See, right from the very start of this special, I'm already conflicted.

By the '80s TV promos for it I've seen, I was expecting a mediocre, aimless Rudolph sequel…

…but… this is, like, the coolest dude ever?

Seriously, this version of father time rules. The affable demeanor? The clock henchmen? The scythe?!

The set design is absolutely spectacular, even before you consider the scale it was built at. Just look at it.

His throne has occasional cuckoos.

Occasional. Throne. Cuckoos.

Do I need to go on? I don't know what to expect anymore.

EVERY friday/saturday? that’s probably still more time to Be Around than the christmas toons good for them. at the very least they’re around every week Throughout The Whole Year and not for a specific few months at the End of the year

also sorry to completely derail this ask but it reminded me, there was a hoax recently that there would be an easter update and new rabbit toon to go with it, (w the screenshots of said rabbit toon i immediately knew it was fake bc it was not qwelver’s art style) but so my sibling and i were talking about it and like. if there was an easter special epsiode. that would’ve basically been confirmation that dandys world was a christian show right. bc like what other show is going to do an easter special. arthur walton born and raised Devout catholic /JOKE

so the lovely lady the Doctor spent a year at the hotel with is named Anita, right? what a coincidence...the name of Mrs Flood's actress just happens to be Anita Dobson 👀 with every passing second i am more certain that Mrs Flood is a member of the Pantheon, and her fourth-wall-breaking abilities are because she is the embodiment of Story or Narrative. i think that Anita was Mrs Flood in disguise...!! 🔥 (and are we absolutely certain that Sutekh was the only one responsible for Susan Twist appearing everywhere the Doctor and Ruby went...?)

It was produced by Hanna-Barbera and is the second Christmas-themed animated work in the franchise, after the 1964 episode "Christmas Flintstone."
