I feel like the thing I may never forgive the Crisp Rat for (besides being a right-wing loser and ableist asshole to his son) is that he made me, a bisexual fangirl, go "Thank god Star Lord's conversation with Thor in Love and Thunder wasn't very gay at all."

It is some truly unprecedented nonsense, that I would find a character so underwhelming I would prefer he remain heterosexual (in the MCU; he's bi and poly in some version of the comic, idk if it's 616) than even entertain the possibility he might have feelings about men.

But I suppose there's a first time for everything!

crisp rat seems to be problematic by all accounts with the homophobia and political stuff (if im remembering correctly didn't he abandon his elderly cat after it had health issues?), but I personally don't get the outrage over thanking his wife and being thankful that his child is healthy. its an incredibly common and normal thing to say and it obviously sucks that his son is struggling, I have health issues too, but can't he say he's grateful for his wife and that his baby is healthy without it being a passive aggressive dig. it just seems like because people dont like him, and like fair enough, theyre interpreting his words in the most malicious way possible.

I mean people fuck up, but given that people interpreted it the way they did I find it pretty weird that he didn't immediately take down the post, or apologize, or correct the record. Like, saying "I didn't mean it the way that people interpreted it but it was an insensitive thing to say and I'm sorry" is a pretty simple and acceptable thing to do, so the fact that he didn't do it when the world was like hey WTF is odd to me.

I don't want to get involved in drama and I'm pretty sure what I think on the Chris Pratt thing has already been said, but for me the biggest takeaway from all of this is to stop putting celebrities on a pedestal. I keep seeing people saying they were disappointed in Mark Ruffalo or RDJ, because they expected better, but the truth is, you can't expect better. You don't know these people, you've only seen what they've chosen to show you, but that's not necessarily who they really are. We should stop looking up to celebrities and expecting them to be our role models. These people are entertainers, they should not be considered a moral compass for society. That goes even for Chris Evans *gasp* (who also didn't defend Brie Larson) and Harry Styles.

Star-Lord and Thor, played by two of Marvel’s famous Chrises, are set to team up in the upcoming “Thor: Love and Thunder.”

Chris Pratt’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” character is set to make an appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s fourth “Thor” film, joining a lineup that includes Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman (who returns to the franchise for the first time since 2013’s “Thor: The Dark Role,” reprising her role as Jane Foster), Tessa Thompson (whose Valkyrie became the new ruler of Asgard at the end of “Avengers: Endgame”) and Christian Bale (whom Variety reported was circling a mysterious role).

Though plot details on “Love and Thunder” have been kept tightly under wraps, the crossover casting makes logical sense, since Thor was last seen aboard Star-Lord’s spaceship in the closing scenes of “Avengers: Endgame” and with Pratt’s Star-Lord already set to return for “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.”

Vin Diesel, who voices the lovable plant-like alien Groot in the “Guardians” franchise, teased to Comicbook.com in March that the cosmic team would be incorporated in “Thor: Love and Thunder.”

The fourth “Thor” film is set to begin production in Australia in January, with Taika Waititi returning as director after piloting “Thor: Ragnarok” to $854 million at the box office. Jennifer Kaytin Robinson joins Waititi as co-author for the “Love and Thunder” script. The Oscar-winning filmmaker will also voice the boulder-bodied Kronan warrior Korg for the latest installment.

“Thor: Love and Thunder” is currently set for release in Feb. 2022. Marvel and Disney had no comment on the casting reports.
