzan said.
"Mhm." Kokushibo kissed him on the forehead and then the two demons stood and walked out of the room, noting the decorations put up all over the Infinity Fortress.
"It looks beautiful," Daki said as Muzan and Kokushibo entered the main gathering room.
Nakime smiled. "Thank you."
"I know someone else she finds beautiful," Muzan said under his breath.
"What?" the biwa demon asked, turning her gaze to him.
"Nothing. Alright, Gyokko!! Where are you?"
Daki burst into laughter then, bringing the attention of the demons to her.
"What?"
"I gave him the costume of the grinch an hour ago and he'd been complaining that it's not fit for him to wear and that it's not artistic at all so he won't come out of his pots," she explained, pointing to one of the flower-designed vases sitting in the corner of the room.
Muzan shook his head. "Gyokko, get your cowardly ass out of the stupid vase and show us the costume. If you don't, I'm going to make sure every one of your pots are destroyed and your paints and materials are thrown into an ocean."
Gyokko, obviously shocked by this threat, gasped and the sound echoed in the pot.
"Well?" the demon lord said impatiently.
"Fine..." Gyokko whined, slowly but surely going out of the pot.
There was a beat of silence as everyone stared at him, the bright green fuzzy—but somewhat soaking wet—fabric of the costume making him look worse than ever as he averted his eyes to the ground, his face flushed in a red hue contrasting against his usually pale skin.
And then—
Laughter rang out from Muzan making nearly every Uppermoon flinch in surprise.
"Nevermind, Gyokko. You already looked like shit before but that's worse. You can take it off... at midnight," Muzan decided.
Gyokko huffed. "Okay. How long till then?"
Daki grinned. "Nearly twenty four hours. It's nearing to one AM of today," she said giddly.
"...Fuck. Can I at least stay inside the pot?" he whined.
"Nope, you have to stay out in that corner of the room the whole day, remember? And cry but I suppose that's optional," Muzan said, raising an eyebrow to see if he'd contradict.
"Fine."
×××
"Nakime!" Muzan hissed.
He was right behind Nakime, watching the other Uppermoons and Kaigaku exchange presents and talk.
"Yes, Master?" she said.
"Put mistletoe over where Kaigaku and Gyutaro are in a bit, alright?" he said, his voice low in a whisper.
"Yes, Master."
"Okay, now go talk to Daki or something and stop sitting by here the whole time. You can play  music later," he dismissed.
Nakime nodded. "Alright."
×××
Kaigaku was laughing as he spoke to Gyutaro when he noticed something above him. He looked up, his action being followed by a similar one by the Uppermoon he spoke to.
"Mistletoe?" he said. "Was that always there?"
"No, I don't think so," Gyutaro said.
Kaigaku paused. "Gyutaro," he said suddenly, grinning.
"Huh?"
"People put up mistletoe because you're supposed to kiss if you go under it. We're under it," he said, raising his eyebrows slowly, trying to get Gyutaro to understand.
"Wha...- OH." Gyutaro froze. "You want to..?"
"If you want to..."
"So... yes?" he said slowly.
"Do you?"
"...yes."
Kaigaku nodded and leaned forward, pushing the box he held in his lap to the side. "Yes." He closed the distance between them, their eyes fluttering shut almost instinctively.
When they pulled apart, both's cheeks were flushed and Gyutaro looked to be practically glowing, a shy smile forming on his face.
But then Daki gasped, and they turned to look at her. "What?" they asked in unison, as if the kiss had brought their words together.
"You guys... just... KISSED?!" Daki said, her voice almost in a shriek.
"Is that a bad thing..?" Gyutaro asked uncertainly.
"ARE YOU KIDDING?? IT'S THE BEST THING EVER!!" Daki squealed.
Taken aback, Gyutaro took a moment to respond as he blinked, confused, at his sister. "It is?"
"You realize the both of you have been crushing on each other for, like, months and said absolutely nothing?!" she said, rolling her eyes.
"Months..?" Kaigaku asked, his eyes widening.
"You too," she deadpanned. "You've liked him for longer, no?"
"Fuck off..." he mumbled.
Gyutaro looked torn between backing up Kaigaku or his sister and he remained silent.
Douma, noticing this, turned abruptly to Akaza—who was about to go talk to Nakime—and said, "Akaza-dono!! We both like each other too! Can we kiss??"
