Aight so now that I have finished Brothersong I have THOUGHTS on further logistical breakdowns of how Green Creek could be adapted to a GLAAD Award-Winning HBO TV show. Spoilers so here is a cut for anyone who wants to be fresh to the series.
PRE-PRODUCTION
OKAY SO! The filming block for Season 1/Wolfsong would MOST LIKELY be the biggest, especially for scenes involving younger versions of the actors. As these are spread out across, like, all four books, some are just “scene we’ve seen but from a different perspective or with ‘Dream Seauence VFX’ so we just need more blocking/extra takes to make it all seem believeable using B-roll” to “yeah this requires Young Thomas and various child actors so we’re filming this beforehand so that everyone looks the same when these scenes come up later” to “ah hell we gotta shave their heads anyways might as well film the revenge road trip.” Thus, basically everyone but, like, Dominique would have to be cast by Season 1, and probably all of Season 1 and half of season 2 would need to be written and finalized and drafts/outlines of Season 3 and 4 would need to be made before casting would begin. Writer’s room would include TJ and a racially-diverse LGBT staff.
Caswell wouldn’t need to be fully built but enough of a location would be needed to film individual scenes with the younger actors and scenes set in the big house at Caswell (ie arguments between Mark and Thomas, Joe being taken, Thomas in the woods with the kids, Thomas writing the letters)
Title sequence would be based on the lovely new covers for the hardcover editions from Tor. They’d get longer with each season and by the end we see the whole pack in the papercraft style of the covers.
CASTING
Yeah we’d need a big ass cast. With multiple actors to play different characters at different ages.
Babies:
Carter, Kelly, Joe, maybe also Gavin depending on things
Children:
Gordo, Gavin, Mark, Rico, Chris, Tanner, Carter, Kelly, Joe, Robbie
Young Adult (ie Teen to Mid 20s) and Adult (ie by the Rough Present of when Ox first discoveres the secret of the Bennetts)
Basically everyone else
The tricky part will be that, yeah, there will probably need to be different actors for 20s Thomas, Elizabeth, Mark, and Gordo because while a 20-something can play 16 or so, its harder for 30-40 year olds to play 20-something. The upside being that an older actor CAN play Gordo for the scenes after Ox’s dad leaves (also Ox’s dad will need a name lol). You would need to switch to older actors for the Bennett kids and Ox basically once Ox graduates high school. But then you can keep all the same actors for the rest of the “present” set scenes. Osmond, and Robert Livingstone would also need younger actors. Richard Collins would only need one actor he’s barely in the flashbacks as it is.
STRUCTURE/PLOT RAMBLINGS
There are a few things that would need to be done in order to improve the pacing for TV, imo. Mainly, that the handing off of Alpha of All to the Fairbanks pack needs to feel more earned and less semi-random. Like, show them taking in Omegas at the end of Season 2, have them be allies at Caswell in Season 3 and the final battle in Season 4. Flesh them out a bit more. Also some continuity smoothing would be needed (ie clarifying that Gordo refused Mark’s MATE bite not Thomas’s BECOME WOLF bite).
Some more forshadowing of Robert’s failsafe in Season 2 would help. Obviously SHOW Gavin’s timber wolf in the attack on Jessie (and ideally have the actor be the body actor wearing the CGI ball suit moving all wolf-like in the scene) in Season 1.
I’d personally add in more of a wrap-up in Caswell at the end of Season 4. And also an extended aftermath scene or episode after Ox’s resurrection. Joe’s wolf is still bigger than almost everyone else, but not as big as it was when he was Alpha. One thing that I’d ask to be added is, maybe with the death of Robert and the ressurrection of Ox there’s a big ass magic pulse and we get a follow-up with the new Alpha of All from Alaska training Betas who have become Alphas thanks to Mystical Moon Magic as they rebuild packs across the continent. Idk the story needs more of a denumont. Alpha of All making more of an effort to try and bring Omegas back from the brink before just automatically deciding to kill them.
Dominique could have human bite marks on her to show thar Jessie tried to “Mate Bite” too even as a human. Bambi and Rico too.
He/They Gavin? Maybe? Gavin feels very he/they. Also Elizabeth showing affection to Maggie (hey if we’re gonna imply that Thomas and Richard had a kind of romantic love for each other in Brothersong before he went Omega Lizzie can make side-eye at Maggie).
Show more of the three year gap between Ravensong and Heartsong (not a lot but more than just one bit when Robbie is kidnapped). And the new story in the deluxe hardcover books too. The myth or whatever. That can be animated in a sketchy style (think Princess Kaguya or Wolfwalkers) with VO from Elizabeth.
Anyway rambling over I love these books so much. TJ I woudn’t say no to a LIGHT DRAMA/mostly fluff 5th book or short story. Maybe from Chris or Tanner’s perspective? Or Jessie’s?