Akaza glared at him. "Fuck no!"
"Why??" the blond whined, pouting.
"Because you look like shit and you are shit," Akaza said, huffing and turning away.
"But... you like me!" Douma pointed out.
"My feelings have been corrupted."
"I wanna kiss you, Akaza-dono!" he said impatiently.
"Too ba-"
He was interrupted when lips pressed against his in a fleeting moment.
They stared at each other for a second, then Akaza turned red and turned away, covering his face with his hands.
Douma smiled happily. "You're pretty, Akaza-dono!"
"I hate you," Akaza mumbled, the words too weak to be true.
"I love you too!"
×××
(watch me run out of ideas so imma end it now)
"Hmm, looks like they're having fun," Kokushibo noted, smiling.
"Yeah. What about Nakime and Daki, though?" Muzan asked, sighing.
"Don't force it, they'll figure it out themselves.
"Alright."
Muzan leaned against his boyfriend's chest, their arms and legs tangled up with each others comfortably.
"Love you, Koku... Merry Christmas," he said, stealing a short kiss from the Uppermoon.
"Love you too."

concept for some christmas whump
feel free to use this prompt, just give credit!!
(cw -> manipulation, gaslighting/dog-whistling, emotional abuse, mention of cigarettes/smoking)
whumper gets whumpee a ton of presents for christmas and records them opening all of them. all of their friends and family are there too and it seems like the perfect christmas.
but as whumpee opens the presents, they realize that none of these presents are things they want. and not in an ungrateful way, either. they’re genuinely useless or harmful items. a pack of cigarettes when whumpee doesn’t smoke or has a respiratory disease. an entire closets worth of clothes that’s three sizes too small for whumpee. a blanket with a giant hole in it. a box of chocolates when whumpee is allergic to chocolate. whumpee tries to smile and be grateful. maybe whumper just didn’t know.
but whumper starts to egg whumpee on, and as the gifts get more and more derogatory and whumper accuses whumpee of not showing the pinnacle of gratitude, whumpee snaps.
“why are you giving me these things? i can’t even use them! you wasted your money just to make me feel like shit! i got you presents that you’d like, why can’t you do the same for me??”
and now, whumpee looks like a rotten, spoiled, selfish, overdramatic brat.
just like whumper wanted.
bonus points if whumpee has a reputation of being selfish or spoiled or aggressive, so nobody is really surprised when they act like this, and they're more tempted to take whumper's side. after all, whumper was just trying to do something nice. why did whumpee have to ruin christmas?
(also i'll bet you can tell by the colors which side i imagine in which position lolll)

My token for @cherryblossom-chopper's Sweet Treats & Sweethearts Event -> (check out other collaborators & stories here!)
CW: Allusions to religious practices (as there's suggestion that Law was raised a Catholic during childhood)
A/N: Reader and Law are in a stage of their relationship where they already developed an intimate confidence in eachother & had shared parts of their past. There was another story route I drafted continuing where this left off, involving Law and reader encountering a street orphan reminiscent of himself for full-circle parallelism, but I omitted it for the sake of brevity. It could be a Pt. 2, though :) Thank you for reading! (p.s. the lone png I drew is at the end of the story)
Throughout the night, a warmth lingered in Law’s chest analogous to that of a fireplace in the heart of a blizzard, contemplating the woman who shared his bed. It was difficult for him to sleep, reflecting on a new depth of intimacy established between them after opening up about his late family last year, and he wanted to spend a few more waking hours imprinting her peaceful face into his mind. Although he eventually got some rest, he was unable to return to sleep after waking around 4:30 am, so he decided he could use the time to do something special for (Name), given that they’ve been too busy to properly celebrate Christmas in previous years. He recalled her mentioning a desire to distribute bags of cookies to the crew and possibly a few children they may encounter when they docked for Christmas Eve. Furthermore, he had a notion that (Name) insisted on making snickerdoodles this year as a step to restore a piece of his childhood in a happier light, so he wanted to thank her, in his own way.