What is a character?
This is a question I think about a lot. I don't have any answers to that question, however. Just questions, lemme use New Vegas t' pose these questions because I'm predictable as Hell like that.
We doubtlessly all agree that certain characters am characters: Edward 'Cesar' Sallow, Robert Edwin House, Benny, Craig Boone, Veronica Santangelo, Doc Mitchell and Jessup.
I deliberately brought up Jessup for the next question: is McMurphy a character?
What about characters who we only see dead, never alive, but have additional contexts? Like Sheriff McBain and his wife, General Martin Retslaf, Rangers Esteban Morales and his friend Jackson or Paladins Hughes and Fairbanks?
What about 'Blind' Luke and 'Sweet' Jill?
The dead prospectors who act as loot bags in some locations?
Are the Brotherhood Scouts who appear in Still in the Dark characters?
Is the Mitchell mentioned by Chris Haversam a character?
Is the Health Inspector mentioned by Corporal William Farber a character?
The Nameless Goodsprings Residents? Joe Cobb's Gang?
Is the act of implying a past experience with an unnamed person creating a character? Like are the people Cass says she punched for calling her 'Whiskey Rose' back in New California characters? The mercenaries Dr Thomas Hildern sent to Vault 22?
Is every NPC placed in the game of Fallout New Vegas, either alive or dead, named or unnamed, placed by hand or spawned at a spawnpoint from a template a character?
I could ask a thousand more questions. I could broaden the scope even further. Beyond New Vegas, beyond games to everything, but I think y'can see the questions that I keep in me head now.
Like I said, I dunno if there's answers. In me more extreme moments I declare a blanket 'Yes' to everything, but I'm never truly sure.
What is a character? What isn't a character? I don't bloody know.

Conversation
POV: You start listening to the latest DYNAR and IMMEDIATELY have to pause.
Chris Fairbanks: Hello, Karen, my friend.
Karen Kilgariff: Hello, Chris, my friend. How are you?
Chris Fairbanks: Good. We're speaking right after I almost made a grave mistake. I'm leaving tomorrow, so I was going to give myself a haircut, and then I thought–
Karen Kilgariff: No.
Chris Fairbanks: "This could go wrong, and if it did, Karen would notice." It's another one of those WWKD situations. Would Karen cut her hair? I'm not worried about fucking it up and then these shows, all the audience seeing that I gave myself some weird asymmetrical haircut–
Karen Kilgariff: You're worried about the lip I would give you about it?
Chris Fairbanks: I just, 'cause I honor your lip.
Karen Kilgariff: Well, finally. Finally someone does.

Minnesota Twins-Tampa Bay Rays Series Preview
9.2.24-Simeon Woods Richardson RHP (5-3) 3.85 ERA Vs. Zack Littell RHP (5-8) 3.89 ERA
9.3.24-David Festa RHP (2-4) 4.89 ERA Vs. Jeff Springs LHP (1-2) 3.67 ERA
9.4.24-Pablo Lopez RHP (13-8) 4.05 ERA Vs. Taj Bradley RHP (6-9) 4.35 ERA
9.5.24-Zebby Matthews RHP (1-2) 7.41 ERA Vs. Shane Baz RHP (2-2) 3.49 ERA
The Twins At A Glance- The Twins got somewhat on track after a rough patch of games. They took two out of three from the Blue Jays and now head out on a big seven-game road trip. Byron Buxton is going on a rehab assignment with the Saints this week. The Saints are home for the week and he looks to be activated for the Royals series this weekend. Manny Margot was put on the injured list with a right groin strain. The Twins called up Diego Castillo and Mike Helman from the Saints and activated Brooks Lee. Caleb Boushley was designated for assignment to make room for Helman on the 40-man roster. Royce Lewis busted out of a slump with a game-winning homer on Sunday. The Twins need him to carry some of the offense. Scott Blewett has allowed just one run in seven innings out of the bullpen. Cole Sands has a 1.52 ERA since the All-Star Break.
The Rays At A Glance- The Rays have been a disappointment and decided to trade guys away fairly early. Tampa Bay sits two games under .500 and have lost five of their last seven. The Rays traded away Aaron Civale, Shawn Armstrong, Amed Rosario, Zach Eflin, Jason Adam, Randy Arozarena and Isaac Paredes. Yandy Diaz is having a solid year with twelve homers and fifty-nine RBI. Jose Siri has hit a team-high seventeen homers. The offense has struggled a bit as they are averaging 3.8 runs per game since the All-Star Break. The Rays starting staff has a 4.10 ERA, which is fifteenth in baseball. Ryan Pepiot has found a spot in the rotation with a 3.76 ERA. Zack Littell continues to be a strong starter with a 3.89 ERA. Pete Fairbanks is the closer with twenty-three saves. Edwin Uceta has given up just three runs over 33 2/3 innings out of the bullpen.
What To Watch For- The Rays took two of three from the Twins at Target Field in mid-June. The Rays swept the Twins at Tropicana Field last June. Simeon Woods Richardson threw six innings and gave up two runs in his lone start against the Rays on June 20th. Zack Littell has a 3.21 ERA in four games against the Twins. David Festa and Zebby Matthews have never faced the Rays. Jeff Springs hasn't allowed a run over 6 1/3 innings against the Twins. Pablo Lopez is (1-3) with a 4.05 ERA in seven starts versus the Rays. Taj Bradley has a 5.06 ERA in 10 2/3 innings against the Twins. Shane Baz gave up five runs over 2 1/3 innings in 2022 against the Twins.

Ranking videos caballeros cine

2 Min Read Going the Extra 500 miles for Alaskan River Ice Fresh Eyes on Ice science team from the University of Alaska Fairbanks stop in the Alaska Native village of Shageluk on a community and citizen science journey of 550 mile by snow mobile. Credits: Photo by Amanda Byrd, UAF Teachers and students in remote Alaskan villages have become vital NASA climate researchers. These special volunteers are so important that last year, climate scientists took an epic 550 mile snowmobile journey to collaborate with them! You can learn all about it in a new video from the Fresh Eyes on Ice project. The researchers stopped at several remote Alaskan villages, where teachers and students at the local schools already understood why this work was so crucial. When you drive over ice-covered rivers every day—as many Alaskan residents do—tracking ice thickness is no joke. Neither is climate change. “We knew that climate change was happening around us.” explains Joyanne Hamilton, a teacher whose students worked with the team. “Our elders here in Shageluk were talking about changes that were happening….the data they’re gathering is ultimately important to the tribe.”  The new video features Hamilton, her students, and Fresh Eyes on Ice researchers Dr. Chris Arp, Allen Bondurant and Sarah Clement. It follows their journey along the Innoko, Kukokwim and Yukon Rivers and the Iditarod Sled Dog Trail. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (IDW) Micro: Villains #4: Alopex
Read Date: April 10, 2023 Cover Date: July 2013 ● Writer: Brian Lynch ● Art: Sophie Campbell ● Colorist: Sophie Campbell ◦ Heather Nunnelly ● Letterer: Chris Mowry ● Editor: Bobby Curnow ●
Tumblr media
**HERE BE SPOILERS: Skip ahead to the fan art/podcast to avoid spoilers
Reactions As I Read: ● I love Alopex as a character. I'm really curious to see where her story arc leads ● she's brutal
Tumblr media
● oh fuck… Shredder promotes her, but also burns down the forest. she attacks him ● actually manages to draw Shredder's blood ● she gonna fuck Shredder up one of these days ● 👏👏👏👏👏
Synopsis: Alopex has followed four Foot Clan ninja who are trying to sell clan secrets to a high-powered businessman and wannabe ninja. She takes out the man's two security guards and then the man himself. The four Foot ninja stand on guard. She tells them to hold up. She says they all know she's going to win, so to make it an actual challenge, she agrees to fight blindfolded if they each agree to fight with four weapons which happen to be the same as the Turtles' weapons (she apologizes to whoever gets the bō staff). Alopex tells them they deserve their fate, since they betrayed Master Shredder after he took them in to his clan. She takes them out one by one. The last one begs for his life, telling her she can keep the money if she just lets him go. She says there is no escape from the Foot and she kills him.
After burning down the building to destroy the evidence, Alopex returns to the Foot's headquarters. She passes Bebop and Rocksteady in the hallway. Master Shredder is waiting for her. He tells her that the conflict with their enemies is escalating and they need to consolidate their resources. In the morning she will accompany him to clean up one of their old research facilities in Fairbanks, Alaska. She knows it well; it's the place she was mutated, it's the area where she lived in her former life.
Upon arriving in Fairbanks, Alopex asks to be allowed to take care of the job on her own. She searches through the research facility, searching for any useful supplies and planting bombs to destroy it. After going through the entire place, she sees a rabbit outside and the sight of it brings her back to her old life. She remembers living with her pack and helping provide food for them. She tries to fight the memories back but they keep coming. She remembers the polar bear that kept all of the other animals in the area in fear, forced to hide in order to survive. Suddenly she sees a normal arctic fox run past. She smells something burning. She runs towards the source of the smell and arrives to see Shredder and Foot ninja burning down the woods. Shredder tells her that this is her final initiation and she is now a chūnin within the clan. He tells her it is time to let go of her past so that she may embrace her future; Shredder tells her he is proud of her. At that moment Alopex snaps and attacks him. He orders the other Foot ninja to stand down so that the two of them may handle it on their own. Alopex manages to draw blood. She tells him that he already had her loyalty; that his was just a senseless act of violence. Shredder smiles. He tells her it was his idea to mutate a fox to use as a soldier. He beats her to the ground and tells her to remember her place: with the Foot Clan. She wants to fight him off, but she knows there is no escape from the Foot.
On the way back to New York City, Alopex comes to terms with what has happened. She vows to be Shredder's most valuable asset, to remain close by his side. In this new life of hers, he is the bear now, whom all live in fear of. But this time, she plans on killing the bear.