Down the hall, an unconscious awareness of his missing presence roused (Name) awake. Her hands reached out to meet only plushness to her disappointment, but the warmth of her captain’s body still lingered in the sheets and around her body, as he had draped his blue cloak over her before leaving, so she would not be cold. “Did he have something urgent to do?” (Name) whispers to herself, slipping into the armholes. Finding their bedside pitcher near-empty, she thought to quickly head to the kitchen to refill it and to her surprise, Law was already there, still shirtless in black sweats, and rolling dough balls from batches of batter that they made yesterday based on what he could remember from his mother’s recipe. She watched in momentary awe as the surgeon’s hands deftly worked to produce uniform balls; it was like with every close of his glove, a perfect circle came out. However, to her amusement, Law was making the balls too big, where they would spread to be as large as a child’s face when baked, but maybe that was to compensate for Jean-Bart and Bepo’s size. Still, it was adorable that a perfectionist like Law could perform something with such meticulousness, yet overlook a tiny detail. Quietly setting down the pitcher as to not alarm him, (Name) made light footsteps towards her captain, before wrapping her arms around his torso, causing his skin to jump at the unexpected flush of warmth.
“Good morning, my Law-ve.”
A quiet sigh escaped from the curve of his lips at the cheeky nickname and he turned around in his lover’s arms to plant a kiss to her forehead as a form of ‘good morning,’ “I thought surprises were being reserved for Christmas Day, not Christmas Eve.”
“Well, you might be getting special treatment because I love you, but it seems like I’m not the only one with an eve of surprises,” (Name) hums into the strong of his back and gestures to a few trays of snickerdoodles Law had prepared for baking. Red dusts his ears, with the awareness of being caught settling in, but the sensation of (Name)’s arms drawing him closer into her embrace was enough to know that there was nothing to be shy about waking up early to do a favor for someone he cared for and opening his heart to her.
“Are you purposely being generous with the cookie sizes, or can your hands not help it?” she coyly smiles, giving a last nuzzle into his shoulder, before going to the cinnamon-sugar station to help roll the batches of un-embellished dough.
“What do you mean?”
“The cookies will be as big as Jean-Bart’s palm once they spread with the amount of butter we used.”
The surgeon’s mouth opened by instinct before closing, as light embarrassment washed over him. More than a decade passed since he last baked with his mother and Lami, so he knew there were small details he could have missed, but he assumed it would be during the ingredients stage, instead of the prepping stage. “We could dust more flour on top of them?” he suggests. However, (Name) assured him that there was no need, and they decided on baking the big ones in a separate batch apart from the smaller ones they’ll make for crew members who’d rather have a stash of smaller cookies to ration over the 12 Days of Christmas. In no time, the duo finished forming the last of the batter and found amusement in rolling the balls in cinnamon and sugar, while they waited for the first batch to bake. Along the lines of their discourse, Law began to tell (Name) a bit more about his childhood.
“When I was a kid, one of my schoolmates thought that ‘snickerdoodle’ meant ‘laughing fool,’ because the cookies were allegedly so delicious that they made you laugh like one,” he relates sentimentally, “I argued that it came from people confusing the cookie with Schneckennudeln, or German cinnamon buns literally translating to ‘snail noodle,’ since both resemble a round snail shell, and it evolved into a spat.”
(Name) laughs to herself, imagining a young Law adamantly debating his point with a poor frog dangling from his hand, “There’s logic in your arguments, so I’d think you’re both right.”
“Heh, I guess so. If we were in the same class at that time, I would’ve been a little hurt that you didn’t completely side with me,” Law casually baits, but any flusteredness that could have expressed itself in (Name)’s face was channeled through how she absentmindedly began rolling a dough ball around the cinnamon-sugar until an obscene amount accumulated around it. ‘Only Tony-ya could eat that,’ Law thought to himself.
“Are you suggesting that if we knew each other as kids, we’d already be together?” (Name) teases after gathering her composure.
“Maybe. But that was a statement, not necessarily a suggestion, (Name),” Law smirks. He removed his gloves to brush a bit of cinnamon off her face, finding tenderness in the heat of her blush underneath his fingers. The two leaned in for a kiss and (Name) was thankful that she still had a clean hand to bring Law closer to savor the safety and affirmation radiating from his body that dissipated the cold embedded on her skin the longer he held her. But of course, the timer dinged just as she drew away to tell him she loved him.
Batch after batch went in and out of the oven, and the two went to work putting the treats that had cooled into bags. Thankfully, the bags (Name) bought were superfluous in both size and design, or else Law’s cookies wouldn’t have fit.
“Let’s see if eating these really do make you laugh like a fool,” he remarks, when the last batch cooled enough for them to enjoy. Upon taking a bite, vivid memories of a lively white town, a universal familialism shared after Midnight Mass, a young him passing snickerdoodles around his parent’s clinic, and Lami asking to put ice cream between the cookies, flooded the surgeon’s mind. He could almost hear the horses’ whinnies that took him and his classmates on a carriage ride from their school to Flevance’s Christmas festival. Perceiving the subtle medley of emotions playing in his gray eyes, (Name) took his hand in hers in a comforting act.
“I’m ok,” he assured her with a peck to her forehead and allowed himself to smile at bygone memories. Law did not know where it began, but over time, sharing his past with (Name) somehow made it less painful; where betwixt tragedy and his former bitterness at the world, he was able to reminisce on the good memories he had in Flevance that he formerly buried away.
(Name) leaned her head on his shoulder, until he was ready to recount his thoughts to her. Through his words, they traveled to the past where a gigantic pine tree donned in the colors of the aurora stood in a quaint town square and children helped their parents light the white candle of the Advent wreath after a heartwarming Christmas dinner. Yet the most moving aspect of his recollections she observed, was how his smile never left him since biting into the cookie recreated from his mother’s recipe.
“I think the people who named snickerdoodles were more confused than you thought, since they seem to make one smile rather than laugh,” (Name) jests, finding her lips in upturned company with her captain and the jolly rogers decorating his body.
“They probably used laughing powder in the old recipe,” Law dryly states, “Unless, we’re missing an ingredient.”
“Too bad we can’t ring up Buggy to ask if he has some on him,” (Name) shrugs in nonchalance, playing along, “But the cookies taste ok to you, right? I think we added the right amount of cream of tartar—“
“(Name).”
“Hmm?”
Upon lifting her head, (Name) broke into laughter seeing that Law had a cookie piece between his lips and began moving it in a beckoning manner towards her. The unchanged steely expression in his eyes, despite his actions, only made it more amusing.
“I think you just made a breakthrough in snickerdoodle-ology, Dr. Trafalgar,” she sighs in an attempt to stifle her giggles. He feigned exasperation in response and moved the chunk with further impatience to emphasize his secondary intentions, until (Name) gingerly took his face between her hands and gently bit off a piece, making sure to keep their lips just a breath away.
“We should go back to bed. There’s still a few more hours before docking.”
Law’s gray eyes flickered downward and did not relinquish his hold on (Name) when she shifted to get up, “Stay up with me for a while longer? Thinking about my family and Cora-san…I want to have some more time with you.”
‘Now I wonder why I’d need a batch of cookies to smile, when I have the Surgeon of Death?’ she thought to herself, before planting a gentle peck on his lips, “Of course…if it means being able to see you smile a little longer.”
-> A Law I illustrated depicting what he was wearing in the story for your pleasure, readers 🌹

🎵On the 24th day of Christmas, Ant-Mun gave to me actually all of us, me included this time:
So Ant-Mun took the 'Twas the Night Before Christmas poem and rewrote it to feature me and a special guest! It's pretty neat but kinda long, so check it out under the keep reading line!
Here's some mood music to read by if you want!
youtube
Ant-Man's Christmas Guest
'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through my house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
Cassie hung our stockings on the mantle with care,
In hopes that good ol’ St. Nick would soon be there.
I had just returned from a Christmas Eve tussle
And stopped some bad guys in their bah-humbug bustle.
Cassie was already snug like a bug in bed,
And I really doubt she watched dancing plums in her head.
Probably dreamed of saving the world like her old man;
I just dream time would let her stay young as long as it can.
I collapsed in my bed, not even bothering to shed my suit;
Just let me get some sleep and dream of sugared fruit.
When out in my living room there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.
I ran to the hallway then I halted my dash
And was surprised to catch a glimpse of a green flash.
I must be dreaming! What did I just see?
I could have sworn I just saw something...furry.
The twinkling lights from my Christmas tree
Were the only lights to help me see,
But I knew something was definitely amiss
When I heard a snickering croak and a hiss.
Then I saw him peek out and I had to flinch!
Holy fricking crap! My intruder’s the Grinch!
I can’t believe my own eyes as he struts and laughs
And shows me he has one of Cassie’s old crafts.
Hey! That green Christmas thief has Cassie’s ornament!
And he says, “My my my, how this is unfortunate.
The pride of Ant-Man’s tree now in my grasp!”
Why that little sneak, I couldn’t help but gasp.
“You’re actually trying to steal from me?
And take my favorite ornament off my tree?”
“Why not,” the Grinch replied, “I like to cause a mess
For people like you who are big on Christmas.”
“What happened to your heart growing 3 times bigger?”
He shrugged, “Old habits die hard, and this kind of thing gives me some vigor.”
Then he took off so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment I had to catch that Grinchy trick!
More rapid than eagles we were in our game of tag
But it finally looked like I had this win in the bag!
I said, “You’re a mean one, Mr. Grinch,
But catching you was actually a cinch.”
The Grinch harrumphed but offered no other chatter.
“Now, c’mon, give back my stuff and tell me what’s the matter.
Why did you really come to steal from my tree?”
The Grinch grumbled then sighed. “I want one of these things for me.”
I tilt my head; I’m definitely confused.
Why would he need my ornament; what’s the use?
“I’m sorry I don’t understand. You better explain.”
“Your ornament is special, lots of happiness it contains,
But you see, I have nothing like that of the sort.
No sweet memories or cheer, save for the Whos' newfound support
I want a trinket like yours, something given to me,
Straight from the heart just to make me happy.”
Well no wonder the poor ol’ Grinch was fighting such gloom
All he wanted was something special, a tiny heirloom,
A sweet homemade thing to warm up his old heart
Like how the ornament Cassie’s love on me will always impart.
“Aw Mr. Grinch, stealing my ornament won’t get you what you’re looking for
Nor can you get it online or from any store.
Just like Christmas, what you’re wanting comes from within
And given with lots of love that’ll make you forever grin.
I know why you want it, Mr. Grinch, and I can’t blame you.
Give it some time and I’ll bet ya Cindy Lou Who will come through.
She’s your big buddy now, right?
Just watch and see, I’ll bet she’ll give you
something that’ll excite.”
The Grinch asked me, “How is it you sound so sure?”
“Because just like Christmas, my kid and your little friend are rather pure,
And they show their love to friends and family
In those simple, sweet ways and do so happily.
Trust me, Mr. Grinch, Christmas came through for you,
And Cindy Lou Who will for you too!”
The Grinch said sorry for taking my ornament
And thanked me for my lack of judgment
Regarding his Christmas mischief
And promised that never again he’d play the thief.
We said our goodbyes as we shook hands.
“Merry Christmas, Mr. Grinch”, “Merry Christmas, Ant-Man”.
As I watched him go, I thought of all my loved ones:
Friends and family, online buddies and Anons
I’d give them all a hug if I could and hold them tight
And say “Merry Christmas to all of you! And to all a good night!”

🎄 he brews tea and hot cocoa for you (whichever you prefer), and always adds heart-shaped marshmallows ontop
⭐ forehead and head kisses when he walks past you
🎄 he sits next you while your working; just to hold your hand and traces loving patterns (like mistletoes or hearts) onto it
⭐ he makes sure you take breaks from your textbooks; you two spend this time together looking at the christmas lights outside and going for long walks in the snow (jungwon core)

🎄 ^^ "suddenly, strong arms wrapped around you, tipping you down to the ground so quickly your vision blurred the mistletoe hanging from the ceiling. you blinked, twice, before your boyfriend leant down to face you and whispered, low and quiet against your lips, "you're all mine now, baby". he'd done this many times before, and yet you gasped as he pulled you forward again, and all you could when he kissed you was kiss him back, an exhilarated glee bubbling from your lips"

6th day of christmas - ugly christmas sweater
this oneshot is dedicated to Candice. Thank you for helping me whenever I'm writing about Nessian. love you frenchie
Proof of Love (Nessian AU)
Tumblr media
If there was one thing Cassian knew about his girlfriend, it was that she loved receiving gifts. Books, clothes, a pretty flower he picked up from the street on his way home… Nothing could quite compare to the smile that took over Nesta’s lips whenever he surprised her with a new present.
Which didn’t really explain why she was now sitting on their couch, her book long discarded, staring at his latest gift with a blank face. Cassian felt his grin falter, eyeing the sweater in her hands.
“What is this.” She asked, eyes never straying away from the garment in front of her.
Yeah, Cassian was mildly suspicious she hadn’t like it all that much.
“An ugly Christmas sweater.” He said nonetheless, eyeing the red sweater. He had thought it was hilarious when he had first seen it: the upside-down bat and his cheeky grin, the little Christmas hat that was adorned with a real, tiny bell that jingled whenever Nesta moved.
He ignored the way the frown on Nesta’s face seemed to deepen whenever it rang.
“I can see that.” Her eyes flickered to him once before returning to the sweater, as if still not quite believing what was in front of her. Whether that was a good or a bad sign, Cassian wasn’t entirely sure. “Why?”
Now it was his turn to frown. “What do you mean why? So you wear it.”
“Where exactly would I wear this?”
“Feyre and Rhysand’s party.” Cassian said, since it seemed pretty obvious to him. “The invitation specifically indicated Ugly Christmas Sweater as the preferred attire.”
“My preferred attire is my normal clothes.” She raised an eyebrow at his wounded expression. “I’m not wearing this, Cassian.” She said, folding the sweater and reaching for the shopping bag once again. As if it was decided.
“And why not?”
She gave him a blank stare. “It’s hideous.”
“That’s the whole point of it.” At least he thought it was. When Feyre had explained him the concept, it had seemed a bit confusing. Could a sweater be too ugly to be an ugly Christmas sweater? Maybe he should’ve checked with Feyre before buying them-
Nesta went still. “Cassian.” She looked up at him, a flush in her cheeks. “Why is there two of them?”
Oh, right. Cassian grinned, taking the bag from her hands, and pulling out another sweater. His sweater. “So we could match.” He said, draping the sweater in front of his torso.
“Why would we want to match.”
He shrugged. “Because it’s Christmas.”
Nesta shook her head. “Doesn’t seem like a good enough reason.”
He stepped closer to her, making her tip her head back so she could meet his eyes. “Because it’s fun?”
She glared at him, crossing her arms in defiance. “To whom?”
He hummed, leaning down as he gently pulled her up to her feet. Nesta seemed unfazed, but Cassian knew better. The dilated pupils, the flushed neck, her heaving chest. He smirked, pressing a soft kiss to her lips. “Because you love me?” He murmured, smiling.
Nesta cleared her throat, pushing him away and walking to the other side of the couch. “Even love has its limits.”
Cassian stopped, turning with a grin on his face. He raised his eyebrows, watching her as she tried to keep her distance. “Is this yours?”
Nesta eyed the sweaters. He could almost see how much she wanted to say yes. How much she stubbornly wanted to stomp her foot, refusing to wear what was truly a hideous sweater to a party, of all things.
But she didn’t – not even when, hours later, Rhysand opened his front door and eyed them with humour in his eyes. At his growing smirk, Nesta stood a little straighter.
“Don’t you dare say anything.” She growled, walking past him without a glance back.
And no matter how hard he tried, Cassian couldn’t suppress the sheepish grin that took over his features as he watched her stomp through the foyer, jingling with her every step. Mother’s tits, he loved that woman.
He was suddenly extremely glad Feyre had explained to him what, exactly, an ugly Christmas sweater was. He was especially glad she had accepted his suggestion to make them the party’s dress code.
He found his brother studying him, a smile on his face as he let him inside the house. “I’m guessing she doesn’t know this was all your great idea?” He said, looking down at his own sweater. It was dark blue with silver-threaded stars and big, bold letters saying, If lost, take to wife. Feyre most definitely wore its counterpart.
“That woman is wearing a stupid fucking sweater for me, brother.” Cassian grinned. “It was absolutely worth it.”
“Whatever comes my way was absolutely worth it.”

can I have your attention
I would like to write a short fic this evening to post at some point tomorrow. The only issue is I don’t actually have any ideas.
SO
I would like as many people as possible to send a request, as brief or specific as you like, and I will pick the one I like best for the Christmas special. You can message, comment, or send an ask to request something. There NO rules, send whatever you’d like to see for a christmas fic! I’ll likely make a note of all the requests and try to write them all at some point
please!! I won’t be able to do it without any ideas!
